Forever Wars: Using ‘woke’ V-R to prevent suicide?

For the first time, in June 2023, Nebraska Air National Guard’s 155th Air Refueling Wing used virtual reality (VR) to conduct their yearly suicide prevention training.  For the past two and a half years,  active duty U.S. Air Force (USAF) units have used the experimental technology.

Supposedly, the VR simulation helps prepare military personnel in identifying, responding to, and preventing suicidal behavior. This is part of a larger, now mandatory, ‘crisis situation’ training.

“I think if we combined the face-to-face training, the VR modules and held small group discussions afterward, it would help people open up more and create trust with those around them. In February 2021, the active duty USAF began testing VR suicide prevention on Travis Air Force Base (AFB) in California, and Scott AFB in Illinois.  It was a first for the entire Department of Defense.  Since then, it is now in use on most active duty USAF bases, however, and despite the boasting by the USAF, no data showing it works has been released. In fact, a March 2022 article out of Moody AFB, Georgia, stated that “The virtual reality isn’t recommended for those that have experienced sexual assault or suicide.” (hmm, can you experience suicide and live to tell about it?)

In December 2021, a private sector report stated the VR suicide tech was about “therapy for suicide”, but I have not read anything from the USAF saying it is a ‘therapy’, only that it is about one Airman preventing another Airman from killing themselves.

During the ‘Cold War’, Czech-o-Slovakia was one country created by the victors of World War Two by forcing Slovakia and Czech Republic together (just as they did after World War One).  Czech-o-Slovakia became a member of the Warsaw Pact in response to the creation of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

In the Czech-o-Slovak language the BMP became Bojové Vozidlo Pěchoty (BVP), which means basically the same thing as the Russian BMP; Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV).  Like most users of the BMP/BVP, Czech-o-Slovakia made many different versions, including their unique OT-90.

According to the current Ministry of Defense of Czech Republic (aka Chechia), the OT-90 was developed to carry a squad of infantry equipped with anti-aircraft weapons.

The large turret of the BMP/BVP was replaced with a smaller turret (same used on the Czech-o-Slovak designed OT-64 armored car), to make room for the specialized anti-aircraft weapons.

After the so-called Cold War ended, Czech Republic and Slovakia went their separate ways, and since there was no more Soviet-Warsaw Pact, they both joined NATO (NATO felt it necessary to remain in existence, even though its stated enemy the Soviet Union no longer existed). Today’s NATO-Czechia replaced their OT-90s with NATO-United Kingdom designed Land Rover vehicles. NATO-Slovakia still uses the OT-90.

On 29NOV2022, the Ministry of Defense of the Slovak Republic announced that 30 BVP-1s had been sent to Ukraine. Officially it is part of a NATO weapons deal, in which Slovakia would get 15 upgraded Leopard 2A4 battle tanks from Germany.

Pandemic Perfidy: Empirical data proves lockdowns are a “failure of gigantic proportions”!

An updated (as of 05JUN2023) 2-hundred-20 page study has been made free to the public, it reviewed 19-thousand-6-hundred-46 pandemic studies, from the United Kingdom and United States, and found only 32 studies qualified for use in researching the effects of lockdowns!  Only 22 studies qualified for use as mortality data!

Here are some highlights (lowlights?): Locking down businesses reduced Pandemic deaths by only 7.5%!

‘Shelter in Place’ orders reduced Pandemic deaths by 4.1%, at most! 

Banning public gatherings actually increased Pandemic deaths by just under 6%!

School shutdowns reduced Pandemic deaths by 6.2%, at most!

Overall, the researchers concluded that lockdowns and mandates reduced Pandemic deaths by only 10.7%, with “negligible health effects but disastrous economic, social and political costs”!

This is an update to a study that was first published in 2022.

Forever Wars: Kuwait gets new Special-K M1A2 Abrams!

When did Kuwait first start using the M1A2? Way back in August 1994, it was reported that Kuwait got the first of 2-hundred-18 M1A2 Abrams battle tanks.  Back then it was reported that they cost $5-million each, and the deal was done through the U.S. taxpayer subsidized Foreign Military Sales program.

Remember, the U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency’s own website states that Foreign Military Sales are “…funded by country national funds or U.S. Government funds.” 

In December 2016, Kuwait wanted additional M1A2s to cannibalize (officially called ‘recapitalization’) for parts for their aging M1A2 fleet.  The order also included new 120mm main guns, new M2HB .50 caliber (12mm NATO) machine guns, M240 7.62mm NATO machine guns, and new turbine engines.

Then one year later, it was revealed that on top of the taxpayer subsidized Foreign Military Sale of additional M1A2s, Kuwait was about to get a special K version of the M1A2! The new M1A2K was supposed to be ready by 2019-20, but then some False Flag operation called The Pandemic happened.

In July 2021, it was revealed that Kuwait finally began receiving its new M1A2K Abrams.

Externally, the M1A2K looks like the M1A2SEP with remote controlled Tank Commander’s (TC) weapon system, and an external cooling and auxiliary electrical power generator mounted in the bustle rack on the back of the turret.

‘In the field’ photos of the M1A2K shows the standard M240 machine gun at the Loader’s station, no .50 cal mounted on the main-gun-mantlet but there is a machine gun mount present.  Perhaps the only visual identifier is the .50 cal machine gun mount on the main-gun-mantlet?

The 116th Cavalry Brigade Combat Team (aka Snake River Brigade, one of my military alma maters) is Idaho’s largest Army National Guard unit. The brigade is located in more than 20 Idaho communities as well as units in Montana, Nevada and Oregon.  The 2-116th Cavalry Regiment is headquartered in Caldwell with units in Emmett and Nampa, but is currently deployed to Kuwait as the 2-116 Combined Arms Battalion (2-116 CAB).

Idaho’s 2-116 CAB relieved their sibling unit, Bravo Company of the the 3-116 Cavalry, towards the end of 2022 (which had deployed at the end of 2021).  While the 116th Cavalry Brigade Combat Team is based in Idaho, the 3rd Battalion of the 116th CBCT is located in Oregon.

B-Co/3-116th officially ended their deployment on 05MAR2023, with a demobilization ceremony in Hermiston, Oregon.

The 116th Cavalry Brigade Combat Team (aka Snake River Brigade, one of my military alma maters) is Idaho’s largest Army National Guard unit. The brigade is located in more than 20 Idaho communities as well as units in Montana, Nevada and Oregon.  The 2-116th Cavalry Regiment is headquartered in Caldwell with units in Emmett and Nampa.

In February 2023, the 2-116th Cavalry Regiment took part in what is called Dragon Defender 2023, on Camp Buehring in Kuwait.  It wasn’t just the Idaho Army National Guard, the 272nd Chemical Company-79th Troop Command of the Massachusetts Army National Guard was also present: “I love CBRN [Chemical Biological Radioactive Nuclear]. I love that it’s not just one thing; there are so many aspects to it. It’s not just putting on your gas mask and going to a CS [Crowd Suppression gas, aka tear gas] chamber or checking your mask.”-Warrant Officer Kelly Osmon, Massachusetts Army National Guard

Dragon Defender included Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) training, specifically involving mounted reconnaissance, extraction and decontamination of victims.  WMD also includes explosives, and the Arizona Army National Guard was there to cover that aspect: “Being EOD [Explosive Ordinance Disposal], our job is to clear the scene of any explosive hazards. A lot of scenarios with CBRN weapons there will be booby traps or dispersal devices with explosives in them. Biden’s Borderland: Yet more states send National Guard to border with Mexico!

Mexican news media report drug gangs on the U.S./Mexico border are using anti-tank weapons (they are Swedish made AT-4 non-guided anti-tank rockets, the report incorrectly calls them Javelin guided anti-tank missiles):

24 hours after the governors of South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia announced deployments of Army National Guard personnel to the Joint Task Force Lone Star operation, in Texas, several more states throw their hats in the ring.

On 01JUN2023, Arkansas, North Dakota and Ohio ordered additional militia personnel to the border with Mexico.

The Arkansas Democratic Gazette reported that Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders is deploying an additional 80 state militia personnel, beginning in July, because of “President Biden’s failure at our southern border”.

There is already 125 North Dakota militia personnel in Texas, Governor Doug Burgum is sending an additional 1-hundred, saying “The threat to national security grows every day that the Biden administration abdicates the responsibility of the federal government to secure our borders – failing to enforce existing immigration laws and failing to dedicate the resources needed to stop the tide of illegal immigration and drug trafficking that endangers lives in communities across our country. If the White House won’t address this crisis, governors will, and we commend Gov. Abbott for taking the lead in the absence of federal action. The North Dakota National Guard has already deployed two units to the southern border in the past two years, and these additional military and law enforcement resources announced today will further strengthen efforts to secure the border and keep Americans safe.”

The Statehouse News Bureau reports that Mike DeWine, Governor of Ohio, ordered a new rotation of 50 National Guard personnel, for October.  There are currently 125 Ohio state militia personnel in Texas.

On 30MAY2023, Iowa’s  Governor Kim Reynolds ordered at least 130 state militia and police personnel, to Texas, saying “The crisis we are experiencing is a direct result of a dereliction of duty by President Biden.”
