Forever Wars: Using ‘woke’ V-R to prevent suicide?

14 June 2023 (07:40-UTC-07 Tango 06) 24 Khordad 1402/25 Dhu l-Qa’da 1444/27 Wu-Wu 4721/14 Июнь 2023 года

For the first time, in June 2023, Nebraska Air National Guard’s 155th Air Refueling Wing used virtual reality (VR) to conduct their yearly suicide prevention training.  For the past two and a half years,  active duty U.S. Air Force (USAF) units have used the experimental technology.

Supposedly, the VR simulation helps prepare military personnel in identifying, responding to, and preventing suicidal behavior. This is part of a larger, now mandatory, ‘crisis situation’ training.

Nebraska Air National Guard video by Technical Sergeant Phil Cowen and Master Sergeant Amber Monio, released 11JUN2023:

“I think if we combined the face-to-face training, the VR modules and held small group discussions afterward, it would help people open up more and create trust with those around them. I’m hoping one day every unit or squadron on base can have their own VR set-up for their Airmen to use at any point and time they want.”-Technical Sergeant Gian Carlo Cintron, Moody AFB religious affairs

In February 2021, the active duty USAF began testing VR suicide prevention on Travis Air Force Base (AFB) in California, and Scott AFB in Illinois.  It was a first for the entire Department of Defense.  Since then, it is now in use on most active duty USAF bases, however, and despite the boasting by the USAF, no data showing it works has been released. In fact, a March 2022 article out of Moody AFB, Georgia, stated that “The virtual reality isn’t recommended for those that have experienced sexual assault or suicide.” (hmm, can you experience suicide and live to tell about it?)

In December 2021, a private sector report stated the VR suicide tech was about “therapy for suicide”, but I have not read anything from the USAF saying it is a ‘therapy’, only that it is about one Airman preventing another Airman from killing themselves.

Gun Ban Fail: Man chops up suicidal people! Overt Japanese anti-gun op in the United States!

01 NOV 2017 (02:54 UTC-07 Tango 06) 10 Aban 1396/11 Safar 1439/13 Xin-Hai 4715

In total gun ban Japan (Nippon) a man was arrested for killing and chopping up at least nine people.  The last victim had posted online that she was suicidal and wanted somebody to join her in her death.

Japan has one of the highest rates of suicide in the world, despite a total gun ban.

One Japanese news report said the man was also able to get large sums of money from his victims. Neighbors admitted they smelled a strange odor coming from the apartment back in August, but nobody reported anything because in government loving Japan everybody thinks the government magically takes care of everything.   The suspect admitted his crimes to the police, he lived near a U.S. military base in Zama.

This year the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) boasted how Japan has “eradicated gun crime”, but obviously that doesn’t equate to eradicating violent crimes.

There’s even a Japanese group actively, and openly, brainwashing U.S. children to be anti-gun!   The founders of the anti-gun group, whose son was killed in the United States when he frightened a homeowner during Halloween, say their reason for wanting to help ban guns in the U.S. is because “humans make mistakes”.  By that logic then even police and militaries should be disarmed because they are nothing but humans, but good luck trying that.  The Hattori family now offers paid trips to Japan for U.S. children to promote Japan’s dependency on government and its anti-gun laws, falsely claiming that Japan doesn’t have violence because it doesn’t have guns.

By the way, even though guns are banned for the average Japanese citizen, the cops, and Yakuza, are still well armed!

GUN BAN FAIL: JAPAN HIT BY ARMY VETERAN KAMIKAZE BOMBER!

Black Horse & Apple computers: Apple rakes in huge profits, thanks to slave wage labor! Apple’s China factory installs anti-jumping nets to keep workers from leaping to their deaths. Idaho, Ohio, Michigan & Pennsylvania Republicans hoping China will build similar slave cities in the U.S.

…there before me was a black horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand. Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, “A quart of wheat for a day’s wages, and three quarts of barley for a day’s wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!”

January 26, 2012

Apple reported their 2011 fourth quarter profits at a record $13.06 billion!  That would be fine if it wasn’t for the fact that Chinese workers are being pushed so hard to make Apple products that they’re literally going over the edge to their deaths!

I love my Apple computer (it’s lasted longer than any other computer I’ve had, and with far less glitches), but, one of the factors in me buying an Apple was that I thought they were made in the U.S.  Apparently after (evil) Bill Gates became a major investor in Apple, production was shipped overseas.

Around the time Apple was reporting their record profits, Chinese media was reporting on a factory that made Apple products.  Turns out the workers there threatened suicide because of slave labor conditions.

It’s so bad that a Catholic Online article says Chinese factories are spending money to put up nets around their buildings, to keep workers from jumping to their deaths.

You see, working in Chinese factories is not like working in a U.S. factory (not yet anyway): “Chinese factories are self-contained cities with workers living side-by-side in dorms. Workers spend an average of 10-12 hours per day working, six days a week.” Also: “…life in a Chinese factory is unpleasant, boring, repetitive, and workers have little to no privacy, and few rights-if any. The food is nothing to write home about either. Employers can set workers to task at any hour, force them into overtime, and arbitrarily fire them if desired. It’s as near to slavery as one can get without the chains.” -Catholic Online

When I realize how much I paid for my Mac (more than double what I was paying for cheapo IBM types) it sickens me to know that it could have been made by wage slaves!  I thought one of the reasons for the higher price was that I was supporting U.S. jobs!

This month Apple’s contracted factory in China, run by a company called Foxconn, reported that workers threatened to commit mass suicide.  To give you an example of the crowded working conditions, Foxconn admits they have at least 32,000 workers living on their factory ‘campus’!  That’s not a factory, it’s a self contained slave city!!!

But guess what? The state government of Idaho has been toying with Chinese contractors to build such a slave city right here in Idaho, U.S.A.  They call it an “industrial complex”.

In 2010, the Idaho Statesman reported that state officials were working on a project that would allow the China National Machinery Industry Corporation (aka SINOMACH) to build huge a slave labor camp south of Boise.  It could cover up to 30,000 acres, and is “…based on a concept popular in China today…”.

That camp would include retail shops and homes for workers, and some reports say the ’employees’ will come from China.

SINOMACH also got involved with a fertilizer project near American Falls, but since then all has gone quite on that project.

Lobbyists working for the Chinese say Idaho Republican leaders are great to work with: “One thing these Chinese see is we have a governor here who has a great big open door policy, and I think that’s making a difference in this SINOMACH project.”-Pat Sullivan, lobbyist

The Idaho Republican’s open door policy for China is part of their Project 60 Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) plan.

Idaho Republican leaders love China: “Idaho’s the last state that should say we don’t want to do business with Asia. Asia’s where the money is.”-Brad Little, Idaho Lieutenant Governor

I’ve also reported on how most of Idaho’s Republican politicians are in the pockets of for profit prison labor operations.

SINOMACH is also dealing with officials in Ohio, Michigan (is there a connection to the union busting going on in that state?) and Pennsylvania.

Also this month, SINOMACH announced they will increase their efforts to set up operations in other countries: “We encourage our subsidiaries, including scientific institutions and design, construction and industrial equipment manufacturing companies, to go overseas and explore and develop new services and markets.”: Ren Hongbin, chairman of SINOMACH

SINOMACH (short for Sino Machinery) reported a revenue increase of 17% in 2011, for a total of $30 billion.  I wounder how much was from cutting costs with slave labor?

Occupy America: Police harass newspaper videographer following suicide of war veteran who joined the OWS protests

“Get out of here, now!”-James Trieb, Burlington Detective

In Burlington, Vermont, a local newspaper videographer revealed that the local police tried to stop his coverage of the suicide of a war veteran at the Occupy Burlington demonstrations.

The newspaper’s editor said it was a public news event that justified being covered: “It occurred in a public place where there has been a lot of controversy.”-Michael Townsend, Free Press Executive Editor

The video of the incident is posted on the newspaper’s website.

Occupy America: People, including war veteran, shot and killed at protests

On November 10, in two separate incidents, two people were shot and killed during protests on the east and west coasts of the United States.

On the west coast, in Oakland, California, what appears to be a gang shooting took the life of a man who might have used the protest to try an hide from his killers.  Occupy Oakland demonstrators claim the man was not part of the protest.

On the east coast, in Burlington, Vermont, a 35 year old War on Terror veteran shot and killed himself as a form of protest.  Occupy Burlington demonstrators say the man told them of the government’s failure to help him with a condition he developed due to his military service: “This person has clearly needed more help than we were capable of giving him here at this park.”Emily Reynolds, University of Vermont student

Back in Oakland, paranoid city officials are ignorantly blaming the possible gang shooting on the Occupy protestors: “I have been very vocal on the fact that this cannot continue. I think fear has become a reality. They should pack up and leave, if not, we should take whatever action is necessary.”Ignacio De La Fuente, Oakland City Councilman

In Burlington, the veteran’s protest by suicide has encouraged more people to openly protest.  It’s also encouraged the Burlington police to get violent: “We’re dealing with a large group of people. We have stuff available. We have to.”-Andi Higbee, Deputy Police Chief

Burlington media says up until the veteran’s suicide local officials had been tolerant of the Occupy protest.  That has changed, and the mayor of Burlington is even using the suicide to mount an anti-gun campaign: “We need to reflect on guns in Vermont.”-Bob Kiss, Burlington mayor

On average, 18 U.S. veterans kill themselves everyday

“No more veterans should be compelled to agonize or parish while the government fails to perform its obligations.”-Stephen Reinhardt, Federal Judge

The U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals has ordered the Department of Veterans Affairs to get its rear in gear.  It has been revealed in court that the VA is dragging its feet on helping military veterans with mental problems.

On average it takes four years for a veteran to get help with mental issues.  For vets who’re suicidal it takes two weeks before their first mental health appointment.

For years now the Department of Defense has reported on the record number of suicides of active duty personnel, and veterans.  Apparently the VA can’t deal with it.

Army Study Reveals more Service Members Dying at Home than in War

Today, November 11, is Veterans Day here in the United States.  If the wikileaks reports didn’t stir Americans then maybe the latest report by their own U.S. Army will, but I doubt it.

The United States Army has released a 350 page study (Army health Promotion Risk Reduction Suicide Prevention Report 2010) on suicide, which reveals a much larger problem within the Department of Defense; slack morale and morals enforcement leading to major problems stateside, besides the record breaking suicide rate.

The report states that more service members die in non-combat incidents, mainly suicide, than in combat.  Both the USA and USMC reported suicide rates of more than 20,000 in 2009 (USA = United States Army, USMC = United States Marine Corps, U.S.A. = United States of America.  Yes the punctuation maters.  In American English only abbreviations of country names and personal names get punctuated, organizations like a company, or the UN, do not.  Pay attention to most U.S. media sources and you’ll see they are using British/Commonwealth English rules, which is a sign that most ‘U.S.’ media are not really American).

“…Soldiers have become transient tenants…”

On pages 36-37 the report cited the need for speed in getting troops mobilized  for tours of duty as overriding the face to face interaction with leadership that “…demand good order and discipline…”, creating an environment of loss of command and control of their own troop’s morals and morale.  The process of constant deployment, and problems at home upon returning, has created the sense for the soldier that they are just a number in the system; “They are no longer linked to garrisons by a chain of command or senior commander but are regulated only by Army policies, programs and processes.” This lack of morale leadership by, ironically, predominantly christian officers (that’s from my personal experience) has also led to across the board increases in various crimes committed by service members.  By the way, a former Army intelligence officer, Richard A. Gabriel, warned of similar issues in his book that was published in 1985: Military Incompetence: Why the American Military Doesn’t Win.

The U.S. Army report is detailed and surprising with some of the stats.  I plan to write more about it as I read it, I doubt the main stream U.S. media will cover it thoroughly.  Do not blame Obama for this, this situation was created under the Bush administration, Obama inherited it (but he isn’t helping to end the situation, so far).  No, I did not vote for Obama, I voted for Ron Paul!
