U.S. Wildfire 2021: K-Max & 10 Tanker, waiting for the call

When the wildfire season officially starts in the Pacific Northwest of the United States, little used Pocatello Regional Airport becomes Pocatello Airtanker Base.

This year (despite the hype by main-stream national news), and the past few years, Pocatello Airtanker Base hasn’t been as busy as it was between the years 2012 and 2017. We had a plethora of water bombers, various types of fixed wing and rotary wing, some even coming from Canada.

SIKORSKY & USMC IN TOWN

The area is still getting smoked-out by regional fires, but nothing like the amount of smoke during the 2012-2018 years.  In 2018 the smoke from record setting California fires was bad enough that I taped furnace filters to my windows (I don’t have central air conditioning).  So since about 2019, most of what you see on Pocatello Airtanker Base are a DC-10, a helicopter or two, and the always present Air Tractors.

On 23JUL2021, I just happened to be checking out the airport and caught the crew of a Mountain West Helicopters K-Max, waiting for a call to action, sitting near the tarmac in 90+ Fahrenheit temperatures.

Video from 2008, Mountainwest Helicopters K-Max using Bambi Bucket during Piute Mountain wildfire:

And I was lucky enough to just catch a glimpse of a DC-10 returning from a water-drop mission.

Kit builders should note the noticeable gap between the water tank and the fuselage.

Also notice that 10 Tanker has given their DC-10s a new livery.

Trident of Poseidon: NATO’s new U.S. HQ fully operational!

“The survival of NATO and the success or failure in combat in a future war in Europe, will largely depend on the success or failure of this command.”-General Mark Milley, U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff (sounding a little paranoid)

In 2018, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO, which has become a global military since the end of the Cold War) announced that it would establish a new headquarters (HQ) in Norfolk, Virginia.  On 15JUL2021, NATO declared that HQ fully operational (Full Operational Capability).

U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Video, opening ceremonies where it’s admitted that NATO is more than just a military organization:

Essentially, NATO felt threatened by Russia and decided to create new ‘secondary’ military HQs outside of Europe, far away from Russia.   NATO’s Atlantic and European operations can now be directed from Virginia.

In this DoD video it becomes obvious that NATO considers itself a ‘christian’ organization:

In September 2020, NATO announced Initial Operational Capacity for its Norfolk HQ.  It is officially known as Joint Force Command (JFC) Norfolk, and is one of three JFCs around the world, it is the only JFC in North America.  All the JFCs report to the Supreme Allied Commander Europe in Casteau, Belgium.  In other words, a military HQ commanded by officials based in Europe is now located in the United States.

DoD video, U.S. Army General Mark Milley admits the seven-decades old U.S.-NATO alliance is about maintaining global dominance (“established international order”) by the ‘West’ under the guise of preventing a Third World War:

U.S. Navy photo by Petty Officer Second Class Joshua M. Tolbert, 23JUN2021.

JFC Norfolk hosts military personnel from 19 ‘allied’ nations and two ‘partner’ nations.  In June 2021, NATO’s Theater Component Commanders, and leaders from national headquarters around the Atlantic Rim, converged on JFC Norfolk to discuss ways to coordinate military activities: “The security environment has changed; it is more critical than ever that we, the military leaders within NATO, continue to reinforce our commitment achieving our shared visions. The strength of our nations is inherently linked and the security and stability of the Alliance depends on it.”-Vice Admiral Andrew Lewis, JFC Norfolk (sounding a little paranoid)

Operation CoViD-19: USCG makes 1st ‘Bill & Melinda Gates’ vaccine delivery to Haiti

“Until yesterday, Haiti was the only country in the Americas without a single dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Once on Haiti, Elizabeth City’s crew off-loaded the vaccines to U.S. Embassy personnel. USCG video report by Senior Chief Petty Officer Sara Muir:

COVAX is a United Nations pro-vaccine organization co-founded, and co-directed, by vaccine pushers Bill and Melinda Gates through their Gavi Foundation.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has this warning for anybody who thinks vaccines will save them: “Avoid travel to Haiti… ….even fully vaccinated travelers may be at risk for getting and spreading COVID-19 variants.”

GIDE-3/ADE-5 began on 09JUL2021, in Michigan. It involves A-10Cs of the Michigan Air National Guard (107th Fighter Squadron), F-16s of the Ohio ANG (112th FS), U.S. Air Force (USAF) T-38 Talons, Sentinel radar systems from the North Dakota Army National Guard (188th Air Defense Artillery Regiment), remote control helicopters (small R/C drones), a portable data broadcast system mounted on a Toyota Tacoma known as Cell On Light Truck (COLT), a portable ‘all-domain command and control advanced battle management system’ known as an Anduril Industries tower, an ‘enhanced’ cyber communications system called a Flyaway Kit, something called a Yoda Box which I have yet to find an explanation for what the Yoda Box is, except it might be connected to the now infamous Starlink satellite system (of which I warned about last year).

Photo by Staff Sergeant Devin M. Rumbaugh.

USAF video interview, a poor attempt to explain what a Flyaway Kit is, the interviewee admits he joined the Air Force to do “cool stuff” like Terminator stuff:

GIDE is officially described as a data-centric software-based experiment which combines humans and technology to innovate and accelerate development of systems for domain awareness, information dominance, decisional superiority, and global integration.

And just like in the movie Terminator, ADE is an attempt to integrate hi-tech systems and connect multiple sensors to a common operating network with artificial intelligence (A-I).  GIDE is a sub-operation of ADE.  And ADE is part of the USAF’s recently created Chief Architect Office, created in 2019 specifically to develop what they call a ‘system of systems’, in other words a system to control all systems.

National Guard units using the DRMKT after Hurricane Maria claimed they could serve 8-hundred meals per day.  If there are a mass of people to feed then up to 1-thousand meals per 90 minutes can be achieved, but only by using ‘boil-in-bag’ meals (basically MREs).
