Park Superintendent David Vela, at Grand Teton National Park in the western U.S. state of Wyoming, shutdown a popular hiking trail due to sudden “expanding cracks and fissures in a large rock formation”.

The Hidden Falls Area Trails and Inspiration Point are temporarily closed “until we can properly assess the situation.” Park rangers say “noticeable” cracks suddenly appeared in overhanging boulders within a 24 hours period!

Employees with Exum Mountain Guides were forced to move their training operation to a new location. However, nearby Jenny Lake Boating tours will continue.

Wyoming is also home to the supervolcano known as Yellowstone.

For awhile now I’ve been suspecting that the ongoing earthquakes in southeastern Idaho could be the result of secretive fracking operations by the petroleum industry. But this time it might be due to a sudden increase in activity around the Pacific Ring of Fire.

Here’s the rundown:

During the second week of January 2018, Mount Mayon in Philippines begins small eruptions and lava flows, then on 23JAN2018 it begins large eruptions. 25JAN2018, massive lava flows begin, eruptions continue. Now at least 81-thousand people forced to evacuate, and told eruptions could last three months!

18JAN2018: Big Waves, Flooding Batter Oregon And Washington Coasts

23JAN2018, in Japan, northwest of Tokyo, a volcano (Mount Kusatsu-Shirane) suddenly erupts. Cell phone video shows the eruption occurred in a new area not associated with the volcano, on the slopes of a ski resort. One soldier killed while taking part in ski training, 11 people injured.

23JAN2018, magnitude 7.9 quake strikes off the southern coast of Alaska.

25JAN2018, magnitude 5.8 quake strikes off the coast of northern California.

25JAN2018, the Soda Springs area of the inland state of Idaho hit with numerous 3 and 4 magnitude quakes (again).

One volcano can destroy all human attempts at curbing human caused air pollution, so stop trying to waste your taxpayer funding on trying to stop climate change. But volcanoes cause Ice Ages, not global warming, so mister-almost-was-president-of-the-U.S.-if-he-hadn’t-of-given-in-to-George-Bush-Jr-threats Al Gore, it looks like Mother Earth is taking care of ‘global warming’!

The discovery that the supervolcano known as Yellowstone National Park is far bigger than first thought comes as U.S. National Park administrators reported that 2014’s park attendance resulted in $543.7-million USD for the local economy.

According to National Geographic, Yellowstone National Park records “1,000-3,000 earthquakes annually.”

Recently 6th graders from West Yellowstone wrote comments about their week long field trip to the National Park. Apparently one thing that wasn’t discussed with the children was that they were sitting on Mother Nature’s Super Atomic Bomb.

Recent local news reports talked about the threat of drought to the National Park, as well as invasive aquatic animals being inadvertently brought in on boats.

Pacific Ring of Fire: Alaska volcano threatens air traffic

The Colorado volcano in Alaska is erupting, something that was predicted back in July. Scientists think the eruptions could get bigger, based on satellite images.

The volcano is on an island (part of the Aleutian Islands) and doesn’t threaten people, but, because it’s thought the volcano’s eruptions could get bigger, it poses a threat to air traffic.

Scientists are so worried about a major eruption that they’ve ruled out flying to the island for closer inspection.

The volcano has frequent minor eruptions. The last big eruption was in 2001, when the lava flows made it to he ocean.

Pacific Ring of Fire: 3rd volcano erupts on Indonesian island

For the third time this year, a volcano is erupting in Indonesia. This time it’s the Mount Lokon volcano, on the same island as two other volcanoes; Sulawesi island.

This time at least 4,600 people were forced to evacuate. In March, Mount Karangetang erupted, then on July 3 Mount Soputan erupted. Mount Lokon, Soputan and Karangetang are all on the Sulawesi island chain.

The last time Mount Lokon erupted was in 1991.

Pacific Ring of Fire: Second Indonesian volcano erupts

On July 3, Indonesia’s Mount Soputan, on the Sulawesi island chain, erupted. An ash cloud went 5,000 meters (16,404 feet) high. An evacuation zone of 6 kilometers (3.7 miles) was ordered.

This is the second Indonesian volcano to erupt this year. In March, Mount Karangetang, also on the Sulawesi island chain, spewed lava and gas clouds, forcing thousands to evacuate.
