Idaho gov’na Butch Otter says goodbye to personnel of the 1/168 General Support Aviation Battalion, 19APR2018

Just over 30 personnel of Idaho Army National Guard’s 1st of the 168th General Support Aviation Battalion (GSAB) deploying to Afghanistan.  They’ll be joining about a dozen other Idaho militia members that have already deployed.  It’s the eighth deployment for the 1/168 GSAB. (STOP YOUR BITCHIN’: IDAHO WOMAN COMMANDS 1ST FEMALE COMBAT TEAM!)

IDAHO MILITIA TOP GUNS

Almost 3-hundred personnel from North Carolina National Guard’s 1-130th Attack Reconnaissance Battalion and Detachment 1-B Company-638th Aviation Support Battalion deploying to train the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces.  This crusade has been going on for so long that for some it’s now a family affair: “I’m going with my son, so it will be a unique experience, probably my last big hoo-rah probably. What better way to graduate from the Guard than a deployment with your son.”-Command Sergeant Major J.P. Cole

To prove this a religious war the deployment ceremony was held in the Hope Community Church.

Making Zombies: USAF secret sleep deprivation experiment revealed!

18APR2018 (02:54 UTC-07 Tango 06)  29 Farvardin 1397/02 Sha’ban 1439/03 Bing-Chen (3rd month) 4716

Despite decades of studies that say the human brain must get sufficient sleep (including U.S. Army experiments in which soldiers were given meth) or it will become paranoid, suicidal and homicidal, the U.S. Air Force is conducting experiments to force humans to stay awake for extended periods of time.

The 711th Human Performance Wing at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is trying to find out if computer/electronic stimulation works better than drugs. An official video report was issued on 17APR2018:

In 2017 the U.S. Navy confirmed you must sleep, in response to increasing cases of personnel getting less and less sleep: “Sleep has been identified and prioritized as a leading Health and Wellness Department and disease prevention goal. Sleep is an important element of health and well-being just like nutrition and physical fitness. Adequate sleep is necessary to fight off infection, support the metabolism of sugar to prevent diabetes, perform well in school, and work effectively and safely. There were 37% of military members and 29% of civilian staff who reported they do not get enough restful sleep to function well on the job and in their personal life. Our department is focusing on the needs and benefits of adequate sleep with awareness, education and intervention techniques…”-Trish Skinner, Naval Hospital Bremerton Health and Wellness Department

“When we sleep our body goes through a very intricate process where it recovers and rebuilds. Short and long-term memories are allocated and stored. It (also) gives our physical body time to rest and rebuilt broken down muscle and tissue….   Chronic poor sleep can also result in cardiovascular disease, depression and obesity. When it comes to physical recovery, workouts can be totally wasted by not giving our body time to rest and recover.”-Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Christopher Stevens, NHB Mental Health

Also in 2017, U.S. Army’s Fort Belvoir Community Hospital opened a Sleep Medicine Clinic to deal with increased problems due to active duty service members not being able to sleep.  It’s working in conjunction with Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

“If that [service member] is not at his or her best, it could compromise that person’s safety, their teammates’ safety, it could compromise the mission … Sleep is a critical cog in maintaining optimal health.”-Melissa Mitravich, Belvoir Hospital Sleep Medicine Clinic

Why is the U.S. Air Force spending taxpayer money trying to deprive its own personnel from sleep?

The Idaho Air and Army National Guard recognized for top performance, again.

Idaho Army National Guard’s 1-204th Regional Training Institute (Armor) battalion received a score of 100% on its accreditation inspection: “The overall success of the battalion, including the accreditation results, is a direct reflection of the professionalism and dedication of the non-commissioned officers within this organization.”-Lieutenant Colonel Russel Des Jardins

The unit trains personnel from National Guard, Reserve and Regular Army units from across the U.S.  The 1-204th training battalion is experiencing a 20% increase in graduations, compared to last year.

The 124th Fighter Wing at Gowen Field, in Boise, selected to receive the 2016 Meritorious Unit Award, for their deployment to Turkey (TURKEY LOCKS-DOWN U.S. LED NATO BASE! HALTS IDAHO AIRSTRIKES AGAINST ISLAMIC STATE!): “There can be no greater recognition for a combat organization than that given for exceptional performance in direct combat with the enemy for both engaged and supporting warriors.”-Colonel Tim Donnellan

“While deployed the Airmen of the 124th Fighter Wing flawlessly executed more than 1,700 combat sorties providing two of the largest strikes on the enemy’s oil production and transportation resulting in a 50 percent revenue loss. They also led the Qayyarah-West airstrip repair, an estimated 180-day project, which our members were able to complete in only three weeks. Their recovery of this airstrip was key to support the Mosul Offensive. While 50 percent of the wing was deployed, members serving at home provided continuity through flawless execution of financial resources, domestic operations, and trained coalition soldiers through six major joint exercises.”-2016 Meritorious Unit Award

U.S. Food Crisis: West Virginia Operation Carrot? State sponsored survivalism!

16APR2018 (13:14 UTC-07 Tango 06)  27 Farvardin 1397/30 Rajab 1439/01 Bing-Chen (3rd month) 4716

You know things are bad when the National Guard starts teaching people how to grow carrots!  That’s what they’re doing in West Virginia.

Apparently there is such a low supply of carrots in the region that West Virginia’s National Guard and Capitol Conservation District are conducting operations Patriot Guard-ens and Farm Roots (in that order).  The first Farm Roots carrot growing course was conducted on 13APR2018, however, Patriot Guardens was started in 2017 (The Journal: “National Guard is transitioning armories into agriculture transition/training hubs”).

It’s not just a low supply of carrots but Director of Patriot Guardens Education and Deputy Director of Economic Development, Melissa Stewart, also says it’s about prepping for survival: “Sharing my knowledge of agricultural production is one way that I hope to help our participants find some peace of mind through working with their hands toward developing a more self-sufficient lifestyle.”

Patriot Guardens op at Recovery Point in Charleston, 22APR2017

One reason for the carrot shortage is that West Virginia’s dirt is not conducive to growing carrots, so the taxpayer/donation funded program is teaching individuals how to use raised beds and better soil.  The National Guard claims they’ve also got buyers waiting in the wings; area restaurants that are having a hard time getting affordable carrots.

Slow disaster relief: Florida militia discovers a major cause, new preps for Hurricanes!

16APR2018 (12:27 UTC-07 Tango 06)  27 Farvardin 1397/30 Rajab 1439/01 Bing-Chen (3rd month) 4716

“I stressed after Hurricane Irma that we have to get our counterparts trained as well, because we’re going to need them. We knew that it was not enough to take on the mission with just the four of us.”-Master Sergeant Abea Balala, Florida Air National Guard

Army National Guard units are the typical bringers of disaster relief aid, unless roads are impassable and then the Air National Guard is used to airlift supplies into affected areas.

During Hurricane Irma relief efforts Florida Air National Guard Master Sergeant Abea Balala, and his four person team, noticed a major problem with the supplies they got from Army Guard units; while the supplies were packaged for transport by ground vehicles they were not in a condition to be shipped by air (or a lot of personnel had to be used to on & off-load one box at a time), meaning everything had to be re-palletized before being loaded on aircraft.  This was a major cause of slow delivery times.

My experience in both the U.S. Air Force and the Army National Guard revealed that Air Force units do not have the manpower to quickly palletize a lot of stuff on short notice, but Army units do.

In this pic of Hurricane Harvey relief notice how National Guard personnel are ‘bucket brigade-ing’ supplies, one box at a time, off the C-130

The ‘higher-ups’ liked the suggestion of Master Sergeant Abea Balala, and last week the Florida National Guard conducted a week-long air transport pallet buildup and cargo preparation course for Army units: “On the Joint Operations side, we’ve been working with the Air side a lot more over the last two years than we ever had. They’re actually part of what is called the ‘Joint Support Group’ … and we work together to coordinate everything throughout hurricane seasons. It means better response, it means better use of our resources. It means if we pack things right and move things right, supplies are going to get to them faster, cheaper, and ultimately may save lives.”-Captain Daniel Munzner, Florida Army National Guard

Vehicle ID: That’s not a C-130J, it’s still the old C-130H!

“When we add these modifications to all of our aircraft, we will greatly increase the reliability and performance of the C-130H, and the overall lethality of the United States Air Force.”-Colonel Justin Walrath, Wyoming Air National Guard’s 153rd Airlift Wing

You can’t count on those six bladed props to tell you that you’re looking at a C-130J Super Hercules anymore.  The following pics are an old school C-130H upgraded with new engines and props that might make it look like a C-130J to the casual observer, along with a few other things.

The Wyoming Air National Guard is proud to be the first operator of the first C-130H upgraded with ‘J-like’ components.  Wyoming was chosen in 2008 to get and try out upgraded C-130Hs.

The C-130J has six bladed props.

Most obvious change for upgraded C-130H are the turbines and eight bladed air-screws (evil British empire Rolls-Royce T56 series 3.5 with NP2000 props).  The modifications took place over 18 months at Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas.

Initial testing took place at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida.  Supposedly the C-130H modifications mean various state National Guard units will save taxpayer money versus buying the C-130J.
