Incomplete (tip-o-the iceberg) list of U.S. Christian shutdowns, layoffs and Rapture oddities for the Gregorian (western christian calendar) month of March 2018.
Alabama: After more than 1-hundred years Brannon Springs Baptist Church (congregation down to just 30 people) destroyed by a ‘random’ storm. After 1-hundred years West Point Baptist Church destroyed by the same ‘random’ storm: “God allowed this to happen. But I don’t believe he was punishing us…”-Ronny Moore, West Point Baptist Church pastor
Arizona: Santa Cruz Catholic Church (registered with National Register of Historic Places) vandalized and nobody knows who did it. Tucson Baptist Church vandalized and burgled of TVs and computers.
Arkansas: The state Medical Marijuana Commission caught violating its own rules which specify that ganja cultivation shall not be located within 3-thousand feet of a church, school or day care center. A circuit judge ruled that the commission approved five ganja operations that violated the commission’s own rules, for personal monetary gain. A former state representative, and now former county judge/church minister, accused of taking $100-thousand USD in bribes from a now indicted lobbyist, the scheme involved a Missouri based healthcare provider and the Saint James United Methodist Church. A shooting at the Prairie Lake Missionary Baptist Church resulted in a 19 years old being shot in the arm, and an 18 years old being arrested. In Wynne, a supposed christian adult was arrested after trying to meet a 14 years old for sex after a church event (news reports didn’t indicate which church).
California: The Hundred Harmonies Association of Faith, which is pro-marijuana, is now suing Los Angeles County over a ganja bust last year. In Boyle Heights, a 13 years old was sexually assaulted and left unconscious at an unnamed church, for some unknown reason the church security camera video did not capture the incident. Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, in San Ysidro, protested the U.S. President and praised illegal immigrants. The city of Coronado forced to remove signage that promoted christian organizations, but did not promote non-christian organizations, in violation of the U.S. 1st Amendment. An 89 years old nun fainted during a court hearing over the sale of Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary convent in Los Feliz, the problem is that the greedy Archdiocese of Los Angeles wants to sell it to idol worshiper Katy Perry. The Rancho Romero Elementary School surrounded by protesters from the Westboro Baptist Church, who came all the way from Kansas to protest the taxpayer funded school’s openly homosexual policy.
Colorado: God’s own Saint Mary-Corwin Medical Center issued a mass layoff WARN, as many as 272 people unemployed between now and the end of September! God powerless to stop ‘his’ CovenantCare at Home from shutting down, due to the “saturated competitive market of home-care providers in this region and the uncertainty with reimbursement rates”. God’s own Porter Adventist Hospital canceled most surgeries due to a ‘sterilization breach’, which happened back in February. Several patients were exposed to hepatitis B, hepatitis C and/or HIV! Three 15 years old arrested for massive vandalism of the Destiny Outreach and Refiners Fire Ministry church. In Denver, Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church wants to build ‘temporary’ apartments for transgender people, blaming the city’s affordable housing crisis.
Connecticut: Somebody stole the altar cross from Immaculate Conception Church in Waterbury. Police say the adult son of the pastor at Faith Revival Center Church stole his pastor father’s checkbook and forged $11-thousand USD in checks. The First Congregational Church of Old Lyme now providing sanctuary to illegal immigrants. God unable to stop a woman from plowing her car into the the Saint Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church, police say the woman suffered a medical emergency while she was driving out of the church parking lot. God powerless to stop ‘his’ Missouri based Ascension Health from selling-off Saint Vincent’s Medical Center to competitor Hartford HealthCare. God powerless to stop the shutdown of ‘his’ Saint Francis-Saint Hedwig Catholic School in Naugatuck, apparently the religious school turned away from god and towards government funding: “The decision followed a month-long dialogue with local government leaders….which failed to yield workable solutions to the schools’s financial struggles….”-Archdiocese of Hartford
Delaware: To show you how bad America is addicted to opioids, an addiction awareness event at Saint Peter’s Church, in Old New Castle, drew about 950 people, the organizers were hoping for 150! The Canaan Baptist Church celebrating its 15th anniversary not by praising Jesus Christ, but by watching a free showing of Black Panther: “We thought that we would host a private screening for the youth and parents of Canaan to not only celebrate Black history, but also as a kickoff for our church anniversary.”-Nakishia Bailey
Florida: A doctor at god’s own Baptist Medical Center finally resigned after getting arrested in December 2017 for masturbating while examining a patient!
Georgia: It was revealed that 76 people across several states arrested for child sex crimes, including a former Floyd County school board member who is also a former church youth director at a Gordon County church!
Hawaii: The FBI investigating church Apollo Quiboloy for human trafficking, the church’s finance manager was arrested last month for illegally smuggling cash out of the U.S. This case is revealing a sinister side to christian churches acting as sanctuaries for illegal immigrants: “It did indicate some of the classic signs of human trafficking. And people who have come under religious worker visas before have sometimes been connected with human trafficking.”-Clare Hanusz, attorney
Idaho: Mormon politicians shot down a proposal to increase the number of state run booze stores by a piddly two stores, and to increase hours of operations on Sunday. In Idaho Falls, the First Evangelical Lutheran Church was vandalized and $10-thousand USD in items were stolen.
Illinois: In Harrisburg, the Little Chapel Church was burgled of cash, checks and credit cards, unfortunately the security camera video does not show the face of the burglar.
Indiana: Mormon Mitt Romney co-founded wunderkind Staples shutting down its store in Fort Wayne. Apparently female prison inmates are being forced to become christians in order to get out of jail once they serve their time. A Ohio pastor is on trial by the United Methodist Church’s North Central Jurisdictional Committee, in Indiana, for his homosexual marriage. A former Anglican (Church of England) pastor and now Catholic priest charged with domestic violence after allegedly attacking and kidnapping his own wife. In Marion County, federal taxpayers being forced to ‘save’ Saint John United Church of Christ in the form of federal tax credits to a property developer which will turn the church into a building for non-profit use rather than for-profit apartments.
Iowa: The now former pastor of Dallas Center Church sentenced to three years probation for abusing his adopted daughter. He did not admit guilt but entered an Alford Plea (meaning he knows he would’ve been convicted by a jury).
Maine: Too Big to Jail Catholic founded Bank of America suddenly laid off 30 people in Belfast, even though it is advertising to hire.
Maryland: In order to win over new converts, Destiny Church gave away five new cars. The roof of the Grace Memorial Baptist Church destroyed by fire.
Massachusetts: God powerless to stop the shutdown of ‘his’ 115 years old (surviving The Great Depression and numerous recessions) Saint Mary’s High School in Westfield, due to “demographics and a long term decision”.
Michigan: God powerless to stop ‘his’ Ascension Health from suddenly laying off 5-hundred people! It’s part of an effort to cut costs by $60-million USD, and local news media reported that more layoffs are expected this year. Methodist co-founded Coca Cola shutting down its distribution center in Port Huron, 25 jobs affected by consolidation ops.
Minnesota: God struck down the 135 years old Skjeberg Lutheran Church with a lightning strike that burned the historic building to the ground.
Mississippi: The Campaign Legal Center accuses the Remember Mississippi super political action committee (super-PAC) of violating rules by not reporting campaign fund raisers involving a church in Gulfport. The church of Father Jesus was denied a construction permit, not because the founder of the church (who calls himself Father Jesus) is an admitted paranoid schizophrenic, but due to a technical reason. A now former Tupelo Freewill Baptist Church accountant pled guilty to stealing church money, she’s now doing prison time and must pay back at least $61-thousand USD. In an act of paranoia (and showing a complete lack of faith), federal, state and local law enforcers locked down the Raymond Road Baptist Church, just so they could arrest a person on a neighboring street.
Missouri: God powerless to stop the shutdown of ‘his’ 76 years old Saint Clare Catholic School, current student enrollment is down to just 38 students. God powerless to stop the shutdown of ‘his’ Our Lady of Mercy Regional School in Cutchogue, students will have to attend Saint Isidore School in Riverhead which will have its name changed to Saint John Paul II Regional School.
Montana: A 13 years old kid went missing, last seen near the Missoula Bible Church.
Nebraska: God’s own Grand Island Catholic High School teaches students how to use guns, because it builds character.
Nevada: Without warning Calvary Christian Learning Academy shutdown in Las Vegas due to a bankruptcy sale. Teachers told local news media that they didn’t even get the notice that parents got, and parents say the school administrators made electronic withdrawals for tuition the day before the sudden shutdown!
New Jersey:Taxpayer funded, yet apparently under the influence of the AME Church, Essex County College laid off 34 people, due to a 25% drop in enrollments over the past five years.
New York: God powerless to stop the shutdown of ‘his’ Bishop McGann-Mercy High School in Riverhead due to only 55 students enrolling for the freshman year. Saint Isidore School, also in Riverhead, shutting down by mid-June, 20 jobs lost. In Cutchogue, Our Lady of Mercy Regional School shutting down, 22 jobs gone by mid-June. Catholic Charities Neighborhood Services issued a shutdown WARN for its Medicaid Services Coordination & HCBS Family Support Program in Jamaica, for July.
North Carolina: Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center threatened with losing Medicare payments due to high rates of cancer misdiagnosis.
Ohio: In Dayton, Premier Health shutting down its Good Samaritan Hospital in August. Cincinnati based Quaker founded retailer Macy’s killed more jobs, this time an undisclosed number of human resource employees, apparently in addition to the 5-thousand job cuts announced earlier this year.
Oklahoma: A now former cook for Country Estates Baptist Church sentenced to 15 years probation for raping a 13 years old.
Oregon: In Silverton, two teenagers arrested for vandalizing the local Seventh Day Adventist Church, causing more than $110-thousand USD in damages.
Pennsylvania: God powerless to stop the shutdown of ‘his’ Our Lady Help of Christians School in east Allentown due to the fact that there are now only 71 students enrolled.
Rhode Island: God powerless to stop the shutdown of ‘his’ 54 years old Saint Piux X Regional Academy, administrators said crashing enrollments are “a reflection of the changing demographics”. The Catholic Holy Cross church and the Sacred Heart church both shutting down because reverend Daniel Sweet says “We have more churches in the diocese than we need.”
South Carolina: Too Big to Jail Anglican/Episcopalian/Presbyterian co-founded Wells Fargo shutting down its money temple, I mean money center in Greenville, 6-hundred jobs gone over the next 12 months!
South Dakota: Several Sioux Falls churches lack so much faith in their god that they’ve formed the Sioux Empire Church Security Coalition: “We know we live in a world unfortunately where we have dangers. We have first person shootings being reported across the news channels all the time. We also have domestic violence that sometimes bleeds over into our churches whether that be the parking lot, or whether it be the congregational areas, even in our day care areas.”-Tim Maxson
Tennessee: In Shelbyville, a husband and wife arrested for vandalizing and burgaling at least four churches (Victory Celebration Revival Church, First Church of the Nazarene, Sevier Street Baptist Church and Scott United Methodist Church). The recently retired pastor of Nolensville Road Baptist Church arrested for child sex crimes at the church, allegedly taking place between 1998 and 2017.
Texas: God powerless to stop the shutdown of ‘his’ 106 years old (surviving The Great Depression and numerous recessions) Central Catholic Elementary School in Corpus Christi, current enrollment is only 60 students. Plano based Baptist co-founded retailer JCPenney suddenly eliminated 360 jobs across the country! Two people arrested after showing up at the First Baptist Church, in Sutherland Springs, and announcing that the church shooting which killed dozens of people, in November, never happened.
Utah: The Church of LDS (Mormon) investigating one of their own for sex crimes, it was revealed by MormonLeaks. A now retired church leader is being investigated for possible rape while he was president of the Missionary Training Center in Provo, in the early 1980s. New LDS President Russell M. Nelson says high priest groups will be dissolved and combined into elder’s quorums.
Vermont: The stained glass windows of Saint Ignatius Catholic Church were broken by a beer bottle.
Virginia: A now former pastor of Highlands Fellowship charged with ten counts of child sex crimes, which supposedly took place more than 30 years ago. A art history buff discovered a rare Raphael print in the 169 years old Gilboa Church.
Washington: A former Great Depression era Wallingford church, now the Carter Family Puppet Theater, for sale for $1.2-million USD.
Washington DC: God powerless against gentrification as property developers began their plan to turn the Mount Rona Missionary Baptist Church into profiteering apartments.
West Virginia: After four years of court battles, The Church of LDS (Mormon) made an undisclosed settlement over a sex crimes lawsuit, which said Later Day Saints leaders knowingly covered up the fact that the son of a local Mormon leader was abusing children. The accused was convicted in a 2013 criminal trial and sentenced to 75 years in prison.
Wisconsin: Syverson Lutheran Home shutdown, 80 jobs suddenly gone. Baptist co-founded JCPenney killing 520 warehouse jobs in Wauwatosa, starting in June!
Wyoming: It is now legal for christians to bring concealed guns to church.

Former employees of religious non-profits might not qualify for unemployment assistance (or even be counted as unemployed): “If the non-profit organization is a church, you may or may not be entitled to unemployment. It all depends upon state regulations for church employers. In many cases, churches are allowed to set their own rules regarding unemployment benefits, meaning the church can choose whether to offer benefits to former employees.”
