One Year Later: Fire & new radiation leak at Fukushima Daiichi!

14 August 2012, Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCo) said a new radioactive water leak has been found, coming from Reactor 4.

This morning a worker found a 350 square meter (1,148 square feet) room on the first floor of the reactor building flooded, about one centimeter (0.39 inch) deep.

The water is contaminated with 77,000 becquerels per milliliter of cesium.

TEPCo officials think the water might be coming from a pipe that is transferring contaminated water from Reactor 3 to a storage tank.  The pipe runs next to Reactor 4 building.

Also this morning, workers discovered a fire in a water pump.  The pump is used in a building that is used for filtering contaminated water.  They used fire extinguishers to put out the fire.

What Economic Recovery? 290 U.S. cities downgraded! Local tax revenues down, again!

“We expect downgrades to continue outpacing upgrades in the second half of 2012 as local governments navigate an increasingly difficult budgeting environment characterized by anemic revenue growth and significant expenditure pressure on wages and post employment benefits.”-Moody’s statement

09 August 2012, Moody’s Investors Service downgraded the largest number of U.S. cities/school districts since 2000.

The latest downgrades mark 14 straight quarters in which municipal bond downgrades exceeded increases!

In another report by Nelson A. Rockefeller Institute of Government, tax revenues collected by local governments are down, for the sixth consecutive quarter!

The latest reports and downgrades only adds ammo to the “tip of the iceberg” bankruptcies filed by local governments.

H3N2 Swine Flu spreading through the United States, children main targets, despite 2011-2012 flu season being officially ended

“So as of today, there are 145 confirmed cases of influenza infection with H3N2v virus, since the current outbreaks began in July of this year.  This includes one case in Hawaii, one case in Illinois, 113 cases being reported from Indiana, and 30 cases being reported from Ohio.  This is clearly a significant increase since last week’s total….”-Joseph Bresee, CDC

09 August 2012, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reporting that cases of H3N2v are now at 145 in the U.S.

Most of the current U.S. cases are in the mid west (some cases in Hawaii), with 90% of the infected people being children.  The CDC also believes there is a direct connection with pigs, and are asking people to avoid pigs if possible.

The H3N2v strain is a new version that showed up last year, and has been spreading around the World.

At the end of May 2012, the CDC warned that H3N2v was already the dominant flu, making up 60% of World cases.  But, the end of May is also when the CDC  announced the winding down of an unusually weak 2011-2012 flu season (weak for the U.S. that is): “This is the first time since CDC started this kind of influenza like surveillance (ILI) that the percentage of patient visits for ILI was elevated for only one week of the season.”-Joseph Bresee, CDC, May 2012

World War 3: U.S. occupation of Afghanistan; 01 Aug – 03 Aug. Pakistan blamed for more attacks. More examples that you can’t trust cops; police chief murdered civilians, signs of Civil War!

At least three Italian occupiers were wounded in Badghis Province: “An armored vehicle of Italian troops were on their way to an American base in Bala Morghab district on Friday night and struck a roadside bomb.”-ISAF statement

In Kunar Province, local government officials say massive attacks by insurgents took place all day Friday.  At least two people killed, the targets were government facilities.  Afghan officials once again blame Pakistan: “All the attacks are carried out with the support of Pakistan’s Inter Service Intelligence. The attacks were carried out following cross border shelling by Pakistani army which paved the way for the coordinated attacks by militants.”-Fazlullah Wahidi, Governor of Kunar

Wahidi is now claiming that Pakistan has launched 30,000 rockets into Afghanistan!!!

ISAF claims to have arrested a Mujahideen financier, in Paktiya Province.

In Uruzgan Province, local government officials arrested a police commander. They say he is responsible for the murders of at least 17 civilians. The police commander was actually from neighboring Ghazni Province. He claims he did it for revenge after two of his police officers were assassinated.  The people he killed included children.

In Nangarhar Province, a Mosque was blown up, wounding 30 people.

ISAF says two U.S. led occupiers were killed by an explosion in southern Afghanistan.

Officials investigating corruption within the Afghan government are recommending that Finance Minister, Hazrat Omer Zakhilwal, be replaced.  Afghan investigators implied that Zakhilwal is interfering in the investigation, and they are suspicious of a $1 million USD transfer made to his bank account.

Officials with the Afghan National Directorate of Security have arrested 15 government employees.  They are accused of spying for Pakistan and Iran.

In Logar Province, two cops and three civilians were killed, two cops and two civilians wounded, after a bomb planted near a water pipe exploded.  Local police say they have arrested the man who did it.

In Kabul Province, seven Mujahideen were killed by local police. Police claim the men were about to launch an attack: “A group of insurgents armed with suicide vests, rockets and machine guns planned to seize a tall building in Kabul’s Shar-i-Naw area.”-Lutfullah Mahsal, National Directorate of Security spokesman

ISAF claims to have arrested an explosives expert in Baghlan Province.  They say he specialized in explosive vests.

In Helmand Province, a local police chief and his two bodyguards were assassinated.

The Afghan National Directorate for Security (NDS) accuses Pakistan of creating safe havens for Afghan Mujahideen.  The NDS also claims that Pakistani troops have invaded areas of Kunar, Nuristan, Nangarhar and Paktia provinces.

In related news, the Afghan House of Representatives has called interior, defense, foreign affairs and intelligence officials to explain why Pakistan is seemingly attacking Afghanistan.

ISAF says two occupying troops died following an improvised explosive device attack in eastern Afghanistan, their interpreter was also killed. And two more occupying troops were killed in southern Afghanistan.

ISAF claims they captured a “leader” in Zabul Province.

At Kabul’s polytechnic university a firefight brook out among students. No one knows why.

In Maidan Wardak Province, local government officials say a NATO airstrike killed four people suspected of planting mines.  Also, four people who wanted to join the police were assassinated. A fifth person was kidnapped.

Recent fighting on the border with Tajikistan is being blamed on the United States and United Kingdom. According to members of Afghanistan’s National Congress Party, it’s all part of plans to create a new independent country in northeastern Afghanistan, and its adjacent parts in Tajikistan, for the Ismaelite Muslims.

One Year Later: They survived the Tsunami, but died because of botched rescue attempts!

“I sent off all the hospital staff because I believed that SDF [Self Defense Force] troops and police would arrive at any minute to rescue us.”-Suzuki Ichiro, Futaba Hospital

On 24 July 2012, Japanese media reported that a government investigation, into the rescue efforts after the 11 March 2011 tsunami, actually caused people to die!

In one example the hospital director had the staff evacuate the damaged Futaba hospital thinking the rescue of the patients would be soon.  Their rescue was a full two days later, and four patients had died as a result.

The rescue effort at the Futaba hospital still took five days to complete and another 19 patients died!

The recently released government investigation showed that SDF units were not trained to handle such large natural disaster rescues. But to make things worse, the investigation said lack of communications and logistical coordination problems with rescuers were the main problems.

Local governments are to blame as well. The Fukushima prefectural government had designated four hospitals to receive people from damaged hospitals, but, local government officials never notified the SDF, and they never even notified their own local disaster response task force!

One Year Later: Scientists cooking the books on radiation contamination. Now say radiation exposure was not at dangerous levels!

Reported on 13 July 2012, a group of Japanese and Russian scientists, working through the Hirosaki University’s Institute of Radiation Emergency Medicine and the Institute of Radiation Hygiene in St. Petersburg, greatly lowered the official radiation exposure records for victims of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster.

Now they say no adult was exposed to dangerous levels, claiming the highest dose was 33 millisieverts.  Previously they said people had been exposed to as much as 87 millisieverts!

The international standard is 50 millisieverts, before you have to start taking iodide pills.

The scientists based their new claims on data for radioactive iodine concentration in thyroids taken between 12-16 April last year, then tried to extrapolate using recent radiation plume tracking and various dosimeter data.  So they’re making their claims based on one week of human thyroid gland data, then cooking their scientific books with more recent numbers from other measurements that do not look specifically at the health of a person!

Oh, the scientists did warn that children were still exposed to levels of contamination above the international 50 millisieverts range.  So why not the adults?

One Year Later: Japanese tsunami hit town so contaminated with radiation, officials can’t dump radioactive debris, instead they want to burn it!!!

31 July 2012, the Japanese government is considering plans to incinerate highly radioactive debris from the tsunami hit towns of Hirono and Namie.

The destroyed houses and buildings have been contaminated by fallout from the ongoing nuclear disaster at the GE designed Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power factory.

The contamination is so high that local officials have been hamstrung because the debris can not be handled through usual removal methods.  A plan to build two new incinerators within the area was scrapped because of concerns about the radiation.

But wait, there’s more! In their wisdom officials have now rationalized that it’s OK to incinerate the radioactive debris as long as it’s outside of the contaminated area!

They are asking six municipalities to consider build incinerators for burning radioactive ruble from Hirono and Namie towns!

East Idaho wildfires continue to burn

29 July 2012, fires that started on 27 July, east of Blackfoot, Idaho, continue to burn.

Stevens Peak is 90% contained, and burned 850 acres (343.9 hectares).

The East Fire and the Ridge Top fires joined forces and have burned 12,000 acres (4,856.2 hectares) so far.  The fires are now referred to as Ridge Top, and is only 30% contained.

World War 3: Prince Bandar orchestrating war on Syria, U.S. leaders know of his connections to Al Qaeda and approve!

Recently an Israeli newspaper (Haaretz) published an article on Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s new intelligence boss; Bandar bin Sultan.

The following quotes from the article show that the so called revolution in Syria is actually an outside invasion, and that the United States is in bed with al Qaeda (after all it was the U.S. that came up with the name al Qaeda).

“…the main reason for his appointment now is that Saudi Arabia is preparing for the next stage in Syria, after President Bashar Assad leaves the political stage one way or another and Syria becomes a battleground for influence.”

“…his [Bandar’s] wife was investigated by [U.S.] Congress a decade ago about her connections to Al-Qaida…”-Saudi Arabia is ruled by royalists who are Salafi/Wahhabi Muslims, the same Islamic group that Osama bin Laden was part of, the same Islamic group that most of the members of the U.S. named al Qaeda belong to, the same Islamic group that the 9/11 attackers belonged to.  15 of the 19 hijackers on 11 September 2001, came from Saudi Arabia, not from Afghanistan, not from Iraq, not from Libya, not from Syria and not from Iran.  In fact none of the 9/11 attackers were from Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Libya or Syria!

“Bandar is a member of the part of the royal family that opposes the revolutions in the Arab states….”-This is proof that what happened in Libya, and what is happening in Syria are not revolutions

“…Bandar was the one behind the decision to give money to the Syrian rebels, and even to buy weapons for them. They say the Saudi demand that Assad step down is part of Bandar’s strategy, which guides the kingdom far more than the positions of the 88-year-old king, whose health is failing.”

What Economic Recovery? Britain in worst double dip recession ever, blame the Queen!

25 July 2012, Office for National Statistics announced another drop in GDP, for the third month in a row, officially putting the United Kingdom back into a recession.

U.K. economic performance data started being recorded in 1955, and the current situation is worse than anything on official record!

Officials with the Office for National Statistics are still adding up the costs of celebrating the queen’s Diamond Jubilee, but are already calling it a “significant hit” to the British economy.  Any public event involving the Royals is paid for by the government/taxpayers.

Some analysts say the Diamond Jubilee celebration actually stopped any economic recovery in Britain.

“They [government leaders] need to change course as their policies are causing permanent damage to our economy.”-Brendan Barber, Trades Union Congress
