Marijuana saves Colorado! Illegal immigrants protected in Idaho? : September 2016 U.S. FEDERAL, STATE & LOCAL SHENANIGANS

Incomplete list (there’s just too much government BS to be able to keep up with all of it) of U.S. Federal/State/Local Government self-destruct announcements for September 2016:

Arkansas:  July sales tax revenues for the cities of Fayetteville,  Rogers, Springdale, Bentonville were up compared to July of 2015.  There was no immediate explaination for the increase in tax revenues.

Arizona:  Counties are begging the state goverment to raise gas taxes, threatening an increase in property taxes as an alternative.  County leaders point out that since 2008 state administrators have used gas tax revenues for things other than road repairs!

California: Not only has Cupertino based Apple avoided paying its fair share of taxes to the not-so Golden State, as well as Taiwan, United States and European Union, but also failed to pay its fair share of taxes owed to Japan! Apple was apparently offshoring profits made in Japan to its tax haven operations in Ireland.  Once caught Apple administrators quickly agreed to pay Japan $118-million USD in back-due taxes!  Last month The Guardian reported that the Obama regime is threatening the European Union (an ally of the U.S.) for demanding U.S. companies like Apple pay their fair share in taxes!

Colorado: As everything else declines state and local tax revenues from marijuana sales continue to climb, but local news reports say desperate cities addicted to tax revenues are now fighting over how much of the state collections they’ll get, and how they can spend the money.  For an example, the city of Edgewater claims they’ll make $1.2-million USD off the sale of marijuana! 

Idaho: The State Police will stop enforcing a booze law that allows them to crash establishments that serve alcohol during ‘live sex acts’.  It’s the result of a lawsuit that proved that the law being used to harass bars with adult performers is too vague, and possibly unconstitutional.    And the State Police are being sued for the 2013 killing of a Montana man.  The man was questioned by police for 40 minutes before they shot him while he was sitting in the passenger’s seat of his car.  Police claim the license plates didn’t match the man’s car and that there was a gun in the glove box. The family of the victim says police dash-cam video shows their son never threatened police with any gun.  Boise State Public Radio revelaed that the federal government refuses to reveal how many illegal immigrants in Idaho get deported.  The U.S. Department of Homeland Security/Immigration and Customs Enforcement admitted that actual deportations have declined since 2012, due to a focus on immigrants convicted in court of crimes other than immigration violations.   Here in Idaho deportations in 2015 dropped by about 4-hundred compared to 2011.  And in Camas County, actor Bruce Willis‘ plans for a private airport crashed and burned after complaints from residents, and the city of Ketchum claimed it violated local laws.  Apparently the land was zoned specifically for agricultural use.

Indiana: Dearborn County facing crashing riverboat gambling tax collections as analysts expect a 15% decline in the next two years.  Local news reports say the county has been relying on casino taxes to support its budget and even with projected declines the casino tax still brings in the most revenue.

Louisiana: More proof of a Failed State; the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Department eliminating 26 jobs, directly blaming crashing sales tax revenues.

Michigan: More proof of a Failed State; Montcalm County eliminating 20 jobs due to crashing tax revenues.  Operating costs have outpace tax revenues by $2-million USD per year since 2012!  Detroit Metropolitan Airport claims skyrocketing revenues from fees charged to airlines, to vendors and for parking.  Thomas Naughton, CEO of the airport, credits “…increased demand and air service opportunities that have resulted in part by keeping our airline rates competitive…” Grand Rapids owned Indian Trails Golf Course threatening the city budget due to its $2.8-million income tax funded renovation.  The problem is that optimistic city leaders expected almost $700-thousand from customer fees to help repay the renovation, which is now 50 days behind schedule.

Mississippi: The city of Jackson eliminating 28 jobs in an attempt to balance their budget.  In Leake County, the troubled taxpayer funded Mormon corporate run Management and Training Corporation’s (MTC) Walnut Grove child prison shutdown after a lawsuit revealed years of sexual abuse, illicit drugs and physical abuse of child prisoners by corporate correctional officers.

Missouri: Kansas City reports a 58% increase in revenues due to its ‘special’ property and sales tax created to fund its new downtown public transportation streetcars.  However, analysts point out that most of the increased revenues took place before the streetcar system went into operation and that the actuall economic impact of the new streetcar system is not yet knowable.

Nebraska: The Omaha Public Power District eliminating an ‘estimated’ 4-hundred jobs at the soon to be shutdown Fort Calhoun nuke plant!

New Mexico: The state Department of Tourism shutting down 50% of its visitor centers claiming its due to lack of use, but its really because the gov’na ordered a 5% reduction in spending.

Oklahoma:  Oklahoma City revealed sales tax revenues continue to crash, and ordered more city government layoffs.  The city needs to cut an additional $4.5-million USD.  Reduced tax collections forced Comanche County to reduce next year’s budget by $204-thousand.

Pennsylvania: Local news reports say the city of Hazelton is short $813-thousand in tax collections, yet the mayor is asking for a 5% increase in spending so he can hire more people.

Tennessee: Evil Nashville based tax-sucking for profit prison company CCA (Corrections Corporation of America) laid off 55 HQ employees due to the federal government ending reliance on corporate run, yet still taxpayer funded, prisons.

Texas: Brown County reports that all cities within the county are suffering crashing sales tax revenues, for the fourth month in a row.  However, some cities leaders swear their sales tax collections will be up for the year.   The city of Plainview unanimously adopted a new budget that increased property values (a backdoor way of increasing property taxes) without hearing any public comment on the budget plan.

Virginia: City of Falls Church claims hard-to-believe tax revenues from a two months old mega-gorcery store/apartment complex combo, and that’s despite a sudden change of corporate ownership.  The city council is crediting the new mega-gorcery store/apartment complex for helping create almost $500-thousand USD more than what was expected in fiscal year tax collections.  The city of Fredericksburg claims an across the board increase in tax revenues.  City leaders credit tourism for most of the tax revenue increases. Fairfax County wants to rape the tourists even more by proposing a 4% meal tax!  Residents will vote on the proposal in November. 

Washington: King County claims their local economy is strong, yet property tax revenues continue to go down.  County leaders warn they must cut $22-million USD from next year’s budget, meaning jobs.    Davis County wants to massively jack up property taxes for 2017.  Leaders want an additional $7.2-million for county operations and $1.25-million for the county library system.   

Washington DC: More proof of a Failed State; the Congress passed yet anther short term spending bill to avoid federal government shutdown.  The new spending bill is good only until December, and will cost taxpayers trillions of U.S. dollars.  Federal tax collector Internal Revenue Service (IRS) announced it must kill-off more than 7-thousand jobs between now and 2024, due to crashing hard copy filings of income tax ‘returns’!    The massive layoffs will directly affect the states of California, Kentucky, Missouri, Texas and Utah.

Wisconsin: The ijiot ‘Right to Work’ you over gov-na Scott Walker is now so desperate to save his Failed State economy he’s proposing a sales tax holiday on school supply items.  If the state cheese-weenie-head ‘lawmakers’ approve it it’ll go into effect in the 2017-19 school year.

In the Indian territory of Delhi 15 people have died since 12 September after being bitten by mosquitoes, the same type of mosquitoes that can pass the Zika virus.  But it’s not Zika, it’s Chikungunya.

More than 1-thousand people in the territory are known to be infected with Chikungunya.  Interestingly government health administrators in Delhi did not consider Chikungunya (aka CHIKV, the V is for virus) to be so dangerous that it had to be reported to state health officials, which means that the actual number of Chikungunya cases could be much higher.  Local news reports say health officials are now requiring hospitals to notify them of anymore cases, however, they’ve also ordered hospitals not to talk to the news media!

So far everybody who has died had other medical problems, and died after they were admitted to hospitals.  There are reports that health administrators failed to spray for mosquitoes this year, due to lack of funding.   Delhi administrators say they are now gearing up to begin spraying using a specialized train called The Terminator, supposedly because most of the new mosquitoes are hatching around railroad tracks.  However, it’ll take at least one week to equip the train and train the personnel how to use the equipment!

CHIKV infections were first noticed in 1955.  It was not considered dangerous as it was rare if an infected person died.  In 2005 CHIKV had mutated and began rapidly spreading around the world, and it became stronger.

By 2015 the virus was found in most of the Americas, Africa and eastern Asia.  This year it looks like the virus mutated again, becoming deadly.  Not only that, one Indian doctor, Rajeev Saxena, says many people are showing CHIKV symptoms but are testing negative for the virus.  This suggests that the current test doesn’t work.  Also, there is no vaccine or cure for CHIKV.

The symptoms are typical of virus infections; fever, rash, joint pain, fatigue, upset stomach, etc.  They show up about a week to two weeks after you’re bit, and can last for ten days.   Survivors in India report that the joint pain isn’t going away, even after they’ve been declared free of the infection.   In previous CHIKV outbreaks about 20% of the victims have recuring symptoms a year later.

A major problem has been noticed with diagnosing CHIKV, the same mosquito (which can pass Zika) also passes on Dengue and Malaria resulting in a sick person actually having multiple viral infections.

The Obama regime has signed a deal with the devil, and promised a record setting $38-billion in U.S. tax dollars to fund the Israeli military starting in 2019!

But wait, there’s more! Israeli news media explained that the deal does not stop Israel from asking for even more money!  The record setting deal now means that one country, Israel, gets 50% of all U.S. taxpayer funded military ‘aid’ to other countries!

Apparently the amount of free money Israel is getting is equal to what some members of the U.S. Congress want to cut from food programs for poor families in the United States!  (this $38-billion is specifically military funding and does not include the billions in ‘non-military’ funding the U.S. taxpayers are forced to give to the zionists)

Sears Kmart Shutdown, September 2016 : 2,583 stores up for lease or sale!

Sears Canada reports sales continue to crash.  For their 2nd quarter of 2016 Sears Canada lost $66-million CAD.  But that’s actually not bad when you realize the Canadian dollar lost value, and that the majority of retail operators in Canada and the U.S. suffered huge sales declines in the 2nd quarter.

Sears Holdings has revealed a list of stores being considered for “opportunities”.  The list of 2583 properties available (which includes vacant properties, but mainly currently operating stores) can be found at the Sears Holdings Real Estate web site.    Spokesman Howard Riefs swears that the list of store opportunities “…is not an indication that there are plans to close the store itself.”  

The taxpayers of Wausha, Wisconsin, are about to be raped for $700-thousand USD as the city’s Finance Committee voted four to one to buy the vacant Sears building at the Wausau Center Mall!  It should be pointed out that the taxpayers of Wausha already own the land the Sears building sits on!  What are the city’s big plans for the vacant Sears building? To sell it off to another sucker, of course.

Here’s the updated list of U.S. Sears-Kmart store closings that I’ve been compiling since the end of 2011, new revelations in BOLD:

Alabama: 27 Kmart & Sears properties made the new Sears Holdings Real Estate for sale or lease list!  After 16 years the Troy Sears Hometown Store suddenly shutdown, the contracted owners said they couldn’t find anybody willing to take over the contract. Oxford Sears (local news reports said the Oxford Sears opened in 1985 with 225 employees!), Birmingham Kmart on Chalkville Mountain, Decatur Kmart on Beltline Road, Homewood Kmart, Mobile Kmart on Z Schillingers Road. The Montgomery Sears store and Auto Center in the Eastdale Mall shutting down, 56 jobs lost in June 2016. City leaders of Anniston have agreed to fork over $3-million precious local tax dollars to fund the re-development of an abandoned Kmart. Prattville Kmart will shutdown in April 2016, 70 jobs lost. Florence Kmart in March, 64 jobs lost in 2016. A local news report said the employees knew nothing about it and were shocked to hear it from the news media! Dothan Kmart (south side of Ross Clark Circle) shutting down in March, 56 jobs lost in 2016. Gadsden Kmart (50 jobs lost), Mobile Sears (at least 40 jobs lost), Auburn Kmart (at least 40 jobs lost), Anniston Kmart (no word yet on how many jobs lost), Birmingham Eastwood Kmart (70 jobs lost), Decatur Mall Sears (91 jobs lost), Fort Payne Kmart, Northport Kmart (68 jobs lost), Dothan Sears (68 jobs lost), Huntsville Kmart (73 jobs lost), Sears Store and Auto Center at the Bel Air Mall in Mobile (more than 100 jobs lost).

Alaska: The Anchorage Sears Store & Auto Center, the Wasilla Sears Store, the Fairbanks Sears Store & Auto Center made the new Sears Holdings Real Estate for sale or lease list.  

Arkansas: 17 Kmart & Sears properties made the new Sears Holdings Real Estate for sale or lease list.  Sears store and Auto Center in Pine Bluff shutting down in August 2016. Little Rock Sears shutdown in July 2016.

Arizona: 42 Sears & Kmart properties made the new Sears Holdings Real Estate for sale or lease list!  Nogales Kmart shutdown by July 2016, despite the fact that it’s a profit making store (many of its cash paying customers cross the border from Mexico). The Prescott Valley Kmart shutdown April 2016. No word on how many jobs lost, but one employee was quoted by local news as saying “Walmart won.” Reports that the Glendale Kmart will shutdown, no word on job losses. Scottsdale Sears/Great Indoors, Chandler Sears/Great Indoors. Recently revealed Arrowhead Towne Center Sears sold-off then rented back! Chandler Fashion Center Sears sold-off then rented back!

California: 233 Kmart & Sears properties made the new Sears Holdings Real Estate for sale or lease list!!!  Sears Holdings shutdown a Los Angeles Kmart, 132 jobs lost in May 2016! Dinuba Kmart 68 jobs lost, Lodi Kmart, Tulare Kmart, Wasco Kmart. Sears Holdings created Seritage Growth Properties is renting out half of three Sears stores; one in Roseville, one in Citrus Heights and one in Sacramento. Supposedly Sears will continue its operations in the other half of the buildings. On 10 March the Garden Center roof of the Santa Rosa Kmart collapsed during a rain storm. Fire inspectors said the roof was already compromised due to dry rot before the rain storm, a local news reporter said managers knew about the condition of the roof because it was sagging, and they called in contractors. The contractors tried to prop up the roof before the rain storm hit. Anaheim Kmart shutdown, 107 jobs lost in 2016! The Chula Vista Kmart, San Mateo Sears and Citrus Heights Kmart shutdown between March and April 2016, a total of 3-hundred jobs lost! El Monte Sears (at least 40 jobs lost. Damien Arrula, El Monte’s economic development director, said the store manager had lied about what was going on: “The general manager of the store had just indicated to me that they were remodeling.”

Two San Diego Sears (more than 80 jobs lost), Pleasant Hill Kmart (more than 50 jobs lost), Torrance Kmart, Fairfield Kmart (63 jobs lost), Lampert owned OSH taken over by Lowe’s home improvement in bankruptcy court, at least 17 of 99 stores to be closed down (935 jobs lost!), Rancho Cordova Kmart (97 jobs lost), San Clemente Kmart/Sears/Kmart on Camino de Estrella (58 jobs lost), placed on an official hit list in 2011 the Oceanside Kmart on College Boulevard finally being shut down, Banning Kmart (91 jobs lost) recently revealed that Sears Holdings is still paying rent on the abandoned property, Laguna Hills Mall Sears, San Diego Mid-City Kmart (73 jobs lost), Hemet Kmart (77 jobs lost), Oakland Sears repair center (75 jobs lost), San Mateo Kmart (82 jobs lost to an apartment building connected to public transportation), Hesperia Kmart building sold at a loss to a vulture capitalist REIT, no word on if the Kmart will be shutdown. Customers complain that the Kmart employees have a bad attitude, gee I wonder why? Yuba City Kmart (63 jobs lost), Rocklin Kmart (at least 63 jobs lost, the store had just posted “Now Hiring” signs), San Leandro Kmart (102 jobs lost), San Jose Mercury News says the El Centro Kmart to shutdown in January, the website Foursquare says the Covina Kmart is now shutdown (other sources say it will shutdown in December), Cupertino Sears and Auto Center (98 jobs lost), somebody posted on yelp* that the Diamond Bar Kmart was shutting down in December (confirmed by Armijo Newspapers), Westfield Topanga Sears (122 jobs lost), it looks like the Blythe Kmart is being slowly shutdown despite denial by Sears Holdings. San Mateo Kmart being demolished to make room for 599 unit apartment complex, as part of the the Hayward Park Caltrain Station project. Atwater Kmart (74 jobs lost), Los Banos Kmart (67 jobs lost).

Colorado: 40 Kmart & Sears properties made the new Sears Holdings Real Estate for sale or lease list!  Broomfield Kmart (at least 40 jobs lost), Glenwood Springs Kmart (at least 40 jobs lost), Lone Tree Sears/Great Indoors, Longmont Sears (at least 40 jobs lost), Pueblos’ South Side Kmart (52 jobs lost), Denver Kmart (number of jobs lost have not been made public at this time, but could be at least 40), Colorado Springs Kmart at Powers and Palmer Park boulevards (57 jobs lost), Fort Collins Sears (67 jobs lost), Denver-Cherry Creek North Sears store & Auto Center (66 jobs lost).

Connecticut: Local news media pointed out that every remaining Sears and Kmart store in the state is on the new Sears Holdings Real Estate “opportunities” list! Putnam Kmart. Waterbury Big Kmart, Torrington Kmart (73 jobs lost), Enfield Sears Optical (no word on jobs lost), Wallingford Sears Appliance & Hardware (employees say the shutdown was a surprise, I guess they don’t read Blind Bat News), Wallingford Sears Appliance & Hardware (at least 13 jobs lost).

Delaware: Seven Sears & Kmart properties made the new Sears Holdings Real Estate for sale or lease list.  Dover Kmart (at least 72 jobs lost, some reports said 100), Seaford Sears (30 jobs lost), Claymont Kmart (87 jobs lost).

Florida: 173 Kmart & Sears properties made the new Sears Holdings Real Estate for sale or lease list!!   In Orlando, the 50 years old Fashion Square Mall Sears & Auto Center shutting down, 101 jobs lost by mid-November! Inverness Sears Hometown suddenly shutdown due to disagreements with the landlord. Jacksonville Sears. Mandarin (Jacksonville) Kmart, Neptune Beach Kmart and Perry Kmart shutting down between July-September. The Lutz Kmart shutdown March 2016, 62 jobs lost. The 46 years old Daytona Beach Kmart, on International Speedway Boulevard, is shutdown mid-March 2016, 86 jobs lost. Fort Myers Kmart (67 jobs lost). Dicks Sportings Goods subleasing space in an existing Sears store in Palm Beach Gardens.

Georgia: 63 Sears & Kmart properties made the new Sears Holdings Real Estate for sale or lease list! The 23 years old Rome Kmart shutdown in August 2016, 1-hundred jobs lost! Administrators say employees can apply at other Sears Holdings stores, but local news reports say the Rome Kmart is the last Sears Holdings store in the area! The 37 years old Carrollton Kmart shutdown April 2016. Dublin Kmart shutdown in April 2016, 71 jobs lost. Milledgeville Kmart shutdown in April 2016, 60+ jobs lost. Mount Berry Square Mall (Rome) Sears and Auto Center shutting down in March 2016, 86 jobs lost. The real reason the college is trying to dump the vacant Kmart is that the property tax is about $92-thousand per year, indicating the ‘donation’ was actually a screw-job (lets not forget that local news media pointed out that city officials spent $15-million tax dollars attracting Walmart to town, but spent zilch on trying to keep Kmart from leaving!). The Kmart Super Center in Bradley shutdown, 125 jobs lost! Sears Holdings sold the building to Meijer, unconfirmed reports say the Bradley Kmart Super Center (which has a full grocery op) was actually making money. Local news reports said the ignorant employees actually thought the shutdown notice was a joke! I guess they don’t read Blind Bat News. 79 jobs lost as the Fall River Kmart shutdown in May 2016. North Reading Sears Hardware store closed, lease not renewed, Milford Kmart (80 jobs lost), Kingston Kmart (73 jobs lost). Braintree Kmart on Grossman Drive shutdown. Also, the Braintree South Shore Plaza Sears store is renting out an entire floor to Ireland based Primark. Even with the lease to Primark there is still 4-thousand square feet of vacant space in the Sears store. The Sears at the Auburn Mall shutdown on Black Friday due to electrical fire. The store was experiencing electrical problems, an investigation is underway.

Michigan: 113 Sears and Kmart properties made the new Sears Holdings Real Estate for sale or lease list!! The Holland Sears Appliance & Hardware shutdown, the manager of the francise store refused to say why. Plymouth Township Super Kmart shutting down by November 2017 (that’s when the lease expires). According to Plymouth’s Planning Commission, Sears Holdings is selling the property to a developer. Albuquerque’s Coronado Center Sears suddenly shutdown their Auto Center, and will reduce the size of the main store by 50% within two months. Sears goon Howard Riefs stated “We will rightsize the labor…”, but gave no numbers. The ‘rightsizing’ of the Coronado Center store is in partnership with one of my evil former employers, mall owner GGP. New York: The second level of the Staten Island Sears shutting down right before the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday, 44 jobs killed, it’s been leased to Ireland’s clothier Primark. 104 Sears & Kmart properties made the new Sears Holdings Real Estate for sale or lease list!! The 50 years old Sears Auto Center in the Colonie Center Mall shutdown by Sears Holdings subsidiary Seritage Growth Properties, so the space could be rented out to Avis-Budget Car Rental Group. In Brooklyn, the Kings Plaza Sears shutting down, 210 jobs gone by mid-September 2016! Eddie Lampert is renting the space to a couple of European clothing retailers. Sears Holdings issued a shutdown WARN for its Plattsburgh Sears store and Auto Center, 56 jobs lost by the end of July 2016. Syria’s General Command of the Armed Forces claims they shot down an Israeli plane as it was supporting Islamic extremists with airstrikes against Syrian forces.

It happened at 01:00 hour (1:00 am) in southern Quneitra Province.  Syrian forces also say the shot down an Israeli drone west of Sa’sa’.  Israel has repeatedly atacked Syrian forces in southwest Syria, in support of Islamic extremist groups.

Israeli Defense Forces stated that one of its planes were shot at, but the two Syrian missiles missed.

Incomplete list of announced United States food supply shutdowns for the month of August, 2016: Many food suppliers/distributors are consolidating operations and killing jobs due to the collapsing grocery store and restaurant industries, as well as rising costs of food production, spread of disease and extreme weather.

The now Belgium owned beer maker Anheuser-Busch announced it will kill-off 5-thousand5-hundred jobs over the next three years! Many of those jobs are in the United States!  The new owner (AB InBev) of the maker of Budweiser, Corona and other brands is consolidating global sales and logistics operations.

Alabama: In Trussville, after “The Lord blessed us with 16 wonderful years” their god now powerless to stop the “christian family” owned Cafe on Main from shutting down.  In Huntsville, Emma’s Tea Room shutdown after 11 years. The owner says a property developer made her an offer she couldn’t refuse.

Arizona: In Phoenix, The Grind burger joint shutdown.  In Scottsdale, ShinBay sushi joint, French cuisine The Upton and the two years old Vivo Ristorante shutdown.

California:  In Rancho Mirage, after four years Johnny Rockets Original Hamburger shutdown without explanation, 13 jobs lost. Herbivore The Earthly Grill shutdown its Berkely and San Francisco locations. Restaurant administrators have been shutting down Herbivore restaurants since 2015, without explanation, and unnamed employees told local news media they were not allowed to talk about it.  In Los Angeles, after three years Pingtung Eat-In Market shutdown despite reports that the area is in desperate need of a Chinese style restaurant.  Tout Sweet Patisserie shutting down their two years old Palo Alto location so they can “refocus our efforts on wholesale, corporate and e-commerce sales”.  In Clovis, ten years old Thai Fusion Bar & Grill shutdown without explanation.  Morton Salt shutting down their Newark operations, 70 jobs gone by December.  In Sacramento, on Watt Avenue Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlour suddenly shutdown blaming crashing sales and skyrocketing rent. JBS USA Food Company shutdown their Sante Fe Springs factory, 362 jobs gone! In Strathmore, Golden Valley Citrus issued a WARN, 145 jobs lost by the end of September! ConAgra will shutdown their Oakland ops by the end of September.  Chili’s shutting down their Foothill’s Ranch restaurant by the end of September, 50 jobs lost.  A pissed off labor analyst went on a rant about grocery coporations reporting huge profits yet paying their employees so little they qualify for California’s social services: “The Albertsons chain earned over $400 billion in profits last year alone while the average employee netted around $300 a week with the concomitant effect that workers not only have to work more than one job but must also rely on taxpayer funding to make ends meet.” 

Colorado: Denver based Chipotle Mexican Grill is in trouble again, yet another employee lawsuit says Chipotle is treating them like slaves.  This time 10-thousand employees say most Chipotle restaurants use a time clock system that automatically clocks them out at 00:30 (12:30 am) even though shutdown ops take longer than that to complete (I’ve worked restaurant closing jobs and they are correct).  The lawsuit says store managers promise to manually adjust their work time, but never do (I’ve experienced that as well, at other restaurants), and that the unwritten policy of making employees work off-the-clock goes back to 2012.   Near La Salle, the Fritzler Corn Maze pumpkin and onion fields were flattened by hail: “Your stomach turns upside down but you’re so helpless… there’s just absolutely nothing you can do. The pumpkins were just getting ready to start.  ….this storm, it did not move it just stayed stationary.”-Glen Fritzler

Florida: News media report that Ruby Tuesday suddenly shutdown their Orange Park restaurant, apparently days before the corporate announcment of nationwide restaurant shutdowns. France based food service company Sodexo continues its destruction of U.S. jobs, this time 79 people in Saint Leo to become jobless by the end of September.  In Tallahassee, 25 years old Old Time Cafe shutdown due to the property being sold out from under them.

Georgia: In Covington, after 68 years Henderson’s Restaurant shutdown by state road construction that will create new turning lanes where the restaurant’s parking lot is: “It’s upsetting because we don’t feel like they have tried to work with us as far helping us with parking…”-Cassandra Henderson

Local news reports say there was no warning for employees, Ruby Tuesday administrators blame the francisee.  In Rockford, after 40 years Altamore Ristorante shutting down in September.  Another fine example of what I call Ripple Effect Layoffs; after six years farm equipment supplier German-Bliss Equipment suddenly shutdown, blaming mass layoffs by Caterpillar and crashing commodity prices for local crops.  In Decatur, Just Wingin’ It suddenly shutdown after only six months!  The owner blamed high taxes and bad comments on social media.  Sandwich shop Jerry’s shutting down one of three Chicago locations, due to rents that’re being jacked up.  Administrators are looking for a cheaper location: “…selling things on Division Street can be tough. Iowa:  After 23 years the Brown Bottle restaurant in North Liberty shutdown, the stressed out owners blame their 70 hours work weeks and increasing competition.

Kentucky: In Paris, after 37 years Ken’s Fresh Foods shutting down on 11 September, due to lack of customers.  The owners hope the 56 employees can transfer to other locations.

Maryland: Frederick based Family Meal Restaurants shutting down at least four restaurants in Maryland and Virginia, but at the same time claim they have plans to open new locations.  In Baltimore, after more than five years Hamilton Bakery shutdown because the owner wants to spend more time with his grandchildren.  After four years spice seller McCormick shutdown their only retail store called World of Flavors.  In Bel Air, after 24 years Scottos Cafe shutdown due to the greedy landlord jacking up the rent.  The Winery at Elk Manor shutdown due to the owner pleading guilty to tax fraud, pissing off a lot of wedding planners: “He promised me the world: My wedding would be fine, he had no intention of closing the venue. It’s just so wrong on so many levels what he has done to us.”-Prassinas, bride to be

Massachusetts: After 20 years restaurant LaStoria Trattoria shutdown “due to declining sales”.  After 88 years Rubin’s Kosher Restaurant and Delicatessen shutdown, the owner said he wanted more time with his family. In Chicopee, after 28 years in the same location Quicky’s Restaurant shutdown due to greedy landlords and their jacked up rents.  Hearth ‘n Kettle shutting down their nearly 30 years old Orleans location in September.  Administrators say the greedy landlord went and leased the property to a pharmacy.

Michigan: In Troy, Minissale’s Wine Cellar Cafe shutdown after 38 years due to the owners expanding their wholesale food operations.

Minnesota: In Duluth, The Rustic Olive cooking oils and vinegar shop shutdown after four years because the owners are “pursuing other opportunities”.

Missouri: News media report Ruby Tuesday suddenly shutdown at least three restaurants in Nixa, Springfield and Republic.  In Saint Joseph, the Cash Saver-Apple Market grocery store shutdown due to lack of sales.  The owners claim all employees are being transfered to other Apple Market stores.

Montana: In Bozeman, after 31 years the Baskin Robbins ice cream shop shutdown, so the owner can retire.   The USDA reports that hail damage claims are above the 20 years average.  Not normal for this time of year, hail storms hit farmers just four days before harvest, destroying their crops. State regulators say hail damage insurance claims are at least double from ‘normal’ years.   In Broadwater County a 32 hectare (80 acre) barely field was destroyed, the farmer does not have hail damage insurance: “There’s virtually nothing left here….this was a very good crop.”-Gord Pierce, Bruce Seed Farm manager

New Jersey:  Movie actor owned Hard Rock Cafe issued a shutdown WARN for their Atlantic City location, 105 jobs gone by October due to the crashing casino industry! IL Mulino restaurant eliminating 60 jobs at their Atlantic City location, by mid-October. DiPietro Foods shutting down their 40+ years old Maplewood store in September, apparently due to jacked up rent because the owners swear they’ll re-open when they find a new location.

New York: Elmhurst Dairy shutting down their Jamacia operations, 273 jobs gone by Thanksgiving!  In Manlius, 14 years old Kimberly’s Ice Cream Factory shutdown.  The owner gave-up trying to sell the ice cream shop and had to get a full-time job working for somebody else.   Culinary Concepts-Spice Market issued a shutdown WARN, 221 NYC jobs gone between September and Xmas!  Drink maker Bevolution Group shutting down their Huntington Station ops, 48 jobs lost between November and Xmas.  In Brooklyn NYC, after 83 years of beer Greenpoint’s Palace Cafe shutting down in September, local news sources say no explanation has been given.  In Catskill, after 49 years Bottle Shop Fine Wines & Spirits shutdown and up-for-sale: “There’s just not enough business…”-Gabriella Varga, owner

North Carolina:   Another round of layoffs as beer maker Miller-Coors shuts down a brewery. This round 90 people were let go, by September all 350 employees will be unemployed!  The Miller-Coors brewery is co-owned by the British empire’s SABMiller (in United Kingdom, SABMiller is about to be sold to Belgium’s AB InBev) and the joint British empire-U.S.  Molson-Coors (Molson=Canada, Coors=U.S.).  In Charlotte, Maverick Rock Taco shutdown, unnamed employees said a pizza joint is taking its place.  Also, the Bi-Lo (formerly Piggly Wiggly) grocery store on Meeting Street shutting down in October, news reports say no reason was made public. Two Lowes Foods grocery stores and one Just$ave gorcery store shutting down by mid-September. Administrators with Lowes Foods (which ownes Just$ave) said it was necessary “for future growth.”

Ohio: In Akron, the Kenmore Freeze shutdown after 57 years, the longtime owners want to retire.  Craft beer maker Winking Lizard Tavern shutdown their 18 years old Coventry location because it lacks “outdoor space”.

Oregon:  After reporting big profits, Albertsons-Safeway issued a shutdown WARN for their Clackamas location, 57 jobs lost by Halloween.

Pennsylvania: In Wilkes Barre, What The Fork shutdown their restaurant and food truck operations, no reason given. Michigan based Gordon Food Service shutting down their relatively new Pottsville distribution operations, 120 jobs lost by Thanksgiving! It’s connected to the federal government (FAA) catching Gordon Food Service shipping hazardous materials (sodium hydroxide) without proper packaging and haz-mat notifications. Gordon Food Service must pay a $54-thousand USD fine as a result.  After 28 years Spaghetti Warehouse Restaurant shutdown, the owners are hoping to find a new location.  In Stroudsburg, AC’s Diner suddenly shutdown after only six months! The owner said running a restaurant takes too much time away from being with family, and doesn’t pay well.   Lancaster County health inspections showed at least 24 restaurants with some type of health code violation.  In Columbia, after 26 years Prudhomme’s Lost Cajun Kitchen shutting down in September, so the owners can retire.  Goodnoe Farm Dairy Bar shutdown their Doylestown location: “Unfortunately our lease is up and we have decided not to renew it.”

Rhode Island: In West Warwick, after 40 years West Valley Inn Banquet Facilities shutdown without warning or explanation, leaving many wedding planners pissed: “We’re frantically calling people, trying to just find something for the same day. If we don’t, we’re going to lose so much. We have our DJ booked, our photographer booked, tuxes are coming, cake’s going to be ready, RSVPs have come in. It’s come to the point, I just don’t know what to do.”-Matt Reale, husband to be

South Dakota:  About 60% of crops impacted by drought.   South Dakota State University also warning farmers to test damaged crops for nitrates before feeding it to their animals.

Tennessee: Logan’s Roadhouse now bankrupt busted, 18 restaurants shutting down!  In addition to the 11 francise restuarants shutdown in Illinois, Maryville based Ruby Tuesday shutting down another 95 restaurants across the U.S., blaming it on the loss of $27.6-million USD in its last quarter!  The Fox and Hound restaurant in Chattanooga shutdown without warning, management telling employees the company was bankrupt.  Also, World of Beer restaurant shutdown without warning, a sign on the door told employees where to get their final paychecks.

Texas: In Austin, after 53 years iconic El Azteca forced to shutdown due to the family owners selling the property.  In Houston, Aunt Bea’s restaurant  shutdown, never recovering from a fire back in January.  The Beaumont Enterprise revealed that 50% of Hardin County food businesses inspected by county health inspectors, failed! The other 50% of businesses inspected lost points on food temperatures and cleanliness.  In Longview, after 11 years Fritz’s restauarant shutdown becasue “The economy started to go bad, and a restaurant opening every week”.

Virginia:  News media report that Tennessee based Ruby Tuesday suddenly shutdown at least five restaurants, in Ashland, Hampton Roads, Bristol, Lynchburg and Roanoke.  In Richmond, Commercial Taphouse & Grill suddenly shutdown, but the owners promised they would be back with a new restaurant.

Washington DC: Restaurants Alfie’s, Chez Billy, 30 years old Primi Piatti and Döner Bistro shutdown.

Wisconsin: Mantiowoc Beverage System eliminating 84 jobs between October 2016 and January 2017, no reason given.  Sentry Foods shutting down one of two of their grocery stores in Waukesha right after the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday. Administrators claim those employees that will lose their jobs have already been notified.  In Milwaukee, grocery store Pic-n-Save shutdown, 77 jobs lost officially due to bad economic condtions, but more likely due to Pic-n-Save’s parent company, Roundy’s, being taken over by evil Kroger.  In Middleton, after 34 years Scott’s Pastry Shoppe shutdown, the 75 years old owner said she’s ready to retire.

Barack Obama is threateneing to block any lawsuits against Kingdom of Saudi Arabia over the 11 September 2001 attacks on the United States (15 of the 19 attackers came from Saudi Arabia, none from Afghanistan or Iraq or Iran or Syria or Libya or ….)!  The U.S. Congress passed a bill allowing lawsuits against Saudi Arabia, but the Obama regime has threatened to veto the bill on the grounds that the terrorist nation is “a key U.S. ally”.

After a supposed end to combat missions years ago, the Obama regime has been quietly increasing combat troop deployments to both Afghanistan and Iraq (06 September 2016: 1400 U.S. troops deploying despite the fact that homicides in Obama’s homie town of Chicago exceed the number of U.S. personnel killed in Iraq and Afghanistan), even though those countries had nothing to due with 9/11.  Fact: The alleged 9/11 attackers came from Saudi Arabia (15), United Arab Emirates (2), Egypt (1) and Lebanon (1).

Today the Illinois National Guard sent 19 personnel to Texas for deployment training for Afghanistan.  The ignorant governor blamed it on 9/11.
