This is why people in the United States refer to the rear storage area of a car as a ‘trunk’. In the early days you could buy a rack to mount your ‘steamer trunk’ (used mainly on steam-trains or ocean going steam-liners) on the back of your automobile, hence the trunk.

CORABELLE, REFUGEE FROM THE ‘BRITISH INVASION’
Corabelle is owned by Jay Goold. He has been collecting Morris Minors since 1972. Jay bought Corabelle about three years ago, and he says she is the best Morris Minor he has ever owned. He named the car after his grandmother Corabelle Woods Neustel.

PRE-HALLOWEEN POKY TOYS FOR TOTS CAR SHOW, BOO!
On 21OCT2023, a big pre-Halloween car show/USMC Reserve’s Toys-4-Tots drive/Trunk or Treat was held in the Old Town area of Pocatello, Idaho.
The show started on the 9th hour of the day, I arrived about an hour-n-half late, and was greeted by the roar of monster motors, video by me:

A group called SE Idaho Bass Heads helped raise $685 for the local Toys for Tots.
The Trunk-Treat began in the 15th hour:
By the 18th hour it was all over, and some guy named Crazy Carl thought the show was the awesome-ist yet!
