U.S. Disaster: National Guard preps for ‘Big One’ in the Wabash Valley, riots & CBRN events expected!

Are you prepared for a catastrophic earthquake in an area known as the Wabash Valley Seismic Zone (aka Wabash Valley Fault System)?  According to the Central United States Earthquake Consortium, “The Wabash Valley Seismic Zone is located in Southeastern Illinois and Southwestern Indiana and it is capable of producing M7.0 earthquakes.”

During the second week of June 2023, Air and Army National Guard units from Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio conducted earthquake response training, on the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center in Indiana.

The Kentucky Army National Guard practiced using ‘raft bridges’ to transport vehicles and people across the river, expecting that local bridges would be destroyed by the quake.

The training event was officially called Homeland Defender 2023, and also involved local emergency responders, and Verizon’s Frontline-Emergency Network operators: “This was a full-scale exercise with the purpose to integrate local, state, federal and military assets, as well as the private sector, to provide support to local authorities during a disaster response.”-Lieutenant Colonel Stephanie Railey, Indiana National Guard Joint Force Headquarters

Regarding a possible industrial chemical disaster, the area of concern has already experienced several real CBRN events this year:  The Wabash Valley is going to be the home of the largest ‘carbon capture’ operation in the U.S., involving ammonia nitrates!  Local water municipalities are already testing at high rates of PFAS in the drinking water! Don’t forget the recent evacuations caused by a recycling facility fire! And in February, the Hydrite Chemical Company spilled  “a large amount of ammonia” which damaged the local drinking water treatment filters!

Forever Wars: Using ‘woke’ V-R to prevent suicide?

For the first time, in June 2023, Nebraska Air National Guard’s 155th Air Refueling Wing used virtual reality (VR) to conduct their yearly suicide prevention training.  For the past two and a half years,  active duty U.S. Air Force (USAF) units have used the experimental technology.

Supposedly, the VR simulation helps prepare military personnel in identifying, responding to, and preventing suicidal behavior. This is part of a larger, now mandatory, ‘crisis situation’ training.

“I think if we combined the face-to-face training, the VR modules and held small group discussions afterward, it would help people open up more and create trust with those around them. In February 2021, the active duty USAF began testing VR suicide prevention on Travis Air Force Base (AFB) in California, and Scott AFB in Illinois.  It was a first for the entire Department of Defense.  Since then, it is now in use on most active duty USAF bases, however, and despite the boasting by the USAF, no data showing it works has been released. In fact, a March 2022 article out of Moody AFB, Georgia, stated that “The virtual reality isn’t recommended for those that have experienced sexual assault or suicide.” (hmm, can you experience suicide and live to tell about it?)

In December 2021, a private sector report stated the VR suicide tech was about “therapy for suicide”, but I have not read anything from the USAF saying it is a ‘therapy’, only that it is about one Airman preventing another Airman from killing themselves.

In April 2023, the U.S. Marine Corps launched operation (Exercise) Garnet Rattler, seizing the U.S. Air Force’s gunnery range known as Saylor Creek, in Southern Idaho.

The use of the word ‘garnet’ is appropriate because Idaho is officially known as The Gem State.  Exercise Garnet Rattler is about training Joint Tactical Air Controllers (JTAC): “Garnet Rattler’s main objective is to take entry level joint terminal attack controllers, forward air controllers, air officers and joint fires observers, and put them in a live-fire environment that has a lot of maneuver flexibility, as well as aviation employment, in order to train realistic scenarios for their entry level controls in the fleet.”-Master Sergeant Daniel Haack, JTAC manager for 11th Marine Regiment, 1st MARDIV

Biden’s Borderland: Yet more states send National Guard to border with Mexico!

Mexican news media report drug gangs on the U.S./Mexico border are using anti-tank weapons (they are Swedish made AT-4 non-guided anti-tank rockets, the report incorrectly calls them Javelin guided anti-tank missiles):

24 hours after the governors of South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia announced deployments of Army National Guard personnel to the Joint Task Force Lone Star operation, in Texas, several more states throw their hats in the ring.

On 01JUN2023, Arkansas, North Dakota and Ohio ordered additional militia personnel to the border with Mexico.

The Arkansas Democratic Gazette reported that Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders is deploying an additional 80 state militia personnel, beginning in July, because of “President Biden’s failure at our southern border”.

There is already 125 North Dakota militia personnel in Texas, Governor Doug Burgum is sending an additional 1-hundred, saying “The threat to national security grows every day that the Biden administration abdicates the responsibility of the federal government to secure our borders – failing to enforce existing immigration laws and failing to dedicate the resources needed to stop the tide of illegal immigration and drug trafficking that endangers lives in communities across our country. If the White House won’t address this crisis, governors will, and we commend Gov. Abbott for taking the lead in the absence of federal action. The North Dakota National Guard has already deployed two units to the southern border in the past two years, and these additional military and law enforcement resources announced today will further strengthen efforts to secure the border and keep Americans safe.”

The Statehouse News Bureau reports that Mike DeWine, Governor of Ohio, ordered a new rotation of 50 National Guard personnel, for October.  There are currently 125 Ohio state militia personnel in Texas.

On 30MAY2023, Iowa’s  Governor Kim Reynolds ordered at least 130 state militia and police personnel, to Texas, saying “The crisis we are experiencing is a direct result of a dereliction of duty by President Biden.”

On 31MAY2023, the governors of South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia ordered National Guard units to patrol the Texas/Mexico border!  There are now eight U.S. states deploying National Guard units to take part in Operation Lone Star (aka Joint Task Force Lone Star), along the border with Mexico.
