U.S. Food Crisis: Kentucky Militia deployed for Water Shortage, “Bad went to worse!”

Beginning 24JUN2022, personnel with Kentucky Army National Guard’s 2061st Multi-Role Bridge Company, as well as the 206th Engineer Battalion, 201st Engineer Battalion, and 103rd Chemical Battalion, have been working to bring potable water to the town of Marion.

Side note: Despite what dictionaries/word-smiths say is the source of the word potable, people should pronounce potable as pot-able (or pot-a-bul), as in the water is able to be used in a pot for cooking/drinking. Non-potable, of course, is water that is not able to be used in a pot for cooking/drinking.

On 22JUN2022, it was reported that administrators in Crittenden County were scrambling to solve a water shortage problem caused by attempts by City of Marion administrators to drain Lake George.

Lake George was the primary water source for Marion, but in April erosion in the lake’s levee suddenly developed into a sink-hole.  An attempt was made to drain the Lake George, to prevent total failure of the levee and a resulting massive flood of the town.  At first the standard way of draining was not making good progress, so they decided to breech the levee on purpose.

Marion officials had ordered water collection to be switched to the smaller City Lake (aka Old City Lake, which looks more like a big pond), thinking it held one month’s worth of water, and that surely would be enough, but whoopsie, turns out City Lake held only 18-days worth!  Apparently what was negatively affecting Lake George is also affecting nearby lakes: “Throughout that process, we were able to begin to put together the picture that it looked like what was causing the issue had something to do with our intake system and damage to our intake system that runs underneath the levee and into the bottom of the lake. Bad went to worse, we lost over a week’s water supply just because of new data that was developed on our secondary source, which had now become our primary source. So, in essence, you can argue that we lost not only one water supply, but quite honestly, we lost two-plus water supplies in this process.”-Adam Ledford, City of Marion

There are several options for the City of Marion; rely on other cities and other counties for water, which will greatly jack-up water costs for Marion residents.  Or, have the Governor call in the National Guard and make emergency taxpayer funded water deliveries until a long term solution proves viable.

Governor Andy Beshear declared a state of emergency and initially deployed approximately 20 Army National Guard Combat Engineers.

On 07JUL2022, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced it will attempt to connect Marion with water from the Crittenden-Livingston Water District.  Also, Webster County Water has been suppling water, and, Marion officials approved a plan to build a three miles long system to connect to the Caldwell County Water District in Princeton.  However, all these expensive water connections to other systems will supply only half of the City of Marion’s water needs. Additional efforts are being attempted.

The City of Marion is a rural city with a population of about 3-thousand.

AACUS (pronounced Ay-Kus, and not to be confused with the new British empire/Biden alliance known as AUKUS) = Autonomous Aerial Cargo Utility System

On 27FEB2014, a public demonstration was made of a new technology that supposedly would make human pilots for helicopters a thing of the past.  Over U.S. Marine Corps Base Quantico, in Virginia, a Boeing AH/MH-6 (aka MD 500) combat (yes, the MD500 is mainly a combat ‘copter, not cargo) rotary wing was supposedly flown by AACUS, a system of software and sensors, which purportedly could be applied to any existing helicopter.

“This is a Navy-Marine Corps team project. We’ve taken a landing system that can autonomously land an unmanned helicopter or aircraft into a very dangerous landing zone, potentially with the touch of a tablet. This is an expeditionary type of capability and there was no better place to test it than Quantico.”-Rear Admiral Matt Klunder

Then on 20MAR2014, over Marine Corps Base Quantico, a Kaman K-Max cargo helicopter was also flown by AACUS, mounted on the belly between the main landing gear.

According to the U.S. Navy/Marine Corps (USN/USMC), as of April 2014, AACUS had  cost taxpayers $98-million, since the Office of Naval Research (ONR) Innovative Naval Prototype program was started in 2012.

In December 2015, another AACUS demonstration was held using a Bell 206L (aka Kiowa), this time at the Flying Circus Aerodrome located in Bealeton, Virginia.

Between February 2017 and November 2017, more public demonstrations, this time with a Viet Nam era Bell UH-1H ‘Huey’, and this time they were really talking-up AACUS: “This is more than just an unmanned helicopter. AACUS is an autonomy kit that can be placed on any rotary-wing platform and provide it with an autonomous capability. Imagine a Marine Corps unit deployed in a remote location, in rough terrain, needing ammunition, water, batteries or even blood. With AACUS, an unmanned helicopter takes the supplies from the base, picks out the optimal route and best landing site closest to the warfighters, lands, and returns to base once the resupply is complete, all with the single touch of a handheld tablet.”-Walter Jones, Executive Director of ONR

However, Lieutenant General Robert Walsh, of Marine Corps Combat Development Command, admitted they still didn’t know what to do with this latest & greatest technology, saying “…it’s up to us to determine how to use it…”

It was also revealed that AACUS is a technology that is part of the Department of Defense’s Force 2025, a modernization program started in 1995 and based on hypotheticals of what future warfare my require.  Each branch of the DoD has their own term for it, the USMC calls theirs Marine Corps Force 2025, and for fiscal year 2017 they claimed that Phase II of Force 2025 was “way ahead”.

Integrated Training Exercise 3-18 (in May 2018) is considered the first time an AACUS flown rotary wing aircraft flew, and delivered cargo, during a wargame.

Not much has been reported about AACUS since 2018, but in 2021, Vertical Magazine revealed that wildfire fighting contractor Columbia Helicopters was working with Aurora Flight Systems to apply AACUS to be able to conduct aerial fire fighting at night.

On 10JAN2022, Aurora Flight Sciences revealed they were working on an upgraded AACUS which will use ‘detect & avoid’ systems to prevent midair collisions, and a ‘GPS-Denied’ system (All Source Position, Navigation, and Timing, aka ASPNT) to allow robot aircraft to fly where GPS is not available.

Aurora Flight Sciences is a subsidiary of Boeing, they are also involved with programs to integrate humans and robots, and developing anti-drone systems.

In June 2022, the Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (aka CAL FIRE) made the first, ever in the U.S., series of night time water bombings on a wildfire called the Electra Fire. The Sikorsky S70i Fire Hawk was modified by United Rotorcraft, there was no indication what type of night flying system was being used.

In September 2017, the U.S. Army conducted a robot helicopter operation using two Bell 206s (officially called RMAX UAS) to lift a 20 pound object and then fly it through an aerial obstacle course over Moffett Federal Airfield, California.  It is part of the Army’s AMRDEC Aviation Development Directorate autonomous program, ongoing since 2002.

“No one shall possess a firearm or firearms or a sword or swords.”-Japanese law, however, after a long permitting procedure a person can own a single-fire gun designed for hunting or sport-shooting (you must first own a shotgun for ten years without incident before owning a rifle)

In 1992, the U.S. Department of Justice republished an article calling Japan’s anti-gun laws “Oppressive”, and that “Japan’s strict gun-control laws are unfair and oppressive; although some people assert that Japan’s low crime rate is due to gun control, it is actually due to Japan’s culture.”

In the past few years, I’ve posted many examples of how Japan’s anti-gun and anti-knife laws are massive failures. On 08JUL2022, former Prime Minister Abe Shinzo (in Japan the family name comes first, then the ‘given’ name) was shot twice in the neck during a Liberal Democratic Party political campaign event, he died about four hours later in the Nara Medical University.

Japan’s official government sponsored television broadcaster NHK (Nippon Hōsō Kyōkai, Japan Broadcasting Corporation), says police believe the gun was homemade.  The alleged shooter has been arrested, and has served three years with the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force.

At a press conference doctors revealed that Abe Shinzo was probably killed instantly, claims that he was shot in the neck with the bullets ending up in the heart (sniper attack from above?), admit that despite invasive surgery they could not find any bullets:

On 15JUN2022, Walmart conducted their yearly Feed ’em for Freedom food fest, on Camp Atterbury, for state National Guard personnel, and their families.  Never mind that taxpayers already pay for the meals of military personnel, Walmart probably gets a tax write-off for providing a free BBQ for them. Is this a covert way for the Department of Defense to save money, by preparing state militia to rely on private sector donations for their meals?

On 29JUN2022, U.S. Marines with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) volunteered to help operate the Unite Way’s Children Healthy Eating on Weekends (CHEW) Center, in Jacksonville.

VIRGINIA: On Fort Lee, the USDA kicked off its 13th annual Feds Feed Families (FFF) campaign.  This means that for the past 13 years federal employees are being encouraged to donate food to silly-vilians, I mean civilians who are going hungry. Isn’t that a sign the country’s economy sucks? After all, a federal job is considered the best paying entry level job now, and I remember when being a federal employee meant you got less than private sector minimum wage (because I was one)!  The FFF program will be collecting food until September 30th.  This year U.S. military officials are blaming the food crisis on The Pandemic, as well as domestic and foreign political intrigues: “The annual Feds Feed Families food drive is one of the best ways for commissaries and military families to give back to the communities which host us around the nation. Notice that the fake-news wingtip mounted Sidewinders are gloss black with gold fins.  According to 185th FW historians, the proposal to paint an F-16 gold was rejected at first, using the ridiculous excuse that painting a fighter gold would somehow render it non-combat ready!

On 24JUN2022, the USCG Cutter Steadfast (WMEC 623) returned to homeport in Astoria.  While out patrolling the Eastern Pacific for the past 55 days, the crew of Steadfast helped Mexican law enforcement, on two occasions, to interdict drug smuggling boats, resulting in the seizure of 2-thousand-747 kilograms of cocaine.

On 10JUN2022, citizens (what the USCG calls ‘good Samaritans’) reported a homemade boat (what the USCG calls a “rustic vessel”) about 7 miles south of Key West. The USCG says the illegals onboard are from Cuba, and claims they were returned on 14JUN2022.

Between 01JUN2022 and 12JUN2022, the USCG District 7 reported capturing at least 52 illegals from Cuba, who were using various forms of rustic vessels. The USCG claims they were returned on 14JUN2022.

On 12JUN2022, ‘good Samaritans’ reported an obvious illegal’s boat, 13 miles south of Marquesas Key. The USCG says the illegals  are from Cuba, and claims they were returned on 17JUN2022.

A good Samaritan reported a rustic vessel filled with people, on 17JUN2022. The USCG captured the boat about 22 miles south of Big Pine Key.  The illegals from Cuba were sent back home on 19JUN2022, along with other captured Cubans totaling 45.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland and Seattle Districts, are concerned about the 30 dams in Oregon and Washington, and the coming 9.2 magnitude megathrust earthquake known as the Cascadia Event.

During FEMA’s (Federal Emergency Management Agency) 14-16JUN2022 Cascadia Rising training days, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers inspected those 30 dams, saying “It’s the Super Bowl of disasters for emergencies, and you’ve got to have a team, you’ve got to practice, you’ve got to have some scrimmages, you’ve got to play some games, and you’ve got to go the playoffs before you get to the Super Bowl.”-Mark McKay, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-Portland District Catastrophic Disaster Response Program

After Japan’s 11MAR2011 quake and tsunami, geologists and seismologist working for the U.S. government ‘got woke’ to the fact that old stories about an even bigger event hitting the Pacific Northwest of North America might be true, and a review of historical data, and new research, showed there really is a Super Bowl of disasters waiting to strike.  The last estimated magnitude 9.0 quake and tsunami to hit the Pacific Northwest coastline was on  26JAN1700.  The geologic data shows the Cascadia Event is relatively cyclic, meaning you can somewhat expect such a disaster every so many hundreds of years, and some Earth science ‘experts’ say it is overdue.

The inspection of the dams a week ago is not the first time, Army Corps of Engineers have spent several year now prepping the dam sites they are responsible for.  One of those preparations is regular seismic studies and risk assessments of the dams. Another is to install briefcase sized battery powered satellite communications systems on at least a dozen remote dam sites. The age of electronic communications/social media has an Achilles Heel; electric power and communication links.  The megathrust quake is expected to destroy any old fashioned communication transmission lines (both buried and telephone poles), as well electrical power transmission, cell phone service will also go down.  People will need battery operated radios and/or phones that directly connect to satellites (Amateur Radio Emergency Services-Cascadia June 2022).

During this year’s Cascadia Rising event, the Corps of Engineers also realized they needed to stockpile food and water for the personnel who would be working on the remote dams after such a disaster.

The Corps of Engineers revealed another problem; all the dam reservoirs are the fullest they’ve been in the past few years, due to heavy late Spring rains. If the megathrust was to pop now, then all that extra water will exacerbate efforts to prevent rivers from flooding downstream.

FEMA’s worst case scenario is a tsunami up to 80 feet high, more than a million buildings damaged, thousands of people dead, even more injured and homeless, and that is if the epicenter was near the city of Florence, Oregon.  The epicenter could actually be anywhere along the 7-hundred mile Cascadia Subduction Zone, which stretches from Northern California to British Columbia.

More proof that United States President Joseph R. Biden Junior has still not delivered on his promise of rocket artillery, like the MLRS and HIMARS, and that artillery gun systems, like the old M109 and newer M777, cannot out distance the Russian systems. In an earlier article it was pointed out that the M777 towed guns were delivered without the equipment that will allow it to fire longer range ammo.

Only NATO Germany’s PanzerHaubite (PzH) 2000, and NATO France’s CAESAR (CAmion Equipé d’un Système d’ARtillerie), are the only artillery systems delivered to Ukraine, so far, that can outrange the Russian systems.  However, the numbers of PzH 2000 and CAESARs promised are just a piddly fraction of what Ukraine needs, and have yet to be delivered.

Some NATO countries are sending more artillery systems, but they are the old Soviet era systems, like the 2S1 and 2S3, which do not give Ukraine a tactical advantage.

Another major problem for the U.S./NATO is that many of the delivered weapon systems (like the Javelin) were captured by Russian forces and are now being used by them against Ukraine!

The Österreichs Bundesheer (Austrian Federal-army) Theresian Military Academy critiques the U.S./NATO weapon systems being sent to Ukraine, pointing out that the amount are far below what Ukraine actually needs, and Ukrainians are not being properly trained on these weapons, resulting in “no significant effect on the battlefield” for Ukraine:

Austria is not a member of NATO but does take part in NATO’s Partnership for Peace operations.

In Wellington County, Ontario, rabies baiting is being conducted. What I find interesting is that local news media is reporting that rabies baits are not harmful to humans or pets, yet the official Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry photo of the bait has a warning that says “Do Not Eat, live virus”!  That is interesting because that’s how rabies baits work, they are supposed to be eaten.

In February 2022, the U.S. Air Force (USAF) injected Air Commando personnel on Hurlburt Field, Florida, with rabies vaccine.  There was no explanation why Air Commandos were being vaccinated for rabies, other than the USAF needed their personnel to be “medically ready” for deployment.  The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (aka CDC) recommends people get vaccinated if they are at high risk of getting rabies, meaning they work with animals that are known to be infected, like raccoons, bats, etc.
