World War 3, Asian Front-Afghanistan: Ron Paul points out hypocrisy of Obama! God made the Toyota Corolla! More U.S. troops killed by their own!

“‘We cannot leave’, we were told for all those years. If we leave Afghanistan now, the Taliban will come back! Well guess what, after 12 years, trillions of dollars, more than 2,200 Americans killed, and perhaps more than 50,000 dead Afghan civilians and fighters, the Taliban is coming back anyway!”-Ron Paul, former U.S Congressman, referring to the recent revelation and then backpedaling of the Obama administration and direct peace talks with Mujahideen (Taliban)

In Paktika Province, Sarubi District, reports that Mujahideen launched a large attack on ISAF/Afghan National Army (ANA) convoys.  Ten NATO/ISAF personnel killed, five ANA personnel killed, 15 people wounded.  Four armored vehicles and two pickup trucks destroyed by rocket fire.  One Mujahid killed, three wounded.

In Ghor Province, near Chagh Charan, a battle between ANA and Mujahideen.  Two armored vehicles and one pickup truck destroyed.  Dozens of ANA killed or wounded.  Three Mujahideen killed, five wounded.

In Helmand Province, reports that three days of fighting between ISAF/ANA and Mujahideen came to an end.  13 armored vehicles and pickup trucks destroyed.  32 NATO/ISAF/ANA personnel killed, 20 wounded.  One Mujahid killed, five wounded.  Mujahideen made large scale use of explosives in the battles, which they credit for the large numbers of vehicles destroyed.

In Kunduz Province, Khanabad District, 20 Afghan National Police (ANP)  joined Mujahideen, or swore not to fight against Mujahideen.

In Kabul Province, Kabul city, hundreds of people demonstrating for property rights stopped a vehicle convoy of U.S. military personnel.  Reports say U.S. forces began shooting, which turned the land rights demonstration into an anti-U.S. protest.  Reports also say the protestors were able to burn a U.S. military fueler.   Also, Toyota is boasting that Afghans in Kabul city love their Corollas.  An ongoing joke is that Corollas were created by god in Afghanistan; ‘There have been Toyota Corollas here before it was even produced in Japan’.  One local reporter took a ten minute ride through Kabul city and counted 194 Corollas, versus only 89 other types of vehicles. “You foreigners spend your money by going dancing or bowling. The U.S. Army is now admitting that a U.S. soldier killed in Kandahar Province in 2011, was killed by faulty artillery mortar ammo!  The U.S. Army was forced to reveal the info by a Freedom of Information Act request by The News Tribune.  The Sergeant was killed when three mortar rounds failed to fire properly, and one landed on him.  He was with the 10th Mountain Division.  However, the U.S. Army investigation revealed that the unit was firing mortar rounds at a single Mujahid, whom they could not see anyway.  The investigators criticized the unit for deciding to use the mortar rounds to try and kill one Mujahid.

It has been revealed that U.S. taxpayers have been paying for new design combat boots every two or three years.  The U.S. Army says this is because they are looking for the perfect boot for fighting in Afghanistan.  Even though the U.S. is supposed to pullout after 2014, the U.S. Army has revealed the latest boot design, the Hot Weather Mountain Combat Boot.  The United States Special Operations Command says the constant spending of taxpayer money on new boot designs is because boots used during the invasion of 2001 quickly broke down on Afghan terrain.

It’s been revealed that the country of Georgia will be deploying more troops to Afghanistan.  NATO officials will attend a deployment ceremony on 26-27 June.

Paktika Province the site of numerous Mujahideen operations.  In Syed Karam District a NATO/ISAF camp was hit with mortar rounds.  In Jani Khel District a government building was attacked.  In Zurmat District one possibly two armored vehicles blown up by landmines.  Also, a Mujahid sniper claims to have shot a U.S. soldier and a ANA soldier.  In Yahiya Khel District three contracted soldiers were killed by Mujahideen.

In Laghman Province, Qarghayi District, Abdur Rahim Zai village Mujahideen claim a U.S./NATO/ISAF helicopter was shot down.  They say it crashed to the ground killing everyone on board.

ISAF reports another NATO/ISAF troop killed: “An International Security Assistance Force service member died following an improvised explosive device attack in eastern Afghanistan today.”

In Parwan Province, Shinwari District, 20 ANA personnel killed in three days of battles with Mujahideen.  A local villager said the ANA medivacs left four bodies behind.

In Maidan Wardak Province, Syed Abad District, a massive fueler convoy was ambushed by Mujahideen.  13 fuelers destroyed, 16 damaged,  28 security guards/drivers killed, dozens wounded.  One truck was captured.  Mujahideen said the ambush was conducted by several Mujahideen groups, who took turns blasting away at the convoy over a three hour period.

President Hamid Karzai is demanding an explanation from Obama about the direct talks with Mujahideen (Taliban) in Qatar.  The Afghan Foreign Minister complained that Obama’s talks with Mujahideen is leaving out a key player: “The Afghan government remains fully committed to pursue a process of peace negotiations with the armed opposition, including the Taliban, but within the confines of the conditions and the principles and the assurances that we have established.”-Janan Mosazai

The Iranian government is reporting that the amount of drugs being trafficked into Iran from U.S. controlled Afghanistan has gone up 40% since the U.S. invasion in 2001.

In Uruzgan Province, Khod Valley, an Australian Special Forces Digger was killed in a firefight with Mujahideen.  Australian Defence Forces confirmed that another Special Forces Digger was wounded, as well as a Royal Australian Air Force  airman.

In Paktika Province, local government reports say a massive U.S. airstrike killed 30 people at a border check point.  The target were Mujahideen, but Mujahideen say only four of those killed were anti-government freedom fighters.

In Khost Province, Safir District, 30 ANA personnel joined the Mujahideen.

After doing a one eighty on direct talks with Mujahideen in their new Qatar office, an official from the Obama administration arrived in Qatar for such talks anyway.  U.S. envoy James Dobbins arrived for ‘nascent dialogue’ with the group, even though three days prior the Obama administration began telling the news media that they were not seeking direct talks with Mujahideen.  Obama just keeps up his whirling dervish routine!

In Canada, the man accused of trying to blow up a passenger train said he did it to fight the colonization of Afghanistan by European/American powers: “I want that in Afghanistan they will not suffer again from colonization, NATO colonization. Those who do colonize, they know very well that they are wrong.”-Chiheb Esseghaier

More than 150 U.S. state of South Carolina Army National Guardsmen from the 1223rd Engineer Company deployed to Afghanistan.

In Kabul Province, Camp Black Horse, ISAF officials report an increasing number of Afghans signing up to learn how to diffuse bombs.  They say a few years ago there were no Afghans willing to do bomb disposal work, but now there are 369 NATO qualified Afghan bomb diffusers.

The Bank of England and the People’s Bank of China have signed a deal in which they will directly exchange their currency, avoiding the use of the U.S. dollar.

The deal maxes out at 20 billion pounds/200 billion yuan (aka RMB).  That’s currently about $30 billion USD.

Bank officials say the deal is an attempt to create financial stability (in other words, the U.S. dollar is becoming too unstable).

In Kunar Province, Ghazi Abad District, local government officials say a U.S. airstrike (drone strike?) killed three people and wounded several others.

In Helmand Province, Greshk District, reports of a major battle between Mujahideen and NATO/ISAF and Afghan National Army (ANA) troops.  Four armored vehicles destroyed, 17 people killed, dozens wounded.  The battle might have started because of home invasions launched by NATO/ISAF/ANA in the same district.  Five people were kidnapped, including an 80 years old man.

The Washington Post reports that the U.S. Department of Defense is planning on destroying $7 billion USD worth of military equipment in Afghanistan!  That includes up to 11000 MRAP (mine-resistant ambush-protected) vehicles which cost taxpayers about $1 million each!  DoD officials say destroying in place is cheaper than shipping them back to the U.S.  (more reason not to go on a nation building spree disguised as a War on Terror)

The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbaev, says Obama told him personally that the U.S. will remain “….deeply involved in developments in Afghanistan and Central Asia” after 2014.

In Parwan Province, provincial government officials say Mujahideen “…..beheaded an Afghan intelligence officer along with a member of his family, and an Afghan police officer together with his brother.”  Most Mujahideen groups have stated they’ve sworn not to behead Afghans.

In Nangarhar Province, Jalalabad city, an explosion killed one cop and one civilian, one civilian wounded.

In Herat Province, Italian NATO officials announced they will keep up to 700 Italian troops incountry after the 2014 ‘pullout’!

In Balkh Province, German NATO officials announced they will keep German troops incountry after the 2014 ‘pullout’!   Working with German NATO command are troops from Montenegro.  Officials from Montenegro said they will keep troops incountry after the 2014 ‘pullout’!

Mujahideen have announced they are willing to trade the only U.S. POW (prisoner of war, isn’t that nice he’s considered a POW, but none of the detainees at Gitmo are) for five senior level Mujahideen held as “combatants” in Gitmo.  A Mujahideen source said of the POW from Idaho that “as far as I know” he’s in good condition.  They say he’s actually being held in Pakistan by Pakistani Mujahideen.

At the UN Security Council meeting, Afghan and Pakistani officials traded heated accusations over recent cross border incidents, and just who is behind “Islamist extremists”.  If the ‘Islamic World’ is confused about Islamic extremism, then maybe accusations that the United States/United Kingdom are the real instigators behind Islamic extremism are true?

The U.S. Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) has discovered that the reason why many contractor funded projects have not been completed is because those contractors haven’t paid their subcontractors!  In at least 52 cases, contractors sub-contracted the work, then never paid the subcontractor!  SIGAR investigations revealed that some suicide bombers are subcontractors devastated by non-payment from the primary contractor: “In one example reported to SIGAR, after the prime contractor offered mediation and arbitration to solve a contract dispute, the subcontractor threatened to use a suicide bomb to blow up himself and the prime contractor’s offices. In another case, a prime contractor told SIGAR that a subcontractor threatened to blow up a compound of U.S. contractors and government agencies and another subcontractor threatened to kill the attorney for the prime contractor over nonpayment issues.”  (so what are these primary contractors doing with all that taxpayer money?)

In Logar Province, Pul-e-Alam District, local government officials say a U.S. airstrike killed at least nine people.  Afghan National Army says they captured six Mujahideen in the same district.  In Baraki Barak District, ANA claims to have killed eight Pakistani Mujahideen, and seven Afghan Mujahideen.  Mujahideen confirmed “massive U.S. airstrikes” but said they killed six U.S./NATO personnel and destroyed three armored vehicles.

In Farah Province, Balablook District, local government reports a U.S. drone strike killed five people.

In Helmand Province, Greshk District, Zambuli area police check post, a local cop killed five fellow cops, then joined the Mujahideen.  He took all weapons and ammo at the check point with him.

A war artist working with U.K. Royal Army Red Coats, was shot in his left arm and hand by a Mujahideen sniper.

U.S. Army General Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said the U.S. is not bringing troops back home from Afghanistan, but sending them to war in Syria: “I can tell you, right here and right now, that the U.S. is every bit as determined to engage in an ill-defined, ill-advised and seemingly interminable mission in Syria as we were in Afghanistan. All that’s changing is the Zip Code.”

After announcing peace talks with Mujahideen (Taliban) at their newly built office in Doha, Qatar, President Obama is spinning another one eighty!  Now he says he is not in negotiations with Mujahideen, even after the U.S. main streamer media reported he was!  This comes after the Afghan government called off post 2014 U.S. troop deployment talks (aka Bilateral Security Agreement) in protest of the talks between the U.S. and Mujahideen.

World War 3, West Asian Front-Syria: Obama orders U.S. personnel to occupy Jordan in massive troop buildup! Preps for invasion of Syria?

“The detachment will remain in Jordan, in full coordination with the government of Jordan, until the security situation becomes such that it is no longer needed.”-Barack Obama, President of United States

After months of saying U.S. Marines, and other personnel were in Jordan for war games, U.S. President Barack Obama has ordered 700 Marines (originally scheduled to leave) to remain incountry indefinitely.

Analysts claim Obama is only responding to a request for military help from the British installed Hashemite king of Jordan, Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein: “The Jordanians came dead set on pushing the Americans to create a safe zone. They didn’t get it, but they left with some reassurances and I think the troops are part of that.”-Elizabeth O’Bagy, Institute for the Study of War

Not only will U.S. Marines be left behind, but U.S. Army Patriot missiles systems and their crews, USAF F-16 fighter/bomber aircraft and personnel, and other personnel and equipment for command & control operations.  There are now more than 5000 U.S. military personnel in Jordan.

Main streamer U.S. news media reporting that only 1000 U.S. personnel are in Jordan, but U.S. military news source, Stars and Stripes, reports that at least 5000 U.S. personnel are incountry for war games called Eager Lion, along with 3000 military personnel from 19 other countries.  That exercise officially ended on 20 June 2013, which means almost all those 8000 U.S. backed personnel are still there.

Also, the U.S. Department of Defense officials revealed that at least 200 personnel and their equipment, from the U.S. Army’s 1st Armored Division will be deploying to Jordan.

Obama also intimated that it was all about going to war with Syria: “The deployment of this detachment has been directed in furtherance of U.S. national security and foreign policy interests, including the important national interests in supporting the security of Jordan and promoting regional stability….”

Back at the beginning of June, Syrian news media reported that U.S. Marines were spotted along the border with Jordan and Syria.  Syrian news media also claimed that sources in the United States told them the 26th Marine Expeditionary Force were not in Jordan for war games, as Obama spokesmen repeatedly stated.

Obama made the announcement of Jordanian occupation to the U.S. Congress as part of the War Powers Act reporting procedures.

In Israel, a child who throws a stone can spend 20 years in prison, under Israeli law!

The following excerpts are from the results of a ten year United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child investigation:

“The Committee is also concerned that the average spending per child in the Arab localities is estimated to be more than a third lower than in Jewish localities and that the State party [Israel] fails to take into account the unequal level of resources provided to the two health systems to explain the persistent disparities in relation to health indicators between the Arab and Jewish children.”

“The Committee also expresses concern that Palestinian non-governmental organizations and international human rights organizations working in the OPT [Occupied Palestinian Territories] are increasingly perceived as a threat to national security and are subject to, among others, harassment, arrest and denial of work permits.”

“The Committee also expresses concern about the adoption of numerous discriminatory laws……which affect primarily Palestinian children in all aspects of their life but also Arab Israeli, Bedouins, and Ethiopian children as well as children of migrant workers and asylum seekers…..the implementation of two separate legal systems and institutions amount to de facto segregation….”

“The Committee expresses serious concerns that hundreds of Palestinian children have been killed and thousands injured over the reporting period as a result of the State party military operations, especially in Gaza where the State party proceeded to air and naval strikes on densely populated areas with a significant presence of children….”

“The rise in the number of children from the OPT being subjected to attacks by settlers in the West Bank……in most of the cases Israeli military forces not only fail to intervene to prevent violence and to protect children, but also bring support to those committing violence. The Committee further notes with concern that, in most of the cases, perpetrators are not brought to justice and enjoy full impunity for their crimes….”

“The devastating impact on….children living in the OPT….a collective punishment imposed in clear violation of Israel’s obligations under international humanitarian law.”

“[Israeli] courts are not obliged to hear the opinions of the child…in adoption proceedings…children are not aware of being adopted.”

“The ban on the granting of Israeli citizenship to children born of an Israeli parent and a parent from the OPT, the decision of the State party to stop processing for residency applications for Palestinian children since 2000 as well as the arbitrary revocation of residency and identity of those living in East Jerusalem have resulted in thousands of unregistered Palestinian children excluded from access to health services, education and any other type of social benefits as well as in thousands of children being prevented from living with their parents…”

“Children of migrants born in the State party often do not receive an official birth certificate but a hand-written official notification without the father’s name being indicated. The Committee is also concerned about information that migrant families who are unable to cover the cost of hospitalisation might be denied birth notification, and about reported cases of migrant families who have to pay exorbitant costs for a DNA test….reported cases of families forced to sign voluntary return declarations to be able to obtain official birth certificates.”

“…the [Israeli] Adoption of Children Law which allows hiding from a child the fact that he or she has been adopted……..result in the child being labelled as a ‘bastard’ according to Jewish Halasha.”

“….reported practice of torture and ill-treatment of Palestinian children arrested, prosecuted and detained by the military and the police….”

“Routinely arrested in the middle of the night by soldiers shouting instructions at the family and taken hand-tied and blindfolded to unknown destination without having the possibility to say good bye to their parents who rarely know where their children are taken;…Systematically subject to physical and verbal violence, humiliation, painful restraints, hooding of the head and face in a sack, threatened with death, physical violence, and sexual assault against themselves or members of their family, restricted access to toilet, food and water. These crimes are perpetrated from the time of arrest, during transfer and interrogation, to obtain a confession but also on an arbitrary basis as testified by several Israeli soldiers as well as during pre-trial detention; and…Held in solitary confinement, sometimes for months.”

“….high proportion of students reporting that they have experienced physical and emotional maltreatment, and that corporal punishment continues to be inflicted on children in detention.”

“The Committee is concerned….about the privatization of social services…construction of the Wall…Land confiscation, large-scale demolition of Palestinian houses, expulsion of Palestinian and Bedouin families….constant fear of eviction and demolition….critical water shortage….due to prohibitions of access to natural resources….children living in so-called ‘unrecognized villages’….Children in the OPT increasingly suffering from chronic malnutrition….severe restrictions on access to agricultural land and the sea….by Israeli settlers and the State authorities.”

“Jewish and Arab children continue to be educated in segregated school systems…..with lower investment in the education system for Arab children which results in a severe shortage of classrooms, in substandard conditions and quality of teaching, low academic results and high school drop-out.”

“300 educational facilities have been damaged during the operation ‘Pillar of defence’….Palestinian schools were attacked by the State party military or settlers and in some cases used as military outposts or detention centres. Furthermore, children continue to be subject to harassment, threats and violence by the State party’s military and security forces as well as by settlers on their way to and from school….”

“The [Israeli] Anti-Infiltration Law enacted in January 2012 which allows for the prolonged detention of children, including child victims of exploitation, torture and trafficking…..rise in arrests since August 2011 of children of migrant workers, including children born in the State party, in extremely stressful conditions such as those conducted at night…..In 2011, 19 boys attempted suicide in the Matan detention facility of Harera and in the Givon detention facility, girls have been detained together with adults…..”

“…..continuous use of Palestinian children as human shields and informants….[Israeli] soldiers have used Palestinian children to enter potentially dangerous buildings ahead of them and to stand in front of military vehicles in order to stop the throwing of stones…..Almost all those using children as human shield and informants have remained unpunished and that the soldiers convicted for having forced at gunpoint a nine-year old child to search bags suspected of containing explosives only received a suspended sentence of three months and were demoted.”

“…..an estimated 7000 Palestinian children aged from 12 to 17 years, but sometimes as young as nine years, have been arrested, interrogated and detained….this number having increased by 73% since September 2011….Most of the Palestinian children arrested often on an arbitrary basis….236 children are currently detained for alleged security reasons, dozens of them are between the ages of 12 and 15….systematically subject to degrading treatment, and often to acts of torture, are interrogated in Hebrew, a language they do not understand, and sign confessions in Hebrew in order to be released;…Children are brought in leg chains and shackles wearing prison uniforms before military courts where confessions obtained from them under duress….transferred out of the OPT and serve their detention and sentences inside Israel in breach of Article 76 of the Fourth Geneva Convention….detained in overcrowded cells together with adults…”

Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman, Yigal Palmor, admitted to their evil by simply saying the investigation was “….simply recycling old stuff, there is no importance in that.”

“This is insane. I’ve never seen so much security!”-a 20 year veteran newspaper editor in Berlin

U.S. President Barack Obama was given a welcome worthy of the Führer, when he arrived in Berlin, Germany!

The entire city of Berlin was locked down, even the Brandenburg Gate was closed to traffic.  Reporters with Deutsche Welle said people weren’t even allowed to open their windows, even though it was a hot day and many don’t have air conditioning: “‘Whatever you do, don’t open the windows,’ warns an experienced colleague, as two small figures move about on the roof of the government building opposite. They might be window cleaners, but they’re more likely to be snipers – sure to be targeting us, according to the colleague. It’s not quite clear whether he’s serious. The windows remain closed for safety reasons.”

There’s even reports that a Secret Service agent shoved German President Joachim Gauck, when he tried to greet Obama!  Reporters complain that their cell phones have been searched multiple times, the automatron security guards say only “Sorry, we have to do it.”

At least 8000 polizie were deployed, complete with garish green painted armored vehicles, armed with remote control machine guns mounted on turrets.  All for 4000 to 6000 ‘invited’ guests to hear Obama give a hypocritical speech called Peace with Justice.

Obama even ripped off Kennedy and used the hilarious quote “Ich bin ein Berliner” (you see it actually means “I am a jelly donut” in Berlin dialect, because a Berliner is a type of jelly donut.  If you want to say you are a resident of the city then you should say “Ich bin Berliner”, drop the “ein”).

Oh, but Obama probably didn’t even realize how many Berliners he prevented from getting to work or errands, because of the massive NAZIistic security.

Berliners had to have special passes to cross certain streets, some gave up after waiting hours at check points.

Many Germans who lived in East Germany during the Cold War said it was like going back in time to Stasi control!  Markus Ferber, of the Christian Social Union political group, said Obama’s visit and the domestic spying program in the U.S. amounts to “American-style Stasi tactics.”

Who knows how much this is costing the taxpayers?  But polls still show Germans love Obama, someone get the man a toothbrush mustache and red, white & black armband!

It isn’t just that Germans love Obama, it turns out that the United States is the only thing keeping the German economy from crashing.

The United States is the largest investor into the German economy, and 50% of German foreign investments go to the United States.  U.S. companies provide at least 800000 jobs to Germans.  Germany is the third largest foreign employer in the U.S. (after Canada and United Kingdom. Hah, you thought it would be China)

Oh, but that doesn’t mean the economy is getting better.  On the same day that Noble Peace Prize winner Führer Obama arrived to give his Peace with Justice speech, Germany’s second largest Too Big to Jail bank, Commerzbank, announced it would layoff at least 5200 people over the next three years.

World War 3, Economic Front-United Police States of America: Prison number one reason men are unemployed?

The U.S. Department of Labor reports that the percentage of men with jobs had dropped to 88%, in 2012.  There are several factors, but it seems there’s a correlation with the record breaking incarceration rates of men.

By the end of 2011 more than 2.2 million U.S. citizens, overwhelmingly men, were in prison.  And of those released from prison at least half will be imprisoned again.  That’s according to the U.S. Bureau of Justice (BoJ).

On top of that almost 5 million U.S. citizens are on parole, or some other form of ‘justice’ monitoring!

The BoJ also states that incarceration rates increased by 20 times from 1920 to 2006, even though the total U.S. population grew by only 2.8 times.  This is clear evidence that there is some kind-o-conspiracy to put people in prison.  Perhaps free labor for those corporate run for profit prisons?

“Louisiana is the world’s prison capital. The state imprisons more of its people, per head, than any of its U.S. counterparts. First among Americans means first in the world. Louisiana’s incarceration rate is nearly five times Iran’s, 13 times China’s and 20 times Germany’s.  The hidden engine behind the state’s well-oiled prison machine is cold, hard cash. A majority of Louisiana inmates are housed in for-profit facilities, which must be supplied with a constant influx of human beings or a $182 million industry will go bankrupt.”–The Times-Picayune

In 2009, two county judges in Pennsylvania pled guilty to accepting bribes, in exchange for illegally imprisoning children, mostly boys, in for profit corporate prisons.  It was called the Kids for Cash scandal.

An estimated 17% of federal prisoners are forced to work for UNICOR, aka Federal Prison Industries.  They make between 23 cents to $1.15 per hour, and 50% of that income goes to court ordered payments!

According to Harvard sociology professor, Bruce Western, 1.2% of white men and 9% of black men born right after the end of the Second World War (1945) had been to prison.  But when you look at men born just after 1975 the incarceration rates jump; 3.3% of white men and 20.7% of black men had been to prison!

Human Rights Watch says 56% of imprisoned people are mentally ill!

As of 2008, the official incarceration rate in the United States is 743 out of every 100,000 citizens.

The entire eastern half of the U.S., and the West Coast states, house the most prisoners.

Yes folks, the numbers are record breaking, and have made the United States of America the top country for imprisoning its own population, which, according to the propaganda we were told during the Cold War, is proof of an oppressive authoritarian regime!

“The US (and Canadian) yields are falling behind economically and technologically equivalent agroecosystems matched for latitude, season and crop type; pesticide (both herbicide and insecticide) use is higher in the United States than in comparator W. European countries….”

A study by the University of Canterbury, in New Zealand, has revealed that the people of the United States and Canada could soon face starvation because of continued use of GMO (genetically modified organism) crops.

“The choice of GM-biotechnology packages in the US agroecosystem has been the stark contrast with W. European patterns of biotechnology use. Notwithstanding claims to the contrary…..there is no evidence that GM biotechnology is superior…..”

“Producing food is an essential activity, and the ability to produce food is a global strategic asset.”

Unnamed Afghan government officials say post 2014 security talks (aka Bilateral Security Agreement) with the United States have been halted by the Afghan government, after U.S. officials confirmed they were now in negotiations with Mujahideen/Taliban in Doha, Qatar.  Those U.S.-Mujahideen/Taliban negotiations do not include the Afghan government.

Afghan government officials question what good is the Bilateral Security Agreement, if the U.S. and Mujahideen/Taliban are going to make secret deals behind the back of the Afghan government?

In the past President Hamid Karzai repeatedly accused the U.S. of working with Mujahideen, only to have U.S. officials rebuke such accusations.

Illinois about to lose the Mount Vernon Sears.  Sears Holdings officials gave the usual bullshit reason for the closing: “As a part of the ordinary course of business, we close stores for a variety of reasons. The store closures are part of a series of actions we’re taking to reduce ongoing expenses, adjust our asset base and accelerate the transformation of our business model. These actions will better enable us to focus our investments on serving our customers and members through integrated retail – at the store, online and in the home.”

A woman who bought Halloween decorations at a Kmart store that has since closed, discovered a letter inside one of the boxes containing the decorations.  It was a plea for help from a Chinese slave laborer.  The New York Times confirmed the letter by finding the actual slave laborer.  He has since been freed, but was held in a Chinese slave labor camp for his outlawed religious beliefs.  The company that supplied Kmart with the decorations denied they were made by slave laborers.

Sears Holdings reported a loss of $279 million USD during the quarter that ended 04 May 2013.  Ironically Sears is blaming part of the drop in sales on the fact that they’ve closed so many stores: “Domestic store closures accounted for approximately $375 million of the decrease from the prior year quarter.”-Sears Holdings First Quarter 2013 report

Sears Holdings is also blaming Sears Canada for ongoing losses: “Sears Canada’s comparable store sales declined 2.6% in the quarter”

They also blame the value of the U.S. dollar: “First quarter revenues also included a decrease of $19 million due to foreign currency exchange rates.”

On 14 June 2013, it was announced that Sears Canada will start closing stores in the Great White North.  Canadian news media report that two to three major Sears stores in the Toronto area will be closed.  Sears Canada officials blame the owners of the property, saying the landlords offered to pay Sears at least two hundred million in CAD (CAnadian Dollars) to vacate the premises.  (in January Sears Canada closed two distribution centers, ending 700 jobs)

On 17 June 2013, California based Orchard Supply Hardware went bankrupt.  OSH was bought by Sears in 1996.  Sears began selling stock in OSH in 2012.  Now reports say Lowe’s (a hardware competitor) is looking to become the new owner of OSH.
