2nd U.S. Civil War: NDAA 2013 signed into law! How did your ‘elected’ official vote?

While the U.S. Congress couldn’t get its act together over spending and taxing issues, they had no problem passing a new National Defense Authorization Act for fiscal Gregorian year 2013.

Then, without much attention from the main stream U.S. media, President Obama signed NDAA 2013 into law on the evening of 02 January 2013.

From all accounts NDAA 2013 continues the same Martial Law type policies as NDAA 2012.  Here’s what Senator Lindsey Graham said about NDAA 2012:  If you’re an American citizen and you want to help…destroy your own country, here is what’s coming your way.”

Note: Some Congressmen voted for the NDAA 2013 bill when a provision was added to guarantee Constitutional rights regarding court trials.  However, that provision was removed after it was passed, and before Obama signed it.

“The decision by the NDAA conference committee, led by Senator John McCain (R-Ariz.) to strip the National Defense Authorization Act of the amendment that protects American citizens against indefinite detention now renders the entire NDAA unconstitutional…….When my Senate colleagues voted to include those protections in the 2012 NDAA through the Feinstein-Lee Amendment last month, I supported this act. But removing those protections now takes us back to square one and does as much violence to the Constitution as last year’s NDAA. When the government can arrest suspects without a warrant, hold them without trial, deny them access to counsel or admission of bail, we have shorn the Bill of Rights of its sanctity.”-Rand Paul, Senator from Kentucky

Government Evil & What Rule of Law?: United States violates their own 1961 law, regarding supplying Israel with weapons. That money could have been used to create jobs in the U.S.

The 1961 U.S. Foreign Assistance Act states: “No security assistance may be provided to any country the government of which engages in a consistent pattern of gross violation of internationally recognized human rights.”

Official inquiries and investigations into U.S. military aid to Israel, over the past few decades, have revealed that U.S. taxpayer money, and U.S. weapons have been directly used to kill Palestinians and steal their land!

A new report by US Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation has revealed that it’s gotten worse since the year 2000.

Between 2000 and 2009 “With this taxpayer money, the United States licensed, paid for and delivered more than 670,903,390 weapons, rounds of ammunition and related equipment to Israel, valued at $18.866 billion.” During that same time period “….the Israeli military killed at least 2,969 Palestinians who took no part in hostilities….Among these fatalities were at least 1,128 Palestinian children less than 18 years of age.”

“These statistics do not include an estimated 1,191 Lebanese who…..were killed by the Israeli military during its July-August 2006 war against Lebanon.”

Peace prize winning Barack Obama said this year he wants to give Israel $3.1 billion!  And I thought we were having economic problems, I guess I was wrong.

“From fiscal year 2000 to 2009, the State Department licensed – and U.S. taxpayers funded – the delivery of more than 595,000 tear gas canisters and other ‘riot control’ equipment to the Israeli military, valued at more than $20.5 million!”

It’s not just Palestinians getting hurt by the tear gas: “On March 13, 2009, 37-year-old U.S. citizen Tristan Anderson was critically injured after an Israeli soldier shot him in the head with a high-velocity tear gas canister in the West Bank village of Ni’lin while he was observing a nonviolent Palestinian protest.  The tear gas canister made a large hole in his forehead, causing brain damage and leaving him largely paralyzed.  On May 31, 2010, 21-year-old U.S. citizen Emily Henochowicz was also struck in the face by a high-velocity tear gas canister fired by an Israeli soldier during a demonstration against Israel’s attack on the Gaza Freedom Flotilla at the Qalandia checkpoint outside of Jerusalem. She lost her left eye as a result.”

Since 1985, no thanks to Ronald Reagan, the United States ended military aid “loans” to Israel, and instead simply gives the taxpayers’ money away!

“Take, for example, a typical mid-size U.S. city like Ft. Wayne, Indiana (population 254,000), whose residents are responsible for paying an estimated $40.9 million of their federal taxes to finance U.S. military aid to Israel from 2009 to 2018 under the terms of the MOU [2007 Memorandum of Understanding, a pledge of 30 billion of your tax dollars from the U.S. government to Israel]. With that same amount of money, the federal government could instead each year: Provide 497 low-income families in Fort Wayne with affordable housing vouchers; or Retrain 697 unemployed workers in Fort Wayne to enter the green jobs economy; or Teach early reading skills to 1,209 disadvantaged Fort Wayne school children; or Provide basic health care to 33,125 Fort Wayne residents without insurance.”

Now remember that Peace prize winner Barack Obama singed into law NDAA 2012.  U.S. citizens are the target of that one.

World War 3: Afghans kill 6 U.K. troops, Dozens of Afghans detained for ‘suspicion’ of being Taliban, Afghan border police killed

March 7, 2012, British Ministry of Defense officials say six of their troops were killed in Helmand Province.  The Red Coats were patrolling in their vehicle when they were hit by an explosion.

In Kandahar Province, Afghan border police were hit by a suicide bomber: “There was a motorbike bomb blast against border police in Spin Boldak. Four civilians, one of them a woman, were killed and 10 others were injured.”-local police statement

As is usual in suicide attacks against Afghans, no one is claiming responsibility. One reason could be that it is not “Taliban” insurgents who’re carrying out these attacks, because they are usually quick to claim responsibility in other attacks.

Also, Afghan government officials reported a major operation involving U.S./NATO/ISAF forces: “The Afghan National Police, Afghan army and International Coalition Forces launched 11 joint operations in Nangarhar, Kunduz, Kandahar, Helmand, Wardak, Khost, Ghazni, and Logar provinces over the past 24 hours. As a result of these operations, four armed militants were killed and 31 others were arrested.”-Interior Ministry statement

The overwhelming number of people arrested, were detained simply for being “suspected” of being a militant, or being a “facilitator” for militants (something that can now be done here in the U.S. under NDAA 2012).

World War 3: Afghan Bank blown up, Karzai frees dozens of prisoners in Kandahar

On February 29, 2012, in Takhar Province, a vehicle belonging to a bank in the city of Taloqan exploded.  At least 13 civilians were wounded.

The “Taliban” have not claimed responsibility, which is not normal as they usually claim responsibility right away, if they did it.  Officials with the city of Taloqan said a bomb was attached to the bank vehicle.

On February 28, Afghan President Hamid Karzai ordered the release of 27 prisoners in Kandahar Province.  Those released include teenagers and women.  Karzai also shortened the sentences for 143 other prisoners in Kandahar.

One reporter said Afghans are being arbitrarily arrested, in U.S. NDAA 2012 style: “Hundreds of Afghans are serving in the central jail ….without having a specific charge against them and their cases are not properly followed.”-Javid Ahmad Tanveer

The climate is so bad in Kandahar’s prisons that several prisoners escaped by digging their way out, last year.

NAZI-land & the United Police States of America: Obama signs National Defense Act, now U.S. military can be used as police forces within the U.S., you could go to prison for life just for being suspected of being a terrorist, all in the name of National Security

“If you’re an American citizen and you want to help…destroy your own country, here is what’s coming your way.”- Lindsey Graham, U.S. Senator from South Carolina

January 1, 2012, welcome to the new NAZI-land: The United Police States of America!  On December 31, President Barack Obama (the BS Peace Prize winner) quietly signed into law the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012.

“This is a giant step, this should be the biggest news going right now, literally legalizing martial law…This is big. This step where they can literally arrest American citizens and put them away without trial….is arrogant and bold and dangerous.”Ron Paul, U.S. Representative for Texas

The 2012 Defense Act gives the President of the U.S. (regardless of who is President) the authority to use active duty military forces to police the United States, in the name of fulfilling the September 18, 2001, Authorization for Use of Military Force law.  That law, signed by former President Bush Jr, was essentially a Congressional order given to the office of the President to conduct a War on Terror, after the September 11, 2001 attacks.

So, this new Defense Act not only provides the Defense Department with more than $600 billion in taxpayer dollars, but it expands the 2001 Authorization for Use of Military Force law to inside the United States.

It would “…permit the federal government to indefinitely detain American citizens on American soil, without  charge or trial, at the discretion of the President.”-Justin Amash, U.S. Representative from Michigan, one of five House Republicans who voted against the bill

It allows the government to imprison anyone that is suspected of being a terrorist, indefinitely, without being charged or tried in a court of law!  The clause in the new law is the old fail safe for control freak elitists who run this country: “National Security”.

President Obama (a graduate of Harvard Law School) claims he will not use the new law in an arbitrary way: “…I want to clarify that my Administration will not authorize the indefinite military detention without trial of American citizens. Indeed, I believe that doing so would break with our most important traditions and values as a Nation. My Administration will interpret section 1021 in a manner that ensures that any detention it authorizes complies with the Constitution, the laws of war, and all other applicable law.”

Happy New Year!
