World War 3: North Korean officer reveals they have ballistic missiles with nukes aimed at United States! Tit for tat continues, will it end in nuclear war?

07 March 2013/24 Raby’ ath-Thani 1434/17 Esfand 1391

At a rally held in Pyongyang, Korea, a military officer revealed to the crowds that they have inter-continental ballistic missiles (ICBM), armed with new smaller nuclear warheads, aimed at the United States.

This comes shortly after the government of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea said they reserve the right to make preemptive nuclear strikes against the capital cities of their enemies, like the U.S.

That followed the United Nations Security Council passing a new sanctions resolution against the East Asian country.  Also, Australia announced it would not allow Pyongyang to re-open their embassy in Canberra.

And those actions followed a threat from Pyongyang to nullify the armistice that ended the Korean War in 1953.

That threat came because of the announced military war games held by the United States and the Republic of Korea.  Those war games are being conducted now.

This year’s tit for tat can be traced back to the launch of a rocket by Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, which was followed by an underground nuclear weapons test.

Breaking news: Korea launches rocket after reports said they were canceling due to techincal problems

12 December 2012, Korea (north) launches their rocket, after Japanese and Korean (south) sources reported the day before that the rocket had been taken down due to technical problems.

The very same southern Korean sources that said the rocket was defective are now confirming that northern Korea made a successful launch.

The last time northern Korea launched a rocket it blew up.  Today’s launch was successful, the rocket past over Okinawa before splashing down in the Pacific Ocean, about 300km (186 miles) east of the Philippines.  The Japanese Self Defense Forces did not carry out their threats to shoot down the rocket.

What Economic Recovery? Yet another U.S. company invests big, but not in the U.S., in Korea

06 December 2012, for awhile now U.S. President Barack Obama has been touting his desire that U.S. corporations start investing into research right here in the United States.  Yet, a failing U.S. company has decided to spend money it supposedly doesn’t have outside the U.S.

Sears Holdings announced that they are bringing back their old Roadhandler tire brand.  You might think that’s good news, but the new Roadhandler tire is simply a Korean Hankook tire with the Roadhandler name on it.

Hankook tires have good reputation, but in these bad economic times when more and more U.S. citizens are losing their jobs, why couldn’t Sears (a company supposedly going broke) spend their big bucks investing in a quality U.S. made tire?

World War 3: Japan cancels meetings with Russia, China, Korea over disputed islands. Seeks to increase military ties with United States!

08 November 2012, Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda canceled his trip to Russia.  However, he claims it was due to scheduling problems on the Russian side.  Analysts suspect it’s actually over growing territorial disputes.

To add to that, Japan’s Foreign Minister, Koichiro Gemba, told reporters on 07 November, that the prime minister will avoid talking to Chinese and Korean officials at the upcoming Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit.  The reason was the growing disputes over islands, one of which Japan recently purchased from a independent owner, with plans for militarization of the island (such as early warning stations).

The island isn’t much to look at, it’s a rock sticking out of the ocean.

Gemba also said that now that Barack Obama has been re-elected, Japan will pressure the United States to increase military ties to help bolster Japan as it’s expected the territorial disputes will escalate.

Japan’s Ambassador to the U.S., Ichiro Fujisaki, said as much in a press conference in Washington DC, on 07 November.  He pointed out that the disputed Senkaku Islands are covered under the current U.S.-Japan security treaty.

Corporate Incompetence: Two nuclear reactors shut down due to thousands of faulty parts! Three more reactors to follow!

05 November 2012, two nuclear power reactors in Korea, south, have been shut down due to the discovery of thousands of potentially faulty parts.

Government officials (Knowledge Economy Ministry) say they discovered that at least eight parts suppliers have been lying about the reliability of those parts.  Officials suspect that at least 5,233 bad parts are being used in five nuclear reactors.

The parts include things like fuses and switches.  Officials say they are not parts directly related to the nuclear reactors and their radioactive fuel.  However, the reactor shut downs will greatly impact electric power supply in the Republic of Korea, officials say it will take several months to replace all the parts.

I did not find any reports indicating if the faulty parts might have been the cause of two emergency shut downs back in August.  Korea (south) currently has 23 nuclear reactors in operation. They hope to have 39 by the Gregorian/Western/Christian calender year 2030.

Uljin Reactor power line glitch.

Reactor 1 of the Uljin nuclear power plant, in Korea (south), was restarted on 28 August 2012.

Less than a week prior the reactor automatically shut itself down.  After investigating, the Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Company said the emergency shut down was due to a glitch in electrical lines running to the reactor.

It was the second time in August that a Korean nuclear reactor went through emergency shut down.

Korea (south) currently has 23 nuclear reactors in operation, and is building more. They hope to have 39 by the Gregorian/Western/Christian calender year 2030.

Uljin Reactor update: This is second Korean reactor to shut down in past week, inspections underway

24 August 2012, inspectors with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and Korea Institute of Nuclear Safety, are trying to figure out why an Areva (Framatome) designed nuclear reactor shut itself down, after a warning alarm sounded.

But it turns out this isn’t the first time this has happened.  On 19 August 2012, a brand new reactor, the Sinwolseong-1 (aka Reactor 1 at Shin Wolsong) shut itself down as well.

Sinwolseong-1 began operation in January 2012. Officials ruled the shut down as being caused by a failure of the input controls.

According to the IAEA, Sinwolseong-1 and Uljin-1 (aka Reactor 1 at Ulchin) are both pressurized water reactors (PWR) operated by Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Company.

Uljin-1 was designed by a French company called Framatome, now called Areva.

Doosan Heavy Industries claims Sinwolseong-1 is a reactor based on Korea’s first indigenous pressurized light water nuclear reactor design.  They have even sold the same type of reactors to China.

Economic Recovery? No food crisis in Idaho, farmers see 15% increase in exports! Thank Canada and Mexico!

“With 96% of the world’s population and 80% of the world’s wealth being outside of the United States, the international market opportunities for agricultural products are great.”-Idaho Department of Agriculture

According to the Idaho Department of Agriculture, farm exports are up 15% compared to 2011, and 2011 was a record setting year!

“Canada and Mexico are Idaho’s largest agricultural export markets, with Japan and China following closely behind.”-Idaho Department of Agriculture

South Korea has also become a top importer of Idaho ag products, seeing a 98% increase since 2011!

Dairy has become Idaho’s number one ag product, making up 35% of Idaho’s exports! Compared to other U.S. states, Idaho’s exports rank 3rd for vegetables and 4th for dairy products (2011 stats).

For the first six months of 2012, total ag exports hit $2.7 billion USD for Idaho!  State officials thank currency exchange rates, strong commodity markets, trade agreements and growing international consumer demand.

It also doesn’t hurt that Idaho’s agricultural industry produces far more than what the state’s population of 1.5 million people can eat.

Unfortunately most of the employees of the Idaho ag industry are migrants.  Idaho employment laws allows farm workers to be paid less than minimum wage.

Chock Full o’Crap Western News Media: Korea South caves to Iran’s growing Purchasing Power!

“Iran is one of the major importers of Korean products. And in the eventuality that the policy of sanctioning Iranian oil is implemented, then that nation will suffer.”-Rostam Qasemi, Iranian Oil Minister

On 02 July 2012, I posted how Korea South (a U.S. ally/puppet) was getting around oil sanctions against Iran, by using Iranian tanker ships.

On 03 July 2012, Iranian media revealed the reason Korea South went against its master’s (United States) wishes: Iran has more purchasing power than the United States!

On 26 June 2012, Korea South announced they would stop oil shipments from Iran.  Iranian diplomats quickly threatened the embargo of all products made in Korea South.  Officials in the southern half of Korea did the math and decided it was not economically sound to go along with the puppet master’s (U.S.) oil embargo against Iran.

Just how much does Korea South rely on Iran for trade?

In 2007 Korea South signed a trade agreement with Iran.  According to the Korea International Trade Association, exports to Iran have increased 32%, while imports of Iranian goods increased 63.7% (the way the data was presented wasn’t clear, the percentages could be 32% for imports and 63.7% for exports)!

“Korea’s shipments to Iran amounted to $6 billion [USD] last year.”-Korea Times

The Korean Times reported that the threat by Iran, to embargo all southern Korean products, would slam 2,900 companies!

There are at least two petroleum companies from southern Korea working in Iran, and they have backing from U.S. investors!  In fact U.S. companies are involved with at least $1.4 billion USD worth of North American investments into Iran!

Here’s the bottom line; Iran is a big spender, and they pay in cash or trade!  The United States is broke, and they pay with credit, or steal it from you with bogus War on Terror tactics.  Who’s gonna get the World’s business in the long run?

Government & Media Hypocrisy: Japan launches South Korean satellite

April 13, 2012, North Korea launched a satellite (not a ballistic missile as western media continued to report!), which ended in failure, yet didn’t fail to bring world wide condemnation, which included Japan’s mobilization of Patriot missile forces.

May 17, 2012, the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) announced they will be launching an H-2A rocket, carrying South Korean and Japanese satellites. The launch is scheduled for May 18.

The hypocrisy comes from Japan’s threats to shoot down the North Korean satellite launch back in April!  All western news media reported the North Korean satellite launch as a “missile launch”.
