The MiGs and Fury gave an awesome dogfight display over our heads (my cheap-o cam is not good enough to take pics of far away/fast moving object) . The MiG-17 had its afterburner going most of the time. In Arco, Idaho, a rancher was harassed by the owner of a KAO Campground because he was open carrying a Colt 1911 .45 pistol.
William Baker was out with his dogs walking his fields along the border with a KAO Campground. The campers at the KAO freaked out and complained to the KAO owner. The KAO owner menaced the gun owner demanding his remove his gun.
Local news media KPVI consulted with the Butte County Sheriff, who confirmed that open carry of guns is legal in the Gem State.

Food Crisis: USDA Emergency declared for Idaho cattle!

The 13+ years of drought in the U.S. Gem State of Idaho has resulted in the USDA declaring an emergency!
Cattle ranching is the number one agricultural endeavor in Idaho, not potato growing!
The U.S. Department of Agriculture is calling for emergency haying and grazing of cattle on public lands due to the ongoing drought.
There are some restrictions, but emergency haying will run through the end of August, and emergency grazing will run through September. The declaration is an attempt to help Idaho ranchers maintain their current stock.
