The 116th Cavalry Brigade Combat Team (aka Snake River Brigade, one of my military alma maters) is Idaho’s largest Army National Guard unit. The brigade is located in more than 20 Idaho communities as well as units in Montana, Nevada and Oregon.  The 2-116th Cavalry Regiment is headquartered in Caldwell with units in Emmett and Nampa, but is currently deployed to Kuwait as the 2-116 Combined Arms Battalion (2-116 CAB).

Idaho’s 2-116 CAB relieved their sibling unit, Bravo Company of the the 3-116 Cavalry, towards the end of 2022 (which had deployed at the end of 2021).  While the 116th Cavalry Brigade Combat Team is based in Idaho, the 3rd Battalion of the 116th CBCT is located in Oregon.

World War 3: Idaho invades Syria!

09 February 2023 (12:30-UTC-07 Tango 06) 20 Bahman 1401/18 Rajab 1444/19 Jia-Yin 4721/09 февраля 2023 года

My Idaho Army National Guard alma mater.

On 26JAN2023, it was revealed that the ‘revolving door’ deployment ‘loops’ of the Idaho based Snake River Brigade are all about invading Syria.

U.S. Army photo by Sergeant Julio Hernandez, 26JAN2023.

M2A2 Bradley assigned to Charlie Company-2nd Battalion-116th Cavalry Brigade Combat Team, Idaho National Guard, escorted other U.S./NATO units inside Syria, under the guise of supporting the so-called Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

U.S. Army photo by Sergeant Julio Hernandez, 26JAN2023.

It should be noted that whenever U.S. forces enter Syria they remove all identifying unit patches from their uniforms.  But what is the point of that if the U.S. Army, itself, is going to publicize the operation?

U.S. Army photo by Sergeant Julio Hernandez, 26JAN2023.

The U.S. Army claims U.S./NATO forces are inside Syria only to train SDF in how to defeat the so-called Islamic State (even though the Syrian government has been kicking ass against the extremists, with the help of Russia).

Never mind that the part of Syria the SDF operates in, and the U.S./NATO forces are based in,  just happens to be in the middle of Syria’s eastern oil/gas field operations.

U.S. Army photo by Sergeant Julio Hernandez, 26JAN2023.

The U.S. Army also admitted that in 2022, at least 108 U.S. led operations were conducted  inside Syria.  It is called  Operation Inherent Resolve.

Operation Inherent Resolve also involves other NATO members, such as Norway’s Telemark Mechanized Infantry Battalion, operating under Task Force Viking.

U.S. Transportation Command (USTransComm) revealed that on the night of 25JAN2023, more than 60 Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicles (IFV) left the shores of North Charleston, South Carolina, destination Ukraine.  They were loaded onto cargo ship Arc Integrity, operated by Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics, a company with headquarters in NATO-Norway.

“The Ukraine operations underscore the importance of having an agile mobility force, with both a strategic airlift fleet that can delivery immediately, within hours of notification, and the available sealift that can deliver a much greater volume of materiel that is essential to delivering and sustaining a decisive force…”-General Jacqueline Van Ovost, U.S. Transportation Command

This photo reveals military trucks were also being loaded onto the cargo ship. USTransComm photo by Oz Suguitan, 25JAN2023.

The Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicles are part of the Biden Administration’s $2.85-billion military aid package announced at the beginning of January 2023,  since then an additional $2.5-billion in more IFV, ammunition, missiles, and Stryker Armored Personnel Carriers (APC) has been promised.  The total U.S. taxpayer contribution to the Battle for Ukraine, since February 2022, is now at $27.1-billion!
