U.S. unemployment drops again, because 97-thousand Americans give up on finding a job!

Again the unemployment rate in the U.S. dropped, but again the real reason is that thousands of U.S. citizens who’re were being counted officially as unemployed (I’m a U.S. citizen that’s unemployed who has never been counted because I didn’t qualify under Idaho unemployment rules) quit looking for work and dropped off the official unemployment roles.   97-thousand in fact!

U.S. Job Losses & Store Closings 22 July 2014: “…it doesn’t make sense…” HUD refuses to fund apartment projects! U.S. shoe store says U.S. sales suck! Another coal mine shuts down!

Incomplete list of publicly announced layoffs & shutdowns:

Cumberland River Coal is halting coal mining in Virginia and Kentucky, 213 jobs!  Several coal mines have already killed more than 500 jobs across several eastern states this year!  It’s blamed on crashing demand.

Alaska: The University of Alaska killed 40 jobs, maybe it was the only way they could pay out the $320-thousand USD bonus to the university president!

Alabama: Birmingham based Cadence Bank is shutting down 17 offices across Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Mississippi. Bank officials say it’s because the banking industry is “evolving”.    What housing market recovery?  In Birmingham, L&N Parkside canceled their plans to build 129 apartments and 12-thousand square feet of retail space.  The project was dependent on a loan from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.  HUD refused to issue the loan!

Arizona: In Glendale, the Thunderbird School of Global Management warned of layoffs as they are forced to merge with Arizona State University, due to the bad economy.  At one time the school had 300 employees, but is down to 184.

Colorado: Niwot based Crocs shoe stores killing 183 jobs and shutting down 100 stores!  Company officials blame the crashing U.S. economy, and will now focus on sales outside the country!  In Broomfield, Safeway grocery store announced it will shutdown in August, 54 jobs lost.  Company officials said the economy sucks: “At a certain point, it doesn’t make sense to keep it open.”-Kris Staaf

Florida: Unilever killing 210 jobs by shutting down their Pinellas Park ice cream factory!  The company is consolidating operations to Tennessee and Missouri.

Georgia: The Eastside Commercial Bank has failed.  The assets are being split between the FDIC and the State Bank & Trust.

Illinois: In Deerfield, God refuses to stop the shutdown of the Stained Glass Coffeehouse, located in the Congregational Church.  Should churches be running retail operations?  “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”-1 Timothy 6:10 King James Bible

Maine: In Kennebunkport, after 30 years The Emporium gift store shutdown.  It’s blamed on health problems in the owner’s family.

Michigan:  The Grand Rapids Public Schools announced they must kill 90 jobs to the fact that 400 students disappeared!

Missouri: In Kirkwood, after 77 years Phillips Furniture shutdown.  The family that founded the store sold out to Ashley Furniture in December 2013.

New Mexico: In Albuquerque, after 11 years the Thai Crystal-Thai Saweiy restaurant shutdown.

New York: The Kaye Scholer law firm calls it quits in the Big Apple and is moving to Florida, at least 29 of the 48 employees affected.  In Buffalo, after only two months the owners of Chef’s Garage Pizza announced they’re shutting down.  The owner basically said there are too many pizza restaurants.

North Carolina: In Raleigh, after 102 years ( and surviving the Great Depression & numerous recessions) the Cameron Park Inn shutdown.

Ohio: What housing market recovery?  In the Toledo area, RealtyTrac reports that foreclosure rates jumped 100% from June 2013 to June 2014!  But wait there’s more.  From May 2013 to May 2014 the foreclosure rate in the Toledo area jumped 149%!

Oklahoma: In Tulsa, World Quality Holdings-World Foods announced they will shutdown their frozen foods op in September, 70 jobs lost.  Company officials blame global competition, however, it could be more about their upcoming sale to a Japanese company.

Pennsylvania:  Four Arby’s restaurants were shutdown, without warning!   The owner was under pressure to find debt financing to continue operations.  Apparently the economy in Pennsylvania can’t support Arby’s.

The U.S. Department of Labor (DoL) doesn’t count the hundreds of layoffs involving less than 50 people each, in its mass layoff reports. It also doesn’t count all the little ‘mom & pop’ businesses that shutdown. It doesn’t count people who get a severance for being laid off.

Sears & Kmart closing update 03 October 2014: Taxpayers asked to pay for tearing down operational Sears store! Lampert halves asking price for Sears Canada, or is this just some kinda shell game?

A desperate Eddie Lampert has cut in half his asking price for Sears Canada, now only $380-million.  He failed at auctioning off the 51% his Sears Holdings controls, he was hoping to get $750-million!  But wait, this is getting confusing.  What’s really going on is that Sears Canada is being listed on NASDAQ towards the end of October.  As such stockholders in Sears Holdings will be able to buy Sears Canada stock at a set price (option), and apparently Eddie Lampert’s ESL Partners has put in to buy $168-million of it.

74 more jobs lost as a New Jersey Kmart shuts down in time for Xmas!

It’s been revealed, during a promotional hearing, that another Chicago Sears is being shutdown.  This time property developers revealed it is being torn down and re-built as a new Sears with an attached Mariano’s grocery store.  But wait, local news reports say the developers have yet to submit their construction plans to the city.  Developers also said that once the old Sears is torn down it would be about 17 months before construction on the new building could start, that is if their plans are approved by the city, and the Too Big to Jail banks approve the financing.  Oh, apparently the developers are hoping the city will cut them some tax breaks to pay for demolishing the old Sears.   No word on how many employees would be laid off.

Alabama: Gadsden Kmart (50 jobs lost), Mobile Sears (at least 40 jobs lost), Auburn Kmart (at least 40 jobs lost), Anniston Kmart (no word yet on how many jobs lost), Birmingham Eastwood Kmart (70 jobs lost), Decatur Mall Sears (91 jobs lost), Fort Payne Kmart, Northport Kmart (68 jobs lost), Dothan Sears (68 jobs lost).

Delaware: Dover Kmart (at least 72 jobs lost, some reports said 100), Seaford Sears (30 jobs lost).

California: El Monte Sears (at least 40 jobs lost. World War 3 Afghanistan, 27 – 30 September 2014: ISAF joins Mujahideen & denies reports of ‘Islamic State’ battles! As New York bombs Afghanistan, Cuomo warns of massive Martial Law coming for United States! Canada wants war with Pakistan!

Ghazni Province: Battles continue across the province, government officials say at least 800 Mujahideen are on an offensive. In Ajristan District, the Afghan National Army reports they’ve stopped a major assault by Mujahideen, also, government officials claim civilians hanged four Mujahideen. Apparently this is in retaliation for the Islamic State style execution of 100 civilians days ago.  Mujahideen continue to say the government is behind the False Flag ‘Islamic State’ style murder of the civilians: “We categorically reject such enemy propaganda. Such claims are far from the reality as Mujahideen are busy engaged in clashes and don’t have extra time on their hands to behead Arbakis when a bullet is a much easier, faster and in accordance to the guidance of the leadership.”

It has been revealed that one of the ‘civilians’ killed was a British empire Australian citizen.  The 56 years old man arrived from Afghanistan to Australia in 2000, about a year before 9-11.  He’s originally from Helmand Province.  There was no explanation why he was in Ghazni Province.  But wait, this whole ‘Islamic State’ style offensive in Ghazni Province is now being denied by U.S. led NATO controlled ISAF!  The International Security Assistance Force says they have “no operational reports” that can confirm local news reports of ‘Islamic State’ style execution of 100 civilians!

Helmand Province: In Kajaki District, reports that a combined government/NATO commando unit raided the Gandumrez bazaar.  120 stores in the market place were destroyed and 12 people killed.  The local Mosque was also blown up.  It sounds very much like something the Islamic State does, but witnesses swear it was done by government/U.S. led occupation troops.

Herat Province: Government officials revealed  that Mujahideen dug a tunnel under a prison and released at least ten prisoners.  Police claim they’ve captured at least six of the escapees.  Interestingly, Mujahideen swear they did not dig the tunnel, that the prisoners dug the tunnel themselves.

Jawzjan Province: In Qosh Tapa District, government officials confirm Mujahideen attacked a police checkpoint killing five cops, two Mujahideen killed.

Kabul Province: In Kabul City, police report that a vehicle was targeted with a magnetic bomb, the driver was wounded.  No word on who the driver was or why he was targeted.  Near the Kabul airport, a Kamikaze bomber exploded killing seven people and wounded 13.  The warmongering governor of the U.S. state of Nevada, Brian Sandoval, paid a visit to Afghanistan and in a phone interview from Kabul City stated “….it is important that the United States maintain a presence here in Afghanistan to continue to ensure security in the homeland.”  Also from Kabul City, governor Andrew Cuomo of New York was paying a visit and issued a warning for folks back home “…you have to come to grips with problems of extreme weather, climate change, new homeland security and management systems, and anti-terrorism systems. There is no other good reason to be here right now. I think it will help me do my job better and help prepare the state better.”  Cuomo also referred to the U.S. occupation of Afghanistan as a model for the “best homeland security plan ever“, and in response to questions about Martial Law in the Empire State he stated “I’m telling you we’re going to be the most prepared.”  Without any debate by the Afghan parliament, the new dual presidents of Afghanistan signed onto the Obama regime’s new occupation deal (Status of Forces Agreement), which was also signed by NATO officials: “Today we mark an historic day in the U.S.-Afghan partnership that will help advance our shared interests and the long-term security…”-Barack Obama

Kunar Province: In Watapur District, a National Directorate of Security (NDS) agent was assassinated with a remote controlled bomb.

Kunduz Province: In Kunduz City, an Afghan National Army vehicle was blown up.  No soldiers were hurt, but three civilians wounded.

Maidan Wardak Province: In Jalrez District, at least five cops killed after they drove over a landmine in their patrol vehicle.

Nangarhar Province: In Bati Kot District, villagers report that helicopter gunships attacked them, wounding two women.

Paktia Province: In Zurmat District, Mujahideen executed six men for robbery and kidnapping. A public trial was held before hand.  The local Mujahideen say this is proof they are not behind kidnappings.  Also, government officials say Mujahideen attacked a military base.  At least 16 people killed, 11 wounded.

Takhar Province: In Baharak District, a motorcycle bomb exploded killing one person and wounding seven.

23 – 26 September 2014: Islamic State rapidly becoming more powerful in Afghanistan!

In an interview with the False Flag propaganda group known as Radio Free Europe, the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration for the British empire country of Canada, Chris Alexander, accused Pakistan of being behind ongoing attacks in Afghanistan.  He refused to provide names of sources of the information or evidence.

I’ve written how New York’s 170th Airlift Wing has traded in its C-130 transports for MQ-9 attack drones.  A new report reveals the New York Air National Guard’s 174th Attack Wing at Hancock Field is using MQ-9s to bomb Afghanistan.  The report was the result of rumors that the 174th was also bombing Syria, however, Major Sandy Stoquert denies that.

U.S. Job Losses & Store Closings 20 – 21 July 2014: Thousands more to lose their jobs in California! Landlords so desperate they’re offering free rent! Is 270 years old upscale company going bust? More casinos going bust! Obamacare kills mental health!

More proof the internet is not killing brick-n-mortar stores: After only six months Qplay shutdown.  The internet TV service provider was founded by the same people who created TiVo.  Some customers said the service was “terrible”.

Arizona: What housing market recovery?  Maville Interiors now chapter 11 bankrupt busted, 200 jobs could be lost!  The company was one of the largest house painting contractors in the Grand Canyon State.  Because of the housing market implosion the company has not been able to pay suppliers or federal taxes.  In Flagstaff, legal drugs pusher Walgreens shutting down their distribution center over the next nine months, 345 jobs will be lost!  Company officials say “we now have excess capacity” and need to shutdown distribution centers.

California: In Sacramento, the Starbucks coffee house on 15th & H streets shutdown. It’s blamed on low sales.  In Rancho, Super Glue-Pacer Technology announced it will layoff 14 employees in September.  In San Diego, TGI Friday’s warned it is shutting down a restaurant in September, 56 jobs lost. In Vacaville, Switzerland based legal drugs pusher Novartis announced they are laying off 57 employees in September.  Botox maker Allergan laying off 15-hundred people in Irivine, Santa Barbara and Carslbad, by Thanksgiving time in November!  Reports say if the company is taken over by a British empire Canadian rival then 5-thousand people will become jobless!

Illinois: In Rockford, the College of Medicine shutting down their psychiatric clinic  by the end of September.  2-thousand patients affected!  Clinic officials blame never ending funding cuts, thank you Obama Care!

Kentucky: So much for Obama Care.  The Kentucky Association of Regional Programs says 33 of 50 mental health programs across the state have shutdown!  Four mental health providers have cut their operating hours in half!  Kentucky Department for Behavioral Health, Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities blames Obama Care (Affordable Care Act) for changing how mental health care is handled.  More than 1-thousand patients affected!

Massachusetts: In New Bedford, after 82 years (and surviving the Great Depression and numerous recessions) Converse Photo Supply shutdown.  Don’t blame technology, the owners had gotten into the business of recovering pics off memory cards that were thought to have been erased.  The owners said they sold the building after they were approached by a property speculator.

Michigan: In East Lansing, after 50 years Goodrich’s Shop Rite shutdown. The owners said their lease expired and the property owners wanted mo money.

Minnesota: In Minneapolis, after 15 years Office Depot shutting down in September.  It’s part of the Office Depot, OfficeMax merger.

Mississippi: After only two years Margaritaville Casino warned of bankruptcy and that it will shutdown in September, 350 jobs lost!  The attorney for the casino blames the property owners: “Everybody wants a better outcome, everybody but the landlords.”-Michael Cavanaugh

New York: Once again the Daily News killed jobs, this time 17 people let go.  This comes after the newspaper raised its price from 75 cents to $1.25.  After 270 years, British empire Sotheby’s is in trouble and warned its New York employees of layoffs.  Company officials told the U.S. SEC that they need to cut $13-million USD.  In Hauppauge, Microsoft announced they are shutting down their computer program operation in October, 32 jobs lost.

Ohio:  In Toledo, the commercial rental market is crashing.  Local news media showed many rental properties with “free rent” signs in the windows!  Landlords said the problem is that potential renters claim they can’t afford the rent.  On top of that, if they try and sell the property many buyers are being denied loans by the Too Big to Jail banks!  One property owner says this problem goes way back before the 2008 market crash: “Between 1999 and 2001 I thought this town was going to move, that something was going to happen. It didn’t happen…..This was a huge investment ….”-Dino Sarris, Macid Corporation

Pennsylvania: In Ridley, after 50 years the Wawa store shutdown.  Company officials say they’re building a new one.

The U.S. Department of Labor (DoL) doesn’t count the hundreds of layoffs involving less than 50 people each, in its mass layoff reports. It also doesn’t count all the little ‘mom & pop’ businesses that shutdown. It doesn’t count people who get a severance for being laid off.

Sears & Kmart closing update 02 October 2014: Bomb threats & more Martial Law as cops shoot Kmart looter!

In Missouri, a cop shot a suspected Kmart jewelry thief.  Here’s the thing, the cops were already hyped up about catching the thief, because they were staking out the store due to reports of previous thefts.

The cops chased the guy to his SUV, then as the suspect jumped into his SUV one of the cops jumped into the car as well.  There was a fight, the suspect drove off for about 100 meters before being shot in the leg by a cop.  The suspect was “armed with a screwdriver”.

As usual the cops say they were the ones fearing for their lives!  Did they ever think that the suspect was fear for his life?  After all the only ‘weapon’ he had was a screwdriver and he was running for his life.  The cops, armed with tazers (which they claim they tried to use) and guns, were the ones who chased him and then jumped into his SUV and grappled him.  But oh no, they were fearing for their lives because he had a scary screwdriver and was driving away from them in his SUV, so they shot him.

Ever notice that?  The police always shoot somebody who’s trying to get away from them, and then the cops claim it was because they were fearing for their own safety.  So cops get scared when you try to run away from them?

Of course the cop who was a dumb ass and jumped into the SUV as the suspect tried to drive off has some injuries to his shoulder, back and hip.  But again it wasn’t the suspect who was being aggressive, it was the cops.

Police stated they “think” the jewelry might be worth $31-thousand, but that’s over several days of robberies, which brings up another question: Why did it take so long for Kmart’s Loss Prevention people to act?  The thefts were being done during the day when the store was open for business, and they have the thefts on camera.

Wisconsin Sears Rebuild center shutting down, in time for Xmas!  Does this have anything to do with the bomb threat against a Wauwatosa Kmart?  Milwaukee County Sheriff’s deputies responded and swept the store with their dogs.

Maryland and Florida each losing a Kmart by Xmas time!

In Santa Barbara County, California, police called out helicopters as part of an intensive manhunt for two teenagers who shoplifted at the Goleta Kmart.  The teens are accused of stealing fishing gear!

In Kentucky, a woman is accused of using her eight years old daughter as a look-out while she shoplifted.  It’s reported the shoplifter became “combative” when caught and resisted arrest, until police threatened to taze her.  It was not revealed what she stole, but it was small enough to put in her purse.

The U.S. Air Force Reserve’s 107th Airlift Wing flew their C-130 transports for the last time, and now they’re trading in their seats in a cockpit in the sky for seats in a control room on the ground.

The USAFR unit is based in the state of New York, and they will soon be flying MQ-9 Reaper combat UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, aka drone).  The military also calls them RPAs (Remotely Piloted Aircraft, which actually the more accurate nomenclature).

The USAF describes the MQ-9 as “…an armed, multi-mission, medium-altitude, long-endurance remotely piloted aircraft that is employed primarily as an intelligence-collection asset and secondarily against dynamic execution targets.”

World War 3 Afghanistan, 23 – 26 September 2014: Islamic State rapidly becoming more powerful in Afghanistan! British empire Canada takes over command of U.S. airborne troops? Canadians continue to kill Afghan migrants! European taxpayers forced to shell out millions more!

Balkh Province: In Mazar-e-Sharif City, an explosion wounded at least four people.  National government officials say they don’t know what caused the explosion, but the local police chief said it was a bomb in a market place.

Faryab Province: In Maimana City, a bicycle bomb exploded, killing one person and wounding 23.

Ghazni Province: In Ajristan District, 100 civilians summarily executed by the surprise appearance of Islamic State insurgents, at least that’s what the government says.  They also say 15 people were beheaded, the victims just happen to be Afghan National Police along with their entire families.   Government officials not only reporting the sudden appearance of Islamic State False Flag (False Flag doesn’t mean it isn’t happening, it means the officially publicized reasons for it happening are intentionally false) insurgents, but that the group is rapidly growing in numerical strength.  Government officials say Islamic State has captured several districts and closed down all paved road access to those areas.  But here’s some clarification; government officials also explained that the reason they’re calling the insurgents ‘Islamic State’ is because they are made up of people from Afghanistan and Pakistan, and that the “killing of civilians” looks similar to what’s happening in Iraq and Syria (so this could be a False Flag claim by pro-Obama government officials to justify keeping U.S. troops in-country).  Oh, by the way, ten additional Afghan government personnel were also killed.

But wait, Mujahideen are saying it was actually U.S. supported government troops that committed the murders of civilians, in fact they’ve been saying that for at least a decade.

Helmand Province: In Lashkargah City, a prosecuting attorney was assassinated.  The assassins escaped.

Herat Province: In Obe District, four people assassinated by unknown gunmen.  However, police say the victims were Mujahideen, so I can guess who the gunmen are.

Kabul Province: In Kabul City, many Afghan senators announced they are opposed to the new president rushing into any new security deal with U.S. led NATO.  This comes after USAF generals assigned to NATO stated they wanted a deal to be signed “very fast”.   It looks as if the new occupation deal will not involve debate by the Afghan parliament.  U.S. taxpayers have delivered yet another C-130 transport aircraft to the Afghan Air Force.  It’s the third one, a fourth C-130 is expected at the end of 2014.

38 months after declaring that all Canuck combat troops were out of Afghanistan, it’s been revealed that there are indeed Canadian combat troops in Afghanistan. They’re all officers who’ve been recently sent to not only help NATO in Kabul, but they are actually commanding U.S. airborne troops! Canadian Brigadier General Simon Hetherington is now the deputy commander of operations in Afghanistan for the U.S. Army’s XVIII Airborne Corps!  But even the Canuck general was shocked at his duty assignment: “To be completely honest, I didn’t know I would be deploying. It certainly isn’t well known. When family and friends hear where I am, they say that they thought we had taken the [Canadian] flag down [from being flown over Afghanistan].”

But wait there’s more. British empire General Herrignton’s normal duty assignment is with the U.S. Army’s XVIII Airborne Corps at Fort Bragg, North Carolina U.S.A. He even attended the U.S. Army’s War College.

Kandahar Province:  In Maruf District, three people killed by explosion.  Police say they were Mujahideen trying to plant landmines.  In Spin Boldak District, a bicycle bomb exploded wounding six people.

Kunar Province: In Ghazi Abad District, locals report a Madrassa was attacked by helicopter gunships, at least one student killed.  Some reports say two people were killed.

Kunduz Province: Mujahideen say they’ve launched offensives against government troops.  29 people killed, 18 wounded.

Laghman Province: In Alingar District, NATO airstrike was called on a group of 15 people.  Government officials would only say that at least one of those people were killed.

Nangarhar Province: In Sherzad District, a NATO airstrike killed at least three people.  Apparently the airstrike was called in by Afghan boarder police.  In Dur Baba District, government officials report the end of a four days battle.  At least 55 people killed, four wounded.

Parwan Province: In Bagram District, two U.S. personnel were wounded when the vehicle they were in hit a landmine.

19 – 22 September 2014: U.S. terrorist DynCorp in trouble again!

Officials with the European Union announced they are going to make Europeans shell out 90.5-million euros ($114-million USD) for new rural development projects in Afghanistan.

And back in the Great White North, another Afghan migrant has been assassinated in Canada.   A 19 years old student from Afghanistan was stabbed to death while trying to break up a fight at a Toronto high school.  Police refuse to describe the killer, who turned himself in, because he is a juvenile.

Militiamen and women of the Army National Guard’s 123rd Mobile Public Affairs (Arizona U.S.A.) have deployed to Guantanamo Bay (Gitmo), Cuba.  Officially they told local news media their job was to provide “transparency” on how summarily imprisoned people are treated.

Like beer? Get ready for skyrocketing prices as Mother Earth kills off malt barley crops in three U.S. states! Corn harvest not as big as expected? Get ready for $40 bread, spuds & steaks?

Bad news for beer drinkers, it’s being reported that the malt barely crops in Idaho, Montana and North Dakota have been nearly destroyed by unusually cool and wet summer weather (what global warming?).

Anheuser-Busch and MillerCoors are dependent on those crops.  A report out of Montana said the crops sprouted too soon.  When the barely sprouts is crucial as it has to have enough sugar at harvest time to be used to make beer.   It also must be harvested before it germinates, and the abnormal rain caused most barely crops to germinate before harvest.

What this means is U.S. beer brewers must import their barely from other countries for the 2015 brewing season, which means it’s going to cost beer drinkers more money.

But it’s not just barely that’s going down in flames.  Hay, wheat and potato crops took a big hit as well, which means grocery prices are going up in 2015.

According to the University of Idaho, Idaho farmers lost at least $220-million worth of hay, barely, wheat and potato crops this year, due to excessive rain!

At the beginning of September the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) declared Twin Falls and Jerome, in Idaho, disaster areas.   This allows farmers to borrow money from the government to get them through next season, due to not having any crops to sell.   (it’s just another way to keep family farms in debt)

Last week, harvest results were being reported and it wasn’t good.  According to the USDA wheat prices are already inching up, as the spring harvest totals were below the five year average.

This is the beginning of the corn harvest and so far only 42% is mature.  The past five year average is 54% mature.   On top of that only 7% has been harvested, the five year average for the beginning of harvest is 15%.

The price of beef cows continues to go up.  And while the price of live cows goes up, the number of slaughtered cows goes down, ensuring the price you pay in the grocery store will skyrocket.  Another factor that will drive up beef prices are the failed hay crops in states like Idaho (which is a big cattle ranching state).
