“…no realistic prospects for a return to profitability…” 10-million+ unemployed! Homeland Security shuts down restaurants! : U.S. Job Losses & Closings 05 April 2016

Incomplete list of job loss announcements and shutdowns.

Hawaii: Taxpayer funded Wahiawa General Hospital is begging for emergency funding to stop it from shutting down.  Administrators revealed that since ObamaCare went into effect they’ve lost $9-million USD!

Idaho: National Basketball Association D-league team the Idaho Stampede announced they’re getting the hell-outta Boise and moving to Salt Lake City, Utah.  They’re also changing their name to Salt Lake City Stars.  It was revealed that state taxpayers were forced to pay outrageous three-fold increase in overtime pay to Idaho State Police (ISP) trainees.  ISP administrators explained, without blinking an eye, that it was mainly for trainee commute times to the academy because there was no room in the academy’s dorms in Meridian, or at the National Guard barracks on Gowen Field!  (how many civilian businesses pay their employees to commute?)

Iowa: Sears Holdings shutting down their West Des Moines call center by June, 162 jobs lost!  In Clive, DCG Foods shutting down their Cash Saver grocery store as soon as the inventory is gone.  The Cash Saver used to be a Dahls, which went bankrupt.  The shutdown is blamed on lack of sales.

Kansas:  In Olathe, popular K-Macho’s Mexican Restaurant & Cantina was suddenly shutdown by U.S. Department of Homeland Security, because restaurant owners couldn’t confirm the ‘legality’ of their employees: “K Macho restaurant in Olathe, Kansas, was recently served, via U.S. Mail, an official notice to submit all form I-9 documentation to HSI auditors for inspection.”-Shawn Neudauer, Homeland Security

Massachusetts: Insurance and investment company MassMutual laying off an additional 1-hundred employees!  Last year MassMutual eliminated 3-hundred jobs.  But here’s a paradox, administrators claim those employees losing their jobs can apply for the 230 positions that are still vacant!  What’s the point of layoffs, why can’t MassMutual just transfer the employees to open positions?  Maybe the company wouldn’t have 230 open positions if they hadn’t started mass layoffs? (they want to replace their long term employees with cheaper newbies)

Minnesota: Jos A Bank shutting down their clothing store in the Nicollet Mall by mid-May.

Montana: In Helena, after 41 years the Ben Franklin Crafts shutting down.

New Jersey:  After 42 years Marty’s Shoes shutting down their remaining six shoe stores by the end of May.  Local news reports say at one time Marty’s Shoes had 110 stores!

New York: Liddabit Sweets shutting down their there years old Chelsea Market shop by mid-April.

North Carolina: Charlotte based Too Big to Jail Bank of America asks ‘What economic recovery?’, as its own research shows there are at least 10-million U.S. citizens currently unemployed and unable to find a job!  Teachers Memorial School in Kinston shutting down by August.  Vague news reports say the county questioned the school district’s operating costs.  MillerCoors issued a shutdown WARN for its Eden brewing ops.  The first round of layoffs will begin in June, in total 349 jobs will be lost by the time the brewery shuts down!  Local news reports say at one point the brewery employed more than 5-hundred people.  MillerCoors administrators basically said the bad economy is forcing them to join the growing trend of consolidating operations.  France based aerospace company Nexans shutting down its Elm City wire factory, 113 jobs lost by the end of June!  Nexans administrators say there is not going to be an economic recovery: “This has been the result of continued sales decline combined with the steady decrease in market prices. There are, unfortunately, no realistic prospects for a return to profitability in the medium to long term.”

Ohio: After 164 years (surviving The Great deflationary Depression and numerous recessions) children’s mental health treatment chain Beech Brook forced to eliminate 179 jobs due to Medicaid funding cuts!  In McArthur, after more than 19 years Gill’s Family Pharmacy shutting down by May.  The drug seller has been praised for community service such as buying computers for county first responders.  In Englewood, Sears Holdings shutting down the Kmart, 57 jobs lost by the end of July.  In Boardman, after 34 years Cards and Collectibles shutting down, the owners are focusing on their wedding and party supply business.

Oregon: In Portland, after three years Yarntastic Fiber Arts shutting down their brick-n-mortar store by the end of the month.  They’ll continue on the internet.

Texas:  More proof you brick-n-mortar store owners can’t directly blame the internet/high-tech for your demise; San Antonio based iHeartMedia warning of bankruptcy due to ongoing lawsuit by creditors.  If they lose the lawsuit they could be required to make an immediate payment of $15-billion USD!  Exterran shutting down their oil-gas ops in Alleyton, 241 jobs lost by the end of June: “We continue to feel the impact of further deterioration of industry fundamentals and our revenues are expected to be under pressure throughout 2016 across all of our business segments…”

Washington DC: What economic recovery?  The U.S. International Trade in Goods and Services remained in deficit by $47.1-billion USD in February.    The U.S. Department of Commerce reports that U.S. factory orders fell by 1.7% in February, more than canceling out January’s piddly increase.   U.S. factory orders have crashed for 14 of the past 19 months!

Wisconsin: Toys R Us shutting down their store on North 76th Street in Milwaukee, 30 jobs gone by the end of the month.

Under the order, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) must cut its current budget by more than $30 million, 5 percent of the current 2013 appropriation, by September 30, 2013. Operation Jupiter: Global Warming not cause of fish die-off, mystery virus discovered in 2 separate locations!

06 April 2016 (03:49 UTC-07 Tango 01) 18 Farvardin 1395/27 Jumada t-Tania 1437/29 Ren-Chen 4714

“Tilapia is one of the most important fish industries worldwide. Moreover, because they eat algae, they are ecological gatekeepers for freshwater and they are an inexpensive, important source of protein in poorer countries.”-Eran Bacharach, Tel Aviv University

Mass die-off at a tilapia farm in Israel-Palestine

Researchers in the U.S., Columbia, Ecuador, Scotland and Israel have discovered the true cause of tilapia die-offs, it’s not global warming but a previously unknown RNA virus now known as TiLV (Tilapia Lake Virus).

But there’s a problem, the major locations of tilapia die-off are not physically connected, so researchers are now focusing on how TiLV showed up at about the same time in two different locations.  Israel and Ecuador are separated by 12310km (7,649 miles) if you’re traveling by air.  Ecuador’s coastline is along the Pacific Ocean.  Israel’s (Palestine’s) coastline is along the Mediterranean Sea and a tini-tiny bit that has access to the Red Sea.

TiLV causes brain swelling and liver disease.  Die-offs of tilapia have been documented since 2009.  Ecuador’s neighbor, the U.S. drug lord puppet Columbia, is also reporting tilapia die-offs.  At first researchers thought tilapia were dying from a new form of Influenza C, but while it is similar it is also totally new: “The TiLV sequence has only minimal similarity in a small region of its genome to other viruses; thus, the methods we typically use to identify and characterize viruses through sequencing alone were insufficient.”-Eran Bacharach, Tel Aviv University

“It appears to be most closely related to a family of influenza viruses called orthomyxoviruses; however, we still don’t understand much about its biology.”-Nischay Mishra, Center for Infection and Immunity

Researchers were so baffled by the new virus they turned to help from the New York Genome Center.  Tilapia farming is worth $7.5-billion USD on the global market.

Incomplete list of job loss announcements and shutdowns.

Alaska: Oil drillers Parker Drilling and CH2M Hill both announced layoffs, 113 jobs being lost!  The layoffs with Texas based Parker are what I call Ripple Effect Layoffs (REL) as it’s the result of British Petroleum cutbacks.  Administrators with Parker revealed how short sighted they are when they said “Parker Drilling did not anticipate this unfortunate turn of events…”  Colorado based CH2M also suffering REL after losing a contract to supply labor to Italy based Eni.  Administrators with CH2M stated that so far Eni has not explained the reason for the decision.

Delaware: 1-thousand 7-hundred former DuPont employees were screwed out of their final paychecks when DuPont switched payroll contractors!  Dumb-Ass DuPont administrators told local news “We are also working with impacted employees to correct any miscalculations and address any questions.”

Idaho: How many people know the origin of the charity United Way?  It was born in the Coeur d’Alene area of northern Idaho in 1957, with the name United Crusade.  But since then the economy has gotten so bad today the United Way announced it was expanding charity services in its own birthplace: “It is not our intention to have Kootenai County fundraising be spread into the five northern counties, but to grow each county to raise funds where they are, and provide much-needed resources locally. One of the greatest things about the structure of United Way is that all governance, management, fundraising, and funding decisions are made locally. So we want to ensure that happens at the county level as well.”-Mark Tucker, executive director

Kansas: In Hutchinson, after 77 years Fraese Drug Store and Soda Fountain shutting down on Thursday.  A co-owner said ObamaCare and inflation forced him to take a job with a competitor: “We just had no choice but to do this because of decreased payments from Medicaid and Medicare. Also, add into that the huge increase in the cost of generic drugs. A lot of them jumped 1,000%! That really hurt our profitability.”-Don Kaufman

New Jersey: Middleton shutting down their 911 dispatch, eliminating 15 jobs.  911 services will now be handled by Monmouth County Sheriff’s Department.  The 35 years old IHOP restaurant in Raleigh shutting down on Hillsborough Street.  It’s claimed that a new IHOP will be built a few blocks away.

New York:  God powerless to stop ‘his’ Catholic Charities of Buffalo from shutting down their social services operations within taxpayer funded public schools (hey, isn’t that a violation of the 1st Amendment, government shall not recognize a religion?), at least 65 jobs lost by the end of June.   Bankrupt Climax Manufacturing suddenly shutdown their Lowville packaging plant, 158 jobs gone!  In NYC, restaurant 790 French did not renew its lease at The Hilton Garden Inn Times Square, 64 jobs lost by the end of June.  After offshoring thousands of U.S. jobs, New York based IBM (International Business Machine) now to eliminate 14-thousand jobs outside of the U.S.!

North Carolina: Connecticut based Xerox laying off 139 people at its State Healthcare operation “due to a business decision of a single client”.  This might be what I call Ripple Effect Layoffs (REL) as many healthcare providers are drastically cutting back on spending due to ObamaCare.

Washington: In Arlington, Cascade Valley Hospital & Clinics shutting down, 418 jobs lost by the end of May!  Connecticut based Xerox issued a layoff WARN for their Kent operations, 98 jobs lost by the end of May.  Massive corruption revealed by the fact the ‘elected’ state leaders cut $10-million USD in funding for the Office of the State Auditor, the very agency in charge of tracking what’s done with your tax dollars.  Mass layoffs are expected.

Wisconsin: The Pic-n-Save in Kimberly shutting down by the end of the year, 57 jobs lost.  Administrators said sales don’t justify renewing the lease.  In Madison, after 15 years Takara restaurant shutting down supposedly because they can’t renew the lease.

California: More layoffs for the Orange County Register, at least 71 people laid off without warning by new owner Digital First Media.   In San Francisco, KGO Radio laid off as many as 30 people (almost all its newsroom staff) without warning, employees called it a “bloodbath”.  The news came from employees who refused to give their names on account they’ve been threatened with losing their jobs as well.

Florida:  God powerless to stop ‘his’ church organ maker Tadlock Piano Company from shutting down their Dothan store.  They’re consolidating ops to Panama City.

Illinois: College of Lake County eliminating 20 jobs, blaming failed ‘elected lawmakers’ for failing to come up with a budget.   More proof you brick-n-mortar store owners can’t directly blame the internet/high-tech for your demise; maker of hospital administrative software Valence Health suddenly laid off 75 people, including an executive.  I should point out that in 2014 the company got at least $11.9-million USD from state taxpayers to create jobs in Obama’s homie town of Chicago.

Mississippi: Magee based Pioneer Health Services now chapter 11 bankrupt busted.  Pioneer Health Services operates hospitals in Georgia, North Carolina, Mississippi, Tennessee and Virginia.  Administrators blame ObamaCare reimbursement reductions and the forced shift to outpatient care.  After already shutting down 81 stores Baldwyn based Hancock Fabrics now bankrupt busted and shutting down the remain 185 stores!  For proof there ain’t no economic recovery, the company has lost money every year since 2009!

Nebraska: After 27 years the Athlete’s Edge store in Monument Mall shutting down by the end of April, or when inventory runs out.

New York: Florida based Jabil Circuit issued a shutdown WARN for its Poughkeepsie ops, 45 jobs lost by the end of June due to end of contract.  In Brighton, after 57 years Clover Lanes shutting down Thursday, to be replaced by a grocery store.

Oklahoma: Integris Health notified employees of massive layoffs, blaming Oklahoma’s version of ObamaCare for “…a 25% reduction in  provider fees…beginning June 1…”   attributed to “…the state’s struggling economy….also…the Affordable Care Act…”   Due to an investigation into massive corruption by ‘elected’ officials Yukon City warned employees in all departments of mass layoffs.  City administrators claim they’ve discovered that $1.3-million USD have gone missing from bond sales and that the city is now in the hole by $3-million USD!

Pennsylvania:  The Society Hill Playhouse shutdown after more than 50 years.  There was no reason given.  Medical device maker Teleflex escaping ObamaCare taxes by offshoring 170 jobs to Mexico and Czech Republic, another 190 jobs will be consolidated to other U.S. locations!

Texas: What I call massive Ripple Effect Layoff (REL) as Fort Worth based, Warren Buffett owned, PBS NewsHour sponsor BNSF railway revealed it eliminated 4-thousand 6-hundred jobs in past months! The layoffs exceed the job cuts BNSF made when the ‘recession’ officially began in 2007!  A hiring freeze is in effect, it’s blamed on the oil industry BS!

Virginia: In Charlottesville, after 70 years Kane Furniture has been sold to University of Virginia Health System, who plans on using the building as an administrative office.

Washington: Federal Way based, largest privately operated mint Northwest Territorial now chapter 11 bankrupt busted after losing defamation and invasion of privacy lawsuits.  The coin maker must pay $38-million USD to hundreds of customers in Nevada and California.   The defamation claims involve fake websites that Northwest Territorial Mint is accused of creating for the sole purpose of making competitors look bad.

Study proves Fracking destroys your drinking water, main stream news ignores it!

01 April 2016 (12:28 UTC-07 Tango 01) 13 Farvardin 1395/22 Jumada t-Tania 1437/24 Xin Mao 4714

“This is a wake-up call!”-Dominic DiGiulio, Stanford School of Earth, Energy & Environmental Sciences

Yesterday, Stanford University published the results of their study on drinking water in a Wyoming town afflicted by the oil industry’s fracking operations.

The Stanford case study points out that “only one industry is allowed to inject into underground sources of drinking water”; the petroleum industry.

The researchers had to file Freedom of Information Act demands to get the data they needed.  The data concerns the Pavillion Fields in Wyoming.  The data was originally collected by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, then for some reason the EPA turned the data over to the pro-mining industry government of Wyoming (the oil industry is technically part of the mining industry).

The state of Wyoming has bee releasing tids-n-bits of data, but not the damning evidence that fracking is destroying the aquifer.

The conclusion of Stanford’s case study is that the drinking water cannot be used, and that the entire Rocky Mountain area could lose its precious aquifers: “Geologic and groundwater conditions at Pavillion are not unique in the Rocky Mountain region. This suggests there may be widespread impact to underground sources of drinking water as a result of unconventional oil and gas extraction.”-Dominic DiGiulio

31 March 2016 /19:16 UTC-07 Tango 01 (13 Farvardin 1395/22 Jumada t-Tania 1437/24 Xin Mao 4714)

Idaho: The Idaho National Laboratory (INL) recently revealed their onsite radiation detectors don’t work!  They discovered this a month after an ‘incident’ contaminated several employees!

INL glove box

Local eastern Idaho newspapers got copy of a 43 page internal document detailing what happened.  The INL report was actually completed in December 2015, and concerns an accident that happened in August 2014.  In the Fuel Manufacturing Facility (under management of contractor Battelle Energy Alliance) the seal on a ‘glove box’ failed causing radiation to leak out, however, the radiation detectors never sounded the alarm.  The leak was accidentally discovered a month later during a routine test of the detectors.  Nine of 15 employees in the room suffered internal radiation contamination.  It should be noted that it wasn’t until January this year that the specific room where the incident took place was deemed OK to resume work!  The internal report suggested better safety procedures must be undertaken by contractor Battelle Energy Alliance.

Newspaper Post Register suggested the incident would never have been made public if it weren’t for their first reporting the incident back in September 2015, a year after the incident.  The U.S. Department of Energy (DoE) only alluded to the INL incident in random postings on its website starting in October 2014, but failed to mention that employees had been exposed!

New Mexico: It’s been revealed that work at the failed Waste Isolation Pilot Project (WIPP, with direct connections to INL) was halted for a month when detection devices picked up  carbon monoxide and ‘volatile organic compounds’ in the underground air.

Work is ongoing to install new ventilation systems as a result of the 2014 explosion of a mixed waste drum from Los Alamos National Laboratory.

Despite the ongoing problems at WIPP, the U.S. DoE has decided to ship six tonnes of ‘surplus’ nuclear bomb making plutonium to WIPP, under the guise of reducing any chance that terrorists might get their hands on it.   All that weapons grade plutonium is supposedly coming from South Carolina’s Savannah River Site.

Japan: The prefecture of Fukushima concluded testing on the 72 rivers flowing through the area and was shocked at the results.

After five years of supposed effort to contain and clean up the ongoing meltdowns at the GE designed Fukushima Daiichi, radiation contamination levels have skyrocketed!

The worst offenders are:  Maeda River in Futaba Town (location of Fukushima Daiichi)=54-thousand 5-hundred becquerels per kilogram of radioactive substances

Hiru River in Fukushima City=39-thousand 6-hundred becquerels

Five other rivers=more than 10-thousand bq

When prefectural administrators approached the national government about the situation the Ministry of Environment said under current Japanese nuclear regulations “decontamination is not required for areas outside of residential zones”!

It should be noted that Japan recently shipped several tonnes worth of weapons grade plutonium to the United States and United Kingdom, under the guise of reducing any chance that terrorists might get their hands on it.  Here’s the thing; according to signed agreements Japan is not supposed to have weapons grade plutonium to begin with.  These shipments back up claims by China that Japan is hoarding plutonium for the secret purpose of making nuclear weapons.  What was that about Donald Trump wanting Japan to make it’s own nukes?

“We have not paid our employees in over a month!” Shooting forces business owners to choose family over money! : U.S. Job Losses & Closings 31 March 2016

Incomplete list of job loss announcements and shutdowns.

Today is U.S. federal commemorative holiday Cesar Chavez Day.

Industry analysts Challenger, Gray & Christmas report that publicly announced corporate layoffs for the past 12 months are at a 4 years high.

California: In Berkeley, The Bone Room curiosity shop (selling preserved bones of animals, etc) shutting down their brick-n-mortar shop by June, blaming rent and utilities.  They’ll continue on the internet and at local events.  After only two months “high-priced” restaurant Antoinette shutdown due to disagreements with the Claremont Club & Spa hotel.

Colorado: In Steamboat Springs, after 34 years La Montana shutdown today, after being sold off. It’s hoped the new owner will keep the 38 workers employed with a new establishment.

Florida: Yet more medical school shutdowns!  The first victim of non-profit Zenith Education Groups massive cutbacks; Everest University announced it must shutdown campuses in Lakeland, Brandon and two in Tampa Bay, affecting at least 343 medical students: “It’s a slap in the face for everybody really!”-Angela Adams, medical billing student

Idaho: Evil Blue Cross of Idaho ended its ObamaCare exchange coverage of dialysis, resulting in many Idahoans with no way to pay for treatment. The Idaho Statesman newspaper says Blue Cross is refusing to cover any medical service provider that is not willing to take Blue Cross’ cutthroat rates. The Idaho Department of Insurance refuses to comment about the issue, claiming they’re investigating it.  Dozens more Idahoans could die.: “…we were with Blue Cross last year, when I was diagnosed with kidney failure…started…hemodialysis…..then we got a bill for $115,000…..  Blue Cross of Idaho did not re-up our contract…”-Debbie Birch

The Post Register reporting that a yet another newbie to The Gem State (who moved here from a more ‘socialist’ state) got a big shock when he enrolled with Blue Cross through Idaho’s ObamaCare exchange (Your Health Idaho).  The man is suffering from cancer but recently was told by the pharmacy that his prescriptions would not longer be filled because of Blue Cross.  Let me explain how evil Blue Cross of Idaho is; the cancer patient’s treatment is so expensive that he’s getting financial help from charities on top of his Affordable Care Act insurance, however, Blue Cross told him ObamaCare does not allow “third party funding” of medical treatments!  But get this, in a follow up interview with Blue Cross the Post register said that suddenly everything is fine and they will go ahead and pay for the man’s prescriptions!

Iowa: Chain restaurant Village Inn shutdown its Lindale Mall location without warning, administrators blamed it on high rent.  What automotive industry recovery?  Eaton Corporation revealed it will shutdown its Shenandoah transmission factory by mid-April.  I’m not sure if this is part of the 250 layoffs announced back in February.  Local news reports say employees are already listing their homes for sale.  An unnamed employee says the factory shutdown will kill the community: “There’s no rhyme or reason to much anymore. Shenandoah is already seeing a hit. It will kill this small town.”

Louisiana: In Lafayette, after 42 years Doucet Heritage Hardware shutting down by mid-May. Despite having the reputation for carrying stuff people can’t find at ‘big box stores’ the owners blame competition with the big box, as well as increasing costs of operations and decreased sales.  But the final straw was when they witnessed people being shot that caused them to realize that family time was more important than trying to make money: “I just never had that kind of panic, never in my life. It just made me realize how fast something can happen. My family is so important to me…….It was a really big eye opener.”-Laura Leblanc, co-owner

Massachusetts: Southcoast Health System laying off at least 95 employees in its hospital chain due to crashing revenues caused by ObamaCare.  It should be noted that Southcoast Health System is trying to merge with another hospital chain that’s also eliminating jobs; Care New England of Rhode Island.  After 32 years Au Bon Pain  shutdown their Harvard Square restaurant apparently because of property remodeling by Harvard University.  Administrators say “We continue to search for a location in this area.”

Michigan: Feeding America shutting down its warehouses in Ishpeming and Sault Set Marie, claiming they’re moving to a larger operation.  However, several food banks are reporting that the move by Feeding America is actually forcing them to shutdown.   The Ishpeming Food Bank and Tom’s Pantry in Quinnesec both point out that even though Feeding America’s is moving to a larger location the delivery times aren’t compensating for the further distance, meaning food banks will have to expanded refrigerated storage and/or hire delivery trucks to make extra food runs: “Because they only come up twice a month, you’re going to have to have a lot more refrigeration space than what I have. You’re going to have to have pickups and trailers in order to pick up your food. This is going to cause us to have to close.”-Mary Dixon, Tom’s Pantry

New York: Too Big to Jail NYC based ‘asset manager’ BlackRock reportedly will eliminate 4-hundred jobs in the next two weeks!  The news comes from unnamed insiders, who pointed out that the company also plans to continue hiring new employees while they layoff old employees.  After more than 30 years of school bus service, Carrier Coach issued a shutdown WARN for multiple locations, 224 jobs lost by the end of June due to “economic” reasons!  In Montauk, the Sloppy Tuna restaurant shutdown due to the co-owners filing lawsuits against each other.

North Carolina: After ten years and without warning the Park West Barber School shutdown four of its campuses.  The school’s website had the following message: “IT IS WITH GREAT SADNESS AND REGRET THAT WE MUST INFORM YOU THAT EFFECTIVE TUESDAY MARCH 29, 2016 PARK WEST HAS MADE THE DIFFICULT DECISION TO CLOSE…..THINGS SEEMED PROMISING, BUT UNFORTUNATELY AT THE FINAL HOUR, OUR ONLY OPTION WAS TO CLOSE.”

Pennsylvania: In Richland, the Planet Ice ice rink shutting down July, it’s blamed on competition and will be re-purposed.

Vermont: In Stowe, after 25 years dog themed restaurant Gracie’s shutting down so the owners can retire.

Virginia: Just short of a year Shoryuken Ramen shutting down its noodle eatery on Virginia Commonwealth University campus in May.

Washington: Socialist yet ‘wants everything for free’ Seattle city leaders are upset that a major homeless shelter is shutting down, even threaten them if they do.  But SHARE/WELL (Seattle Housing Resource Effort, Women’s Housing Equality Enhancement League) says they can’t pay the bills due to drastic cuts in county level funding and the high cost of living in Seattle, so they’re forced to close 15 shelters: “So we can’t pay the money out if we don’t have it, and we’ve fallen behind $75,000 right now, so we can no longer operate. We have not paid our employees and they’re all minimum wage employees. We have not paid our employees in over a month!”-Clint Wade

Wisconsin: In Middleton, Max’s Farm Table shutdown. The pissed-off owner revealed he recently spent $1-thousand USD for one week of advertising, yet still his restaurant went several hours per day without a customer: “Sales aren’t even close to where they need to be to justify continuing to invest. Not even close!”-Max Harn, who also said the rent was too high for the unpredictable location

Wyoming: In Casper, what I call Ripple Effect layoffs (REL) as oil industry equipment supplier Power Service laid off at least 50 people.  And Wyoming Machinery is begging employees at its five locations to retire early.  Missouri based Peabody Energy handed out new layoff notices at its North Antelope Rochelle mine, employees say actual number of layoffs won’t be revealed until Friday.  Earlier this week I revealed that Peabody Energy is threatening bankruptcy as one way to get out of paying for mine waste cleanup in Illinois.

The U.S. Department of Labor (DoL) no longer issues mass layoff reports: “On March 1, 2013, President Obama ordered into effect the across-the- board spending cuts (commonly referred to as sequestration) required by the Balanced Budget and Emergency Deficit Control Act, as amended. Under the order, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) must cut its current budget by more than $30 million, 5 percent of the current 2013 appropriation, by September 30, 2013. In order to help achieve these savings and protect core programs, the BLS will eliminate two programs, including Mass Layoff Statistics, and all ‘measuring green jobs’ products. This news release is the final publication of monthly mass layoff survey data.”

U.S. Food Crisis March 2016: “Sales aren’t even close….Not even close!”

Incomplete list of announced United States food supply shutdowns for the month of March, 2016: Many food suppliers/distributors are consolidating operations and killing jobs due to the collapsing grocery store and restaurant industries, as well as rising costs of food production, spread of disease and extreme weather.

Nation’s Restaurant News reports yet another perfect storm of problems for the U.S. restaurant industry, this time mainly blaming employees.  The top three issues are keeping “quality” employees, minimum wage increases and ObamaCare costs.  Some restaurant executives admitted their low pay is the reason they can’t keep quality employees, but said the industry’s profit margins are too tight to significantly increase pay.  Then doesn’t that mean the actual threat to the restaurant industry is the bad economy?

Anti-sugar soda-jerks are celebrating the news that U.S. soda consumption is at a 30 years low.  Many think it’s because people are finally giving up on so-called ‘sugary’ drinks.  Check the ingredient label on those ‘sugary’ sodas you jerks, because the overwhelming majority don’t contain any sugar at all!  Since the 1990s soda-pop makers have been using GMO corn syrup!  All those studies on ‘sugary’ drinks were really testing drinks made with GMO corn syrup.  I personally choose sodas made with 100% sugar, not GMO corn syrup or those sickening diet sodas made with ungodly chemicals.  Perhaps the real reason is that U.S. consumers are waking up to the fact ‘sugary’ sodas are made with GMO corn syrup, or maybe it’s the suck-ass unrecovered economy?  (originally a soda-jerk was the employee who served you your fav soft drink at the local mom-n-pop establishment, now it refers to extremists who want to eradicate carbonated soft drinks)

Due to skyrocketing demand, the price of vanilla beans has tripled.  But get ready for even higher prices as a major producer of vanilla, Madagascar, is reporting a low harvest for 2016.

For nearly a decade the meat packager was dumping water contaminated with salt and feces onto a rancher’s property. So far there’s no explanation for the mass layoffs.  In Jacksonville, after eight years O’Brothers Irish Pub shutdown: “I tell people that restaurants are like martinis: One isn’t enough and two is too many. The owner also admitted that the ever expanding metro of Boise has jacked up local property values so much that he couldn’t refuse an offer from a greedy property developer.  In Boise, after only four months the brand new Boise Co-op grocery store located at The Village at Meridian laid off 29 employees, due to lack of sales! Boise Co-op opened the store in November 2015 expecting big sales because Maureen Valko, Boise Co-op marketing manager, assumed “There’s a demand for a good, natural food store on this side of town….” It should be noted that also in 2015 Boise Co-op was hit with numerous health code violations by city inspectors, in connection to a June 2015 salmonella outbreak at an older store. So much for ‘natural foods’.    Also in Boise, it was revealed that Idaho Heritage Inn was sold-off last month, the former owner blames a 20% crash in bookings on Airbnb.com. However, it should be noted that the bed-n-breakfast owner accepted a healthy offer from Saint Luke’s Medical Center for the land.  Recently Mexico’s Minister of Trade Armando Orellana died. Idaho’s government and agriculture industry are officially mourning Orellana as he’s credited for making Idaho a major ag partner for Mexico, generating $191-million USD in sales for Idaho’s minority (mainly corporate owned now) farmers-ranchers, just in 2015: “Idaho agriculture lost a great friend.

Operation Jupiter: Overwhelming proof HPV vaccine is wrong!

30 March 2016 /21:04 UTC-07 Tango 01 (12 Farvardin 1395/21 Jumada t-Tania 1437/23 Xin Mao 4714)

“The U.S. government has taken the opposite approach amid equally alarming cases of serious side effects. Not only does the Obama administration continue recommending the vaccine (Gardasil), it spends large sums of taxpayer dollars promoting it and works hard to keep details involving its dangers secret.Judicial Watch

Just over two years ago the Japanese government stopped promoting the cervical cancer vaccine for HPV, due to high rates of women becoming permanently ill (“Around 2,000 reported side effects after using Gardasil cervical cancer vaccine have determined Japanese government officials to withdraw Gardasil from the market in 2013”).  The Ministry of Health confirms that at least 186 people are currently suffering from side effects of the vaccines.

Now a class action lawsuit is being brought against the government, GlaxoSmithKline and Gardasil-MSD (aka Merck).  GlaxoSmithKline is refusing comment while Gardasil-MSD actually claims their vaccine is safe simply because governments around the world approved it.   The majority of those sickened by the HPV vaccine are teen aged girls.

Japan has put in place a scheme to manage symptoms, especially generalized chronic pain, that have arisen after human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination…. ….there have also been persistent reports of rare cases of adverse events. These include case reports in the medical literature of complex regional pain syndrome and postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome….  ….In July 2015, the European Medicines Agency announced that it was conducting a safety review of HPV vaccines, which was requested by Denmark, where reports of adverse events after HPV vaccination have been widely reported in the media.”

But here’s a paradox: According to Mercola.com HPV Vaccine Can Make You Susceptible to More Serious Strains of HPV!

Up ’til now Sharp claimed it was going to make a profit for 2015, but now it estimates a loss of $1.5-billion USD!  Amazingly, Hon Hai says it will go through with the takeover, officially by this weekend.  However, Hon Hai will pay $1-billion less than what it originally offered.

No more electronics maker Sharp! Foxconn beats out Samsung!
