World War 3: UN demands war in Mali! France goes on warpath! Rebels promise long war against western invaders! Obama promises are proof of christian war against Islam, in the name of oil!

“France has opened the gates of hell for all the French. She has fallen into a trap which is much more dangerous than Iraq, Afghanistan or Somalia!”-Oumar Ould Hamaha, Mali rebel

14 January 2013, a little earlier than first thought, but it looks like the United Nations has given the go ahead for western invasion of Mali, and France is launching airstrikes.

Mali is a former colony of France, and recently several British empire oil companies have been exploring for black gold in the west African country.  The United States has recently increased troop strength there.

France began airstrikes on 11 January 2013, after the christian dominated UN Security Council issued a statement saying they were afraid the Islamic rebels were winning their revolution.  Today, 14 January 2013, French reports say that despite their weekend long airstrikes the rebels are winning.  Rebels quickly reconstituted after the airstrikes and actually captured another town.  French military leaders are basically calling for a ground invasion by U.S. led NATO.

There are already 2,500 French troops, and 3,300 West African troops (at the behest of the UN), in country trying to save the pro-western Mali government.   Canada has already sent military transport aircraft to help the French.

U.S. President Barack Obama has promised France all the help it needs: “What we have promised them is that we would work with them, to cooperate with them, to provide whatever assistance we can to try to help them in that effort.”-Leon Panetta, U.S. Secretary of Defense

The European Union (EU), and the United Nations (UN) are holding emergency meetings.

Norovirus Update, 09 January 2013: Main stream media now reporting new strain, after I already did! Utah ground zero in United States! More deaths! Canada gets double whammy!

“It’s very fast moving and very contagious.”-Jennifer Robertson, Salt Lake Valley Health Department, Utah

09 January 2013, U.S. main stream media reporting that the cause of increased norovirus cases is a new version.  In December 2012 I reported that Japanese health officials reported a new strain that was sicken thousands of Japanese.  In March 2012 I warned that increased globalization of food markets could spread new diseases within the U.S. (mainly because the Federal government cut funding for Food & Drug Administration inspections of imported food).

The latest reports say the new version of norovirus was born in Australia, and it’s launch point in the U.S. is the Beehive State of Utah.  It’s called Genotype II.4 or Sydney 2012.

In Utah, at least 250 Mormon missionaries got sick at the missionary training camp. State health officials are investigating clusters of outbreaks.

In Oregon, reports that people visiting the zoo are getting sick. Beaver State health officials think that as many as 135 people got sick at the Oregon Zoo in Portland, back in December 2012. An independent media investigation revealed that the zoo’s restaurants avoided health inspections since 2006, through a loophole favoring state run businesses. To make matters worse, on 03 January 2013, health officials reported another outbreak in Portland. One hospital had 75 ER cases since December, and then four of their own doctors and a dozen nurses got sick.

And just because something is new, doesn’t mean it’s clean.  In Wyoming, Cowboy State health officials have linked a norovirus outbreak to a newly opened Golden Corral Buffet & Grill.  306 people were confirmed to be sick with the vomiting bug, in December 2012: “The real strong message is that there’s a definite, classic curve that shows that there was a point-source outbreak December 7th through 10th at Golden Corral restaurant.”-Robert Harrington, Casper-Natrona County Public Health Department

In California, two people died in Mill Valley, Marin County, after an outbreak last week.  On 08 January 2013, a private college prep school re-opened in Los Olivos, Santa Barbara County, after it closed twice, because of outbreaks.  The first outbreak took place on 26 November 2012, after a teacher in-service day.  The second outbreak occurred among students in December.

In Nevada, health officials admit that norovirus cases are so common there, that they don’t keep stats!  In Las Vegas, casino owners swear they keep track in order to prevent spreading it to other casinos.  One state health official says it ain’t no thing: “We don’t keep statistics on it because it is so common.”-Jennifer Sizemore,  Southern Nevada Health District

Health officials in the United Kingdom don’t think it ain’t no thing.  They predict a million more Brits will get sick, compared to last year.  They’ve also issued a warning regarding blood donors!  The result is a shortage of the O-, or universal blood type.  On 07 January 2013, there were reports that hospital ERs were so full that people were being treated in ambulances.

In Taiwan (Republic of China), the Taipei City Government Department of Health reported 2,100 emergency room cases last week.  That’s double from the same time last year!  Health officials say it’s almost a guarantee that if one family member gets sick, the whole family will be sick soon.

In Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, hospitals are getting hit with a double whammy of norovirus and influenza.  Alberta Health Services reports hospitals are more than 100% occupancy.  Elective surgeries are being canceled due to concerns over infections.  Albertans are being asked to be more selective in seeking help: “We are looking to Albertans to educate themselves on the options available for their care to ensure they get the care they need quickly, and also to help reduce the pressures on our ERs during this season.”-William Dickout, Edmonton medical director

Back in the U.S. of A.  The Maine Center for Disease Control (MCDC) says it’s concerned about the flu/norovirus double whammy, as norovirus has spread from York County: “Norovirus is totally different from influenza. They are both happening in Maine right now, and you have to know a little bit about each one to protect yourself.”-Stephen Sears, MCDC

There is no treatment for norovirus, no vaccine, and your body does not develop immunity so you can get sick again and again and again….

Check my previous postings about norovirus.  You’ll notice most outbreaks involve hospitals.  You’ll also read about a recent study that says cleanliness might not have any affect on viruses (it’s actually the first study ever to investigate such claims).

U.S. Civil War(?) & Government Evil: U.S. House member uses fallacious Apple to Oranges anti-gun argument, uses false numbers!

“In the United States, we had 9,000 people killed with guns last year, in similar countries like Germany 170 killed with guns, in Canada 150….”-Jerrold Nadler, Representative from New York

Germany has a population of 81,799,000, in a geographical area of 357,021 square km (137,847 square miles).

Canada has a population of 33,476,688 in an even larger area of 9,984,670 square km (3,854,085 square miles).

United States has a population of 311,591,917, in a geographical area slightly smaller than Canada!  The U.S. population is 9 times bigger than Canada, and 3.8 times bigger than Germany.

Now realize that Canada and Germany have much stricter gun control laws, and yet they suffer hundreds of gun related deaths every year.  This seems like proof that gun control doesn’t work.

Also, the numbers for Canada and Germany, used by Representative Nadler, are false!  According to the UN World Health Organization, in 2010 there were 1.1 gun related homicides, per 100,000 people in Germany.  That’s more than the 150 Representative Nadler claimed!

For some reason, official death by gun rates in Canada are hard to find, but one study said that in 2003 homicide by gun was about 0.5 per 100,000 people.   That’s still more than what Representative Nadler claims.

But if we’re going to compare country to country, let’s do!

Representative Nadler also avoided comparing the U.S. to South Africa, El Salvador and Thailand.  They actually have a far higher death by shooting rate than the U.S., and they have tougher gun control laws.

One Thai commentator hypocritically said the U.S. culture is to blame for gun crimes.   A 2002 study said Thailand had 20,032 homicides by gun in the year 2000!  In 2008 the homicide by gun rate was 5.9 victims for every 100,000 people.  It’s estimated that there are 10,000,000 guns in Thailand (a country smaller than California), but only 3,870,000 are legally registered.  So much for gun control!

The UN Office of Drugs and Crime reported 9.41 gun related deaths, per 100,000 people in South Africa, so far this year! Do the math, that’s more than the United States.  South Africa has stricter gun laws than the United States, those laws include registering your gun with the government.

El Salvador is the world leader in gun related deaths.  According to the Organization of American States, in 2011 there were 50.36 gun related deaths per 100,000 people in the tiny Central American country!  Do the math, that blows away anything in the United States.  “El Salvador has strict laws requiring a locally obtained license to possess or carry a firearm in the country.”-U.S. Department of State

According to the Organization of American States, in 2010 the United States had a total of 9 gun related deaths for every 100,000 people.  Of that 2.98 were homicides, 5.75 suicides and 0.27 accidental.  More gun control might mean less suicides!

Note: I don’t think these death by gun rates include people killed by police.

World War 3: United States to invade Mali in 2013, is it really about the oil? Blame the British Empire!

On 07 December 2012, the Washington Post reported that President Barack Obama is planning to invade northern Mali, on the pretext that the northern half of Mali is being ruled by Islamists friendly to al Qaeda.

The invasion will be joined by France, but officially it will be an African led invasion.  The Washington Post even quoted a U.S. official: “…the military concept proposes an Africa led effort, but several key questions must be answered to ensure that this effort is also well planned and well resourced.”-Johnnie Carson, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs

The West African country of Mali (which by the way borders Algeria which borders Libya, hmmmm) is considered by some sources to have “…no known commercially exploitable oil or gas resources.”

However, for the past few years Canadian and European oil companies have been actively involved in oil exploration, in the northern areas of Mali.

Canadian oil giant, Heritage Oil Corporation, is specifically involved with block 7 and block 11 seismic and exploration fields in the northern part of Mali.  This information comes from Africa Oil Corporation (also a Canadian company, despite the name), which says they are 25% involved with the Heritage Mali operations.

Heritage, on their own web site, admitted they were concerned about the security of their area of operations: “Following the coup in March 2012, Heritage is monitoring the security situation and considering all options.”

Other oil companies involved include: Eni, an Italian company. Selier energy, another Canadian outfit.  Sonatrach, an Algerian (formerly French?) company.  And Centric Energy, based in United Kingdom, they also have a 25% stake in Heritage’s block 7 and block 11 operations in Mali.

With the majority of oil companies involved in Mali coming from Canada and United Kingdom, is this another case of the evil British empire getting the United States to do its dirty work?

U.S. Influenza, 10 December 2012: More deaths reported! Children being hit hardest! Canadians say you can’t trust the numbers. New Russian bird flu! New Asian cat & dog flu!

“Significant increases in flu activity in the U.S. in the last three weeks…”-U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)

One hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, in just the past week confirmed 200 cases of flu, mostly kids: “Right now hundreds of kids in the emergency room this week. We’ve had over 200 diagnoses of flu. Eight to 10 admitted to the hospital a day and two in intensive care. It’s really hitting Memphis hard.”-John McCullers, Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital

On 07 December, South Dakota‘s Pennington County reported their first flu death. There are 156 confirmed cases.

In North Carolina, two deaths reported on 29 November. According to Forsyth County Health officials, one adult had other medical problems, but the other adult did not.

Also, on 28 November South Carolina reported one death caused by flu, in Barnwell County.  Department of Health and Environmental Control said they had 1232 positive flu tests in just one week!

On 21 November, San Diego County, California, reported its first flu death of the 2012-13 season.

Wyoming reporting an early start to their flu season. First case reported back in October, with 342 confirmed cases of by the 1st of December.

New York reporting widespread flu activity.  Former New York City Mayor, Ed Koch, is about to leave the hospital after being admitted a week ago with both pneumonia and flu.

08 December, Pennsylvania health officials reporting big jumps in flu cases.  Flu status for the state was raised from “Sporadic” to “Regional”.  Officials expect to hit “Widespread” status next week.

09 December, Wisconsin reporting 113 confirmed cases, and four deaths.

Main stream U.S. media reporting that several children have died.  Fox News says three kids have died, NBC says five.  Neither one gave details, and simply referenced the CDC.  The CDC says there have been five “pediatric deaths” so far, three during the week of 25 November to 01 December.  The deaths involved both flu A and flu B strains.

Across the northern border in Canada, reported on 10 December one child and three adults have died in the Waterloo Region of southern Ontario.  The three older adults died from flu A.  Health officials would only say that the child who died was younger than 10, and did not get vaccinated.

Some Canadians have publicly questioned the official flu death reports.  One doctor even said it was a guessing game: “This is a scientific guess. This is not the truth…I think people may have the misconception that every person who dies from the flu is somehow counted somewhere, and they’re not…”-Michael Gardam, director of the infection prevention and control unit University Health Network

Back here in the U.S. of A., another doctor is pointing out that other viruses can cause flu like symptoms: “There’s lots of other viruses out there that cause the flu and cause other flu-like illnesses. It may not be the flu, but it’s still a bad cold or a bad cough that kids transfer to and from one another.”-Charles Bregier, Presbyterian Urgent Care

Across the Pacific, in Russia, birds are getting the blame.  Russian officials in the Krasnodar region (bordering the Black Sea) are reporting that hundreds of ducks have died from a new “low-pathogenic flu”.  In other words, there’s a new bird flu out there.

There is also a new cat/dog flu being reported in Thailand.  Veterinarians say the new flu goes after cats and dogs who’re are already sick, most have had skin problems before getting the new flu: “Before they died, they would have sores on their bodies, coughs, runny noses, no appetite, and convulsions. If the disease hit a mother cat, it would claim the lives of the mother and the kittens.”-Payao Inman, nun working at Buddhist temple were unwanted pets are abandoned

Sears & Kmart news: Losses for Canada! Lawsuits against Kenmore! Millions of shiny sh*t for Kmart shoppers?

14 November 2012, Sears Holdings reports it has completed it’s sell off of about 44% of its stocks in Sears Canada.  According to reports Sears Holdings issued the shares of Sears Canada only to those investors who were Sears Holdings stock holders.  Sears Holdings/Hoffman Estates still controls 51% of Sears Canada.

This comes as Sears Canada reports a loss for the most recent quarter, $21.9 million!  Same store sales dropped 5.7% compared to the same time last year (and last year was down as well). CEO, Calvin McDonald, took it as good news, kinda: “Although we made progress in the quarter, we can and must do more. Our plan is working, however our pace of execution has not met our expectations.”

The U.S. Court of Appeals now says Sears can face class action lawsuit over its Kenmore/Whirlpool washing machines.  People are complaining that the front loading environmentally friendly washing machines do not clean themselves properly, leading to mold build up and stinky clothing (say, I was tricked into getting one of those things, and they’re right [you do have to run a bleach wash every month and leave the door open after every load]!  Not only that but the darn thing doesn’t even hold 3/4s the amount of clothes my old cheap top loader could hold).  Legal complaints have already been filed in California, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Minnesota and Texas.

The Los Angeles Times challenged the cast of Million Dollar Decorators to find items at Kmart that would satisfy their decorator tastes.  Of course they went for items with celebrity names on them.  Anyone who’s shopped at Kmart, or even Walmart, and bought anything endorsed by a celebrity should know it’s still a piece-o-crap!  Most everything sold at the ‘discount’ retailers have been dumbed down at the factory in order to meet the lower profit margin of those stores.  Even Mary McDonald admitted you can’t make shit shine (actually the cast of Myth Busters discovered a way to make shit shine): “If you try to make something fancy inexpensively, it often looks cheap.”

Christian & Government Evil: Queen of England’s empire rife with child abuse at the hands of church & government officials, Australia admits guilt, hidden investigations reveal tip of iceberg!

“I can testify from my own experience that the church covers up, silences victims, hinders police investigations, alerts offenders, destroys evidence and moves priests to protect the good name of the church.”-Peter Fox, New South Wales Detective Chief Inspector

“I would say please get the Jillings report published because it shows… rape, bestiality, violent assaults and torture, and the effects on those young boys at that time cannot be under-estimated.”-Ann Clwyd, read mysterious Jillings Report

12 November 2012, a total of three British Broadcasting Corporaton (BBC) executives have now resigned over a documentary that falsely accused a politician of child sex abuse.

The problem is that such crimes are rife within the British empire.  Today the Australian Prime minister, Julia Gillard, caved to demands from the general public and said a Royal Commission investigation into child abuse, taking place in schools and churches, will be undertaken.

This came after a top police official in New South Wales made demands in a publicized letter to the government. Detective Chief Inspector Peter Fox wrote his letter after 35 years of investigating crimes against children.

However, the Australian government’s investigation will apparently focus only on the Catholic Church.  The current pope has already apologized, and the Aussie state of Victoria confirmed at least 600 cases of abuse at the hands of Catholic officials, since 1936.  The Australian Catholic Bishops Conference publicly supports the investigation, but pointed out that the problem of child sexual abuse is not confined just to the Catholic church.

Opposition party politicians are asking that the Royal investigation be expanded to other churches, schools and even non-governmental agencies.

Back to the British Isles.  The BBC report concerned long term child abuse crimes in Wales.  Crimes that had been investigated then covered up by the local county government.

In this particular case, the abuse took place throughout the 1970s-80s.  In 1991 seven workers at child care homes were convicted, however, another investigation was launched because the abuse claims continued.

In 1994 John Jillings was hired by the county to lead the investigation.  He says the Clwyd County Council refused to make public his investigation (aka The Jillings Report), on the advise of attorneys who said the county would be sued.

Then, in 2000, High Court judge Sir Ronald Waterhouse published his investigation, which has been criticized as not showing the full scale of the child abuse scandal.

This led to the recent BBC report, which somehow got the public blaming an unnamed politician (unnamed in the BBC report) who supposedly is not connected to the crimes.  The whole thing is actually diverting from the real problem of how rampant child abuse, at the hands of British government and church officials, really is in Merry Olde England (of course I mean the whole of the British empire).

Here’s what Colin Everett, of the Flintshire County Council, said about the mysterious Jillings report: “We have now established that several copies of the report are in existence in local authority archives.  The report and any supporting documents held in archive are being made available to North Wales Police and the National Crime Agency (NCA). The Jillings report was disclosed to the subsequent Waterhouse inquiry and we would expect the NCA to have access to it through recovery of the papers from the inquiry, held in archive by government departments. North Wales local authorities are taking collective and independent legal advice on whether the report can or should be disclosed under the Freedom of Information legislation, whether in full or in part. The National Crime Agency is being consulted, as any public disclosure cannot compromise or prejudice the new investigation.”

(and don’t forget about the abuse of European orphans and Native Americans at the hands of Canadian officials throughout the 20th century.)

What Economic Recovery? Updated list of more Kmart and Sears closings! Sears Canada to focus on consumers’ “wants” and not “needs”. Kmart stores in North Carolina & Australia going down!

08 November 2012, the closing of Kmarts and Sears continues.  This time it includes a store in Australia!

The Kmart store in Katoomba, Australia, is being replaced with a Woolworths.  This comes after the Australian owned Kmart reported increased sales (Kmarts in Australia and New Zealand are not owned by the U.S. based Sears Holdings).

In Canada, Sears is spending money trying to rebuild its image through an advertising campaign.  Officials admitted that Sears doesn’t satisfy ‘needs’, and they will focus on ‘wants’ in their adds: “We sell more wants than needs. What ‘wants’ deliver is inspiration and emotion, happiness, and that was really the emotion we focused on for our brand and tag line.”-Calvin McDonald, Sears Canada CEO

The problem is that in bad economies your average working class consumer must ignore ‘wants’ and are forced to focus on ‘needs’.

Traces of massive Canadian Meteorite impact found in Japan!

06 November 2012, researchers in Japan claim they have found traces of a massive meteorite impact.  The impact took place in Canada more than 215 million years ago!

Researchers from Kagoshima University are investigating soil from the bed of the Kiso River in Gifu Prefecture, central Japan. They found unusually huge amounts of metal from the platinum group.  Meteorites contain a lot of metals from the platinum family.

They believe the metal came from a massive impact 215 million years ago in Quebec Province, Canada.

What Economic Recovery? Updated list as more Kmart and Sears closings announced! $45,000 in Jewelry stolen! Parts & repair centers to be closed! Canadians love Sears! Business is good for Kmart, in Australia!

30 October 2012, since my last posting (on 21 October 2012) about the ongoing Sears Holdings shut downs, there have been more store closings announced.

Also, Sears Holdings just announced they will be closing two parts and repair centers, both located in The Woodlands, Texas.  At least 117 Texans will lose their jobs by 23 January 2013.

In Washington, on 23 October 2012 Bellingham Sears employees were notified that they will lose their jobs in January, however, the store management has known for months about the closing: “We’ve known since March of this year.”-Noelle Jorgensen, store manager

The latest announcements will mean 654 jobs will be added to the thousands already lost due to the Sears/Kmart closings.

In Canada, the newspaper, Calgary Herald, announced the winner of their 2012/13 Readers’ Choice Awards: Department Store, Appliance Store, Carpet Cleaners and Floor Coverings contest.  According to the newspaper Canadians picked Sears!

This despite the fact that Sears stores are being closed in Canada as well.  On 07 October one of the largest Sears stores in British Columbia was closed. 300 people lost their jobs (at it’s height of operation it once employed 800 people)!

Also in Canada, Sears Holdings announced it will reduce its 95.5% stake in Sears Canada, by selling its stocks to common stockholders.  Sears Holdings wants to reduce its stake in Sears Canada to 51%.

Kmart has reported a 3.1% increase in sales, in Australia and New Zealand: “This is the 11th period in succession of solid comparable growth in transactions and units for Kmart as customers respond positively to its market leading pricing strategy and improved merchandise offer.”-Richard Goyder, Wesfarmers

In a side note, the Sears in Yuma, Arizona, was robbed of $45,000 USD of jewelry on 26 October 2012.  According to Yuma Police, the early morning burglars also caused approximately $70,000 in damage breaking into the Sears.

Also on 26 October, a Detroit, Michigan, Kmart store reported thousands of dollars worth of jewelry as stolen.  Police say it was a theft, not a burglary (in other words no body broke into the store).

In Greeley, Colorado, a man stole a car and smashed it into a Sears, then stole automotive tools. It was one part of the man’s larger smash and grab burglary spree.

Sears holdings is also suing a former executive for $700,000.  They claim she breached her contract.
