World War 3: Afghan Bank blown up, Karzai frees dozens of prisoners in Kandahar

On February 29, 2012, in Takhar Province, a vehicle belonging to a bank in the city of Taloqan exploded.  At least 13 civilians were wounded.

The “Taliban” have not claimed responsibility, which is not normal as they usually claim responsibility right away, if they did it.  Officials with the city of Taloqan said a bomb was attached to the bank vehicle.

On February 28, Afghan President Hamid Karzai ordered the release of 27 prisoners in Kandahar Province.  Those released include teenagers and women.  Karzai also shortened the sentences for 143 other prisoners in Kandahar.

One reporter said Afghans are being arbitrarily arrested, in U.S. NDAA 2012 style: “Hundreds of Afghans are serving in the central jail ….without having a specific charge against them and their cases are not properly followed.”-Javid Ahmad Tanveer

The climate is so bad in Kandahar’s prisons that several prisoners escaped by digging their way out, last year.

U.S. supported corruption in Afghanistan, Courts convict 60 Afghan judges, another 1,000 suspects

March 1, 2012, the Supreme Court of Afghanistan announced that 60 former judges were convicted on corruption charges.  The majority worked in Kabul, and took bribes.

Another 1,000 people are under investigation for corruption! Those people do not work for the Afghan court system, but they acted as go betweens for the bribing of judges.

In 2011, several U.S. court cases showed that most of the corruption in Afghanistan, involving contractors, was instigated by U.S. forces who oversaw the funding of those contractors.

World War 3: Firefight between Afghan & U.S. forces in Kandahar!

March 1, 2012, Afghan media reports say the attack on a U.S./NATO/ISAF base in Kandahar was a full blown firefight!

Quoting local officials, Afghan media says the battle started at 03:00 (that’s 3am for those who don’t understand 24 hour time clocks), in Zherai district.

According to Zherai district official, Niyaz Mohammad Sarhadi, not only were two U.S. troops killed, but two Afghan soldiers were killed, and another wounded.

The attack seemed to be spontaneously started when one Afghan soldier started shooting at U.S. troops.  Other Afghans joined in.  U.S./NATO/ISAF forces fired back.

World War 3: Afghan police and civilians killed in bombing, new “Taliban” actually from Central Asia

February 29, 2012, in northern Faryab Province, at least two Afghan police and three civilians were killed in an explosion.

Local officials blame “Taliban”, but so far no comment from Taliban sources (which is not normal, they usually claim responsibility right away, if they did it).

In January 2011, Afghan government forces claimed they gained control of Faryab Province.  Recently a report said that many of the insurgent “Taliban”, in northern Afghanistan, were actually people from Central Asian countries!

In Takhar Province, U.S./NATO/ISAF officials said the insurgent “Taliban” there were actually part of the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan group.

On March 1, 2012, in Panjshir Province 13 Afghan police were wounded when a gas cylinder exploded.

World War 3: An Afghan soldier, and an Afghan teacher kill 2 more U.S. troops

March 1, 2012, yet another Afghan government soldier took part in attacking U.S./NATO/ISAF forces.  An Afghan in civilians clothes also took part in the attack.  The attack took place inside a U.S./NATO/ISAF base in Kandahar Province.

Two NATO troops are confirmed dead.  British media say the two who were killed are U.S. soldiers.  Afghan’s said the attack was vengeance for the U.S. burning of dozens of Qur’ans!

Just hours before the NATO troops were attacked, a NATO official said the Afghan uprising was a temporary setback, that would be overcome.

As usual there is conflicting reports about this attack:  British media say it was an Afghan soldier and a civilian who attacked the NATO forces.  Locals say it was a lone gunman, who was also a teacher at a school inside the base.  The Afghan Army says two people attacked one of the guard towers, took the tower over, then used it to attack the NATO troops.  Afghan Army officials say they killed the attackers.

According to officials at the U.S. Pentagon, there have been 42 “insider” attacks on U.S./NATO/ISAF forces since 2007.

World War 3: Day 9 Afghan riots, Taliban killed attacking U.S. base, U.S. forces hit by car bomb, confusing reports

In eastern Nangarhar Province, at least six people, described as “Taliban” were killed when a U.S./NATO/ISAF base was attacked.

The governor of the province said the base was attacked by armed militants.  Taliban sources say ten troops of the U.S. led forces were killed.

In the southern province of Helmand, reports of a suicide car bomb ripping through a U.S./NATO/ISAF convoy.   However, other reports say the car bomb hit civilians only.  The Voice of America says local police officials said the bomber was attacking U.S. troops, but Chinese media said the same police official said only civilians were targeted.

So far, no “Taliban” source has commented on the suicide car bombing. Usually the Taliban are quick to claim responsibility for attacks they undertake, which indicates the suicide car bomb was not a “Taliban” attack.

World War 3: Day 8 Afghan riots, U.S. helicopter shot down, NATO troops poisoned, U.S. forces Incompetent

“Soldiers are now eating pre-prepared rations, and no one was affected. There is a full investigation that is narrowing down who was responsible.”-Major David Eastburn, NATO/ISAF

In eastern Afghanistan someone tried to poison the food at NATO/ISAF Forward Operating Base Torkham.  A Pentagon spokesman said they are still trying to determine if it was intentional or accidental.  However, “Taliban” sources are claiming responsibility.

Also, breaking news that a U.S./NATO helicopter has been shot down, ten people killed.  It was shot down in Nuristan (Nooristan) Province.

According to filmmaker John McHugh, U.S. forces pulled out of Nuristan, because the “Taliban” were kicking their ass (he claims 180 U.S. troops were killed at the end of 2011, just in the provinces of Nuristan and Kundar).

Now, despite President Obama’s claim to take troops out of Afghanistan by 2014, U.S. forces are trying to retake Nuristan.  McHugh has seen U.S./NATO/ISAF helicopters get shot down there, most are not being reported in the U.S .media.

McHugh also says U.S. military operations in Afghanistan are incompetent: “Over the course of my stay on [Operation] Mace, I witnessed the truly awesome firepower that the U.S. military brings to a fight.  Between their helicopters and jets they had dropped 19 bombs, fired two Hellfire missiles, 205 rockets, 500 rounds of 20 mm, and 210 rounds of 30 mm cannon.  They also discharged 3,750 rounds of .50 caliber [12.7 mm] machine gun ammunition.  And yet, only once, could they confirm that they had killed a single Taliban fighter.”

World War 3: Afghans call for Global Muslim March on Jerusalem Al-Quds!!!

The following is a statement released by various organizations in Afghanistan calling for a Global March on Jerusalem (GMJ):

In the service of our dear and faithful brothers and sisters in the “Program for the Asian Co-ordination of the Global March to Jerusalem”.

May the peace and blessing of God be upon you.

The reality is that Jerusalem is the bloodied heart of the Islamic world. Jerusalem, the place which is a representative of the existence of the religion and culture of Islam, has been under the boots of despotism and occupation for more than 60 years. Our faithful brothers and sisters have been bloodthirstily sent to their deaths by the hands of Zionism and international Crusades. For six decades the people of these lands have been driven out of their homes, the conspiracies of the arrogant powers have rendered their homes demolished and their land has been usurped. Millions of refugees, who are citizens of Palestine, have been driven far from their territories and a combination of all these factors has created a major catastrophe in the Middle East. It is obvious that the clear religion of Islam, with decisive arguments from the book of God and his Prophet (PBUH), does not tolerate these terrible crimes.

It is also apparent that our dear Islam has made clear what our responsibilities are in light of the divine constitutions. 60 years of deadly silence despite the power of the Arab Middle East has been against the direction of the actions of an Islamic nation. In these 60 years the rulers and statesmen of Islamic countries have had plenty of time which has been put to waste.

However, luckily the last ten years have resulted in the emergence of a different plot, this being the result of the establishment of popular governments and the falling of those hands which were connected with colonialism. Especially the flooding by these popular revolutions of the last strongholds, or embassy (or “den of spying”), in the Islamic countries showed us that this regime is no more in a position where it can create more enemies from amongst the Muslims.

Dear brothers and sisters!

Taking into account all of the above, the Islamic circuits in Afghanistan with the Islamic Movement of Afghanistan and the Council of the Friends of Jerusalem have united in one voice and have answered positively to your call. We will not hesitate in our selflessness or cooperation to make sure the goals set out by this group are made into reality. The same way that the Islamic Movement of Afghanistan has praised and taken this reasonable step, it invites all the Muslim brothers and sisters of Afghanistan, Islamic world and other Muslims worldwide to wish good luck (to this movement) and we desire that they cooperate and assist this caravan till it has reached that which it has set out for.

With Respect,

World War 3: Day 7 Afghan riots, France & Germany leaving, Airport/U.S. base bombed, Afghan officials cancel trip to United States

France announced they will pull all non-military personnel out of Afghanistan!

Germany will pull out all expert advisers working in Kabul!  This follows similar moves by the U.S. and United Kingdom.

Also, the airport at Jalalabad has been hit by a huge explosion.  Afghan police say many casualties.  “Taliban” say it was vengeance for Qur’an burnings, they say some U.S. led forces were killed.  It’s been confirmed that at least nine Afghans were killed.

NATO forces blocked off area around the airport. The airport also serves as a base for U.S. led forces.

The Defense Minister, and Interior Minister of Afghanistan have canceled their planned trip to visit with U.S. military officials at the Pentagon.  U.S. Defense Secretary, Leon Panetta, says he “understands”.
