Reactor 1 Core damaged, conundrum!

Tokyo Electric Power Company admits Fukushima Daiichi’s Reactor 1 has a damaged core.

It would explain the high levels of radioactive water coming from the building.  TEPCo thinks the core is breached, allowing radioactive steam to enter the containment vessel.  That’s mixing with the water in the containment vessel, which is also leaking.  To make the problem worse, the fuel rods in the core are still partially exposed, and breaking down.

TEPCo wants to continue injecting water, which they are doing at a rate of 600 tons per hour.  The Japanese Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency is warning that they think Reactor 1 is damaged so much that it can not handle anymore water injection.  If TEPCo is injecting water at 600 tons per hour, and they still can’t cover the exposed fuel rods, obviously the water is leaking out faster than they can put it in.  That suggests sizable damage.

So, TEPCo is dealing with a conundrum; adding more water could further damage the structure, making things worse, but not injecting water will expose more fuel rods, making things worse.

Reactor 4 Spent Fuel pool in trouble!

Tokyo Electric Power Company is worried about Reactor 4, at the Fukushima Daiichi nuke plant.  They think the spent fuel pool has been too damaged by the 9.0 quake, and the many aftershocks, that they can’t inject anymore water to keep fuel rods cool.

On 22 April, the temperature shot up 50 degrees Celsius, above normal, and 200 tons of water had to be injected.  TEPCo is now monitoring the structure of the building as well as the spent fuel pool temps.  The spent fuel pool holds more than 1,000 fuel rods, including active rods that had just been removed from Reactor 4, for scheduled maintenance, before the 11 March disasters.

Radioactive Concrete Block found at Fukushima Daiichi!

Tokyo Electric Power Company says crews working at Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant found 30 x 30 centimeter (11 x 11 inches) concrete fragment, that’s radioactive.

The small block is emitting 900 millisieverts per hour of radiation.  It was placed in a nuke waste container.  TEPCo says the concrete came from Reactor 3, after its hydrogen gas explosion.

Anti Musilm Terry Jones in Jail

Terry Jones spent time in a Michigan jail after refusing to pay a ridiculous $1 bond (yes, one dollar).

A jury ruled that Jones’ protest was intended to incite violence.  Jones refused to pay the symbolic bond, and said his church would hold the protest anyway.

Jones, and a supporter, finally paid the bond, and were released from jail.  They still plan to protest in front of the largest Mosque in the U.S.: “We will be in contact with legal representation and plan to protest next week in front of the Islamic Center.”

Subaru says Israeli ad, of Israeli settler running over Palestinians, is a fake but the video is real

Recently Subaru of America responded to complaints about an Israeli advertisement, in which the head of a property development company runs over Palestinian kids, who’re protesting their land being taken, with his new Subaru.

Subaru of America said they think the ad “…is fake”.  Even if the ad is fake,  the video of the actual incident is all over the internet.

The incident took place in 2010, you can clearly see the Zionist is driving a Subaru (outside the U.S. Subaru is known as Fuji Heavy Industries):

Tornado hits Saint Louis airport

A tornado hit St. Louis airport. It damaged a terminal and parts of the airport’s Concourse C, which is used by American Airlines, AirTran and Cape Air.

The tornado was last seen heading towards Ferguson, Missouri.

Earlier this week a tornado hit a Virginia nuclear power plant.  It’s shut down while they repair a switchyard.

Pakistan says U.S. drone operators have quietly left their country

A senior Pakistani intelligence official says U.S. personnel operating drones from a Pakistan base, have quietly left the country.

Officially the U.S. is not operating drones out of Pakistani bases,  but Pakistani intelligence has been saying, for a while now, they the U.S. is indeed using Pakistani bases for drone attacks.

Supposedly U.S. drones use Pakistan’s Shamsi Air Base.

Carl Forsberg, research analyst at the Institute for the Study of War, says it’s possible the Pakistanis are using pressure on the United States.

Drone attacks kill more civilians than terrorists. The latest attack, last Friday, killed 25 people, including five women and three children: “Drone attacks have become a core irritant in the counter terror campaign. We have repeatedly said that such attacks are counterproductive and only contribute to strengthen the hands of the terrorists.”-Pakistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Perhaps the U.S. drone operators left, because they are now needed in Libya?

Subaru disowns Israeli advertisment showing Palestinians being run over by Subaru car

“Nobody will stand against you! Subaru!”

In a response to complaints about an Israeli ad that shows Palestinian teens being hit by an Israeli driving a Subaru (made by Fuji Heavy Industries),  U.S. Subaru officials claim Subaru had nothing to do with the ad.

“Thank you for taking the time to contact Subaru of America.  We appreciate you bringing your concern to our attention.

We are the distributor of new Subaru products for the United States only.  We believe that this to be a fake advertisement.  This posting has been brought to the attention of the manufacturer of Subaru vehicles.  Please bear with Subaru while we attempt to locate the source and to have it removed.

Thank you for bringing this to Subaru’s attention.

It was China’s Xinhua News that first reported the advertisement.  It’s intersting that even though Subaru is a Japanese brand, made by Fuji Heavy Industries, people upset by the advertisment complained to the Subaru of America office!

Chinese dumping wheels on the U.S. Market

The U.S. International Trade Commission and the Department of Commerce are investigating claims by U.S. companies, that China is dumping steel wheels on the U.S. market.

The claim was filed by the U.S. wheel makers, Accuride Corp and Hayes Lemmerz International Inc.

16 Chinese companies are being investigated for selling their wheels in the United States, for far less than what it cost to make them.  Dumping is a way a company can gain a foot hold in a specific market, by selling their products at huge loses, to push out their competitors. Once that is done the dumping company will increase their prices to make up the difference.

Earthquakes, Tsunamis, Nuke disasters, now Typhoons!

Japan has gone through a lot in the past month.  But typhoon season is on it’s way.  Nishiyama Hidehiko, of the Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency, said nuke plant operators are now preparing for typhoon season.

They believe preparations will be complete by the end of the month.  Officials say the nuke plants are designed to withstand a typhoon, but isn’t that what they said about earthquakes and tsunamis?

Another factor is that some of those nuclear plants have been damaged by the 11 March, 9.0 quake and tsunami.  Wouldn’t that comprise their strength?  Even this morning, 22 April, Fukushima Daiichi was hit by yet another aftershock, 5.6 magnitude.

Fukushima Daiichi is right on the coast, and Tokyo Electric doesn’t think they can get the plant stabilized enough for a cold shut down for at least six to nine months. The Typhoon season is here, now.  Typhoons start hitting Japan as early as May, and the season peaks in September.
