MI-6 admits the war in Iraq was about Oil for the British Empire, everything else is just lies, lies, lies

“The overall plan would need to be like an onion, each layer concealing the one below.”-Richard Dearlove, former SIS (MI-6) chief

When it comes to the long history of Iraq and the British Empire it’s always been about the oil.

The United Kingdom’s Secret Intelligence Service (aka MI-6, aka SIS-4) has revealed documents that show that the British interest in the invasion of Iraq was all about controlling the oil.

The report appears in the U.K. newspaper The Daily Mail.  SIS officers and the Blair administration discussed ways to “new security in oil supplies” by invading Iraq.  The British Empire first took over Iraq after World War 1, for the purpose of surrounding Russia in what’s called the Great Game (which many think is still going on), and mainly to develop Iraq’s oil fields.  Invading Iraq in the 21st century gave the U.K. another chance at controlling that oil.

The SIS documents also show that Richard Dearlove, then boss of the intelligence service, was concerned about the legality of the invasion. He wanted the input of “Government law officers to provide assurances of legality (there has been a serious problem here).”

If you need more proof that the U.K. was in the Iraq invasion for the oil, just compare how many oil contracts went to U.S. companies, to how many went to British companies.

Chinese upset over Hillary Clinton’s “fools errand” comment

“It is inappropriate for anyone to relate or compare China to some west Asian and north African nations facing turmoil, and any attempt to direct the Middle East turmoil to China and change the development path chosen by the Chinese people will be futile.”-Jiang Yu, Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman

This comment was in response to an interview of U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.  An online poll in China showed that 86% of Chinese respondents felt Clinton had insulted China.

In an exclusive interview with The Atlantic, Hillary Clinton said China’s policies are doomed to fail, she also said: “They’re worried, and they are trying to stop history, which is a fool’s errand. They cannot do it. But they’re going to hold it off as long as possible.” The “history” Clinton says China is trying to stop is the U.S. foreign policy of expansionism.  She may not know it, but her statement gives away the true attitude of U.S. leaders towards China.

What this is, is an escalation in the war of words between China and the U.S.  It’s also interesting that these statements were made before (by Clinton) and right after (by the Chinese) the U.S. and China signed an agreement to work together.

The Chinese are probably regretting signing the agreement, now that they know the true attitude of U.S. officials.

British intellegence officer says Tony Blair, and others, lied about the reasons for war with Iraq

“I am writing to comment on the position taken by Alastair Campbell during his evidence to you … when he stated that the purpose of the dossier was not to make a case for war; I and those involved in its production saw it exactly as that, and that was the direction we were given.”-Major General Michael Laurie, British military intelligence official

General Laurie says that Campell, and then U.K. Prime Minister Tony Blair, lied to the Chilcot Inquiry (Iraq war inquiry) when they testified that their Iraq dossier was not a case for war.  Laurie says he and other intelligence officials were directed to specifically make the Iraq dossier a case for war against Iraq.

Laurie says that Air Marshal Joe French, a Blair administration official,  continued to pressure  intelligence officials to produce a report that would justify war with Iraq.  He says Air Marshal French was getting frustrated by lack of evidence to justify war: “We could find no evidence of planes, missiles or equipment that related to WMD, generally concluding that they must have been dismantled, buried or taken abroad. There has probably never been a greater detailed scrutiny of every piece of ground in any country.”

TEPCo admits Fukushima Daiichi did indeed meltdown on 11 March.

Tokyo Electric Power Company now admits that meltdown occurred, at least with Reactor 1, on 11 March.  They base their claims on their most recent data.

That means high levels of toxic radiation have indeed been spewing from the plant for at least two months now.  There is concern that fuel rods in reactors 2 and 3 have also melted down.  TEPCo admits it could be the cause of the massive leaks of highly contaminated water coming from the the buildings.

The latest check of cesium levels in the ocean, show that Reactor 3 is pouring even more cesium into the ocean, than it was a few days ago.

TEPCo says that after the 9.0 quake, and then the tsunami, it took too long for back up power to start pumping coolant through the system; the meltdown had already occurred by 06:50 on 12 March.  The melted fuel rods were starting to crack the vessel when the coolant hit, which seems to have stopped, or slowed the melting process.  But the reactor vessels are now damaged enough to cause the water being pumped in to simply leak out, almost as fast as they can pump in the water.  Of course the water became highly contaminated.

Leaked UN report says Iran & China violated UN sactions against North Korea. Is this the “smoking gun” the U.S. is looking for?

In a suppossedly “leaked” United Nations report, Iran is accused of dealing with North Korea, for nuclear missile technology.  That violates UN sanctions against North Korea.

The report also suggests the deals were made through a third party, possibly China.

The report infers that Iran is trying to get nuclear weapons technology as well. It points out that North Korea’s nuclear program is mainly for weapons. The report is to be submitted to the UN Security Council.

This is obviously going to be used by the U.S. as the “smoking gun” reason for taking military action against Iran.

The problem with the accusations is that North Korea has a lousy record of ballistic missile tests, while Iran has enjoyed success with its own missile program.  So it’s probably not a case of Iran trying to get missile technology, but North Korea.

The other problem is that it doesn’t make sense that Iran and North Korea were going through China to do the deals.  China has much better missile technology, so why not deal directly with China?  It’s possible that China did not want to share its missile technology.

Also, if Iran was trying to get nuclear weapons technology, again, why not deal with the more reliable Chinese?

The panel of “experts” who put together the UN report included a representative from China, who reportedly refused to sign the report.

Mysterious radiation found in Japanese sewage plants and incinerators!

Just days after the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster began, in March, mysterious radioactive substances have been detected, and are still being detected, at sewage plants and incinerators around Japan.

The first case involves an incinerator in east Tokyo.  Ashes were found to be highly radioactive.  Unfortunately most of the ashes have already been recycled as building materials.  The radioactive isotope has not been identified.

Almost at the same time, sludge from sewage treatment plants in Tokyo also tested positive for radiation contamination.  Again, the isotope has not been identified.

Just this past week, in Maebashi, cesium contamination was found in incinerator ashes, sludge and molten slag, that were being processed at a water treatment plant.

Reactor 3 continues pouring cesium into the Pacific Ocean!

Fukushima Daiichi’s Reactor 3 is still pouring massive amounts of contamination into the Pacific Ocean.

Since Friday, cesium-134 and 137 have being detected at levels thousands of times above government safe limits.

So far Tokyo Electric Power Company says they can only monitor the radiation levels coming from Reactor 3.  It seems their hands are full with the meltdown of Reactor 1.

TEPCo obsessed with saving Reactor 1 despite active meltdown!

In a clear case of obsession, Tokyo Electric Power Company announced they will resume water injection in Fukushima Daiichi’s Reactor 1.

TEPCo officials say the water level is far too low, and they have confirmed that holes and cracks have formed in the reactor vessel, as a result of the meltdown.

A couple of days ago the Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency told TEPCo that it’s a waste of time to keep pumping in massive amounts of water, now that the reactor has melted down.  TEPCo continues to insist that if they pump in enough water, and connect a new cooling system, they can control the situation.

TEPCo will monitor their water injection plan for the next two days.

Evacuations of Fukushima underway!

Japan has ordered the mandatory evacuations of two towns in Fukushima Prefecture, 15 May, almost three days after it was reveled that Reactor 1, of Fukushima Daiichi nuke plant, was melting down.

Families with children kindergarten age or younger, and pregnant women, are the first to be evacuated.  At least 7,700 people will be evacuated from the small towns.  Local officials claim they have secured places for the families to stay.

Farmers are being given extra time so they can move their livestock.  The evacuation was ordered because of increased radiation levels in the towns.

former Blackwater founder setting up mercenary force in United Arab Emirates

New York Times reporting that former Blackwater founder, Erik Prince, has set up a mercenary force in U.A.E.  The force is mainly made up of Colombians, but includes South Africans, Germans, British and U.S. citizens.

United States officials say if the mercenary group does not have U.S. approval then the U.S. citizens involved could face criminal charges.

Reports say United Arab Emirates is using the mercenary force to build up its own military, in preparation for possible war with Iran.
