Sears & Kmart closing update, 24 July 2014: Rent still being paid on abandoned properties! Sears security cams used to post pics of women’s boobs! City officials want to kill profit making Kmart store, to build a road!

First there were six, soon they’ll be none!  The last Kmart in Brevard County, Florida, shutting down in September.

Sears surprises Colorado with unexpected shutdown.  Plans were to replace the Fort Collins Sears store and Auto Center with a smaller operation, but that plan has been killed as well.   The fiasco involves Alberta Development Partners, who will be getting $53-million USD in local tax money once it leases out 50% of tenant space in the rebuilt Foothills Mall.  The property developer/speculator admits the economy is so bad they can’t get the required 50% of available space leased out (as of April they were at 17%), so they want the tax money now.

A small Kmart in Madisonville, Kentucky, shutting down in October.  Many local yokels bemoaning the fact that Walmart is now the only store left in town!

It’s been revealed that the Banning, California, Kmart did not shutdown due to expired lease.  In fact, Sears Holdings is still paying rent for the property, and with 10 five year lease options Sears Holdings remains technically in charge of the property until 2065!  Banning city officials say the situation is making it almost impossible to find a new tenant for the property.

The city of Minneapolis wants to shutdown a successful 30 years old Kmart store.  Sears Holdings wants it kept open because it makes huge profits.  The city wants to tear down the store to make way for a new road (they claim they’ll be re-opening an old road that existed before the Kmart was built)!  City officials are pushing the New York based property owner to kick out Kmart.  There are other retail operations on the successful property that could be shutdown as well.

And now for something completely different:  A teenaged loss prevention employee, at a Sears store, was fired for using in-store security cams to capture zoomed in pics of women breastfeeding their infants, then posting them to his now deleted Twitter account.  Seems he had a lot of time on his hands keeping that Sears store safe.

Here’s the updated list of U.S. Sears/Kmart store closings since the end of 2011:

Exceptional Failed State: I’ve been warning, revised data shows there ain’t no U.S. Housing Market recovery! Welcome to the Death Spiral!

24 July 2014 (10:46 UTC-07 Tango)/26 Ramadan 1435/02 Mordad 1393/28 Xin-Wei 4712

If you’ve been following my U.S. Job Losses & Store Closings reports you’d have noticed that since 2013 I’ve been warning of a coming housing market crash, based on the fact that the Too Big to Jail bank/mortgage industry has been laying off thousands of their employees due to “declining mortgage applications”.

That can only mean declining home sales, and today’s newly released revised data proves it!  New homes sales are down, as is the median price for a new home, contrary to what all those main streamer news media ‘experts’ have been reporting.

The U.S. Department of Commerce has revised economic data for the first six months of 2014.  Month to month new home sales in January were revised to a plus 3.4%,  February was a minus 5.5%, March a minus 5.1%, April plus 3.7%, May plus 8.3%.

The month of June is still an estimate that will be revised in August, but at this point shows a minus 8.1% (when you compare to June 2013 it’s a minus 11.5%!).  The way things are going don’t be surprised if the June data is revised downward.

The net result is declining new home sales for the first half of 2014.  The biggest drop in sales was in the north eastern U.S.; a 20% crash just for June!  To make things worse, the supply of new homes for sale went up from the first six months of last year!

The biggest news is the drastic revision for May.  Originally it was ‘estimated’ that 504-thousand new homes were sold in May.  Turns out the actual number is 442-thousand.

June sales of existing homes went up only 2.6% (remember this is an ‘estimate’ to be revised with more hard-n-fast data, for August release), however prices for existing homes barely went up because the supply of available existing homes for sale hit a two high.  Basically there’s more supply than demand.

While the Too Big to Jail banks blame their mortgage industry job layoffs on crashing home loan demand, the Commerce Department blames crashing home sales on the Too Big to Jail banks making it harder for people to get home loans!  This is what’s called a vicious downward spiral, aka Death Spiral.

By the way, anybody who thinks the housing market has returned to pre-‘recession’ levels, think again.  In 2005 new home sales peaked at a monthly rate of nearly 1.4-million!  By 2010 new home sales were around 300-thousand per month.  Compare that to this June’s 406-thousand and then ask your exalted leaders “What economic recovery?”

500 block of East 71st Street: Two men shot and wounded, one is gut shot.

Despite the shootings in Chicago, compared to past years the violent crime rate is actually down!  Chicago now ranks 19th for overall violent crime, compared to other metropolitan areas of the United States!  That’s according to a study by Yale University.  The study looked at 48 years of crime in Chicago and concluded the crime rate is actually dropping.  The study was published towards the end of 2013.

The factual data is not stopping Obama regime puppets from meeting, privately, with community leaders to find a way to destroy the 2nd Amendment rights of U.S. citizens.

In one meeting a community leader pointed out that most city services are now offered over the internet only, but that most of the people in his community are so poor they can’t afford access to the internet.  Mmmm, sounds like the true problem is economic, not cheap already illegal guns!

The majority of victims are male. No arrests reported.

Once again, shooting victims were not armed, it’s as if the shooters are deliberately targeting unarmed people.

Police continue to insist most of the gun violence is caused by gang bangers, but have made few arrests. New anti-gun laws would not stop the shootings, because most guns used by gang bangers are already illegal!

Chicago, 14 – 18 July 2014

U.S. Job Losses & Store Closings 23 – 24 April 2014: “It’s the end of an iconic American brand!” No more Fender? More tech job cuts! ObamaCare attacking more schools! Going green killing more jobs!

Incomplete list of publicly announced layoffs & shutdowns.

British empire bank, Barclay’s, warned of massive global layoffs.  Some reports say as many as 20-thousand people could lose their jobs, including employees in the United States!

California:  In Los Angeles, corporate bankruptcy law firm now bankrupt busted themselves!  After 60 years Stutman Treister & Glatt shutdown, 25 jobs lost.  The law firm said it’s now far cheaper for corporations to get new loans, than to file for bankruptcy.

Connecticut:  In New Hartford, Arizona based guitar maker Fender is shutting down their last U.S. acoustic guitar factory!  After 47 years the Ovation factory will close in June, 46 jobs lost.  Production is now focused in Asian countries: “It’s the end of an iconic American brand!”-Richard Hall, former employee

Illinois: In McHenry, Modine Manufacturing shutting down their factory, 135 full time jobs lost!  Production being consolidated to other factories.

Indiana: MKM Distribution announced it will eliminate more than 80 jobs in June.  It’s blamed on crashing revenues.

Iowa: In Maquoketa, after 44 years the Banowetz Antique Mall shutdown.

Kentucky: In Louisville, Jefferson County Public Schools officials blames disappointing student performance for why Myers Middle School (Junior High) must be closed.  Students consistently rank in the bottom 1% for the whole state!

Maine:  Going green is causing people to lose their jobs with Lincoln Paper and Tissue.  The company is spending $7.8-million USD to become more energy efficient, but they can only do it by eliminating an undisclosed number of employees.  Back in November a boiler explosion caused the paper company to layoff 200 employees!

Maryland: McCready Memorial Hospital began another round of layoffs.  The number of jobs cut were not reported.  Last year they killed dozens of healthcare jobs, and yes, it’s being blamed on Obama Care (Affordable Care Act).

Mississippi: Gulfport based Hancock Bank to shutdown 16 banks in Mississippi, Louisiana and Florida, despite profits.  It’s connected to their merger with Whitney bank.

Montana:  Stillwater Mining laid off 31 salaried employees, and they’re bribing 50 union workers to voluntarily quit.  Last year employees revealed that company officials were shifting focus to Canada and Argentina.

Nevada: MetaPower International laid off 14 employees, including many executives.  It’s blamed on crashing revenues.

New Jersey: In Bernardsville, after 68 years Diehl’s Jewelers shutdown: “It’s been a tough couple years. And it’s not just me.”-Kris Schmid, president

New York:  South Colonie Central Schools jacking up property taxes and eliminating a dozen jobs.  Upset parents don’t understand that Obama Care is jacking up insurance costs astronomically for schools.  School officials are hoping the federal and state government will kick in some extra money to help pay for their financial rape.

North Carolina:  North Carolina Central University eliminated 55 positions.

Ohio: Mansfield School Committee eliminated 149 positions and raised up front school fees for parents!  It’s blamed on declining tax revenues and increased insurance costs caused by Obama Care.   School officials say they are hopeful the federal government will kick in extra money for the next school year (yeah, keep dreaming).  Who said tech jobs were recession proof?  In Grove City, Dell computer’s contracted repair center, Pennsylvania based DecisionOne, laid off 23 employees.  It’s blamed on crashing revenues.   In Medina, Old Navy crappy clothing store shutdown.  Local news media said Old Navy officials refused to say why.

Oregon: In Belmont, The Blue Monk music venue shutdown.   It’s blamed on police harassment!   In Eugene, after 36 years Fletcher’s for Children shutdown.  The store owners blame the landlord for unreasonable rent.

Rhode Island:  Providence based Textron killing 750 jobs at it’s Beechcraft and Cessna aircraft factories!  575 of those job cuts will hit Kansas!

Texas: In Dallas, Obama Care killed off the Emeritus at Vickery Towers nursing home, 120 jobs lost!  Company officials said if it wasn’t for Obama Care they would’ve made needed upgrades to the nursing home.

West Virginia: Missouri based Patriot Coal killed 100 jobs!  Patriot Coal joins the growing number of coal mining operations saying it’s not worth it to mine coal anymore.

19 – 22 April 2014: “This is a dangerous plan…”

The U.S. Department of Labor (DoL) doesn’t count the hundreds of layoffs involving less than 50 people each, in its mass layoff reports. It also doesn’t count all the little ‘mom & pop’ businesses that shut down.

More proof God is evil: Israel kills 1 Palestinian child per hour! King’s Torah demands it! Israel demands U.S. taxpayers fork over $225-million to help them kill more Palestinians!

23 July 2014 (10:09 UTC-07 Tango)/25 Ramadan 1435/01 Mordad 1393/27 Xin-Wei 4712

The UN reports that over the past two days Israel has killed one child every hour!  Does that sound like Israel is targeting terrorists?  If you’ve read my other postings you’d know Israel does consider Palestinian children terrorists.

Other reports say Israel’s genocide is now killing one Palestinian civilian every five minutes!

For more proof read the The King’s Torah (Torat Hamelech), Part One: Laws of Life and Death between Israel and the Nations.  It was published in 2009 by rabbi Yitzhak Shapira and Yosef Elitzur.  In it they justify Jews killing all non-Jews (Goyim).

And now zionist Israel is demanding U.S. Christian taxpayers send an additional $225-million USD to help them shoot down ineffective Palestinian rockets!

Israel Defense Forces officials have explained the failing of their expensive U.S. taxpayer funded Iron Dome anti-missile system on “missing parts”.  They want U.S. taxpayers to buy those “missing parts” at a price of $225-million.  The Iron Dome anti-missile system is shooting down only about 20% of the ineffective Palestinian rockets.

Fukushima – WIPP – Radiation update: U.S. RadNet system finally back on line? WIPP contractor gets $1.9-million taxpayer bonus! Secret nuke dumps revealed? TEPCo admits 280-billion Bq per hour spewing into environment! Chernobyl still contaminating Blueberries!

23 July 2014 (09:29 UTC-07 Tango)/25 Ramadan 1435/01 Mordad 1393/27 Xin-Wei 4712

Out of Belarus and Russia, reports that blueberries harvested near former radiation contamination zones of the former Soviet Chernobyl nuke plant are still contaminated with cesium, almost three decades after the nuclear disaster!

The former contamination zones had been declared safe after tests for surface radiation showed radiation levels were down.  However, after blueberries were still testing for high levels of cesium-137 (in 2013), a test of of the soil showed contamination was still high underground, at root level.

Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCo) admits that ongoing debris removal at Japan‘s GE designed Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, is spreading trillions of becquerels (Bq) of radiation!   This is after a secret government investigation was revealed by Japanese media last week.

That hidden investigation revealed that rice fields outside radiation no go zones were being contaminated by cesium dust from the demolition of the building housing reactor Unit 3.  Today TEPCo is revealing it’s far far worse than that!

TEPCo officials now estimate that the demolition of the damaged reactor Unit 3 building, which started in 2013, has spread 1.1-trillion Bq of radiation, or 280-billion Bq per hour!  Now realize that’s from just one of at least four reactor buildings that are scheduled for demolition!

But wait, there’s more!  TEPCo admits that even without demolition of Fukushima Daiichi’s reactor Unit 3 building, the nuclear disaster reactors are still spewing 10-million Bq per hour of radiation!

People still living in Fukushima Prefecture are now panicking as TEPCo is about to start demolition of the top of the building housing reactor Unit 1.

If anybody was trying to use the United States RadNet system to monitor radiation, since the March 2011 Fukushima Daiichi disaster, they discovered the system was down.  Yesterday, the Environmental Protection Agency announced they’ve completed upgrades to the system, and it is supposedly up and running.

By coincidence, 20% of all RadNet monitors were off line when Fukushima Daiichi exploded.  One reason is that filters in RadNet had not been changed for months.  The EPA relies on unpaid volunteers to change the filters, which must be done twice per week!

The EPA says 92.9% of monitors are now operating, and they’ve added eight new monitors with plans to add eight more.  At this point South Carolina is the only state with no RadNet, but they are supposed to be getting one soon.   But don’t go cheering the EPA.

Reports say the EPA is also planning on increasing government limits on the amount of radiation exposure considered dangerous to humans!   A Forbes report said “…James Conca, senior scientist for the Institute for Energy and the Environment at New Mexico State University, believes the radiation emissions permitted by EPA ‘may increase more than tenfold.'”

In New Mexico, to add insult to injury it’s been revealed that five days after a salt truck fire in the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) the Department of Energy gave Nuclear Waste Partnership a $1.9-million USD bonus, for “excellence”!

It turns out no action has been taken against any management official at WIPP: “No federal or contractor official has lost their job, been transferred, been moved off the WIPP contract or otherwise held accountable. No leadership has changed at the federal level. No company has lost a contract.”-Martin Schneider, ExchangeMonitor Publications

Former Atomic Energy Commission employees testified in court that the remains of the radioactive compressor building for the Huntington Pilot Plant was buried without being ‘decontaminated’ in a now secret Piketon, Ohio, landfill!

One employee suffered incurable radiation damage to his hands during the process of burying the ‘hot’ building.  The site was leveled in 1978-79.  Other employees described the contamination in the compressor building as “green stuff”.

Employees also testified that when they showed up for work, everyday they would have to clear the work site of fresh dead animals.   Another employee stated “The entire INCO facility was a DOE facility in that it processed , under contract, nickel scrap from the various atomic facilities, such as Puducah, Fernald, Portsmouth and other places… making each and every employee at INCO subject to the radioactive pollution that occurred . [We also ] confirm that there were releases of poisonous gases daily at nighttime at that facility and they would completely destroy the vegetation…”

More proof God is evil: Israel bombs UN school, as UN inspection teams arrived! Jews call children “terrorists”! Christian Red Cross working with Israel to destroy hospitals! news media vomiting lies!

22 July 2014 (17:01 UTC-07 Tango)/24 Ramadan 1435/31 Tir 1393/26 Xin-Wei 4712

“We have no place to hide!  No place for the children and the women! They are inhumane! They are acting like an animal; they are targeting every home and family in Gaza!”-Basman Alashi, El Wafa Hospital

Alashi (Elashi), the director of El Wafa Hospital, accused the Christian Red Cross of working with Israel Defense Forces to  destroy the hospital: “….the Red Cross is cooperating with the Israelis to destroy the hospital!  I’m going to take you, the Red Cross and the Israelis to the International Criminal Court!”

It was Red Cross officials that told Alashi that his hospital was about to be destroyed by the IDF.

“The speed with which this has happened is staggering. The number of displaced persons doubled in one day…..we are very concerned. These men, women and children are relying on us to provide them with shelter, and the reality is that UNRWA only had relief supplies in stock for about 35-thousand people.”-Robert Turner, UNRWA Gaza

According to United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) more than 100-thousand Palestinian families are using at least 60 UN schools as evacuation shelters, as they have nowhere to run to (Gaza Strip is actually a giant Israeli run concentration camp)!

Israel has just targeted a UN run school in Gaza Strip, right after giving UN officials clearance to inspect the building!  According to UNRWA officials the IDF had approved a UN inspection team to go to the school, but once the inspectors arrived Israeli Merkavas (Chariot) started shooting at them: “Yesterday we got reports that it was shelled and so today we sent our guys down to investigate and see which side the fire came from. They went down there with Israeli clearance, and while they were there, they came under Israeli shelling!”-unnamed UNRWA official quoted in French news media

Evil Christian U.S. main stream news media are trying to convince the genocide loving public that the UN schools are where rockets are being launched from!  By the way you main streamer ass-holes, the UNWRA confirmed the ‘school’ where rockets were found was one of dozens of UN schools shutdown and vacated for summer vacation!

The UNRWA operates 200 schools in Gaza Strip.

The United Nations also reports that more than 80% of Palestinian casualties are civilians.  Since the IDF launched their ground assault the United Nations Children’s Fund reports that 121 Palestinian children have been killed just by IDF Merkava tanks!  At this point Israel has made more than 3200 airstrikes on Gaza Strip, almost all civilian targets!  More than 700 Palestinian killed, more than 4-thousand wounded, more than 100-thousand made homeless since 08 July 2014!

Yesterday, Israeli Merkavas targeted the Al-Aqsa Hospital, killing patients, nurses and doctors.  Israeli goat penis sucker, Mark Regev, said hospitals are targets because the Israeli government believes they are hideouts and rocket launching bases for terrorists!

If you use the rationale of Israeli officials then there are no civilians in Gaza Strip; all people in Gaza Strip and West Bank are terrorists!

“I challenge anyone in the international community to prove that. There are no weapons in our hospital!  We are ready for any inspection!  Any international organization can come and make sure we have nothing in our hospital.  They [zionists] are professional liars and killers!  No hospitals are safe in Gaza. If we move them, there is no safe hospital in Gaza!”-Medhat Abbas,  Al-Aqsa Hospital

To prove that Christian/Jew news media are liars, Israel’s highest rated TV news station, Channel Two, admitted (“retracted”) on 20 July 2014 that it lied about UN ambulances were being used to traffic Palestinian Mujahideen.  This was an attempt to justify IDF attacks on ambulances.  Israel’s Channel Two has a history of making false claims about the United Nations and Palestinians, and then later on “retracting” those statements after the damage is done.

Even though Israel is targeting civilians and bombing hospitals and UN schools the ass-hole UN boss, Ban Ki-moon, offered condolences to Beyamin Nut-job-yahoo and criticized Palestinians for defending themselves!

More proof God is evil: Pope of Anglican Church caught drugging up her own race horse? Bush family connection!

22 July 2014 (15:47 UTC-07 Tango)/24 Ramadan 1435/31 Tir 1393/26 Xin-Wei 4712

It’s been revealed that the Queen of England’s race horse, Estimate, failed a drug test last month.   Buckingham Palace officials claim the failed drug test was the result of contaminated feed!

This is not the first time the Queen has been involved with illegal drugs: Queen of England is a drug dealer, U.K. bank regulator says so!

The race horse issue now connects the evil Queen, who is also the Pope of the Anglican Communion (aka Church of England), with the Bush dynasty in the United States.

For decades the Queen and the Bush family met (and still meets) at U.S. horse ranches, under the guise of scouting potential race horses for the Queen’s stable.   The most famous meeting place is Land’s End in Kentucky.

Incomplete list of publicly announced layoffs & shutdowns.

Alabama: The John Essex School shutting down before next school year.  Student population has dropped to less than 100.  School officials say families are getting the hell out of the country: “The enrollment just kept dwindling. This is the trend….Families are moving away and the families aren’t as big as they used to be.”-Luke Hallmark

(It must be noted that while researching the job losses I discovered that many of the companies killing jobs in California were, at the same time, advertising that they were hiring!)

Connecticut: The city of Hartford warned of the elimination of 99 jobs.  On top of that city officials must jack up property taxes, and that’s after $18.1-million USD in spending cuts.  That’s because  Obama Care (Affordable Care Act) is causing an $18.6-million  increase in retirement and health insurance costs for city employees!

Illinois: In Dixon, CenturyLink shutting down its office in May.  It’s blamed on competition.  In LaPorte, ATI Casting to begin shutting down in June, 120 jobs lost! Company officials blame the suck ass economy.  ATI has also shutdown operations in Indiana.

Massachusetts:  HealthAlliance Hospital eliminating seven full time jobs.  It’s blamed on Obama Care, nurses say Obama Care is going to kill people: “This is a dangerous plan……Our patients have the most to lose if this plan is allowed to be implemented.”-Kerry Beaulac, oncology nurse  Burbank Urgent Care Unit

Minnesota: Upscale Fresh Seasons Market grocery store shutdown two stores, one in Victoria and one in Minnetonka.   The arrogant owner admitted there isn’t enough rich people to make their format work: “The idea was that it was supposed to be an upscale market, to be able to offer fresh goods and unique ingredients to people and this great shopping experience. We didn’t get a big draw.”-Tom Wartman

Missouri: In Saint Louis, taxsucker Boeing Defense, Space & Security announced they will bribe an undisclosed number of employees to voluntarily quit.  In Ozora, God refuses to stop 115 years old Sacred Heart Catholic School from shutting down.  Only 15 students enrolled for the 2014-15 school year!

North Carolina:  NewBridge Bank laid off 22 employees. Bank officials claim it’s due to lack of customers, but could it be because of their recent merger with CapStone Bank, and their takeover of Security Savings Bank last year?

Ohio: In Riverside, Ponderosa Steakhouse restaurant shutdown without notice.  Company officials blamed the property owner for jacking up the rent.  They also shutdown a restaurant in Urbana in December.  In 2008 Ohio based Ponderosa and Texas based Bonanza restaurants merged (controlled by Homestyle Dining).

Oregon:  Washington County based sportswear maker Nike laid off at least 55 people in Hong Kong and United States.

Pennsylvania: In Edwardsville, Just Cabinets Furniture & More shutdown.

Virginia:  In Lightfoot, after 40 years The Candy Store shutdown.

16 – 18 April 2014: “We have a perfect storm….”

The U.S. Department of Labor (DoL) doesn’t count the hundreds of layoffs involving less than 50 people each, in its mass layoff reports. It also doesn’t count all the little ‘mom & pop’ businesses that shut down.

“Our ideals and principles, as well as our national security……..That’s what makes America different. That’s what makes us exceptional.”-Barack Obama, 10 September 2013

World War 3 Afghanistan, 09 – 12 July 2014: Coca-Cola making U.S. National Guard sick? More proof U.S. government killing off National Guard vets!

Ghor Province: In Char Sada District, official government sources report that hundreds of Mujahideen took control of the district for a few hours, before being pushed back.

Kabul Province: In Kabul City, a magnetic bomb stuck to a police vehicle exploded killing one cop and wounding another.  President Hamid Karzai told U.S. Secretary of failed State, John Kerry, that despite the failed elections he will step down on 02 August 2014.  Kerry then went on to interfere with the so called “successful” (as stated by Obama and the UN) ‘democratic’ election process, ordering the opposing candidates to make a compromise in their disagreements, which of course they did as they are both Obama regime puppets.  The Afghan Ministry of Defense reported that over the past four days hundreds of people have been killed or wounded in battles all across the country.

Kandahar Province: In Kandahar City, Mujahideen attacked a government compound.  Provincial officials report that at least 15 people were killed, 14 wounded.  In Panjwai District, a family of eight was killed when they drove over a landmine.

Before, we didn’t have cases of militia killing women and children, not even once a year. This year we have already seen several cases.”-Mojeeb Wafa , head of a women support NGO in the province

Nangarhar Province: In Jalalabad City, a kamikaze bomber attacked a NATO convoy.  An undisclosed number of people were wounded.

Paktia Province: In Ahmad Khel District, two people killed, three wounded, when a landmine exploded.

Parwan Province:  The Czech Republic revealed a fifth NATO solider died from wounds received from a recent attack by a kamikaze bomber.  The U.S. Army is investigating reports that one of Coca-Cola’s bottle water brands is making U.S. personnel in Afghanistan, sick.  The brand name is Kinley.   A militiaman with  National Guard’s 252nd Engineering Company (Pennsylvania U.S.A.), stationed at the Bagram airbase, sent an email to WSB-TV (Georgia U.S.A.) saying “about 75 percent of our company has been sick and I’m sure it has affected others. Some had fevers, explosive diarrhea.”

Nearly 100 militiamen of the Army National Guard’s 290th Military Police Company (Maryland U.S.A.) welcomed home from Afghanistan.

80 militiamen of the Army National Guard’s Battery A, 1st Battalion, 158th Field Artillery, 45th Field Artillery Brigade (Oklahoma U.S.A.) returned from Afghanistan.  They were replaced by Battery B.

Eight militiamen of the Army National Guard’s Det 55 (Hawaii U.S.A.) returned from Afghanistan.

Parents of U.S. National Guard veterans, who killed themselves, blasted the U.S. Congress and the VA.  They document how the Veterans Affairs and U.S. government is pushing vets to suicide: “Turn away a veteran of some 400 combat missions in Iraq because he’s no longer active in the National Guard.

Then turn him away because he was previously in the Guard and refer him to a military facility where he’s promptly referred back to the VA.

Now tell him to wait for a postcard with his appointment time.

Either don’t send that postcard, or send it to the wrong address.

Refuse to refer him outside the Veterans Affairs health-care system.

When he finally does get his first VA date with a psychiatrist, have that doctor inform him that he’s retiring and won’t be able to see him a second time. Emphasize that he will, however, be seen by another doctor — just as soon as one becomes available.

Never do get back in touch, and let him run up considerable debt getting what help he can in the private sector.

And, finally, watch that veteran sprawled on the floor, crying in the corner of a VA hospital where he’s gone while having flashbacks and begging to be admitted. Refuse to see him yet again, but assure him he’s free to stick around until he feels well enough to drive himself home.”-Charleston Daily Mail
