More Fukushima Fallout! Canada confirms spike in radiation! Tritium to be flooded into Pacific Ocean, on purpose! Victims being screwed over, someone stop TEPCo!

05 December 2013 (22:30 UTC-07 Tango 04 December 2013)/01 Safar 1435/14 Azar 1392/03 Jia-Zi (11th month) 4711

“You cannot keep storing the water forever. We have to make choice comparing all risks involved.”-Tanaka Shunichi, with Japan’s Nuclear Regulation Authority, commenting on why deadly tritium will be intentionally flooded into the Pacific

The International Atomic Energy Agency is supporting the plan to purposely release tritium into the Pacific Ocean.  Juan Carlos Lentijo, of the IAEA, gave this explanation: “…what we are trying to say here is to consider this as one of the options to contribute to a good balance of risks and to stabilize the facility for the long term.”

Officials from the IAEA and Japan’s NRA, admitted that at least 700-thousand metric tons of radioactive water has been poured into the Pacific Ocean since 2011.  That contaminated water contained cesium, iodine, strontium and tritium.

Tritium has a half life of about 12.4 years (it’s still a threat after 12.4 years).  It can be absorbed through skin, inhaled or ingested when you eat contaminated food or drink contaminated water.

Canadian officials have admitted that on 20 March 2011, there was a huge spike in radiation readings on the Pacific coast of Canada.  This data was apparently kept secret until now, however, a journalist reported towards the end of 2011 that Canadian radiation detection sites recorded iodine-131 levels “…nearly 1,000 times background levels in the air at Resolute Bay, Nunavut.”

Keep in mind those radiation levels were after the Fukushima Daiichi  airborne radiation plume had traveled across the Pacific Ocean.  Back in 2011 Health Canada, which is in charge of radiation readings, continued to downplay such reports and said there was no health risk.

To add insult to injury, the Japanese government is limiting victims of the ongoing Fukushima Daiichi disaster.  Japan’s Diet is giving victims ten years to sue for damages.  The arrogant politicians think they are being generous because that’s an increase from the previous three year limit!  Remember, Tokyo Electric Power Company says the ongoing disaster, I mean “decommissioning process”, will last at least 40 years!

Nuclear power analysts say TEPCo is full of shit and needs to be stopped: “With the sheer number of things that are going wrong, they should be more openly bringing in help. TEPCo is a nuclear power producer, not a cleanup operation. There are people with expertise in decommissioning reactors, and they need to be brought in whether they are Japanese, European or American. Every time they have a problem, they come up with a solution that takes a long time to bring in, and then doesn’t even solve the problem!”-Ken Buesseler, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute

Victims should be given indefinite time to sue for damages!

More Fukushima Fallout: More proof reactors damaged BEFORE earthquake & tsunami hit! Dozens of ‘Atomic bombs’! Main streamer news media covering it up!

19 November 2013 (00:42 UTC-07 Tango)/15 Muharram 1435/28 Aban 1392/17 Gui-Hai (10th month) 4711

Today, Japan’s NHK (Nippon Housou Kyoukai/Japan Broadcasting Corporation) reporting that Tokyo Electric Power Company has discovered that at least 80 spent fuel rods, in the GE designed Reactor 1 spent fuel pool, are damaged.  TEPCo also says they were damaged prior to the 11 March 2011 quake and tsunami, however, they don’t know how they became damaged.

Last week TEPCo revealed that the spent fuel rods for the GE designed Reactor 4, at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear facility, were already damaged prior to the 11 March 2011 quake and tsunami!

But wait there’s more!  The first Reactor 4 fuel rods were damaged during transfer back in 1982!  Then in 2010, more Reactor 4 fuel rods were damaged, also while being transferred!

For some reason main streamer Japanese media didn’t run with story when it came out last week.  It was a local Fukushima newspaper that broke the story, then it was picked up by Reuters.

Reactor 4 was already powered down when the 11 March 2011 quake and tsunami hit.

Reactor 4 spent fuel pool has about 400 metric tons of fuel rods.  The rods are held in racks, containing 50 to 70 fuel rods each.  Don’t think because they are “spent” fuel rods they aren’t dangerous, each rack has the potential explosive power of 10 Hiroshima atomic bombs!

Stupid main streamer U.S. media continues to blame tsunami for “man made” disaster!

More Fukushima Fallout: Robot confirms containment vessel breach! Stupid main streamer U.S. media continues to blame tsunami for “man made” disaster!

13 November 2013 (13:11 UTC-07 Tango)/09 Muharram 1435/22 Aban 1392/11 Gui-Hai (10th month) 4711

For the first time since March 2011, an inspection of Reactor 1’s containment area was made.  A robot was used as radiation levels will kill all humans (1.8 sieverts per hour).

Workers using the robot discovered two holes in Reactor 1’s containment vessel, both are pouring out contaminated cooling water at high rates.  This is the mystery source of contaminated water leaks, as I’ve postulated in prior postings.

Tokyo Electric Power Company officials down played the holes saying they were probably caused by external debris.  Yeah right, TEPCo has lied many times before!  Inspectors are now even more sure that Reactors 2 & 3 have breached containment vessels as well (as I’ve been postulating).

Meanwhile, back in the dumbed down United States, I’m getting tired of hearing main streamer news sources continually saying the GE designed reactors at Fukushima Daiichi were “damaged” by the quake and tsunami.  Back in July 2012 a Japanese investigation concluded that the meltdowns are man made: “The accident was not a natural disaster but was obviously a man made disaster.”-Fukushima Nuclear Accident Independent Investigation Commission

More Fukushima Fallout: IAEA says Japanese government promises on decontamination can not be achieved!

21 October 2013 (12:42 UTC-07 Tango)/16 Dhu’l-Hijja 1434/29 Mehr 1392/17 Ren-Xu (9th month) 4711

The Japanese government has been promising the people of Japan that radiation contamination from Fukushima Daiichi would be reduced to one millisievert!  Today the International Atomic Energy Agency said that was impossible!

The IAEA spent the past week investigating the ongoing decontamination efforts at the GE designed nuclear reactors and basically concluded the current containment and cleanup efforts are a joke!

In their preliminary report, the IAEA said the government of Japan, and Tokyo Electric Power Company, are not communicating honestly with the public.

Also, Juan Carlos Lentijo, who heads the IAEA team, suggested at a press conference that radiation measurements are not being taken in accordance with international standards. Lentijo believes a major problem with the Japanese government is its inability to establish priorities: “In other words, we have to make decisions on how much are we going to spend in decontamination, how much in reconstruction of infrastructure etc.”

It will be two months before the IAEA releases their final report.

More Fukushima Fallout: Strontium spreading!

21 October 2013 (04:25 UTC-07 Tango)/16 Dhu’l-Hijja 1434/29 Mehr 1392/17 Ren-Xu (9th month) 4711

After Typhoon Wipha blew through Japan, Tokyo Electric Power Company reporting spreading contamination due to heavy rain.

TEPCo is now reporting that eleven ridiculously short barriers around the leaking contaminated water storage tank farms, are overflowing with rainwater.  Rainwater overflowing six barriers is testing positive with strontium contamination, 71 times the government safe limits!

The barriers are only 30 centimeters (11.8 inches) high!  TEPCo subcontracted workers also found highly radioactive water in drainage ditches, that lead to the Pacific Ocean.

For the past two years TEPCo had ordered that during rain storms the drain pipes on the barriers be opened to allow the rainwater to run out.  However, in August this year is was discovered that rainwater was becoming contaminated after running off the water storage tanks.  Since then the drainage pipes are kept closed, and rainwater is pumped into small tanks.

TEPCo admitted their water pumps could not keep up with the latest heavy rainfall.  Not only that, but it turns out the small water tanks they’re using are too small, as one tank recently overflowed while being filled, for hours before anybody noticed.

On 16 October, Japanese news media reported that water in a drainage ditch contained 1400 becquerels (bq) of radiation per liter.  The day before there was only 19 bq!

On 18 October, Japanese media reported radiation suddenly skyrocketing in groundwater test wells.  As much as 400-thousand bq per liter of radiation was detected in one well.  More than 6-thousand times higher than levels detected the day before, in the same well!

Another typhoon is expected to hit Japan this week.

In related news, fishermen in the area have decided to resume fishing despite the never ending contamination of the Pacific Ocean.  They claim the fish they’ve caught are not contaminated.

More Fukushima Fallout: UN says radiation exposure worse than first reported!

13 October 2013 (05:10 UTC-07 Tango)/08 Dhu’l-Hijja 1434/21 Mehr 1392/09 Ren-Xu (9th month) 4711

Recently, Tokyo Electric Power Company reported detecting cesium in the Pacific Ocean, in an area previously free of the isotope!

For the 68th Session of the UN General Assembly, the Scientific Committee on the Effects of Atomic Radiation reported that the initial radiation exposure to humans around Fukushima Daiichi, back in 2011, was at least 20% higher than what TEPCo and the Japanese government reported!

The report stated that “…severe core damage to three of the six nuclear reactors…resulted in the release, over a prolonged period, of very large
amounts of radioactive material into the environment.”

The UNSCEAR investigation discovered that TEPCo and the Japanese government was not able to directly measure certain isotopes, such as radioactive iodine and cesium, in their radiation exposure assessments.  The thousands of employees at Fukushima Daiichi suffered the highest radiation contamination, higher than what the official Japanese government reports say.

The major problem with the Japanese reports of exposure levels is that they are purely “estimates”.  The UNSCEAR pointed out that there were no direct radiation measuring available at Fukushima Daiichi in 2011, and therefore corporate and government officials based exposure on “various models”.

(as I wrote back in 2011, they were guessing!)

The UNSCEAR added that “…low-level releases into the ocean were still ongoing in May 2013.”

More Fukushima Fallout: Contracted “throwaway” workers burning out! Being blamed for leaks!

09 October 2013 (12:17 UTC-07 Tango)/04 Dhu’l-Hijja 1434/17 Mehr 1392/05 Ren-Xu (9th month) 4711

“…..if even the workers who are risking their lives are demoralized and have no trust in TEPCo…….why should the Japanese citizens or international public at large have any confidence in the Japanese government or TEPCo?”Dave Lochbaum, UCS Nuclear Safety Project

Japan’s Nuclear Regulatory Authority is blaming crashing worker morale for increasing radiation leaks. However, that low worker morale can be traced right to Tokyo Electric Power Company, and the elitist attitude of the entire nuclear industry in Japan (remember, an elitist Bilderberger recently took over TEPCo’s public relations and safety operations: “..radiation is scary. It’s like magic, it’s mystical…”-Lady Barbara Judge).

The majority of TEPCo’s workers at the melting down Fukushima Daiichi nuke plant are contracted and subcontracted, with little or no training.  I’ve seen documentaries that show that some subcontracted nuke workers, in Japan, are paid even less than the standard minimum wage with no benefits, many never finished high school.  It’s like running your nuclear power factory with illegal migrant farm workers.

In June 2011, Reuters revealed that Japan’s nuke industry workers are considered the lowest of the low, even an ‘untouchable’ class in Japan known as “throwaways” by their elitist employers: “This is an unfortunate thing to say, but the nuclear industry has long relied on people at the lowest level of Japanese society.”-Fujii Kazunori, retired nuclear project manager

Back in August 2012, the Japanese Labor Ministry warned there were not enough “qualified” nuclear plant workers in Japan.

Just last month, the Japanese Health Ministry reported that white blood cell counts for workers at Fukushima Daiichi were up.  That’s an indicator of cancer. And in the past three months there’s been increasing incidents were workers were contaminated directly with radioactive water.

Gee, I wounder why workers at Fukushima Daiichi are so demoralized?

More Fukushima Fallout: Incompetent untrained workers spill 37 million becquerels of beta radiation!

09 October 2013 (01:13 UTC-07 Tango)/04 Dhu’l-Hijja 1434/17 Mehr 1392/05 Ren-Xu (9th month) 4711

Tokyo Electric Power Company, and Japan’s Nuclear Regulation Authority, report that workers removing pipes, removed the wrong pipe and spilled hundreds of tons of water contaminated with 37-million becquerels per liter of beta radiation!

Six workers are contaminated and are under medical observation.

It was also discovered that gaps in the bolt together water storage tanks, that are leaking hundreds of tons of contaminated water, are the result of major corrosion caused by radiation.  Inspectors believe that contaminated water leaking around the bolts caused the corrosion.

More Fukushima Fallout: New 200-thousand becquerel leak blamed on continued comedy of errors by TEPCo! Local government taking matter into their own hands!

03 October 2013 (11:51 UTC-07 Tango)/28 Dhu ‘l-Qa’da 1434/11 Mehr 1392/29 Ren-Xu (8th month) 4711

On 02 October 2013 another contaminated water storage tank, at Fukushima Daiichi, overflowed water containing 200-thousand becquerels of beta radiation per liter!  TEPCo officials say the water got into the Pacific Ocean.  The Japanese government’s safe limit for radioactive water being released into the ocean is 30 becquerels per liter.

Continued incompetence on the part of Tokyo Electric Power Company, and its subcontractors, is being blamed for the most recent radiation leaks into the Pacific Ocean.

It turns out that the contaminated water storage tanks are not only built with bolt together panels that did not seal properly, and not only were they built on the hill upstream of the reactors, and not only do the majority of tanks lack gauges to measure water levels, but some of the tanks are tilted!

Yesterday’s 200-thousand bq leak occurred in one of five tanks that are connected by pipes.  The tanks are built on a slope.  One of the tanks is set lower than the others, and is tilted.  This is the tank that overflowed.

It is also becoming clear that the geniuses at TEPCo never took into account that they would have to deal with rain and groundwater (and snow) exacerbating the radiation contamination problem from the ongoing slow burn melt downs.  They’ve admitted that their contracted employees are spending a lot of unexpected time dealing with rain and groundwater issues.

Regarding the four metric ton water leak on 01 October; not only has TEPCo revised the radiation levels upward, but now they say it was closer to five metric tons spilled.  TEPCo officials are also blaming their contracted (and inadequately trained) employees.  They say the employees misunderstood their instructions and pumped the contaminated rainwater into storage tanks that were too small.

The prefectural government of Fukushima is so fed up with TEPCo’s lack of progress and honesty, as well as being fed up with the failed state national government, that they are taking radiation matter into their own hands.

Governor Sato Yuhei says they will conduct their own radiation monitoring of the Pacific Ocean.  The decision was made at an emergency meeting, and will start today.  They suspect that a large drainage pipe is flowing highly radioactive water into the ocean.

More Fukushima Fallout: TEPCo revises radiation levels, upward! TEPCo tries Red Herring trick?

02 October 2013 (12:01 UTC-07 Tango)/27 Dhu ‘l-Qa’da 1434/10 Mehr 1392/28 Ren-Xu (8th month) 4711

Tokyo Electric Power Company has revised leaked radiation levels, reported just yesterday.  TEPCo reported that in September at least four metric tons of highly contaminated rainwater overflowed from a storage tank, into the ocean.  They initially reported the radiation levels at 160 becquerels per liter, which is five times the government limits for discharging radioactive water into the Pacific.

Turns out that was the level of radiation outside the storage tank immediately after the rain storms hit.  TEPCo is now reporting that the storage tank itself contains 390 becquerels per liter of radiation, mostly strontium!    TEPCo officials say they don’t understand what caused the drastic increase in radiation levels.

This revelation comes after TEPCo asked Japan’s Nuclear Regulation Authority to approve the restart of reactors at Kashiwazaki-Kariwa in Niigata Prefecture.  NRA officials responded by implying that TEPCo was trying a Red Herring tactic to distract from the ongoing disaster at Fukushima Daiichi.

TEPCo officials claimed they had “learned hard lessons” from Fukushima Daiichi, but government NRA officials think otherwise.  NRA Chairman Tanaka Shunichi said TEPCo demonstrated insufficient knowledge of radioactive materials, and was being irresponsible in asking for restart of its other nuke reactors.
