The U.S. Department of Labor (DoL) reported that U.S. corporations announced 1337 “mass layoff actions” in March! At least 127939 people affected. (a mass layoff involves 50 or more employees, so it doesn’t count the hundreds of layoffs involving less than 50 people each. it also doesn’t count all the little ‘mom & pop’ businesses that shut down)
The DoL also reported that total job openings dropped 4.3%. For every job opening there were three people competing for it.

The U.S. state of Mississippi is being sued by two civil rights groups over inhumane conditions at a private for profit corporate run prison for mentally ill convicts.
The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) describe conditions that perpetually puts prisoners at “grave risk of death and loss of limbs”.
The East Mississippi Correctional Facility is run by Centerville, Utah, based Management & Training Corporation (MTC). MTC was founded by Mormon Robert L. Marquardt in 1981.
An 83 page complaint alleges that beatings, rapes and riots are common in the MTC run prison. Cells do not have working lights or toilets. Prisoners are denied medical care (one of the most common complaints about all privately run prisons). One prisoner went blind because he was denied his glaucoma medication. Another prisoner lost part of a finger after getting gangrene.

The lawsuit is targeted towards the state of Mississippi, as they were the ones who created the situation. MTC took over operations of the East Mississippi Correctional Facility in June 2012 (up ’till that point it was run by another evil corporate prison outfit known as GEO).
Here’s a snippet of MTC’s evil track record:
In 2001, the MTC run Borallon Correctional Centre, in Queensland Australia, was found to be full of illegal drugs. In Texas, at the MTC run Giles W. Dalby Correctional Facility, prisoners filed a lawsuit claiming inadequate medical care, food, rehabilitation programs and legal supplies.
In 2003, MTC was sued by a prisoner after an MTC prison guard at the Bradshaw State Jail, in Texas, cut off two of the prisoner’s fingertips. And in California, an MTC run prison in Riverside County was the site of a huge race riot. 150 prisoners rioted for 90 minutes, two were killed. Somehow the prisoners had weapons made from barbecue skewers, meat cleavers, table and chair legs, two-by-fours, mop and broom handles. MTC prison guards had to wait for an officer to show up with the key to the guards’ weapons arsenal, before being able to put down the riot. The prison was permanently shut down.
In 2004, MTC so upset the prison guards at the Borallon Correctional Centre (Australia), that the guards began locking up prisoners and walking off the job. Prison guards said MTC did not pay them a living wage.
May 2004, it was revealed by the U.S. Department of Justice (DoJ) that Lane McCotter, an executive with MTC, was put in charge of Iraqi prisons, including Abu Ghraib. It was also revealed that McCotter was forced to resign as director of the Utah Department of Corrections in 1997, after a mentally ill prisoner was killed (almost immediately after his resignation McCotter was hired by MTC). McCotter was part of a four man team of contractors sent to Iraq to oversee the U.S. operation of Iraqi prisons. They all denied any connection to what happened at Abu Ghraib under their watch.
Also in May 2004, a Senator from New Mexico, as well as the the New Mexico Corrections Department, accused MTC of denying medical care for inmates at the Santa Fe County jail. It turns out that the U.S. DoJ investigated New Mexico’s claims, and filed their own 36 page report documenting inhumane conditions caused by MTC and Lane McCotter (yet they still hired him to go to Iraq).
In 2006, Canadian officials declared the MTC run Central North Correctional Centre a failure and returned the prison to direct government control. The failure included the murders and ‘accidental’ deaths of prisoners, prison fights, computer system crashes, prison guards refusing to work, and failing security systems all under MTC’s watch.
Also in 2006, it was revealed that MTC “left town” when they bagged on their operation of the Hood County Juvenile Detention Center, in Texas. According to county commissioner, Charles Baskett, MTC lost $1.2 million USD!
November 2007, four MTC employees at the Willacy Detention Center, Texas, were caught smuggling illegal immigrants into the U.S. using MTC vehicles!
July 2010, three prisoners escaped from the MTC run Arizona State Prison, in Kingman, because an alarm system between perimeter fences was not working, for nearly two years! The prisoners ended up killing two people.
June 2011, back at at the Willacy Detention Center, Texas, an MTC Security Officer was arrested for sexually assaulting a female prisoner.
According to a 2012 Associated Press (AP) investigation, MTC is one of three for profit corporate prison operators making big profits off increased illegal immigration detentions, and the U.S. taxpayer. Almost 50% of illegal immigrants being held by the federal government are housed in private for profit prisons. The AP investigation revealed that those corporate prisons are not saving taxpayers any money, they’re actually costing taxpayers more money.
MTC manages at least 16 private correctional facilities in Arizona, California, New Mexico, Ohio, Texas and Idaho. Here’s what MTC officials said about their inhumane operations: “MTC believes in rehabilitating inmates by providing them with educational opportunities. For nearly a quarter century we have helped inmates improve their lives and to reestablish themselves as successful members of society.”
MTC is also the largest Job Corp contractor in the U.S.

Main streamer news media say the purpose of KKR Global is to identify and address potential problems with international investments, including technology trends and government policies. KKR Global’s website says their purpose is “Anticipating, understanding and knowing how to respond to emerging geopolitical and macro-economic trends as well as the impacts of revolutionary technological changes….”

Several reports over the past week stating that many of the empty shut down Sears and Kmarts are being turned into data storage/wireless communication centers/disaster centers!
Since 2010 more than 333 Sears/Kmart stores have been vacated. The plan to turn many of the empty stores into data centers is being headed by a newly created subsidiary of Sears Holdings, Ubiquity Critical Environments (UCE).
UCE is run by Sean Farney, a former boss of Microsoft’s Chicago data center. UCE was revealed by trade publication Data Center Knowledge.
One of the first UCE multi-tenant data centers will be created out of the soon to be closed East 79th Street Chicago Sears store near the Chicago Skyway. Once retrofitted into the new Chicago area social spying data center, it will use at least 5 megawatts of electricity! (and they’ve already got an unnamed client signed up to operate it)
Most mall based vacated Sears stores will be used as “business continuity services”, to supposedly keep other businesses running in case of natural disasters or civil uprisings/unforeseen events.
Most vacated Kmarts will be used as data centers, because most Kmarts are not connected to malls or other stores, therefore (as Farney admits) it’s easier to hide just who is operating the data center.
Sears Holdings officials say the vacated Sears and Kmarts were chosen for such population monitoring/controlling operations because, according to UCE’s Sean Farney, 70% of the U.S. population live near a Sears or Kmart!
An retail analysts with Morningstar said this new move to offer Sears Holding’s property for use in social spying, shows how desperate the corporation is. Or is it? In the Data Center Knowledge interview, Farney stated that the new Sears Holdings subdivision, UCE, has the money to pay for the conversion to data centers, even to customize the centers to whatever requirements of the new tenants!

The U.S. Department of Agriculture is investigating a farmer’s claim that he discovered outlawed GMO wheat growing on his Oregon farm.
Monsanto was testing a GMO version of wheat, in 13 states, but dropped it by 2005 because U.S. wheat farmers categorically rejected any genetically modified wheat.
Supposedly Monsanto stopped their GMO wheat test in Oregon back in 2001.
The farmer in Oregon found wheat growing where he knew he didn’t plant any seed, so he sprayed them with Monsanto’s Roundup weed killer. The wheat didn’t die. Scientists at Oregon State University confirmed they are GMO crops.
Wheat speculators are expecting the discovery to affect international wheat prices.
This case is similar to what’s happening in Hungary. Recently more than 404.6 hectares (1000 acres) of maize (corn for those ‘mercians livin’ in ‘merica) were burned because they were contaminated with GMO crops. GMO crops are outlawed in Hungary, yet Hungarian agriculture officials now suspect there are dozens of farm fields tainted by GMOs.

In the past few weeks the U.S. state of Arkansas has been hit with at least 36 quakes. The Arkansas Geological Survey said there are oil industry fracking (hydraulic fracturing or hydrofracturing) operations taking place about eight miles from the quake area (near Morrilton).
The quakes range from the 2 to 4 USGS magnitude range. That many quakes within that magnitude range have been proven, in the past, to be the result of industrial fracking for oil or natural gas.

Several studies have revealed direct links between high fructose corn syrup, GMO (genetically modified organism) crops and increased pesticide use with the massive death and disappearance of honey bees. On 24 May 2013 the European Union (EU) banned the use of three pesticides based on such studies.
The EU ban begins in December and will last two years, before being reviewed.
On 02 January 2013, Poland banned the use of Monsanto’s GMO MON 810 maize (corn) and BASF’s Amflora strain of potato, after Polish beekeepers claimed a direct link between the genetically enhanced pesticide laden seeds and the collapse of honey bees.
A report published in May 2013 concluded that GMO/pesticides are affecting other pollinators, not just bees. The study indicated that the European Union was about to ban such pesticides based on their own studies.
In September 2012, another study says GMO/pesticides are destroying bees’ ability to navigate.
In April 2012, the Harvard School of Public Health proved that pesticide laced corn syrup is killing bees. The unknowing culprits here are the beekeepers themselves. Honey farmers want all the honey for sale, and feed the bees high fructose corn syrup in its place. Here’s the rub; prior to 2004 the corn syrup did not contain pesticides. How’d it get there? In 2004-05 U.S. maize crops began being sprayed with a new pesticide. It turns out the pesticide stays in the corn even after harvest and is showing up in the corn syrup (this also means that we humans are eating it as well). The Harvard study concluded that it only takes 20 parts per billion of neonicotinoid pesticides to kill off a bee colony within six months!
A study published online in March 2012 revealed that the GMO crops use a neonicotinoid toxin that disables an insects homing abilities, which explains why so many bees never get back to their hives.
Another study showed that even low doses of neonicotinoid pesticides is harmful to bees.
In February 2012, a study said that even dust coming from the GMO seeds could kill bees.
There are dozens and dozens of studies around the World which say the GMO/pesticide corporations are responsible for declining crop production as well as killing off the insect pollinators necessary for food production, yet those very corporations continue to deny that such studies exist!
In 2007 USDA official, Kevin Hackett, said what those corporations are doing is the biggest threat to our survival that we face, but you won’t find those corporations on the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s terrorist list!

Since 2011 there have been growing reports that farmers are returning to massive use of pesticides, because of new superbug insects. Those super insects have been created by the very GMO (genetically modified organism) crops meant to kill insects (in 2003 the U.S. EPA approved GMO on that very basis).
The latest report shows that Monsanto’s Bt Corn has actually created insects (like rootworms) that are now immune to GMO crops. The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) recently reported that pesticide makers are seeing skyrocketing sales, as a result.
The WSJ also reported that years ago some corporations knew this would happen, and began taking over pesticide companies for the expected boom in bug spray sales. Other reports say the amount of pesticide use is higher than what the WSJ reported.
Of course Monsanto says they will create new GMO seeds.
In 2010, India halted the use of GMO crops. In 2012, India ordered testing of any GMO crop in a controlled environment before being approved. Here’s why: “I was shocked to find the three years of so-called research trials conducted by Mahyco Monsanto Biotech or MMB, a joint venture between Indian seed company Mahyco and Monsanto, as erroneous……I went on record to state that GM technology, promoted by MMB, was fraudulent.”-Devinder Sharma, agricultural scientist
One possible reason that India began to question the claims of Monsanto and other GM makers, is that during the years Indian farmers used GMO seeds, there was no increase in overall crop production! (increased crop production was one of the claims made by GMO companies: “generate higher crop yields with fewer inputs”–Biotechnology Industry Organization)
In Lebanon, the Consumer Protection Department of the Economy and Trade Ministry (CPDET) warned consumers that recent testing of fruits and vegetables are showing high rates of pesticides, including chemicals banned in Lebanon.
Officials are calling the free use of chemicals by local farmers chaotic: “In the last few months findings indicate that farmers have reverted to chaos….”-CPDET statement
CPDET officials say “The main reason was attributed to insects developing immunity…….unleashing a vicious and fearful cycle.”
For years there has been fear in Lebanon that GMO crops grown in nearby Europe, or in neighboring Israel, would eventually adversely affect Lebanese agriculture.
According to Israeli news media there are no laws regulating GMOs in Israel: “Agricultural products that underwent genetic engineering are sold in Israel without any marking to inform consumers……main function is to test foodstuffs slated for export to Europe.”-Haaretz
It’s possible that Lebanon’s agriculture industry has been invaded (through pollination) by GMOs from Israel’s unregulated industry.
The problem of cross pollination is one of the concerns for the European country Hungary. Hungary bans all GMOs. A week ago 404.6 hectares (1000 acres) of maize was burned, after it was discovered that GMO seeds somehow got in with regular corn seeds (many Hungarian farmers bought their seeds from international companies). The burning of the crop was done to prevent cross pollination. Investigations are revealing that somehow thousands of acres of other crops in Hungary could also be contaminated with GMOs.
But contrary to what some bloggers say, about the Europe Union not allowing GMO crops, the European Union does allow Bt corn/maize, and several EU members have expressed intentions to grow other GMO crops (Spain is the largest producer of GMO crops).
So it is very possible that the agriculture industry in Lebanon is dealing with superbugs created by GMOs in Europe and Israel, which of course means more pesticide use.
Then there’s the rapidly declining bird population in United Kingdom. Investigators blame increased pesticide use, and “changes in crop production” in Sussex. It’s reported that 60% of overall bird species have disappeared in the past ten years. Sussex is not listed as one of the English Counties that have banned GMOs.
Recently released studies in the United States back up the claims that GMOs do not decrease pesticide use and they do not increase crop yield!
In 2012 the Washington State University proved that the net effect of GMO crops is an increase in pesticide use, and other chemicals, not a decrease!
Now the University of Wisconsin says the gene splicing that goes into GMOs actually reduces crop yields! Researchers call it “yield drag”, meaning genetic engineering of crops reduces overall production. Their study (Commercialized transgenic traits, maize productivity and yield risk) shows that GMO crops tend to reduce environmental “yield risks” to the crops, but the overall yield output is also reduced.
What was that about GMOs saving humanity from starvation?

The journal Human Reproduction reporting that the first 30 humans created by Genetic Modification have been born around the World! Genetic testing showed the infants have more than two parents!
At least 15 of those babies, over the past three years, were born at the Institute for Reproductive Medicine and Science of Saint Barnabas in New Jersey U.S.A.
Researchers say it was part of experiments to help women who could not conceive. It involved using genes from another woman. Testing shows the infants inherited genes from both women, meaning that technically they have two mothers and one father!
The professor in charge of the program boasted, last year, that he could use the same technique to clone humans: “It would be an afternoon’s work for one of my students.”-Jacques Cohen
Cohen claims he already gotten three requests for cloning.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention revealed that 58% of all public pools tested in the United States, were swimming with E.Coli (bacteria) contaminated human shit (fecal contamination)! The CDC concluded that many ‘mericans aren’t very clean.
In Ohio U.S.A., 11 schools were closed in Brunswick. The epidemic started at a 07 May teacher appreciation lunch. It’s been spreading since then. All schools were closed because so many students are sick that even those students not sick have siblings that are sick. Several dozens of teachers and students are sick. Local media incorrectly called norovirus the stomach flu and/or food poisoning.
In Missouri U.S.A., the Cole County Health Department now saying last weeks’ outbreaks in local elementary and junior highs, were caused by norovirus.
In Arlington, Virginia U.S.A., Nottingham Elementary School hit by an outbreak. School officials only made things more confusing when they started moving students from classroom to classroom. School officials refuse to say how many students got sick, but one parent said at least 80. Students were fearful: “Everyone was getting sick. It got me and all my friends worried, and we cleared out as fast as we could.”-Raquel Robinson, 4th grader
In Wisconsin U.S.A., more than 50 students from Minnesota got sick at a YMCA camp. Reports say the Minnesota Department of Health said one child from the North Star State was sick with norovirus when they left home for the YMCA camp. Once there the virus quickly spread to the other students. Also, in Franklin, the Pleasant View Elementary School was closed and scrubbed after more than 50 students became sick with stomach bug symptoms. Health officials are testing to determine the cause.
In Iowa U.S.A., the Siouxland District Health Department investigating what caused about three teachers and 80 students to get sick at the Bryant Elementary School.
In New York U.S.A., a woman thought she was suffering from stomach bug, because of the symptoms. She finally went to the doctor and found out she had fast spreading stage 4 breast cancer. She died after her first chemotherapy treatment. Friends of the family said that the exact moment she died a double rainbow appeared in the sky.
In East Riding of Yorkshire, England U.K., ward 21 at Castle Hill Hospital closed due to an outbreak: “…new patients being brought onto the ward had to go past the infected people.”-hospital source
In Worcestershire, England U.K., the Alexandra Hospital was closed along with wards at the Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
In East Midlands, England U.K., an investigation into the death of a 38 years old woman last year, concluded she died from norovirus. Pathologists also told the Chesterfield Coroner’s Court that at least 80 people died in the United Kingdom last year, because of norovirus.
A study by a Canadian insurance company found that 93% of workers in United Kingdom go to work sick. The main reasons are fear of loss of income and/or employment.
In Highland, Scotland U.K., The County Community Hospital in Invergordon, Lawson Memorial Hospital in Golspie, and the inpatient ward in Nairn Town have all been closed due to outbreaks.
In Queensland, Australia, a man is suffering from a massive watermelon sized hernia, after he got sick with a stomach bug. He got infected after continuing to drink from his beer after he dropped in into the river he was fishing on. Of course he picked up unknown microbes as a result. The anti-biotic treatments and operations didn’t help. He’s been told he’ll need six more operations, yet on his most recent trip to the Royal Brisbane Hospital he was turned away due to lack of beds!
Researchers at Texas A&M University are experimenting with an electron beam to kill norovirus and hepatitis A in oysters. Most people like eating their oysters raw.
Other researchers claim they’ve come up with a way to kill microbes (bacteria, viruses, yeasts, molds) using gold, silver and lasers. Apparently they use micro particles of gold or silver ‘shells’ designed to trap specifically shaped microbes, and then use a laser, which somehow kills only those microbes trapped in the gold/silver shells.
