More Fukushima Fallout: Killer Beta Radiation Spikes Again! Too late to stop catastrophe! More incompetence revealed by whistleblowers!

“It is too little, too late!”-Koide Hiroaki, Kyoto University Research Reactor Institute, commenting on new efforts to stop the ongoing slow burn nuke melt down at Fukushima Daiichi

Japan’s Nuclear Regulation Authority reporting that deadly beta radiation from the Fukushima Daiichi nuke plant has spiked to 2200 millisieverts per hour!  Just days ago a leaking water tank was emitting 1800 millisieverts per hour, which can kill you within 4 hours of exposure.

The latest radiation ‘leak’ was found in a third tank farm.  The tank farms sit on top of a hill, above the nuclear plant.  The latest radiation readings were taken just above ground level.  There are at least 900 1-thousand metric tons capacity water storage tanks around Fukushima Daiichi, all were hastily assembled by bolting together panels.  The panel seams were sealed with a resin, but over the weekend it was discovered the resin is breaking down and coming through the seams.

The contaminated water is flooding into the Pacific Ocean.

On the PBS Newshour, Arjun Makhijani of the Institute for Energy and Environmental Research, explained why after two and a half years Tokyo Electric Power Company is only now detecting such high levels: “….the first measurement was done with an instrument that only went up to a hundred millisieverts and maxed out!”

In other words TEPCo was using inadequate radiation detectors!

Another PBS Newshour guest revealed that the general public is hearing about the catastrophe only because subcontracted TEPCo employees are whistleblowing: “…..some of the media reports coming from Japan are saying things like subcontractors are….literally leaking information that the tanks….put together, in great haste, under severe cost pressure from TEPCo….these subcontractors are saying, well, in the long run, even medium run, you would expect them to start springing leaks. So, clearly, the operator hasn’t been on top of the situation and people are getting fairly nervous about that.”-Kenji Kushida, Stanford University

More Fukushima Fallout: Water tank seals degraded by radiation! Another killer leak discovered!

03 September 2013 (21:18 UTC-07 Tango 02 September 2013)/27 Shawwal 1434/12 Shahrivar 1392/28 Xin-You (7th month) 4711

Workers at Fukushima Daiichi discovered the reason for the massive leaks of highly contaminated water from the tanks farms.  The soft resin used to seal the bolted together tanks is degrading and being pushed out by the pressure of the water.

Over the weekend TEPCo contracted workers discovered high levels of radiation emitting from three 1-thousand metric tons capacity tanks, within the same tank farm.  One had enough radiation to kill a human after 4 hours of exposure (1800 millisieverts per hour of beta rays)!   The workers also found the degraded resin seals coming out of the seams on the tanks.

Today, inspectors discovered another water tank leaking killer radiation, at a different tank farm.  This one will take more time to kill you as it was emitting only 100 millisieverts per hour of deadly beta rays!

More Fukushima Fallout: Radiation levels so high now, it will kill you in 4 hours!!!

01 September 2013 (02:35 UTC-07 Tango)/25 Shawwal 1434/10 Shahrivar 1392/26 Xin-You (7th month) 4711

Radiation levels continue to skyrocket at the deadly Fukushima Daiichi nuke plant.  Tokyo Electric Power Company officials say there has been a huge increase, about 18 times greater, in radiation readings coming from a leaky water tank.

The tank was last checked on 22 August 2013.  Today it is reading 1800 millisieverts per hour, TEPCo officials say this level can kill a person in 4 hours!

TEPCo also reported a leaky pipe, connecting storage tanks.  The puddle of water under the pipe has 230 millisieverts per hour of contamination.  This is more evidence that there are many unaccounted for leaks still to be discovered (there are more than 900 storage tanks, and growing since they have to build new ones to store the ongoing water leaks from the reactors).

More Fukushima Fallout: TEPCo says radiation levels continue to increase! Inspectors say quake did not cause reactor damage!

31 August 2013 (22:06 UTC-07 Tango 30 August 2013)/24 Shawwal 1434/09 Shahrivar 1392/25 Geng-Shen (7th month) 4711

Japan’s Nuclear Regulation Authority (NRA) concluded that the 11 March 2011 earthquake did not damage the cooling system for the GE designed reactors at Fukushima Daiichi.  Investigations as to why the General Electric designed reactors melted down are ongoing.

Tokyo Electric Power Company officials revealed that radiation levels continue to increase, especially since 27 August 2013.  They said higher concentrations of strontium and other beta ray isotopes are being detected in water flowing through runoff ditches around the nuke plant.  Officials with NRA say it’s a sign there are more leaks that have yet to be discovered!

More Fukushima Fallout: TEPCo tries to tarnish image of dead hero Fukushima manager, proof of False Flag Op? TEPCo now blames understaffing for mistakes!

23 August 2013 (15:51 UTC-07 Tango)/16 Shawwal 1434/01 Shahrivar 1392/17 Geng-Shen (7th month) 4711

“We want officials at Tokyo Electric Power Company to have the courage to admit the limits of their efforts, instead of simply repeating ‘they are doing their best’.”-Fuketa Toyoshi, Nuclear Regulation Authority

NRA Commissioner, Fuketa Toyoshi, took an inspection tour of Fukushima Daiichi.  He blasted TEPCo officials for covering up the severity of the two and half years old nuclear disaster.  He also blasted TEPCo for not keeping records of ongoing radiation contamination!

Tokyo Electric officials whined back at Fuketa, saying they need at least four times their current number of subcontracted workers to properly deal with the disaster!  Keep in mind that TEPCo has been getting big bucks from the Japanese government to deal with this, and now they say they don’t have enough employees?

TEPCo is now removing soil from around the contaminated water tank farms.  It’s because they now realize that the contaminated water not only ran off into the Pacific Ocean, but soaked into the ground (before ending up in the ocean, as well).

More than 1-thousand people attended the funeral for hero Yoshida Masao.  He was in charge of Fukushima Daiichi when the 9 quake and tsunami hit on 11 March 2011.  He stayed on trying to fight what was later admitted to be melt downs in several GE designed reactors.  He died last month from esophageal cancer.

TEPCo tried to tarnish the hero’s image, blaming him for lack of tsunami protection.  TEPCo also downplayed his sudden case of throat cancer after fighting the nuke melt downs, saying it was not related!

It’s now been revealed that it was Yoshida Masao who made the emergency decision to use ocean water to cool the reactors.  This is because he knew they were melting down!  It’s also been revealed that TEPCo ordered him to stop cooling the reactors with ocean water!  This can mean only one of two things: TEPCo officials are totally incompetent, or they wanted the melt downs to occur!

Food Crisis: Think Tuna prices are high now? Red Sea Tuna now extinct!

23 August 2013 (00:07 UTC-07 Tango)/16 Shawwal 1434/01  Shahrivar 1392/17 Geng-Shen (7th month) 4711

“We are currently experiencing some of the most severe supply shortages that the tuna industry has ever faced.”-Unnamed fish supplier in a memo to a Rhode Island restaurant in 2012, trying to explain why prices are going up

On 22 August 2013, Japan’s Fisheries Agency warned they will order a reduction in allowed bluefin tuna catches by their fishing industry.  In March 2013, there were reports that the Japanese news media almost ignored a study by the International Scientific Committee for Tuna and Tuna-like Species in the Northern Pacific that said not only have tuna populations been falling for decades, the population decline has snowballed towards extinction!

The latest survey estimates that today’s Pacific bluefin tuna population has crashed by 96.4% over the past few decades, and current catches could guarantee extinction: “Over 90% of the catch is juveniles, caught in nursery and spawning areas. Literally, the zero to three year age class, so they’re being caught on their spawning grounds before they can reproduce, with no catch limit, and gee whiz, we’re at 3.6% of the original population. I wonder why?”-Amanda Nickson, Pew Environment Group

In fact, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Ministry of Fisheries Affairs has reported a loss of 70% in its Red Sea fishing industry. Fishermen say it’s partly due to the extinction of Red Sea tuna caused by pollution: “The entire expanse of sea lying between Jeddah and Qunfuda is polluted and has resulted in the depletion of the fish resources and the total disappearance of tuna.”-Abdullah Al-Sayed, a fisherman in Jeddah.

Even the cheap generic brand of canned tuna could become unaffordable. Tuna packed in veggie oil has already gone way up because veggie oil prices have skyrocketed!

Even the cheap generic brand of canned tuna could become unaffordable. Tuna packed in veggie oil has already gone way up because veggie oil prices have skyrocketed!

It should matter to Japanese because tuna is king of sushi.  It’s estimated that the Japanese eat 80% of the tuna caught around the World!  Japanese have been hearing about this for awhile, but maybe they haven’t noticed that since 2007 some tuna sushi has been replaced with different fish (some reports mentioned deer meat).

But Japanese fish mongers have seen for years a decline in available tuna in the fish markets, resulting in higher prices every year.  In January 2013, a 489 pounds bluefin tuna sold for a record $1.76 million USD in Japan!

(don’t forget to add the incredible amount of deadly radiation that’s been pouring into the northern Pacific from Fukushima Daiichi, since 2011:  Pacific bluefin tuna transport Fukushima-derived radionuclides from Japan to California)

It’s not just bluefin that’s disappearing, it’s other tuna as well.  Today, the latest global tuna catch records show that only 18-thousands metric tons of tuna were caught last year, it hasn’t been that low since the 1980s.

Vietnam just reported that its fishing industry is having a hard time catching tuna, their exports are down as result.

An official with New Zealand’s Secretariat of the Pacific Community recently blamed lack of government management and monitoring of fishing industries: “…this is done country by country, different countries are doing different things and taking different approaches to their management and data collection. Some are focusing more on the tuna fishery….that’s being lost to the countries because the fishery wasn’t managed sustainably. We know that many of the main centers around the Pacific, the main urban centers, there is a shortage of fish and people are needing to go further to catch fish, or in some countries they are trying to bring in fish from other locations in the country, so we know there is over fishing occurring…..management is to include the monitoring so that you actually have an idea of what’s happening in the fishery…”-Lindsay Chapman

India has just lifted its trawling fishing ban, many people in India hope it will bring fish prices down, because the industrial fish farms just could not produce enough fish to offset the lack of wild caught fish due to the trawling fishing ban.  Not only are tuna prices way up in India, so are sardine prices.

What was that about “teach a man to fish”?

More Fukushima Fallout: Gross incompetence! TEPCo finally trying to stop 15-thousand tons of leaks, that it knew about more than 2 years ago!

23 August 2013 (20:35 UTC-07 Tango 22 August 2013)/16 Shawwal 1434/01  Shahrivar 1392/17 Geng-Shen (7th month) 4711

Two and a half years ago I wrote about radioactive water flooding into tunnels under the GE designed disaster reactors at Fukushima Daiichi.  I wrote about it because Tokyo Electric Power Company officials publicized it.   Turns out they haven’t done a gott damn thing about it, until today!!!!

Today TEPCo officials announced they are finally going to try and stop the estimated 210 metric tons per day of contaminated water flowing through a tunnel under Reactor 2, from getting to the Pacific Ocean.  TEPCo says that the reason they waited so long is because they didn’t think the water was pouring into the Pacific Ocean, well, it turns out it is!

So add that 21o tons per day to the previously announced 300 tons per day, then add that to the newly discovered storage tank leaks and you’re talking about more than 1-thousand tons per day of contaminated water into the Pacific Ocean for the past two and a half years!   But it’s probably more, read on!

By the way, when I first wrote about radioactive water pouring into tunnels under the reactors more than two years ago, coupled with the fact that independent sources had discovered strontium contamination, I said that was a sign of melt down.  A year later TEPCo admitted melt downs had occurred.  These guys are supposed to be experts trained by General Electric???

But wait there’s more!  TEPCo says in all the tunnels under Fukushima Daiichi there’s at least 15-thousand tons of highly contaminated water, possibly pouring into the Pacific Ocean!!!

More Fukushima Fallout: Leaking tanks update, 100 millisieverts per hour leaking from seams!

22 August 2013 (09:45 UTC-07 Tango)/15 Shawwal 1434/31 Mordad 1392/16 Geng-Shen (7th month) 4711

“The quantities of water they are dealing with are absolutely gigantic. What is the worse is the water leakage everywhere else, not just from the tanks. It is leaking out from the basements, it is leaking out from the cracks all over the place. Nobody can measure that. It is much worse than we have been led to believe, much worse!”-Mycle Schneider, nuclear analyst in BBC interview

Inspections of storage tanks in Fukushima Daiichi’s Reactor 4 tank farm show the bolted together tanks are leaking radiation, even if they’re not leaking water!  The inspections were ordered by Japan’s Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NRA) after the 19 August discovery of a massive water leak.

The 300 metric tons of highly contaminated water that is now suspected of pouring into the Pacific Ocean, came from just one of the 350 Reactor 4 storage tanks.

On another Reactor 4 storage tank they discovered that the seams of the bolted on panels are emitting 70 to 100 millisieverts per hour of radiation!  The safe limit for nuclear industry workers in Japan are set at 50 millisieverts per year!  And here’s the rub on this latest discovery; the exterior of the tank is dry, and has not leaked any water.  This means that deadly radiation is escaping from the tank seams, and when it rains it runs off into the Pacific Ocean.  Each tank holds 1-thousand metric tons of contaminated water, and many have no external way to gauge the water level.

And don’t forget the new leak they discovered yesterday, at a different tank farm!

More Fukushima Fallout: 30 trillion becquerels of radiation floods Pacific Ocean! Could be worse, TEPCo admits they keep no records!

22 August 2013 (21:40 UTC-07 Tango 21 August 2013)/15 Shawwal 1434/31 Mordad 1392/16 Geng-Shen (7th month) 4711

After two and a half years of playing dumb, Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCo) has revealed that 10 trillion becquerels of deadly strontium, and 20 trillion becquerels of cesium, have flooded into the Pacific Ocean since May 2011!  The new report does not include March and April 2011!

Actually, anyone who’s been following my postings about Fukushima Daiichi (going all the way back to March 2011) should not be surprised.

The amount could be much higher as TEPCo officials admitted to Japan’s Nuclear Regulatory Authority, in an emergency meeting on 21 August, that they have not kept any official records of radiation emissions or contamination!!!  The NRA official responded by saying “So, you rely on the memory of your workers?”

Becquerel is an internationally accepted measurement for a unit of radioactivity, equal to one nuclear decay or other nuclear transformation per second.  Named after Antoine Henri Becquerel.

The becquerel (Bq) replaced the curie (Ci) measurement system.  Curie is a non-internationally accepted way to measure radiation, named after Marie and Pierre Curie.  One Ci equals 37-billion Bq (37 gigabecquerels GBq).

1-thousand Ci of a radioisotope can produce serious health effects after only a few minutes of exposure.  30 trillion Bq is the same as 30 terabecquerels (TBq).  30 TBq equals 810.810 Ci.

More Fukushima Fallout: NRA holds emergency meeting, says TEPCo has failed! U.S. news media behind the 8 Ball on reporting severity!

21 August 2013 (16:35 UTC-07 Tango)/14 Shawwal 1434/30 Mordad 1392/15 Geng-Shen (7th month) 4711

Japan’s Nuclear Regulation Authority (NRA) held an emergency meeting, led by the NRA’s Fuketa Toyoshi.  In the meeting NRA officials blasted Tokyo Electric Power Company’s (TEPCo) failure to handle the ongoing Fukushima Daiichi disaster.

Fuketa basically declared TEPCo’s efforts to be a failure, and that TEPCo’s latest plans to stop ongoing leaks will also fail!

I noticed that only now is the U.S. main streamer media reporting on the massive leaks, which were reported in the Japanese media on 19 August.  The U.S. media is also making it sound like this is a new leak, when in fact it has been ongoing since the beginning of the disaster two and a half years ago!!!  Oh, and don’t forget about the ‘new’ leak discovered today!

And have you heard anything from the U.S. main streamers about the Fukushima children suffering from radiation caused thyroid cancer?
