Students & Tourists used as slave labor? More proof immigration is about denying you a job!

A new study shows that a form of migrant worker, tourists who work their way through a ‘vacation’, and students are victims of Wage Theft.

The law study by University of Technology-Sydney, and University of New South Wales, was conducted in the British empire country (Commonwealth of Nations) of Australia. The study discovered that one in three tourist workers (called ‘backbacker’ workers in The Land Down Under) and foreign student workers were paid less than the legal minimum wage. Not only that, but many foreign workers are actually forced to pay a ‘deposit’ to get a job, as well as pay for transportation and rent for bare-bones living conditions, leaving many with next to nothing when the job is done! 86% of tourist and student workers have been led to believe that they are legally not allowed to be paid minimum wage, which is not true under Aussie law! (Note: In the United States it is legal to pay foreign migrant workers less than minimum wage, not just at federal level but at state level. Here in Idaho many foreign farm workers, and even U.S. citizens, can legally be paid far less than the state minimum wage. Entertainment workers [mainly movie theaters] in Idaho, both foreign and citizens, can legally be forced to work without breaks and without overtime pay!)

Some backbacker workers reported sexual harassment: “I came to Australia after I finished school for a new experience, to travel, to see as much of this country as possible. The farmer was really inappropriate with all the girls. He would come up behind me and rub against me, or hold my hands while I was packing.”-Alex Bell, from British empire member United Kingdom, forced to pick sweet potatoes in Australia

The study also found that some foreign workers refused to complain because they felt it was a privilege to work in Australia!

The study is called Wage Theft in Australia, which also revealed that 900-thousand backbacker and student workers in Australia are coming from at least 107 countries!
