Florida based Health Management Associates was taken over by Tennessee based Community Health Systems, 400 healthcare jobs will be killed as a result!
California: In Sacramento, Mercy General Hospital confirmed they killed many healthcare jobs, but refused to say how many. In Camarillo, computer chip maker Semtech laying off 86 employees, due to crashing sales.
Florida: In Largo, Billy G’z Lounge shutdown. In Orlando, Darden Restaurants laid off 20 HQ employees. 85 HQ employees were laid off in September. Restaurant officials blame the crashing economy. Orlando Health warned of even more hospital layoffs. Blaming Obama Care, they say they need to cut $58-million USD from their expenses this year, and there is no end in sight: “…..it’s not necessarily easy sailing from here forward.”-Paul Goldstein, CFO
Hawaii: In Kauai, after at least 89 years the Hanamaulu Cafe shutdown. Customers of the popular restaurant were shocked, and local news sources say the 3rd generation owners gave no explanation.
Illinois: In Lake County, Abbott Laboratories laid off an undisclosed number of employees. The legal drugs pusher and medical device maker has laid off thousands of employees since 2012!
Indiana: General Electric (GE) killed 90 jobs as it shutdown it’s last Fort Wayne factory. The jobs were outsourced to Mexico, the shutdown was planned more than ten years ago!
Iowa: In Carlisle, evil credit reporting agency Equifax shutdown an office. 52 jobs will be lost by the end of March.
Kentucky: In Louisville, KentuckyOne Health killing healthcare jobs. Hospital officials said Obama Care was forcing them to cut $218-million from their operating budget by fiscal 2015! They also admit they lost $100-million during the last half of 2013! The maker of Valvoline motor oil, Ashland, says it is forced to “restructure” 1-thousand jobs in order to save $200-million!
Louisiana: The child prison officially known as Jetson Center for Youth will layoff 21 employees. Loyola University warned of layoffs, the result of multi-million dollars of debt caused by crashing student enrollment.
Maryland: Tax sucking Pacific Architects and Engineers laid off 105 engineers as their contract terminated with Naval Air Systems Command.
Michigan: In Kentwood, more food crisis as major packaged food producer ConAgra shutting down its energy/granola bar factory in July. 260 jobs lost! To add insult to injury, less than four years ago the company got massive local tax breaks! Local news reports say ConAgra gave no reason for the shutdown! Employees told local news reporters that they’ve known for at least three years that something was going to happen. One compliant wimp-ass fatalistic employee stated “That’s just business I guess, there’s nothing you can really do about it.”
Mississippi: In Corinth, anti-gun Pepsi shutting down a warehouse, 31 jobs lost.
New Jersey: In Montclair, Saplings furniture store shutdown after only 18 months of operations! In Totowa, the British empire Canadian YM owned warehouse that supplies goods to Mandee, Annie Sez and Afaze retail stores, shutting down. 69 jobs lost.
New York: After 134 years, the new owners of Oneida dinnerware shutdown operations! At least 90 jobs lost. In NYC, Time warned of more layoffs, possibly as many as 500! In Fayetteville, a Famous Footwear store shutdown. It’s part of the corporation’s shutdown of 145 stores across the U.S.! In Newburgh, after 65 years Dabrusin Auto Parts shutdown. The owner said it was time to retire, and the automotive market is so bad that he talked his daughter out of taking over the business! What housing market recovery? In Perinton, Too Big to Jail Wells Fargo shutdown another mortgage office, 25 jobs lost. In Rochester, Eastman Kodak laid off four employees. In Carmel, First Transit shutting down in March, 65 jobs lost. In Feura Bush, World Logistics Group shutting down in April, 72 jobs lost.
Ohio: God refused to stop Catholic Charities from ending operations and killing 115 jobs! This included social and healthcare programs!
Pennsylvania: In Edensburg, Gamesa USA shutting down in March. 62 jobs lost.
Rhode Island: After 25 years the Wild Flower Florist and Garden Center shutdown. The owner sold the property.
Virginia: In Spotsylvania County, Fabrics Unlimited shutting down in March.

The U.S. Department of Labor (DoL) doesn’t count the hundreds of layoffs involving less than 50 people each, in its mass layoff reports. It also doesn’t count all the little ‘mom & pop’ businesses that shut down.
