Boston Globe says the MIT snipe, Watertown shootout and explosions were done by Boston Bombings suspects, one has been arrested, a second suspect on the loose.

A live reporter conflicts saying one Watertown suspect killed, second on the loose.

Boston ABC affiliate talking to Watertown resident on phone.  He described police chasing and shooting at black SUV.  He said his home is surrounded by cops. At least five cops searching his back yard. He saw bomb disposal robots passing on the street.

Reports of suspicious packages showing up in Cambridge.  Reports that police are stopping and searching black vehicles.

A CBS live crew was told by many cops that they are in a really bad spot, hint that they need to leave.

Another CBS reporter says she heard over police radio that second suspect might not be in Watertown anymore.  Massive manhunt underway.

Reports that multiple cities deploying bomb disposal units.  FBI agents now armed with rifles.  Helicopters arrived.  More cops arriving on foot, heading towards Arsenal Mall.

CBS affiliate read police press release that says situation is rapidly expanding.  MIT cop sniped, Watertown robberies/gun battles/explosions, now police being deployed to Cambridge!

CBS affiliate reports one suspect still on the loose.

Live reporters saying police will not let them leave their media trucks.  Told they would be safe if they stayed by their live vans.

The CBS affiliate in Boston reporting the National Guard has been deployed to Watertown, but I think they might be confusing the Metro SWAT units as Guard units.

Federal agents arriving,  more bomb disposal squads arriving.  Police continue pushing live media back.  Media has been pushed back so far they can not see what’s going on.

Another explosion reported by live reporter, pointing out that bomb disposal team is present.

Video shows white male on ground and cops backing away from him.  Suspect wearing ‘FBI’ type jacket with a logo on the back, and jogging pants, with khaki shoes similar to those seen on Academi/Blackwater mercenaries.

Apparently no more gunshots heard.  Ambulance leaving scene.

Report that an armored fighting vehicle and heavily armed Metro SWAT type cops have begun paroling down street were gun battle and explosion took place.

SWAT teams running down other streets.

Police evacuating neighborhood.  It’s after 01:00 UTC-5 Romeo, in Massachusetts.   Ambulances and Fire Engines arrive.  Resident says several explosions, also says was told by a cop that a policeman was shot and killed.

Might be over, police are now putting up ‘police tape’.

Live reporter ended report after saying cops had suspect at gunpoint, then in a panicked voice he said all the cops were hurriedly backing away, some started running.

Police started telling people to run, suspect has hand grenade!

Now reports of explosion!

Live reporter was tracking reports of multiple robberies and then gunshots in Watertown, Massachusetts, but as they arrived at a scene of several dozen cop cars more gunshots rangout.

NBC affiliate Reporter said at first a cop told him “we got ’em”, but then more gunshots.  Reporter says he and his crew are trapped for fear of getting hit by bullets.

Police running around residential neighborhood, apparently searching for suspects.  Photog says he saw smoke down one street, before police forced him back.

Watertown is a few miles from the MIT sniper incident. However, a cop said he did not think the two incidents are related.
