Sweden joins fight for Libya’s Oil, ooops, I mean fight to protect Civilians

Sweden announced they will be sending aircraft to enforce a no fly zone over Libya. The Swedish parliament voted 240-18 in favor of the plan.

They will send up to eight warplanes, including their JAS 39 Gripen, and a transport plane to join the NATO-led coalition.

This is almost getting to be like World War One, where countries jump in on the fight one after another, until the whole world is at war.

Vatican says coalition is bombing Libyan Civilians

“The so-called humanitarian raids have killed dozens of civilian victims in some neighborhoods of Tripoli.”-Giovanni Innocenzo Martinelli, the Apostolic Vicar of Tripoli

The Catholic official also said hospitals had been hit by coalition bombing.  President Obama had stated many times that the bombing was to PROTECT civilians.

The Catholic report is in the current issue of Fides, the Catholic missionary newspaper.

Obama DOES back civil war rebels in Libya, IS targeting Gaddafi

Reuters says they have seen proof that President Barack Obama signed an order to actively support the rebels in Libya, even though there is proof that al Qaeda is also working with the rebels.

The order authorizes covert operations to get rid of Gaddafi. Reuters says the Presidential “finding” was sign two or three weeks ago.  This means Obama was lying through his teeth the past two weeks about NOT targeting Gaddafi, and about Operation Odyssey Dawn being just about protecting peaceful civilians.

Because al Qaeda might be involved with  rebels, this brings up another problem with arming rebels: “The whole issue on (providing rebels with) training and equipment requires knowing who the rebels are.”- Bruce Riedel, former CIA

Saudi Arabia and Qatar, who despise Gaddafi, are also willing to supply Libyan rebels with weapons.  By the way, those countries are Wahhab Muslim, the same as al Qaeda, yet they’re our allies.  Gaddafi is NOT a Wahhab Muslim.  So why do we keep supporting the ones who (Wahhabis) attacked us on September 11, 2001?

Gaddafi was right, U.S. Admiral says al Qeada involved with “peaceful” Libyan Rebels

Remember when Gaddafi told international media that al Qaeda was behind some of the “peaceful” militant protesters? Even if you don’t, the U.S. media, and our government, laughed his claims off, saying it was proof he was crazy.

Guess what the U.S. commander of NATO said? Admiral James Stavridis said there were “flickers” of al Qaeda within the rebels. The admiral’s statement was backed up by a senior counter terrorism official, unnamed because he is not authorized to speak to the media. He said there is  “…a sprinkling of extremists to perhaps include al Qaeda,” adding that “It’s hard to tell who all the leaders are in the opposition.” So our government doesn’t know who we are supporting?  We could be supporting al Qaeda? Who’s crazy now?

Obama says U.S. will no longer be in charge of Odyssey Dawn, Yet who runs NATO? More Lies

Operation Odyssey Dawn is, according to President Barack Obama, going to be handed over to NATO on Thursday, April 1 (don’t be surprised if it’s an April Fools prank [heh, April Fools, Thursday is actually March 31]),  so that the United States will no longer be in charge of attacking Libya.  But who is in charge of NATO? The United States!

Already Obama has lied about U.S. involvement in Operation Odyssey Dawn, being just days, not weeks. When the official hand over to NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) takes place on Thursday, it will be a week and a half since the coalition military action began. Remember, Obama swore to Congress it was only going to be “…days, not weeks.”

What about NATO? First of all, the United States created NATO in 1949. The United States has been behind the push to expand NATO since the demise of the Soviet Union in 1991.  By the way the Soviet Union was why NATO was created, so why is NATO still around 20 years after the Soviet Union ceased to exist? Because the United States wanted to keep it around.

Who runs NATO, literally? The United States. United States Navy Admiral James Stavridis is the current military commander of NATO.  In other words; Obama is NOT handing off control of Odyssey Dawn, it is still under the control of the U.S.

By the way, this is why French President Sarkozy did not want NATO to take over. So far each “coalition” member has been doing their own thing. No real coordination.  Sarkozy did not want France to lose direct control of their military action against Libya. By Sarkozy is the one who pushed everyone to pass the UNSCR 1973.

A Pentagon spokesperson explained that the real reason to turn things over to NATO, was money. The U.S. doesn’t have the money to continue most of the actual military action. By shifting to NATO, most of the military action will carried out, AND PAID FOR, by other members of NATO.  NATO will still be run by the United States.

Now what about the name of this military action against the Libyan government?  “Operation Odyssey Dawn”:  Odyssey means a very long trip. Dawn usually refers to the start, or beginning, of something.  Mmmm, beginning of a very long trip? Can you say Freudian slip?

Lies, lies and more lies!

More proof Libya war is about oil, ‘Peaceful’ Rebels targeting oil towns

President Obama, Prime Minister Cameron, President Sarkozy all say the military action against Libya is about protecting peaceful civilians. It interesting that those peaceful civilians are attacking OIL towns.

That’s right, those peaceful rebels are not trying to implement regime change, they’re trying to take over all the oil towns.

Here’s a list of the cities ‘peaceful’ rebels have taken, or are attacking: Ajdabiya, Ras Lanuf, As Sidra, Benghazi, Brega and Misratah.  All these cities are connected to the oil industry in some way.

In Egypt, and Tunis, truly peaceful protesters focused their efforts in their country’s capitols. They wanted to be in the face of their unresponsive governments. Yet, almost from the start, what is happening in Libya is armed rebels attacking oil fields and oil cities. This is an all out military action, NOT peaceful protest!

In the last week of February China began evacuating their oil field workers from Libya, because they were being attacked by armed “gangs”.  These gangs deliberately destroyed all the Chinese equipment. These are not ‘peaceful’ protesters.

Rebel leaders, and Libyan arms dealers working in Egypt, have admitted that from early on they were being armed by the West.  President Obama, where are the peaceful Libyan protesters?

Britain facing larger and more violent protests, thanks to budget cuts and war with Libya

Thousands of people took to the streets in London, on March 26. Police were attacked with paint bombs and ammonia bombs.  Businesses were attacked, even delivery trucks.  The Cause? Huge budget cuts for schools and health care, and War.

“It’s been ten years now that we’ve been intervening in wars. We had the war in Afghanistan, then we had Iraq, now suddenly is a third theater of war. At the same time [the British government] says it hasn’t got enough money for the welfare that people in this country need. And they say everybody has to make sacrifices. Well may be we should not be spending 800,000 pounds per missile. How many libraries, how many nurseries, how many young people sent to school we could fund?”-Lindsey German, protester

CNN has incorrectly reported that the protests were organized by trade unions. The truth is that Saturday’s protests had been planned for a while. The trade unions decided to join in after the U.K. government decided to attack Libya. Saturday’s protest was made up of people from college students to health care providers to skilled laborers. What all the protesters want to know is; if the government doesn’t have the money for schools and hospitals, or to promote job growth, where is the money coming from for the war against Libya?

Police say they arrested 157 people. 35 people, including 5 police officers, were injured.

NATO comes together, agrees to take over from U.S. against Libya, still no unified plan

Hillary Clinton said that NATO members have agreed to take over the military lead in the action against Libya.

She also admitted that there is no unified military plan among the coalition forces.  “All 28 allies have also now authorized military authorities to develop an operations plan for NATO to take on the broader civilian protection mission.”- Secretary of State Hillary Clinton

Can you say: Ad Hoc, last minute, willie nillie, rushed, haphazard, last minute lack of planing?
