125% increase in rent! “I have businesses….telling me they’re going to close!” Year old ObamaCare hospital shutdown killing entire city! “We cannot succeed with ‘business as usual.'”: U.S. Job Losses & Store Closings, 02 July 2015

Incomplete list of publicly announced layoffs & shutdowns:

Arizona: In Tucson, after eight years On a Roll Sushi restaurant shutdown.  The landlord put the building up for sale and the restaurant owner is sure any new landlord will jack up his rent, so he’s getting out now as his lease is almost up.

California: The city of Eureka shutdown Humboldt Bay Fire Station 4.  The Fire Chief is also being forced to retire early, under the implied promise that nobody else would lose their job.  In Los Angeles, after ten years Sushi Central shutting down by the end of the month due to the greedy landlord selling the property.

Connecticut: Greenwich based Too Big to Jail AlphaBridge Capital Management hit with a $5-million SEC fine, and will now start killing jobs because the SEC has barred the owners from doing business for the next three years!

Georgia: Law firm Morris Schneider Wittstadt bankrupt busted and shutting down, 480 jobs lost!  It’s connected to the loss of $30-million USD apparently embezzled by a managing partner.

Hawaii: The University of Hawaii is refusing to re-open the the Mauna Kea summit road and visitor center.  The road was originally shutdown by people protesting the University’s Thirty Meter Telescope on the Mount.  University administrators say they can’t open the road until they’re sure it’s safe, fearing the protestors had sabotaged the road.  Now eight tour guide companies are warning they will be forced to shutdown and layoff employees.

Kentucky: Bankrupt food producer Gourmet Express was sold off, and now their Muhlenberg County factory is shutdown, at least 81 jobs lost.

Maryland: Armored bank truck maker Dunbar Armor laying off 1-hundred people in August!  It’s blamed on the loss of their Too Big to Jail Bank of America contract.  In Gaitherburg, Largent’s restaurant shutdown, the chef blamed “a variety of reasons”.

Michigan:  The Royal Park Hotel’s 11 years old Brookshire restaurant shutdown, because it became “passé”.  Coldwater Board of Education eliminated 17 jobs, blaming the loss of 625 students since the 2000-01 school year.  In Greenville, three businesses shutting down at the same time; Springrove Variety store, Cottage Porch Gift Shoppe and Anne’s Pet Shoppe.  The owner-manager of Springrove Variety says many customers are still ignorant of the bad the economy: “We’ve been struggling for quite awhile now. Our regulars have a hard time understanding. Everybody’s just disappointed.”-Kristin Sprenger

MInnesota: A leaked internal memo revealed that American Public Media Group is about to eliminate jobs at its Minnesota Public Radio ops.  Among other things the memo stated “We will eliminate and change positions in some departments….We cannot succeed with ‘business as usual.'” In Hutchinson, after seven years video game store GameStop shutdown with little warning.  Cafe co-op Jefferson People’s House shutdown because “Our team has simultaneously discovered new opportunities and have decided as a collective to dissolve Jefferson People’s House to put our energies into new, exciting projects.”

New Jersey: Dale and Thomas Popcorn issued a WARN saying they will shutdown their Englewood popcorn factory in August, the remaining 53 jobs lost.  56 employees were laid off a few months ago, the company is moving operations to Indiana.

Whole Foods Markets had gained the nickname Whole Paycheck because of their outrageous prices (it’s amazing that sheeple NYCers shopped there at all) and the executives in charge revealed that yes indeed they were overcharging customers. But don’t give those A-Holes a break, they called the overcharging “mistakes” and would have never admitted to it if it weren’t for the fact they were being investigated by the city’s Department of Consumer Affairs, who called it “the worst case of overcharges that they have ever seen.” And to top things, those evil Whole Foods Market execs went as far as to imply blame on their employees by saying employees will be retrained in proper pricing of food! The Department of Consumer Affairs also revealed that 77% of grocery stores in NYC are overcharging customers in some way, but since 2010 NYC has chalked up 8-hundred violations against Whole Foods Market, way more than any other grocery chain. Yeah right Whole Paycheck-Whole Foods, overcharging customers since 2010 is not the result of “mistakes”.

North Carolina: After 22 years, non-profit local business start-up support company Hand Made in America shutdown blaming lack of funding.  The city of Belhaven says the ObamaCare shutdown of their Vidant Pungo Hospital one year ago is about to kill-off their entire economy: “We have a situation where we have our largest employer that closed down, all the people who came to Belhaven every day to the hospital don’t come anymore. I have businesses talking to me telling me they’re going to close! The revenues we used to get from the hospital aren’t there anymore!”-Adam O’Neal, mayor

Pennsylvania: The 41 years old Granite Run Mall is now officially dead!  Only the anchor and exterior stores are open, but news reports say all leases have expired which means they could walk a way at any time.  In 2013 JCPenney said they would remain to be part of the new shopping plaza that would replace Granite Run mall, but that’s changed and they’re now shutting down their 39 years old Granite Run Mall store.

Ohio: Two of Ohio’s ten Developmental Centers  being shutdown between now and next year, hundreds of jobs already lost and hundreds of families affected!  State ‘lawmakers’ say the number of people using the service has dropped by 7-hundred over the past eight years, so they’re not willing to keep all ten centers open.

Texas:  In Austin, after 35 years the Dallas Nightclub dance venue shutting down in September, the owners didn’t explain why.   God refuses to stop ‘his’ Oak Cliff United Methodist Church from shutting down. The congregation of 128 people blame outrageous electricity costs (about $300-thousand per year) and $3-million in needed repairs.  In the wealthy area known as North Dallas, The Dog Stop hot dog joint shutdown: “My lease is up and the landlords want to tear down this building. I don’t know where I am going to go after this. I put a sign in the window and people are very sad. They love to drive through with their kids. I didn’t know how much they cared until now.”-Yon Kim, owner of 13 years old hot dog eatery

Virginia: Dominion Virginia Power shutting down their oil burning  Yorktown power plant by 2020, at least 108 jobs lost!  This is on top of their plans to shutdown their coal fired plants.  The power company says the cost to modify the electricity factories to meet new U.S. EPA standards doesn’t make it worth while to stay in the business.

The FTC has OKd the $8.5-billion takeover of Family Dollar by Dollar Tree. Will it affect this Chubbuck, Idaho, Family Dollar store?

Reports say Chesapeake based Dollar Tree will become the owner of Family Dollar on 06 July.  Expect store shutdowns and mass layoffs.

Washington: Penryn Farm U-Pick berry farm shutting down because the evil insurance industry (specifically State Farm) threatened to cancel their home insurance.  State Farm has labeled the hobby farm (which doesn’t make enough money to cover the actual costs of growing the berries) a “business” and wants the owners to pay for more costly business insurance.

Washington DC:  After 12 years clothier Urban Chic is shutting down their upper Wisconsin Avenue store by the end of the month, despite recently remodeling the store.  The operator blames competition, and even admitted to local news that she knew a full year ago that the store would shutdown.  In an interview with MSNBC U.S. Department of Education secretary Arne Duncan might have revealed an ulterior motive for shutting down fraudulent Corinthian Colleges; the Obama regime has now become the collector of all debts owed to the college by the ripped off students under the guise of “protecting taxpayers”!

Chris Hayes MSNBC: “The Department of Education has announced a loan forgiveness program, but…it requires onerous steps to jump through, why not just offer the students….a blanket debt forgiveness?”

Arne Duncan Obama regime Department of Education: “…we are thrilled to be able to close down Corinthian….despite stiff opposition from Congress…we’ve been working on this since 2009…we’re working with a number of students…we’ve also brought in a special ‘master’[he failed to explain this special master thing]...this is new work for us [wait, didn’t he just say they’ve been working on this since 2009?]”  Despite all the rehtoric Duncan used during the MSNBC interview he failed to actually explain why they’re treating students like crap.

Consumer groups suspect fraud on the part of the Obama regime: “Why would Secretary Duncan be thrilled to shut down Corinthian if there wasn’t systemic fraud? It tells you everything you need to know that his department continues to collect on Corinthian students’ debts when he could, under current law, erase it this very moment with a stroke of the pen.”– Debt Collective, representing 2-hundred former Corinthian students

Wisconsin: Too Big to Jail Anchor BanCorp (Anchor Bank) revealed it bought out 78 employees (Voluntary Separation Plan), 23 employees laid off outright, sold a branch office and shutdown six others.  Administrators blame crashing transaction volumes.

The U.S. Department of Labor (DoL) no longer issues mass layoff reports: “On March 1, 2013, President Obama ordered into effect the across-the- board spending cuts (commonly referred to as sequestration) required by the Balanced Budget and Emergency Deficit Control Act, as amended. Under the order, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) must cut its current budget by more than $30 million, 5 percent of the current 2013 appropriation, by September 30, 2013. In order to help achieve these savings and protect core programs, the BLS will eliminate two programs, including Mass Layoff Statistics, and all ‘measuring green jobs’ products. This news release is the final publication of monthly mass layoff survey data.”

Illinois: “Homie don’t play that!” Obama stooge Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel and Chicago Public Schools announced 1-thousand 4-hundred job cuts after being forced to make a $634-million  ObamaCare retirement fund payment!  The highly edumacated idjiot golutes borrowed the money to make the retirement fund payment, but says it’s coming outta the hides of 1-thousand 4-hundred employees who will now become unemployed!  The Chicago Teachers Union directly blames the Obama regime appointed school board: “This is a handpicked school board. It’s an appointed school board. The responsibility for this goes to the person who runs the school board, which is the mayor. These are the financial policies this mayor has pursued over the course of the years, where they’ve consistently left revenue on the table.”-Jesse Sharkey, vice president

We understand that. It’s not one particular group…it’s the fact they get to dictate to us, across the board, how to run our organization or different organization or ministries.”-David Burrows, church leader just now waking up to the fact that they must “Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar’s…..” (Matthew 22:21)

Incomplete list of announced United States food supply shutdowns for the month of June, 2015: Many food suppliers/distributors are consolidating operations and killing jobs due to the collapsing grocery store and restaurant industries, as well as rising costs of food production, and spread of disease.

A recently published study in Mexico says H5N2 has been present in that country for the past 15 years.  One of the conclusions of the controlled study (involving the intentional infection of chickens and ducks with the 2007 strain of H5N2) was that domestic Peking ducks seem to be carriers of the virus, showing no signs of infection.   Also, duck embryos are more susceptible to infection than chicken embryos.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture confirms more than 49-million poultry have been terminated due to infection or exposure to H5N2 influenza virus!  The USDA is now allowing eggs to be shipped in from some European countries, after the American Bakers Association stated they’re being forced “…to shut down lines or shut down production altogether…Or two, find a substitute for eggs.”  The USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service admitted that they don’t know how poultry, and now wild birds, are getting sick: “…cannot…associate HPAI transmission with one factor or group of factors in a statistically significant way at this time……a likely cause….sharing of equipment between an infected and noninfected farm, employees moving between infected and noninfected farms, lack of cleaning and disinfection of vehicles moving between farms, and reports of rodents or small wild birds inside poultry houses….”

The U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued a warning saying the H5N2 outbreak “may increase the likelihood of human infection in the United States”.

Chinese border administrators reporting that frozen meat as old as 40 years is being smuggled into their country through the new U.S. ally Vietnam.  Chinese administrators did not openly blame the United States, but pointed out that some of the meat was sold by websites claiming that the meat is coming from the U.S.   China banned U.S. beef in 2003 due to mad cow disease outbreaks.  Border agents told news media it was easy to find the illegal meat (including beef, pork & poultry): “It was too smelly. A truck full of it. I almost threw up when the door opened.”– Zhang Tao

Arkansas: Switzerland based Nestlé laid off 75 people at its Gerber Fort Smith baby food factory.  Administrators claim its because they switched to using plastic baby food containers.

Coco’s was sold to a competitor.  In Phoenix yet another restaurant shutdown, this time Kincaid’s Classic American Dining closing in July after 14 years. The owners blamed years of city construction work which put their sales into a death spiral by blocking customer access to their establishment.   In Scottsdale, the Bamboo Club shutdown as well as Frasher’s Steakhouse and Lounge (it’s supposedly moving to Phoenix).  Also in Scottsdale, after 19 years restaurant Los Olivos shutdown its Sonora Village Shopping Center, due to the new property owner. The shopping center was sold for $2-million USD, and the new owner signed a new lease with an as yet undisclosed tenant to move into the Los Olivos space.  In Arcadia, the Milagro Grill shutdown.   In Tucson, after 13 years the Chantilly Tea Room and Gift Boutique shutdown. The owner is hoping the sale of the building will get her enough cash to open a new establishment.  State Department of Agriculture investigating reports that chicken, quail and partridge eggs in Pinal, Mohave, Santa Cruz and Yavapai counties tested positive for H5N2. State inspectors blame ignorant farmers and the internet for the spread of H5N2 to The Grand Canyon State: “Bird enthusiasts and breeders who are shopping on the Internet need to take care when ordering. These birds and eggs came from a state where avian influenza is rampant, responsible for the loss of millions of turkeys and hens. If you are importing birds or eggs into the state, check the list of states with avian influenza, and do not bring birds or eggs from them to protect your flock and others.”-Perry Durham, state veterinarian

We modified the store hours…and implemented several cost-control measures in order to drive sales. Apparently those bees were on their way to Montana farms.  On state highway 33, near the nuclear INL site, 20-million bees heading to North Dakota farms were lost when the truck and trailer tipped over while trying to avoid hitting a car.  One news report says firefighters killed the bees with foam.  The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) declared Clark and Jefferson counties drought disaster areas.  There are now 15 Idaho counties qualifying for drought disaster loan assistance programs.  Last month the state Department of Agriculture denied H5N2 was in The Gem State (at least since January when the last flock of infected chickens were killed off), but now they’ve banned ducks and other waterbirds from county fairs.  KPVI reports that Franklin County farmers, who rely on irrigation, are struggling with invasive mussels.  The foreign quagga mussels are clogging the irrigation pipes, cutting off precious water for the crops (Idaho is in the grips of a 15 years long drought).  Franklin County, working with state ag administrators, has begun boat inspection at local reservoirs.  In southwestern Idaho, state health and wildlife administrators are warning of the plague as many dead voles and ground squirrels have tested positive for Yersinia pestis bacteria, so far one human and one dog are being treated for the disease.  More trouble for southeast Idaho wheat growers.  The University of Idaho reports that a difficult to diagnose blight called Leaf Spot is reducing wheat yields by 10%.  Leaf Spot prevents the plants from absorbing nutrients. UoI ag experts working in Arbon Valley say most farmers do not know about it, and when they see crop damage they assume it’s a fungus and spray fungicides, instead they should treat the soil with chloride.  In Boise, the Chili’s restaurant on West Franklin Road (near Boise Towne Square mall) shutting down. The Montana based franchise owner says they are getting outta Boise and moving to Nampa.  The Boise Co-Op voluntarily shutdown after 30 people tested positive for salmonella after eating food from the store’s delicatessen.  State inspectors said the grocery store has not violated any health codes.

I spoke with Curtis McCall yesterday in his office personally and asked why am I being put on administrative leave and the purpose of us vacating the building and he told me ‘Due to future litigation I cannot comment at this time.’” The food bank feeds 1-thousand 2-hundred people every month!  Local news reports say representatives of other food banks told them that somebody was making threatening phone calls to them, implying they were with the Cahokia Community Basket.   After 65 years the Indiana Harbor Dairy Queen shutdown. The property owner swears another restaurant is moving in.   In Cedar Rapids, Smuggler’s Warf Big Bam Boo Bar shutdown. Months after cutting work hours to 30 hours per week (in-line with avoiding ObamaCare mandated benefits, but of course they didn’t say that) administrators announced they must eliminate 215 jobs across the U.S.! Employees say administrators gave them no warning (which is typical and I’m still amazed how many sheeple workers in the U.S. are shocked that their employers can kill their jobs without warning). Florida:  Walmart announced it will temporarily re-open its shuttered store 3436 (in Brandon, shutdown under the guise of “plumbing problems” along with half dozen other stores across the U.S.), but only for the Xmas season.  Administrators claim they’ve made the necessary repairs and admitted their Brandon had the highest number of customer complaints about the toilets.  But the real reason for the shutdown was that Walmart created a 4,000 square feet booze store inside the building.  You know the economy is bad when Walmart starts selling hard-drinks.  Even the rich are cutting back on spending!  Upscale grocer Epicure Gourmet Market & Cafe shutdown its one and a half years old Coral Gables store.  Local news said employees reported that maybe 50 customers visit the store per day.

Illinois: Canadian retail analysts say the writing is on the wall for Hoffman Estates based Sears Holdings“The next seven quarters are ‘make it or break it’ for Sears Canada. Our current view is that an operating turnaround is improbable.”-Keith Howlett, Desjardins

Louisiana: Oil giant Chevron confirmed it is shutting down its Lafayette office by the end of 2016, at least 3-hundred jobs affected!  This shutdown is an indicator of how long the petroleum industry expects the relatively low oil prices (they’re still not as low as when I first learned to drive, and the oil companies were making big profits then!) to last.  Laplace Sears Hometown Store shutting down in July after the franchise owner told local news that it wasn’t worth renewing the license with Sears Holdings.

Main: In Bath, after 57 years Gilmore Seafood shutting down at the beginning of July.  The owner said he was made an offer he couldn’t refuse by a property developer, allowing him to retire.

Minnesota: HVAC maker Nortek-Mammoth announced they will layoff 64 people at their Eden Prairie HQ in July.

Missouri:  HVAC maker Nortek-Nordyne shutdown their Boonville factory, at least 240 jobs lost!  Nordyne shutdown their Poplar Bluff factory in 2014, 5-hundred jobs lost!  News reports say at one time both HVAC factories employed more than 7-hundred people!  The company moved production to Mexico!  Nortek-Mammoth shutting down their Springfield factory.  The Saint Louis Post-Dispatch laid off eight employees.  The newspaper is apparently also asking for voluntary resignations.

New York: Proof the internet is not killing brick-n-mortar stores; NYC based Barnes & Noble booksellers revealed that not only are their brick-n-mortar store sales crashing, but so are their internet store sales including a 40% crash in Nook sales!

North Dakota: The Obama regime’s Army Corps of Engineers shutdown the Jamestown shooting range, claiming people are shooting into nearby buildings and signs.  The local United Sportsman are pissed because they spent their own time and money maintaining the shooting range.  Local cops are pissed as well: “It’s huge! It leaves us with no place to train!”-Scott Edinger, Jamestown Police Chief

Ohio: Tiffin Sears Hometown Store shutting down in July, after Sears Holdings admitted they had failed to find a new franchise owner.  Local news reports say the store had two previous owners who quit because it wasn’t worth it.

Pennsylvania: In Harvey’s Lake, after 78 years the town’s last general store, Javers Store, shutdown.  The owners sold the property to help fund their retirement.  In Philadelphia, Joe Varalli’s Italian seafood restaurant shutdown by property developers.  Perch Pub shutting down in Spring 2016, due to property developers.  Mama Angelina’s Pizza also shutting down.  The building that houses all those eateries was sold to property developers who want to tear it down.   Simply Shabu Chinese hot pot restaurant shutdown, fans blamed its location.  The Wawa sandwich joint & fuel station shutdown their 11th and Arch Street store due to “circumstances beyond our control”.

Rhode Island: Providence based Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioner maker Nortek shutting down its Mammoth HVAC factory in Saskatoon, Canada.  Nortek owns/controls several smaller HVAC companies throughout North America, and is moving/consolidating operations to Oregon,  Quebec (Canada) and Mexico.  ObamaCare vampires forcing non-profit Rhode Island Blood Center to layoff 60 people.  Administrators say changes caused by ‘health care reform’ will increase their costs of testing for blood-borne disease by at least $2-million per year!

Texas: After ten years Yum Yum Cha Cafe shutdown in Houston because of the greedy landlord.  After 24 years Martin’s Berry Patch shutdown: “It’s just gotten to be too much work and me and my wife’s health hasn’t been too good. I’m really going to miss the people. Berry pickers are the best people out there.”-Jack Martin

Virginia: In Charlottesville, after 40 years spiritual Quest Bookshop shutdown without warning.  The owner said she tried to sell the building for years but “No one wanted to take it over…”

26 June 2015: Walmart charges manufacturers for the ‘privilege’ of selling their products!

WARN=Worker Adjustment & Retraining Notification

Sears Kmart closing update 27 June 2015: “…turnaround is improbable.” More Hometown stores going down as franchise owners rebel! Canada loses more Sears stores!

Louisiana losing a franchised owned Sears Hometown in July.  Like most franchise owners, the owner told local news that it wasn’t worth renewing the license with Sears Holdings.

Ohio losing a Sears Hometown Store in July.  In this case, Sears Holdings decided to shut it down because they were not able to find anybody willing to become the new franchise owner.  Local news reports say the store had two previous owners who quit because it wasn’t worth it.

In Canada, Sears Holdings has shutdown two more franchise stores in North Sydney and in Cape Breton.  Local news reports indicate it’s because nobody is willing to become a sucker franchise owner of a rip-off Sears store!

In other news reports out of The Great White North, Sears is now in critical condition: “The next seven quarters are ‘make it or break it’ for Sears Canada. Our current view is that an operating turnaround is improbable.”-Keith Howlett, Desjardins

Incomplete list of publicly announced layoffs & shutdowns:

Arizona: In Phoenix yet another restaurant shutdown, this time Kincaid’s Classic American Dining closing in July after 14 years.  The owners blamed years of city construction work which put their sales into a death spiral by blocking customer access to their establishment.  Also in Phoenix two TV stations merged, KPHO and KTVK, resulting in 14 jobs being eliminated.

Arkansas: Bentonville based Walmart just became even more evil.  Greedy administrators are now charging manufacturers for the privilege of selling their products! It’s being done under the guise of charging a stocking-storage fee for ‘warehousing inventory’!  Analysts say Walmart administrators are trying to offset crashing sales and employee pay raises.

Michigan: Flint School District laid off more employees, this time 55 teachers. Another 16 employees retired. Because of what I call Disappearing Students Syndrome, and the increased cost of health insurance caused by ObamaCare, the school district is trying to cut $5.8-million!  The new owner of Hiller’s Market grocery stores, Kroger, announced that Hiller’s stores in Ann Arbor, Plymouth and South Lyon will shutdown immediately!  Hiller’s stores in West Bloomfield and Northville have already been shutdown!

Oklahoma: Reports say the World’s largest oil service company, Texas based Schlumberger, laid off even more employees at their Bartlesville factory. The number of people laid off is not know and are supposedly on top of the 20-thousand global layoffs announced in April.

Pennsylvania: Olney Charter High School eliminating 36 jobs including the principal.  Employees say it’s retaliation for them forming their own union.

Texas: God refuses to stop ‘his’ Oak Cliff United Methodist Church from shutting down.  The pastor says the building needs at least $3-million in repairs, but the 120 church members cannot afford it and voted to shut it down.  In Wichita Falls, the WDS Global-Xerox call center shutting down “because it is no longer sustainable.”  257 jobs lost by August!  News reports say back in 2012 the call center employed 423 people, apparently 171 jobs had already been eliminated before the shutdown announcement, and this after city administrators gave WDS Global $3-million in tax breaks and cold hard taxpayer cash!

Virginia: Sweden based mining engineering company Sandvik announced it’s shutting down its Bristol factory and moving to Mexico.   Administrators blame the crashing U.S. mining industry, 74 U.S. jobs lost by the end of 2016.

WARN=Worker Adjustment & Retraining Notification

Human Rights Record of the United States in 2014

Civil rights are threatened by rampant violent crimes. According to the “Crime in the United States” released by the FBI, there were an estimated 1,163,146 violent crimes reported to law enforcement in 2013, of which 14,196 are murders, 79,770 are rapes, 345,031 robberies and 724,149 aggravated assaults (http://www.fbi.gov.) There were an estimated 367.9 violent crimes per 100,000 inhabitants in 2013. The Market Watch announced 10 most dangerous cities in America (www.marketwatch.com, November 20, 2014)). The lowest ranking of the ten was Birmingham in Alabama, where 1,345 crimes were reported for every 100,000 residents, while in Detroit, 2,072 violent crimes were reported for 100,000 residents, the highest in the nation in 2013. In 2014, Los Angeles’s overall total of violent crimes was up 7.6 percent by early October, compared with the same time in 2013 (The Los Angeles Times, October 4, 2014). There was about 1,500 violent crimes registered a month in 2014. Meanwhile, gang violence in the U.S. was at an all time high. There were currently an estimated 1.7 million gang members spread throughout the country (www.insidermonkey.com, November 1, 2014).

Police officers were ignoring sex crimes on a regular basis. A report released in November by the inspector general of New Orleans found that of 1,290 sex crime calls for service assigned to five New Orleans police detectives from 2011 to 2013, 840 were designated as miscellaneous, and nothing at all was done (The New York Times, November 13, 2014).

Police and prosecutors were allowing tens of thousands of wanted felons to escape justice merely by crossing a state border (The USA Today, March 12, 2014).

The Wall Street Journal reported on December 3, 2014, that many of the law enforcement agencies did not submit the statistics about killings by police when enforcing laws to the FBI. The report found at least 1,800 police killings took place in 105 police departments between 2007 and 2012. The Associated Press reported on December 7, 2014 that at least 400 deaths happened every year as a result of the law enforcement activities by the U.S. police officers, most of who were not prosecuted. And some police officers had repeated killings on record, though they were investigated for every case. There were 55 police officers who were sued at least 10 times with one being sued for 28 times. Los Angeles Times reported on September 14 that since 2004 a committee reviewed 809 complaints of excessive force or misconduct at the Southwest border, but no police officers had been punished.

The Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board, an independent federal privacy watchdog, concluded that the National Security Agency’s (NSA) program to bulk phone call records was illegal (The New York Times, January 23, 2014).

Prisons in the U.S. were crowded and violence and deaths there were increasing. According to a report titled “Prisoners in 2013” by the Bureau of Justice Statistics, U.S. state and federal correctional facilities held an estimated 1,574,700 prisoners on December 31, 2013, an increase of 4,300 prisoners from yearend 2012 (www.bjs.gov, September 16, 2014).

….violence in prisons was occurring frequently. In 2012, 4,309 inmates died while in the custody of local jails or state prisons (www.bjs.gov, October 9, 2014). The number of deaths in local jails increased, from 889 in 2011 to 958 in 2012. In Rikers Island, a vast New York City jail complex, the use of force by correction officers jumped nearly 240 percent over the last decade since 2004 (The New York Times, March 19, 2014). In the Julia Tutwiler Prison in Alabama, there was a large amount of complaints about the sex abuse and harassment involving guards and supervisors. However, state investigators time and again classified the complaints as unfounded or unsubstantiated and often recommended that the matters be closed without further action (The Washington Post, October 6, 2014).

Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter said that the world sees “a democracy that’s not working” (www.usatoday.com, October 11, 2013). It revealed the institutional root for the fact that the political rights of U.S. citizens had not been effectively protected.

Money is still a deciding factor for the U.S. politics…..The influence of average Americans on the election results diminished (www.usatoday.com, November 2, 2014).

The voting rights in the U.S. are restricted by economic income, race and other factors, and many citizens were prevented from voting.

According to a report by the Huffington Post on December 2, 2014, only nine percent of Americans approved of Congress in the weeks leading up to the midterms elections (www.huffingtonpost.com, December 2, 2014).

The living conditions for homeless people continuously deteriorated; the income and property gaps caused by distribution inequality continued to enlarge; ordinary people’s rights of health and education could not be well ensured as relative resources were more frequently used to serve the rich.

The U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives overwhelmingly targeted racial and ethnic minorities as it expanded its use of controversial drug sting operations. At least 91 percent of the people agents have locked up using those stings were racial or ethnic minorities, and nearly all were either black or Hispanic (www.usatoday.com, July, 20, 2014).

Child laborers were engaged in dangerous works. American Labor Law allows juniors to work, as long as his or her parents consent and the work does not directly conflict with school hours. That means, it is perfectly legal for a 12-year-old to work 50 or 60 hours a week in tobacco fields. Based on interviews with 141 child tobacco workers, aged 7 to 17, in the country’s four largest tobacco-producing states: North Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee and Virginia, nearly three-quarters of children interviewed reported feeling sick – with nausea, vomiting, headaches, dizziness, difficulty in breathing, or other serious symptoms while working in tobacco fields. Many of these symptoms were consistent with acute nicotine poisoning (www.politico.com, September 16, 2014).

In the field of international human rights, the U.S. has long refused to approve some core human rights conventions of the United Nations and voted against some important UN human rights resolutions. More than that, the U.S. continued to go even further to violate human rights in other countries, including infringing on the privacy of citizens of other countries with the overseas monitoring project, killing large number of innocent civilians of other countries in drone strikes, and raping and killing locals by U.S. soldiers garrisoned overseas.

Global Food Crisis: Major insurance company says prepare for World War F!

24 June 2015 (12:35 UTC-07 Tango 01)/03 Tir 1394/07 Ramadan 1436/09 Ren-Wu (5th month) 4713

F = Food

“Food security has a major influence on national and international politics. A globalised world and food system means that it is a system particularly vulnerable to governments and businesses succumbing to panic, hoarding foods or limiting exports. In the past, non-governmental/ intergovernmental organisations have measured and managed the risks faced by vulnerable populations. Now, insurance is well placed to play a large role in progress and in enhancing food production, processing and trading systems – by providing effective risk management advice and expertise, as well as risk transfer.”-Feast or Famine: Business and Insurance Implications of Food Safety and Security

Milan, Italy, is hosting the Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life expo until October.  One organization attending is the iconic British empire Lloyd’s of London who recently issued a dire warning, titled Feast or Famine: Business and Insurance Implications of Food Safety and Security.

Lloyd’s analyst warn of skyrocketing food prices and crashing economies caused by population booms, lack of water and other resources, and the threat of a new form of terrorism that targets food supplies.  The result, they say, will be food riots around the World.

As an insurance company Lloyd’s is concerned with the growing risk of providing agricultural insurance, yet is so arrogant about their service that they think insurance is “vital to increasing agricultural production”.

Another danger that Lloyd’s is pushing as the answer to all our prayers is the creation of more and more GMO crops!  (surprisingly there are a vast number of sheeple who still don’t know what GMO is)

Lloyd’s is pushing the idea of forcing everybody involved in the food supply chain to have insurance.  But how does Lloyd’s propose replacing damaged or destroyed or lost food stuffs?  With money?  If there ain’t no food it doesn’t matter how much money you have.

Idaho wheat unfit for human consumption?!

When He broke the third seal, I heard the third living creature saying, “Come.” I looked, and behold, a Black Horse; and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. And I heard something like a voice in the center of the four living creatures saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; but do not damage the oil and the wine.”
