World War 3: USAF cancels deal with Brazil, over new trainer/COIN aircraft. Will award contract to company that didn’t even take part in the competition!

The U.S. Air Force has canceled a contract with the winner of a competition for the USAF’s new trainer aircraft.

Brazil’s Embraer Defense and Security, along with U.S. company Sierra Nevada, won the contract for the counter insurgency (COIN) aircraft deal in December 2011, for the A-29 Super Tucano.

There are rumors that a company that did not take part in the bidding could get the contract.  Hawker Beechcraft has filed a lawsuit over the whole issue.

The decision to cancel the contract with Brazil could be more about the growing power of the South American country, and its membership in CELAC.

Don’t think awarding the contract to Hawker Beechcraft would create more U.S. jobs. Officials with Sierra Nevada said the contract would have allowed them to hire 1,200 people in Florida, compared to 1,400 with Hawker Beechcraft.

Government Evil: Britain allows 65 people per day to freeze to death! Number is three times what government officially reported!

“These figures are horrifying. You can’t call yourself a developed country and allow this many people to die from living in cold homes….These deaths are totally preventable. This is perhaps the greatest test of whether this government has an ounce of true compassion and moral fiber.”-Ed Matthew, Transform UK

An investigation revealed that the U.K. government lies about how many people die from freezing to death in their own homes!  Officially they said 2,700 people died in the winter of 2010/2011.  The actual number is more than 7,800!

More than 7,800 people allowed to freeze to death because they did not have the money to pay for home heating fuel!!!  That’s about 65 people per day!

The independent investigation used the UN’s World Heath Organization’s (WHO) Fuel Poverty death data. According to the U.K.’s Office of National Statistics 25,700 people died during the 2010/2011 winter.  The data from WHO says 30%-40% of those are directly attributed to people not being able to heat their homes.  That’s far more than the 10% estimate used by the lying and uncaring right wing warmongering monarchy loving British government.

“It is completely outrageous that the Big Six energy firms are able to rake in eye watering profits as people up and down the country are forced to choose between heating their homes and feeding their families! Through over charging customers, including the most vulnerable in society, the energy companies are driving people into fuel poverty!”-Caroline Lucas, Member of Parliament

Home heating fuel poverty is when a person has to spend 10% or more on their home heating.  Under that standard I think many people in the United States are suffering from Home Heating Fuel Poverty.

World War 3: 26% of English support Scottish Independence! Spain supports Scotland! Argentina will back Scotland’s fight for Independence!

A survey by NatCen Social Research British Social Attitudes, shows that 26% of the English support the separation of Scotland from the United Kingdom!

But that doesn’t mean the English like Scotts, no, it shows there is growing hatred of them!

31% say Scotland should no longer be allowed to vote on English policies.  44% say Scotland gets too much taxpayer money.

Scotland’s Humza Yousaf, a SNP (Scottish national Party) MSP (Member Scottish Parliament) for Glasgow, says the English are Incompetent: “The idea that Scotland gets more than its fair share of U.K. Government spending is…factually wrong…”

However, Yousaf says: “Independence for Scotland makes sense for all the people of Scotland and England.”

Over to mainland Europe: Spanish Foreign Minister, Jose Manuel Garcia-Margallo, has confirmed that his country will vote for an independent Scotland to become a member of the European Union!

Then way down South America way, Argentina has voiced support for Scotland’s independence. President Cristina Kirchner might send an official delegation to help Scotland celebrate the 700th anniversary of the Battle of Bannockburn, marking the victory of Robert the Bruce over the English in 1314.

Some analysts say the move is a way for Argentina to cause trouble in England’s backyard, if war were to break out over the Falklands/Malvinas Islands.

What Economic Recovery? & Corporate Evil: Nearly 1 million retirement plans destroyed, small companies could go bust

An investigation has revealed that investment firm, AIJ Investment Advisors Company, has lost most, or all, the money in retirement plans that affect more than 880,000 people!

More than half those plans are for people who’re still working.  The loss could actually force the companies they work for out of business!

Japan’s Labor Ministry says the Tokyo based investment firm lost the money belonging to 84 corporate retirement plans!  The majority of those plans  actually belong to medium and small businesses.

AIJ has been ordered to pay back those companies.  However, the Labor Ministry says if it can not, then under Japanese law those companies would have to come up with the retirement money on their own, and that could shut down some of the medium and small sized companies.

What Economic Recovery? S&P’s declares Greece in default of debt! Proof that re-negotiating your debt won’t save you!

February 27, 2012, Standard & Poor’s declares Greece to be in default!  S&P’s blamed it on the debt restructuring deal currently being negotiated.

Greek officials say they were expecting it. Other credit rating agencies are expected to do the same thing.  This makes Greece the first European Union member to default.

S&P’s explained that loan contracts state that loan restructuring is condition for default status: “As we have previously stated, we may view an issuer’s unilateral change of the original terms and conditions of an obligation as a de facto restructuring and thus a default by Standard & Poor’s published definition.”

What Economic Recovery: British officials admit there is no more money!

Chancellor George Osborne admits: “The British government has run out of money because all the money was spent in the good years, the money and the investment and the jobs need to come from the private sector.”

“Any tax cut would have to be paid for. In other words there would have to be a tax rise somewhere else or a spending reduction.  In other words what we are not going to do in this budget is borrow more money to either increase spending or cut taxes.”

Foreign Minister Jeremy Browne said: “Britain’s market share in the world used to be dominant but is now in freefall compared with the soaring economies of Asia and South America. This situation has been becoming more acute for years. It is now staring us in the face. So we need to take action”

What Economic Recovery: G20 says no more money for the IMF, until Greece makes even more draconian cuts! Wants U.S. to end Volcker Rules!

27 February 2012

The Group of 20 finance ministers and central bank chiefs, meeting in Mexico, said they will not provide the International Monetary Fund anymore money until Europe, specifically Greece, makes more even drastic government cuts.

This follows reports that the World Bank will issue a report warning China to privatize its remaning government held businesses.  Many analysts believe what the G20 really wants is total privatization of governments.

Yesterday I speculated that the problems of Greece are actually related to its lack of participation in the developing of the Leviathan gas and oil fields. Greece is also being pushed to privatize many government services.

The G20 also demanded that the United States back off of its Volcker banking rule, which was created to tighten the regulation of runaway too big to fail banks!  The Volcker rule is supposed to stop banks from using customer deposits to make investments strictly for the banks own profit! G20 officials claim the Volcker rule are interfering with international banking!

The Volcker rule doesn’t even go into effect until July, 2012!

Global Economic War: World Bank threatens China, more proof of conspiracy to privatize world governments!

The Wall Street Journal says a report titled China 2030, to be released on February 27, indicates that China’s booming economy will soon go bust if it doesn’t implement radical reforms.

The report comes from the World Bank, and a think tank supposedly connected to the Chinese government.

The China 2030 report will be released in China on Monday.  It calls for the officially communist Chinese government to sell off the last of its state owned businesses, possibly including its four major banks.

Allegedly the China 2030 report says China’s economy will begin to go bust by 2015, if it does not fully privatize its industries.

College student? Need Job? Japan needs You!

On February 25, 2012, a record number of Japanese companies held a conference to hire foreign college students.

145 companies held a conference in Tokyo, which attracted more than 3,000 students from China, South Korea and other Asian countries.

A rep for an auto parts maker said his company wants half of its new workers to be international students, especially since it is planning to increase operations outside of Japan.

Many hopeful college students were told that they should learn honorific Japanese expressions which are essential for conducting business in Japan.

Dengue Fever: Brazil worst hit, Pakistan launches campaign, Dengue survives cold temps, Bolivia on Red Alert, UN says efforts to fight disease failing, energy saving light bulbs spreading disease

“I consider Rio de Janeiro runs the risk of one of the worst epidemics, in number of cases of dengue in its history.”-Alexandre Padilha, Health Minister of Brazil

Brazil’s tourist city of Rio de Janeiro is being hit hard by type 4 Dengue fever.  So far there are more than 3,000 confirmed cases!  However, the rest of Brazil is actually seeing a huge 62% drop in cases (keep in mind that last year Brazil had 106,373 cases).

Across the world, Pakistani health officials (Rawalpindi Development Authority, Water and Sanitation Agency, the Parks and Horticulture Authority and the Health Department) have gone to war to prevent an outbreak of hemorrhagic Dengue fever.

Pesticides are being sprayed, and residents are being told how to fight the dengue carrying mosquitoes. A health official in Punjab said they now know that the dengue virus can be spread in cold winter temps.

Back over to South America, in Bolivia, the city of Santa Cruz confirmed 157 cases of dengue.  There are another 820 suspected cases. They have declared a red alert.

Also on February 25, the UN’s World Heath Organization reported that after 50 years of fighting the disease, cases of dengue in Thailand and Sri Lanka have only increased!

“The floods actually interrupted the Aeges aegypti’s life cycle and has resulted in a reduction in dengue.”-Sanphet Mahamard, Communicable Disease Control Department of Thailand

However, Thai officials say the massive flooding, at the end of 2011, has actually destroyed the breeding grounds of many of the dengue carrying mosquitoes.  So thanks to Mother Earth, they are already seeing a 36% drop in dengue cases (keep in mind that as of January 2012 Thailand has seen more than 1,000 cases and one death).

In Sri Lanka, officials are so determined to reduce dengue cases that they’re even going after business owners who don’t control mosquitoes on their property!

The Chief Technical Engineer of the railway yard of Sri Lanka Railways was fined, and is in prison, after 20 employees got sick, and one employee died, from dengue fever. Investigators discovered that railway officials did not conduct anti-mosquito programs on their property.

There is no vaccine (although Mexico is testing one of their own vaccines), and it turns out the mosquito eggs can survive a full year, even in cold temperatures.  Also, research showed that the mosquitoes are attracted to the light of energy saving florescent light bulbs.
