In October 2017, the U.S. Department of Defense-Defense Threat Reduction Agency’s (DTRA) Chemical and Biological Technologies Department revealed that they had been using bat DNA/genetics to try and create new vaccines!

The operation used Differential Gene Expression (DGE) to identify differences in human and bat immune responses. The DTRA’s Chemical and Biological Technologies Department focused on bats because they are considered to be carriers of all kinds of nasty diseases that can kill humans. They used the excuse of trying to create a vaccine to protect civilians and military personnel.
The October 2017 revelation was specifically focused on the Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), the study was published under the title Structural Basis for Human Respiratory Syncytial Virus NS1-Mediated Modulation of Host Responses. It was during this study that scientists discovered that RSV actually “fights back” against human immune responses.
