- Lead Draw Fire as seen from the north west side of ‘Old Town’ Pocatello (off North Main Street), Sunday evening.
- Smoke from the Lead Draw Fire, Mink Creek area south of Pocatello, Idaho. About 30 acres burned by Sunday evening. Wind was blowing it away from mountain homes, but the wind is mighty finicky in these here parts.
- The fire is just a few miles from the southern tip of the 2012 Charlotte Fire burn area.
- Several small aircraft were hard at work fighting the fire…
- …like this float plane Air Tractor. There were reports of two other fires near Malad. There is no road access to those fires.
- An area of the 2012 Charlotte Fire burn area, but this is looking west, the smoke in the sky is from a different fire!
- The setting Sun turned red by the smoke coming out of the west (looking towards Pocatello Airport). Is it from the wildfires burning in the Salmon-Challis National Forest?
- C-130 MAFFS (Modular Air Fire Fighting System) have been called in.
