World War 3: Israel builds concrete wall around their Embassy in Egypt

“It is very provoking because it only means one thing and that is the [Egyptian] government is still taking orders from Israel because building Apartheid walls like the ones in Palestine is Israel’s strategy to protect itself but the fact is walls never protect anyone as history shows.”-Dina Fergani, protestor

Israel is surrounding its large embassy compound in Egypt, with a huge concrete wall.  Egyptians are responding by protesting, and painting the wall with anti-Israeli slogans.  One protestor pointed out that the wall actual sits on public property.

The 100 meter (328 feet) long, three meter (9.8 feet) high wall is being built by an Egyptian contractor.

The Facebook page “A call for peeing on the wall before the Israeli Embassy” was created on September 6.  According to the page, the idea was inspired by Egypt’s use of water cannons to breach Israel’s Sinai fortifications during the 1973 war.
