“Peter the Roman, who will pasture his sheep in many tribulations, and when these things are finished, the city of seven hills will be destroyed, and the dreadful judge will judge his people. The End.”-attributed to Saint Malachy of Ireland

Catholic officials claim that the new Catholic Pope took the name of Francis of Assisi, because he loved poor people. The main streamer media says it’s to satisfy Italian Catholics. My research shows that the name choice could be in respect to Francis Xavier, who also ‘loved’ poor people, and that there is no reason for Pope Francis to take an ‘Italian’ name because he is Italian!
Both Assisi and Xavier are Saints in the Catholic church. Francis of Assisi founded the Franciscan Order. Francis Xavier was one of the founders of the Jesuits (Society of Jesus). The new Pope is a Jesuit.
Franciscans and Jesuits embrace poverty. Contrary to what many people think, this does not mean they are trying to elevate poverty. Francis of Assisi believed the poor life was the proper life for Christians. A co-founder of the Jesuits adopted the Biblical phrase “What will it profit a man to gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”
Francis of Assisi is associated with animals, especially birds. At one point during the election process for the new Pope, Sea Gulls were seen taking turns sitting on top of the signal chimney.
The new Pope Francis was born Jorge Mario Bergoglio (note the Italian middle and last names). He is considered an evangelical, meaning someone who wants to convert more people to their religion, or bring back members who’ve left. Both Francis of Assisi and Francis Xavier took part in evangelical missions, however Xavier’s evangelical efforts are far more numerous than anything Assisi did. In fact, Xavier is known as the Patron of Catholic Missions (it was Xavier who brought Christianity to South and East Asia).
Francis of Assisi is Patron of Italy, and the city of San Francisco U.S.A. Francis Xavier is Patron of dozens of countries and cities around the World. Both are recognized by other Christian churches.
Francis Xavier is associated with the burning heart, which is a strong theme in Latin America.
Francis of Assisi had to bring order to his own Franciscan organization, but, Xavier is the more skilled at organizing since he organized most of his long missionary missions around the World. Pope Francis is known for his organizational skills.
Assisi took part in some of the early policy reforms of the Catholic church, and it could be said that Xavier’s missionary work also reformed the church. Pope Francis is known for helping to reform the Argentine Catholic church.
Francis of Assisi (Italy) was born in France, his mother French, his father Italian. Francis Xavier was Spanish. Pope Francis was born in Argentina (Spanish dominated), his parents were immigrants from Italy (this shows the main streamer media’s ignorance, because he is of Italian descent and therefore does not need to take an Italian name to satisfy Italian Catholics).
So, Pope Francis is a ‘Roman’, by ancestry. That fits part of Catholic Saint Malachy’s alleged prophecy referring to the last Pope as Peter the Roman.
The announcement of this potentially last Pope took place in Saint Peter’s Square, from Saint Peter’s Basilica in the tiny country of Vatican.
Francis of Assisi is claimed to have exorcised the spirit of Brother Peter in the Porziuncola. The story goes that Brother Peter’s ghost was performing miracles (and what’s wrong with that?) and the gathering crowds were beginning to annoy the Franciscans, so Assisi commanded the ghost of Brother Peter to leave.
I’m sure as time goes by those who like speculating on ‘prophecies’ will find more ‘Peter’ connections.
But wait, there’s more. Both Francis of Assisi and Francis Xavier are associated with Evil by non-Christians.
The Franciscans took part in the Evil Crusades against Muslims, Jews and Eastern Christians (non-Catholics)!
Francis Xavier took part in the Evil Inquisition. The Inquisition saw thousands of people across Western Europe tortured and murdered because they were Muslims, Jews or ‘non-believers’! Xavier even asked the King of Portugal for help in bringing the Inquisition to India: “The second necessity for the Christians is that Your Majesty establish the Holy Inquisition in Goa because there are many who live according to the Jewish Law and according to the Mohammedan Sect, without any fear of God or shame of the World. And since there are many Hindus who are spread all over the fortresses, there is the need of the Holy Inquisition, and of many preachers. Your Majesty should provide such necessary things for your loyal and faithful subjects in the Indies.”
So for some people, Pope Francis could mean evil things to come.
