“The government, in response to the fears of Bolivian families about the risk of a shortage of strategic food for the population, as a preventive measure… in order to ensure food security and sovereignty, temporarily suspends the export of the following products: soybean, soybean meal, whole grain soybean flour, sugar, oil and beef.”-Néstor Huanca, Ministry of Productive Development and Plural Economy
The South American country of Bolivia has halted food exports, officially blaming it on supply problems.
The food export ban includes soy, sugar, cooking oil and beef. While the official reason is to avoid massive food shortages domestically, this follows deadly protests over across-the-board cuts in government funding for public services. It should be noted that while the government blames supply problems for the food export halt, government officials also stated that the export ban would end once the people stopped their protests against the government! A local newspapers quoted Néstor Huanca, Minister of Productive Development and Plural Economy, as blaming the protesters for “million in damages and losses” to the Bolivian economy, and that food exports will only resume once “normal supply conditions are restored”!
These protest also follow Bolivia’s Ministry of Productive Development and Plural Economy attempt to control inflation by capping domestic beef prices. In April of this year, there was also protests by retailers, over price increases by beef suppliers/producers. The beef producers blamed their raising of beef prices on new government regulations and ‘illegal’ competition from Brazil and Peru. And, ironically, a beef worker’s union went on strike to protest the government’s plan to actually increase beef exports!
There have also been protests in the capital city of La Paz, over gold mining restrictions and taxation (which apparently have been resolved).
It looks more like Bolivia’s supply problems are a direct result of government over-reach.

WHY ARE U.S. TAXPAYER FUNDED RATIONS BEING SOLD TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER?
I discovered that in September 2020, of The Pandemic, the U.S. Air Force (USAF) conducted herbicide spraying over a part of Idaho, claiming that it was an attempt to prevent wildfires by killing Cheatgrass.

The operation was launched from Mountain Home Air Force Base (AFB), using a USAF Reserve 910th Airlift Wing (AW) C-130H Hercules ‘Weed Whacker’ out of Ohio. The USAF also claimed that their herbicide mission would somehow not affect the endangered Sagebrush, and they were actually trying to protect the Sagebrush by targeting Cheatgrass.

The spraying took place over the Saylor Creek bombing & gunnery range near Mountain Home AFB.

From September 14th through 25th, the Weed Whacker flew 1-hundred feet above ground level, at 2-hundred knots ground speed, dumping 19-thousand-979 gallons of diluted herbicide over 3-thousand-50 acres. The crop dusting over Saylor Creek Training Range takes place every year (has the Cheatgrass become resistant?).

The 910th AW’s C-130H Weed Whacker is also used for spraying insecticides, and oil dispersants onto oil spills. It is the only ‘large aircraft’ used by the USAF to conduct spray missions.

I’ve noticed a trend this year, Humanitarian Daily Ration (HDR) clearly marked as “Food Gift From The People Of The UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” are being sold in stores here in Eastern Idaho.
Such a statement indicates the item was already paid for by U.S. taxpayers. So how can this item be resold, to the very same taxpayers, in a retail setting?
One HDR is being sold in a local Southeast Idaho ‘reselling’ store for $5.99, a case of faux MREs is being sold for more than $50!
Apparently they are made by a company in South Carolina.
I discovered that some rations are being auctioned-off on the internet by an outfit called GovDeals. According to their website, they act as a clearing house for federal, state, and local government entities that apparently have surplus items they need to get rid of. This means that the government has too many food rations?!
On the GovDeals website somebody posted the question about shelf-life, because they noticed the rations were three years past the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency’s (DLA) own use-by regulations (“The shelf life of the HDR is 36 months at 80 degrees Fahrenheit.”).
The DLA website explains that at some point in the past, they were ordered by the Defense Security Cooperation Agency-Humanitarian Assistance/Demining Activities to stock up on MRE style rations “In order to provide the widest possible acceptance from the variety of potential consumers with diverse religious and dietary restrictions from around the world…”.
I noticed that the stores selling these, apparently expired, HDRs are calling them MREs (Meal Ready to Eat). The DLA website clarifies that while these rations look like military style MREs, they are technically not because they are not produced to the same standard.
So yes, these have already been paid for by all you happy taxpayers, and yes, apparently they can be resold to happy taxpayers once they are past their ‘use-by’ date! It also is proof that there is no food shortage, because obviously the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency was able to overstock on HDRs! Or maybe that is why there has been food shortages at the grocery stores, it has all been going to the DLA?

After the First World War, several countries formed a new international military organization called International Committee of Military Medicine (ICMM). From the 5th to the 9th of September 2022, the ICMM held a conference in Brussels, Belgium (which also happens to be the HQ of NATO, and the pseudo-capital of the European Union).
The ICMM now includes the militaries of at least 32 countries, however, this year’s conference included the United Nations’ (UN) World Health Organization (WHO), the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), and the World Veterinary Association (WVA). There was also a focus on the African country of Ghana: “We’ve teamed up with the Ghanaian military for decades, including helping establish the Ghana Armed Forces Entomology Center of Excellence in 2021.”-Commander Ian Sutherland, U.S. Navy Entomology Center of Excellence
What is worrying all those different militaries, and the UN-WHO, ICRC and WVA, is not Coronavirus, or any virus or bacteria, but rather the emergence of insecticide resistant insects who are considered to be carriers/spreaders of microbial germs (aka vector-borne diseases).
The U.S. Navy Entomology Center of Excellence revealed it is updating its Insecticide Resistance Response System (IRRS), and working on creating more durable and longer-lasting insecticide treated netting, as well as new field-portable insect testing kits to test for insecticide resistance.

On 09SEP2022, at the request of the NIFC, two Modular Airborne Fire Fighting Systems (MAFFS) equipped C-130s were deployed to Boise Airport (Gowen Field) for fire fighting duties. One is a C-130H Hercules (upgraded with the eight bladed prop) from Nevada Air National Guard, the other is a C-130J Super Hercules from California Air National Guard. The last time C-130s went to Boise Airport was in April 2022, for yearly MAFFS training. The two MAFFS equipped C-130s will remain on-station until 08OCT2022, unless another NIFC request is issued.

On 30AUG2022, the USCG captured this boat along with its illegal fishing crew from Mexico. The USCG claims that on 30AUG2022, they captured a total of three boats being used for illegal fishing, along with 14 people from Mexico.

Residents of Kentucky reporting that this year’s flooding is the worst they’ve seen, with the Governor saying the death toll will hit double digits. State officials declared it to be catastrophic, and admitting they don’t have the labor to adequately respond to calls for rescues. Next door neighbor West Virginia is sending help.

The West Virginia National Guard is sending two UH-60M Blackhawks and two UH-72 Lakota rotary wing aircraft, and their crew. They are rom Company C, 2-104th General Support Aviation Battalion (MEDEVAC) and Company B, 1-224th Security and Support Aviation Battalion, based out of Williamstown.

The flooding is ironic as earlier this month the Kentucky Army National Guard was deployed to one city that was facing sever water shortage.

Beginning 24JUN2022, personnel with Kentucky Army National Guard’s 2061st Multi-Role Bridge Company, as well as the 206th Engineer Battalion, 201st Engineer Battalion, and 103rd Chemical Battalion, have been working to bring potable water to the town of Marion.

Side note: Despite what dictionaries/word-smiths say is the source of the word potable, people should pronounce potable as pot-able (or pot-a-bul), as in the water is able to be used in a pot for cooking/drinking. Non-potable, of course, is water that is not able to be used in a pot for cooking/drinking.
On 22JUN2022, it was reported that administrators in Crittenden County were scrambling to solve a water shortage problem caused by attempts by City of Marion administrators to drain Lake George.
Lake George was the primary water source for Marion, but in April erosion in the lake’s levee suddenly developed into a sink-hole. An attempt was made to drain the Lake George, to prevent total failure of the levee and a resulting massive flood of the town. At first the standard way of draining was not making good progress, so they decided to breech the levee on purpose.

Marion officials had ordered water collection to be switched to the smaller City Lake (aka Old City Lake, which looks more like a big pond), thinking it held one month’s worth of water, and that surely would be enough, but whoopsie, turns out City Lake held only 18-days worth! Apparently what was negatively affecting Lake George is also affecting nearby lakes: “Throughout that process, we were able to begin to put together the picture that it looked like what was causing the issue had something to do with our intake system and damage to our intake system that runs underneath the levee and into the bottom of the lake. Bad went to worse, we lost over a week’s water supply just because of new data that was developed on our secondary source, which had now become our primary source. So, in essence, you can argue that we lost not only one water supply, but quite honestly, we lost two-plus water supplies in this process.”-Adam Ledford, City of Marion
There are several options for the City of Marion; rely on other cities and other counties for water, which will greatly jack-up water costs for Marion residents. Or, have the Governor call in the National Guard and make emergency taxpayer funded water deliveries until a long term solution proves viable.

On 07JUL2022, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced it will attempt to connect Marion with water from the Crittenden-Livingston Water District. Also, Webster County Water has been suppling water, and, Marion officials approved a plan to build a three miles long system to connect to the Caldwell County Water District in Princeton. However, all these expensive water connections to other systems will supply only half of the City of Marion’s water needs. Additional efforts are being attempted.
The City of Marion is a rural city with a population of about 3-thousand.
