Two U.S. gangs operating in Honduras, MS13 and Barrio 18 (both originating in California), specialize in not only drugs but human trafficking into the U.S.

There have been reports that MS13 and Barrio 18 made their way into Honduras after some members were deported there, courtesy of the U.S. government.

Deutsche Welle presented an update report on the situation in Honduras, a gang member called Taylor stated that gang activity escalated in the past four years.
