When Office Depot and Office Max merged analyst knew job losses were coming.  But Office Depot has out done Mitt Romney’s wunderkind (Staples) in the amount of stores that will close.

400 Office Depot/Max stores will be shutdown by 2016.  Staples announced the shutdown of 225 stores this year (who knows how many next year).

It still doesn’t come close to Radio Shack’s shutdown of 1100 stores!  Then there’s Sears/Kmart which some analysts say could hit 500 stores shutdown this year!

And don’t forget all the dozens of other retail “giants” who’re closing dozens of their stores this year!  What economic recovery?
