In northern California, a small native tribe tried to kick out a former female tribal leader and her son.  However, the 44 years old woman resisted by shooting and stabbing to death four Cedarville Rancheria Paiute tribal elders, and wounding two others.

Alturas Police officials say they captured the renegade female elder running from the scene, still clutching a butcher knife.  Some news media sources are leaving out the fact that the woman also used a knife, mentioning only the gun as part of their anti-gun agenda.

It was a wounded victim that ran for help, notifying the Alturas Police Department.  Current news reports do not explain why the former tribal leader was being ousted.
