In Maidan Wardak Province, Syed Abad District, reports that three U.S. soldiers and their Afghan translator were killed by an explosion. They were killed by a suicide donkey bomb. The U.S. military confirms the donkey rider and the donkey were also killed. Mujahideen claim the explosion was large and killed or wounded many more U.S. personnel. Witnesses say several medivac ‘copters were called in.
In Uruzgan Province, Khas District, seven Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers were killed by motorcycle bomb. In Tarinkot city, a bicycle bomb exploded wounding three cops and nine civilians.
In Kandahar Province, Maiwand District, reports that at least seven NATO/ISAF supply trucks were destroyed by Mujahideen. No reports of casualties. Mujahideen also say they launched three rockets at Kandahar airbase. They then booby trapped the launch site with explosives, which exploded as U.S./NATO personnel arrived on seen.
In Ghazni Province, Qarabagh District, Mujahideen say a suicide car bomber left 17 NATO/ISAF soldiers dead and 20 wounded. Four armored vehicles destroyed after he drove his explosives packed car into the military convoy. Reports say the explosion was so big that body parts are being found several meters away.
In Zabul Province, Shahjoi District, U.S. trained ANA soldiers raided Musazo village and shot and killed the local prayer leader, his son and another man while they were working in the orchard. ANA soldiers also raided Ibrahim Khelo village, with reports that they killed one civilian and beat several others.
In Logar Province, Khoshi District, Mujahideen say they countered a U.S./NATO/ANA offensive. Six NATO/ANA troops killed, eight wounded, three vehicles destroyed. One Mujahid killed, two wounded. Mujahideen say they are ambushing NATO/ANA troops who’re trying to retrieve the bodies of their comrades.
