Reports from Egyptian TV news that the U.S. backed Egyptian military has place democratically elected President Mohammed Morsi under house arrest, and has taken over the government!

The government run newspaper, al-Ahram, has been taken over by the military and issued a report saying Morsi will be removed from office if he did not resign.

Reports that Morsi’s national security adviser says the military is now attacking Morsi supporters!  Egyptian newspapers reporting Muslim Brotherhood members are being arrested. This after Morsi pled with Egyptians not to take sides against each other.

The Egyptian military will run the country under a transitional government, for at least 12 months before new elections will be held.
